Enfin une clinique vétérinaire envers laquelle on peut avoir confiance, rigoureuse, humaine et qui n'essaie pas de surcharger pour des tests inutiles. C'est vraiment appréciable.

We have been customers of this vet since 2019. Their veterinarian is very professional, but since Hannah left, the new front desk lady who with glasses is not friendly at all and they started to charge ridiculously expensive. They have doubled the price in 10 months. I got the exactly same document for my dog for the international trip, it was 45 in 2022, and now it’s 65 before taxes, which it's unacceptable. I believe there will be more veterinary hospitals in the town with reasonable price

Superbly customer service. I filled their online form. They took the time to review all the info and call me back with comments and recommendations. I didn't took the appointment in the end, but they deserve the starts.

The technicians and Dr Prigent are amazing. My dog feels safe and cared for when we visit.

I still receive great service with the techs but Dr Prigent no longer works there.
Front desk staff is a hit or miss, they're not particularly warm but they are polite.

We went in for shots and his teeths. Same day after leaving my dog starts chewing the heck out of his paws and legs so I contacted them right away. It took the vet almost a week to get back to me. He left a message basically saying its impossible that my dog caught anything there and that if i want him looked at i would have to pay. They seem to be heavily money motivated. They quoted me almost 2k for mouth surgery, shopped around and every vet is almost 40% cheaper. Staff is rude. Be careful will not return

We are really happy with this vet. They take amazing care of our cats. Everyone there seems to genuinely love animals and that makes it easy to trust them. The prices are fair as well.

I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of my fur babies. Two of my cats had dental surgery here and everything went super smoothly. They also called the day after to ask how they were doing. I kind of envy my cats for having access to such good health care services.

We have been regular customers at this vet for over a year and have had problems every visit. A serious health problem was found on my dog and we were brushed off when trying to fix it. We were told to simply monitor it and come back in a year to do the same test again. After visiting several other vets, we found out that PSC should have offered treatments and was neglecting our dogs health. We have had our dog mis-diagnosed, told one thing one week and then the opposite the next week. There is no communication between vets within the clinic. Two serious problems were missed on my dog. Will be reaching out to the OMVQ as they are letting animals suffer and not treating them.

Amazing service from the technicians + vets and good prices. I recommend. Although, I have to be honest i never got a good service from the receptionists. No smiles, cold attitude.

The staff is excellent and the clinic is clean and welcoming. The staff is patient and take their time to listen to your concerns. My cat has a very sensitive stomach and it's been hard to find a food that doesn't make him sick. They were able to provide one that has been working great for him.

Not to good wait to long went some where else got a cheeper price on the south shore thank you but no thanks

Positives they're very nice, they love animals, clean, I've found them to be pretty prompt personally.
I agree with other comments that it was better before it moved. Different vibe. For one, it used to be right by a metro now it's quite far. I feel like the old location was more central. They're not open weekends or after 6pm which makes it difficult to buy the prescription food I can only apparently buy from the vet.
Everytime it's a bit expensive, as I don't know much I'm not sure all the tests were necessary. They have a habit of alarming me about something, doing the test and saying it wasn't that. I understand things aren't perfect science, sometimes symptoms point to something else and they assure me it's a good thing that it wasn't that but in the end it's alot of money for not much help. Again I don't have experience with other vets, maybe this is normal. I don't think I'll change vets over it but this was my experience.

Today my experience w/ one of receptionist at the front desk was horrible. The vet and technician there are professional and patient. However, when I was waiting to pay for my bills, my pup met another pup. My dog was excited and trying to bite the pup. I just wanted to prevent him from getting hurt again cuz he just got bitten by another dog a few days ago. So I chose to stand in front him and told him not to do that. But my pup bared his teeth to me and tried to bite me, I just patted him on his nose to tell him to stop. I swear to god even petting was way more aggressive than what I did. However, the receptionist accused me of “hitting my dog” in front of other clients. That is rude and unprofessional. After I told her I was just telling my pup not to bite me, she just said “fine” to me. I felt offended and angry. In this clinic I was accused of something I didn’t do. I really hope to see a professional receptionist next time.

They have supposedly a great service but when I called for my cat, they told me they weren't taking any new customers at the time and didn't even bother to refer me to someone else. I mean, it's ok not to want your competition to steal your clientele but you didn't want me as a customer in the first place. Not sure they care about animals so much.

J'y suis allé pour un RDV d'urgence pour mon vieux chat déjà très malade suivi en médecine interne au CVL. La vétérinaire et la technicienne ont été très apathiques et à l'écoute. Vraiment un bon service et des prix vraiment bien. J'y retournerai avec mes prochains animaux sans hésiter.

I find myself writing a review for Pointe Vet because I truly want others to know how kind and caring Dr. Drooker is to both his pet patients and their human parents!

When I first adopted my adult cat from the SPCA in May 2020, it was hard to find a vet amidst the pandemic. Most were still closed at the time but I did my research and knew I wanted to open Chaï's file at this clinic based on the reviews. I was not disappointed at all.

For the past two years, Dr. Drooker has handled Chaï's case and done so beautifully. He does not push to do unnecessary (often stressful!) test for the cat (especially as she is older now) and takes all the time to truly discuss every issue and concern with you. Over the past two years, he took the time either by phone or in person to answer any and all questions of mine, even when it wasn't my appointment time and I happened to see him in the clinic while picking up a prescription. He remembered Chaï and her condition and made himself available for me to ask follow up questions. He even prescribed an antibiotic on the spot for her chin acne despite me not having an appointment!

Furthermore, it is true: the prices at the clinic are VERY reasonable. When I first told my mom about the consultation fee and then the dental surgery estimate that I was given here, she was shocked at how good they were, being a long time (40+ years) cat owner herself.

All in all, I truly am so grateful for Dr. Drooker's care as I navigate the vet market in Vancouver following a recent move. I hope I can find a comparable vet as I read through hundreds of Vancouver veterinary clinic reviews.

Finally, to address some points made in other reviews that could be included but nonetheless do not affect my 5-star rating of the place:

- It is difficult to get ahold of them over the phone. It seemed much easier back in 2020; now they send you straight to voicemail which is frustrating. Perhaps something to consider changing on their part as it can take some time to get a call back from the receptionist.

- There is one receptionist that can be rude/condescending honestly. I have dealt with her a few times and have had better service with literally anyone else at the clinic. This did not stop me from returning however as the actual cat/pet care is fantastic.

- While I do follow all COVID procedures and recommendations, it does suck that (still) in 2022 you cannot go in the consultation room with your pet. This is not so much a criticism as a fact. I understand the room is small and I get that they want to protect the staff as they are a small clinic and a covid outbreak would probably mean the clinic closing abruptly and pet appointments being cancelled. However, it is strange as they don't uphold social distancing when they come discuss with you in the lobby.

The veterinarians here fully explain and take their time to help you with your pets visit and they really prioritize the health of your pet. Amazing experiences every time I've gone and I 100% trust them with my cats care.

Quick, efficient, genuine care. Been going for years and even though I moved off island I will do thr extra drive to have my pets seen by this wonderful team!

As a cat owner, I can't imagine a more perfect vet clinic. Having a sick pet is incredibly stressful and knowing that I have this clinic to support me has been reassuring beyond words. Everyone who works there is kind and helpful, and they make efforts to make sure to assist you as soon as they can. They clearly love animals, but also have enormous empathy towards owners. At every point, they have transparently discussed multiple options with me, and helped me avoid unnecessary procedures that would be expensive for me and stressful for my cat. They truly seem to do this work for all the right reasons, and I trust them so so much.

I’ve gone to pointe vet since it opened at the old location 6+ years ago. I swore by this place ever since. Sadly, this place has gone downhill since they moved.

My cat developed a weird skin condition on his leg and Pointe Vet took him right away which was awesome. Dr Adner’s reaction was, “I’ve never seen anything like this before, let’s see if antibiotics will resolve it and if not, come back for further testing. ” The antibiotics didn’t work. I called with an update to which a second antibiotic was prescribed. I asked about the “further testing” and should have pushed that more, but she still wanted to try more meds. Those didn’t work. She then suggested I go to a specialist because she was completely lost as to what this was but first we did a culture. Culture came out negative. I found a specialist at the DMV. The specialist said they weren’t sure what this was and a biopsy was needed and I could go back to Pointe for that. After doing the biopsy, we finally found that my cat developed a very rare vascular skin disease with no treatment or cure. The only solution was amputation. After getting the devastating news, we booked the surgery out for 2 weeks. Adner was so sweet and empathetic every time we spoke. She’s a good vet, however I do wish veterinarians in general would jump to a biopsy when they are not sure of a skin issue rather than trying different meds that can potentially lead to long term problems. I actually asked about this and her response was “we prefer not to be invasive so quickly and USUALLY these meds work. ”

Now in between all this, I’ve communicated via email, and phone many times with techs, and the secretary for follow ups, to which there was a lack of empathy, totally disregarding the stress Ive been enduring and at times they wouldn’t even answer their emails or the phones for days.

I got a call telling me my cats surgery had to be canceled due to a covid outbreak and to "find another vet. " At this point, having gone through the disorganization, poor communication amongst the staff for months, trying to get through to people etc I emailed Dr. Drooker directly with all my feedback on my experience and asked he find a clinic for me because I felt that based under these circumstances, it was their duty to help me with this.

I get a very friendly call back from him, explaining that they can’t control what happens during the pandemic (fully understandably, with that, most clinics are slammed right now) and he will definitely try his best to keep me in the loop and make sure he’s got our best interest in mind. I asked about sending me to another clinic to proceed with this and his response was “it isn’t that simple. In the animal health business it’s competitive so we can’t just send clients to other clinics. " This was an odd response to me, because I thought the well being of animals was what mattered, not competition.

2 days before the surgery, I got a call from Drooker telling me he had to be off a month due to family catching covid, so my cats surgery needed to be pushed a month. I asked why Adner wasn’t doing the surgery, and he said she wasn’t experienced enough (she told me she’s done many amputation surgeries so that confused me). I understand this wasn't his fault. He also promised me he would check in with me regularly throughout the month to make sure my cat is okay. Didn’t check in with me once.

Surgery happened - according to Drooker he did an awesome job, according to second opinion, now, the incision was poorly done and the stitches were too tight. It took my cat 2 months to heal. I asked on FB if anyone knew a good vet mentioning I wasn't happy with my current one (no names dropped). Someone from the clinic saw (no idea who), told Drooker.and he called me to let me know someone showed him my post, was confused, and ended the call with "good luck finding something better. " without even hearing me out.

I’ll say that overall, the staff are knowledgeable to a degree but if they ever deal with something more complex, they struggle on decision making and professionalism.

The best staff a vet could have! Very helpful and friendly. They all know what they're doing and are great with communicating. My cats have bad teeth but they're the first vet not to into surgery and helps us with foods and how to take care of their teeth. Thank you for being kind.

I started bringing my cats here a couple months ago. They have been very attentive and kind to the cats and me, and are competent in their ability to manage issues ranging from arthritis to kidney disease. Their treatments are comparatively quite affordable compared to other vets, highly recommended!

Compassionate, transparent, and excellent value. I've had a lot of negative experiences with vets trying to put the screws to me, upselling etc. None of that happened.

I explained I had what I thought was an urgent situation, they confirmed it and saw my animal during lunch. I was surprised how cheap everything was, but I shouldn't have been as they list all prices on their website.

Affordable, good care. There is a small wait to get on their client list and it's not very close to my house but I had to choose this vet because of the glowing recommendations from a few different friends. Their rates tend to be lower than other vets on the island but the quality of care and warmth is still excellent. Their treatment philosophy is very transparent and keeps in mind that not everyone who adopts a cat or dog has unlimited money to spend. Other vets will surprise you with a much larger bill than quoted, or do treatments without asking or discussing what's truly necessary. This vet will explain clearly what treatments are most to least important so you can make an informed decision. As an example, a friend of mine saved over a thousand dollars on dental surgery for their dog at this vet compared to a quote from one in NDG- worth the extra drive.
