The most delicious ice cream i’ve ever tried! The new administration is taking so much care of their business and they are very welcoming. Really enjoyed my experience.

The quality of the coffee is unbelievably good compared to Starbucks. Will definitely come back.

Every time I visit from Ontario, Chocomax is a must visit. They are the best chocolatier anywhere. The handmade chocolates are the finest and you can tell by the quality that the owner is passionate about their work. They also make a fruit jam that works as an absolutely delicious filling for homemade pies. I always recommend this place to friends when I know they are heading to Montreal. Try it once and you will be a customer for life.

I only tried the soft serve ice cream dipped in chocolate and that was not a good experience. The ice cream melted a lot right away and dripped in large amount all over the place. The ice cream however feels very cold and watery a bit like McDonald's ice cream. I feel like the ice cream would need more fat to have a better texture and better survive dipping and not feel excessively cold maybe? Many other ice cream place offer a much better dipped ice cream experience with much less dramatic melt down after dipping. The basic ice cream cones also felt lower quality than usual. They do have the option to buy waffle cones that looked nice however.

All that being said, the rest of the shop seems to have a lot of nice products which seem to be good quality. I will try other things and update my review accordingly. The dipped soft-serve experience though is definitely a 2 stars unfortunately.

I went to try their famous hot chocolate and let me tell you it was the most delicious hot chocolate I tested in MTL, they use the highest quality of Belgian chocolate in it which makes it taste very rich. They also had the ice cream which I was told was homemade which I will definitely be back for! They deserve much more recognition would rate them more than five stars if I could.

Love this little gem in ville saint-Laurent. Ice cream is always fresh and they have delicious pastries:)

Très bonne crème glacée artisanale. Le personnel est très aimable. À essayer si vous êtes dans le coin et quoi de mieux que d’encourager les commerces locales!:)

People were very nice. They even let me try free samples before buy anything. Chocolate ice cream is very good.

Wooow une crème glacée qui vaut la peine. La dernière fois que je suis venue j’ai essayé le tiramisu et c’étais succulent. Ca se voit que c’est une recette maison!

I am not a resident of Montreal. I reside in Vancouver, BC. However I stay in VSL when I’m in town. ChocoMax is a must for me when I’m there! I really enjoy their cafe au lait made with oat milk (I can’t drink regular milk). I love, love their pistachio truffles! It is so addictive. I have also enjoyed their chocolate barks in the past as well. The interior is cosy and well decorated. Only negative is they don’t always have enough supply of croissants. When their chocolate croissant is fresh out of their oven, it is incredible!

My entire family CANNOT get enough of this place. Everyday is a treat from the amazing ice-cream flavors to the chocolate. OMG I really really love our family evening walk to Chocolaterie. To think it’s my 2yr old who showed me the store & he loves loves coming here.

Best customer service and best ice-cream in the entire Montreal. The young lad and lady are the best. When in Montreal give them a try.

A big shout out to the staff of Chocomax, who entertained a request for a Moka drink just at closing time last night. It was my last day of vacationing in Montreal and I really wanted to have a good Moka before I left for my hometown and boy oh boy was the coffee good? It was actually one of the best Moka's I've ever had. It was divine. Great quality ingredients.

Delicious gelato and sorbets! My friends know the guy who owns the shop and makes the gelatos and chocolates. Recommended if you’re in the area and worth a trip even if you’re not. Recommend the dark 70% chocolate gelato!

Great find! This is the best ice cream I had in Montreal. Delicious green tea ice cream, they got it right. The place is super cute. The service is very good, they encourage you to try the ice cream flavours, they are very proud of their product as they should!
