There is a reason why this place is rated at 2.1 stars at the time of this review.
I could agree anymore with my fellow reviewers. It’s very funny the one of the key words of the reviews of this place is “joke” and indeed, this place is a joke.
Thy truly don’t care about their customers and really don’t want to help.
It is a disgrace that CIBC in the Montreal area have fallen like this. Not only this one but all the nearby branches are awful. No one of them have a rating better than 3.5, and right fully so.
I truly hope there could be some changes in the near future, but I’m not hopeful that it would really happen.

Worst bank of Canada. Months and Months waiting for receiving my card replacement, call after call, non working web chat, useless phone mechanism. The treacherous Costco sell our accounts without asking us before to this "bank" which is unrelated to competency, decency or good service. They should have the bank license removed and banned from Canada. You can't even cancel a card you never received and you never used.
I would have to agree with the rest of the comments. This is my second time in this branch and both times were unpleasant. The staff is rude, unhelpful and they just don't care. If you're looking for a good customer service experience this branch is just not it.
Totally agree with other posters. Experience was unpleasant and time consuming and super slow. Only quickly moving staff person there seemed to be the security guard who made you feel as if you were being profiled. I waited for the female teller to get me a flyer after email I recieved, and surprise surprise, they didn't have any. The male teller who was even more inconsiderate to the time their, IMO, ineffective service was taking sounded impatient and aggressive. The branch itself is modern in appearance and is in a convenient location but culture seemed harsher than the Cibc culture I grew up with. And as another poster said the people in charge seemed really young and I would add inexperienced. I am probably going to make an appointment at another branch that has a more professional/inclusive business culture feel to it, and knows how not to turn customer experience/their service into a joke. The appointment time suggested by the female teller would have been impossible for someone working during the day to keep and instead of asking me what time would be good for me she said I could make an appointment on line, as if I didn't know that. Why did I waste my time going into the branch? Maybe to feel safer and more secure? I guess they know the biggest asset they have to sell is trust and confidence in their products, which is why many of their products are called securities. Without trust no one would be putting their money in their bank especially during these times of constant emergencies and when long term planning seems to be luxurious and impractical. Even though the reason I went to this branch was not for a dormant account, conversation turned out to be about dormant account policy, which made me wonder how many Cibc clients were dealing with the added stress at Christmas time of a dormant account and wouldn't a monthly interest payment keep account active? Scary times.
Every visit, I felt that they looked down on client by breaking appointments and making clients wait for more than 30 mins despite the booked appointment.
Une succursale qui n'a jamais répondu au téléphone, c'Est comme ca que vous allez garder vos clients. Bravo. Toutes les banques canadiennes répondent au téléphone au niveau des succursales sauf vous. Vous êtes loin d'être concurrent, et ce n'est pas avec vous qu'on risque de rester longtemps.
I arrived five minutes to closing and there were no customers inside yet they wouldn’t let me in. Bad business. Change your closing time so we don’t travel to get there if you won’t let us in within it.

Incredibly long wait if you need to go to the tellers. I go there for deposits for my job and longest i waited was an hour and an half in the sun. I pity the senior customers that goes there and wait in the sun for that long. Security guards are lifeless and seems bored as hell just walking around.
When you get inside after a long wait you realize there's only 1 or 2 tellers for dozens of customers.
They also gave us a key to a hatch so we could do deposits without waiting but the first time we used it they managed to lose all 3 deposits and blamed it on us saying we hadn't deposited them until they later found them
Such unprofessional bank and branch. I have a problem depositing cheques with app and ATM. At branch they promised to fix it in 1 day and call me back. NO FIX AND NO CALL BACK. AVOID THIS BANK!
Very long wait time.go to Rene Levesque bl CIBC from LaSalle I believe still save fees minutes only. Service when Chinese girl is very long others are less weird. They open safe without permission had cell phone and gold never had back. Was empty when I go back to reopen locker safe with my key.

Par téléphone nous tombons sur une boîte vocale avec la voix de la directrice et pas de retour, ou une commis nous rappelle deux jours plus tard. En personne au comptoir la responsable de l’expérience client est bête comme ses pieds. On a l’impression qu’on les dérange.
Service tres tres lent, beaucoup d'employés débutent et la doyenne est non sympatique peu courtoise, 2 semaine avant de pouvoir avoir un rendez vous pour ouvrir un simple compte cheques.aujourd'hui cibc a perdu un client de plus de 15 ans pour leurs mauvais service et la non courtoisie. Sauver du temps, évitez cette banque.
Slowest branch ever. One teller is working and 12 people are waiting in the line. We are not buying coffee and bagel! You are making money with these people's money who are waiting in this line to get a service from you!
