On a Tuesday afternoon, lots of reps in the bank but in their rooms, not sure why can't they help when there are lots of customers waiting!? !
Only ONE teller was doing her job, therefore long waiting line.
N. B: This was after being bummed by the one on Samson being closed unexpectedly!

I'm a client here. I called almost a week a go for an appointment with a financial advisor and still waiting for a return call. I'm thinking of changing bank. UPDATE IT'S NOW BEEN 11 MONTHS AND STILL NO CALL BACK AND YES I CALLED MORE THAN ONCE.

Long lines waiting. Service can be easily improved with more reps. They are overloaded w work so they forgot about waiting customers. Juma was a very hardworking customer service last time I was there last week. Avoid lunch hours visit to this branch.

Great service. They have the new guichet with no enveloppes.the staff is always smiling and friendly. Nice branch!

Went there to open a checking account, suggested me to also open a savings account. I accepted just for the sake of it.
I was left alone for 15 minutes with full access to their computer (the clerk did not even bother locking it) while the clerk went to get me a debit card and most likely gossip with another employee since it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to do this.
After leaving, i got e-mails from CIBC telling me that my Checking account was not open and i needed to take an appointment to open it.
I went online and i saw they only opened my savings account.

It scares me with how CIBC tells us our money and personal information is safe when experiencing this situation. And the incompetence from the clerk to not be able to open a savings and a checking account at the same time frustrated me.

I had to take another appointment to another branch, the one at Daniel-Johnson blvd in order to finish opening my checking account, since i was told i needed to take an appointment and this branch was booked for the next month.
I showed up to my appointment at the Daniel-Johnson branch 5 minutes early. I was expecting the clerk was ready to great me, but they were not. They showed up at the exact time of the appointment and said hi to me and went to their cubicle and was getting ready for our appointment. It took them 10 minutes to get ready.
I opened up the checking account and asked them their rates and what are their rates for lines of credits for students. They told me i needed a specific income, that i already made this year and they vary per customers. I asked them what range do they vary from, they told me they can do a simulation to have an idea of what my rate would be. The clerk was not able to make a simulation that took about 20 minutes. I said i just wanted to know the variations and they ended up telling me. After the simulation, t he clerk at the Daniel-Johnson branch told me i was pre-approved for overdraft protection and i should get overdraft protection especially because i do most of my business with RBC. I asked why they said especially because i do most of my business with RBC. They ignored my question. I did not bother pushing more as i did not want to waste more time. I asked the advantages would i get if moved my business from RBC to CIBC and told me their rates are better and i compared to the rates of RBC and CIBC and they are higher. I told the clerk CIBC's rates are higher then what i have currently with RBC. The clerk told me they don't want my business anymore.

I guess that CIBC won't have my business. Since they told me that they don't want my business, believe they can call me by my first name like if we're high school friends instead of being professional when meeting for the first time, they do not value my time and they don't even care about my privacy.
