Très belle expérience, Ken le propriétaire est très gentil s’assure de la satisfaction de sa clientèle. La nourriture est très bonne et l’ambiance est parfait pour une belle soirée resto. Je recommande.

Nous y sommes allés pour Montréal à table et avons adoré la fraîcheur des plats. Les dumplings aux beurre d'arachide étaient déclicieux et le plateau de sushi était super frais. Les sashimis étaient en gros morceaux généreux et sushis étaient originaux. L'ambiance étaient tamisée et agréable. Le service était excellent.

De mon côté on commandait là souvent depuis la pandémie pour ramassage. On a remarqué que les prix n’ont cessé de monter d’une manière abusive. Ce qui a mis un terme définitif à notre soutient a ce resto: rendu avec une commande de 200$+ pour quatre on s’est tranquillement rendu compte qu’il nous manquait tjrs un plat ou deux sur notre commande. La dernière fois il nous manquait pour $40 de sushis. Appelle le resto et ils veulent pas rembourser ils insistent pour venir nous livrer les plats manquants alors qu’on a déjà fini de souper. Il a fallu les menacer d’appeler visa pour qu’ils nous remboursent. Plus jamais, you are not the only overpriced sushis in town.

Excellent choix de sushis qui sont excellents eux aussi. Le poisson est frais, les arrangements et épices également. Vous ne serez pas déçus.

Probably the best sushi I ever ate. Super fresh, amazing presentation & the speciality rolls are SO GOOD. Our fav was the truffle tuna roll? Staff was very nice too.

Have been to many sushi restaurants but none quite like this. The service was impeccable, the presentation perfect and don’t even get me started on the sushi. This is the best, (yes the best!) sushi restaurant ever.

Coba n'est pas un mauvais restaurant, loin de là. Toutefois, j'ai été déçue de mon expérience car mes attentes étaient hautes. J'avais l'impression que ce serait un restaurant Japonais, alors je fus bien surprise d'y trouver de tout sur le menu: des Pad Thai, du Général Tao, bol Poké, plat vietnamien: J'ai tendance à me méfier des cartes qui vont dans tous les sens. Les makis sont donc en conséquence: bon mais américanisés, très "décorés",   avec beaucoup de mayo et de friture, et trop gros pour être mangés en une bouchée, etc. On voit que l'exécution n'est pas super minutieuse car les rouleaux sont inégalement coupés. Bref,  si on est amateurs de sushi tout en raffinement et délicatesse,  ce n'est pas le bon endroit. Ça plaira toutefois à pas mal tout le monde, c'est très passe-partout. Le prix est évidemment très "laurier ouest". Lors de notre visite, la musique assez forte jouait du Britney Spears et autre succès pop, ce qui n'améliore pas l'ambiance. Le service est froid et distant.   Bref, j' y retournerai possiblement mais avec une autre optique. Je mettrais 3 étoiles et demi.

Nice decor, good service but very very small portions and totaly overpriced for what you get. Ate a Poke wich left me on my apetite. The price of the sushis are sky high and you even have to pay for ginger or wasabi. Fortunatly there is a lot of better value in the neighborhood.

Definitely one of the best sushi restaurant in Montreal. Food is delicious and a lot superior in comparison to any ordinary sushi "all you can eat", the difference is also made by the way the food is beautifully presented. The location is pretty and elegant, suitable for a romantic dinner as well. The service was excellent. The staff was very thoughtful and nice.

Walking down Mont-Royal, hungry for something fresh and not so heavy, we stumbled upon this very restaurant. Modern looking, traditional feeling, new yet familiar, we sat and ordered.
We were greeted, seated and beautifully served amazing looking plates. Everything is fresh and mouthwatering.
The Fiesta Caliente was OH SO GOOD and nicely paired with some edamame, then we received the WAGYU NIGIRI and. OMG WOW a wonderful start to a delicious food journey! Finally the sushi platter arrived and we enjoyed each and every piece!
Thank you again Côba Sushi team, WE WILL come back again!

Probably the best sashimi I have had in Montreal.
Even their kitchen smells like kitchens in japan. ️ The fish was super fresh and melted in out mouths. The umeshu drink was also excellent.

Absolutely adore this restaurant… consistently excellent time & time again. The staff is also extremely polite & professional. Montreal deserves a gem like Coba.

Coba has a great ambiance, dark and romantic. It's our first time here, we got an assortment of maki, nigiri and sashimi and the fish was extremely fresh! The service was fantastic as well, I'll definitely come back for more ️ Love it?

The Worst Sushi in Town. The staff don't care at all. They do not respect the client. I had a reservation and they wanted to cancel it last minute. Waste of money

Coba est une place unique. La diversité des plats, l’originalité des sushis et leurs fraîcheurs en font une place haute gamme avec des prix abordables. Je suis un client de longue date. Déjà 15 ans que je visite régulièrement le Coba. Même proprio depuis plus de 20 ans, ils ont un service attentionné. Merci Coba et bonne continuation.

Excellent quality sushi and nice location. They recently changed from a BYOB to a full bar menu with fantastic drinks. One of my fav spots for sushi in the city. Owner is often there and great person. Highly recommend.

This place have some amazing sushi! You MUST definitely try their specialty. I had the Sake Rockerfeller and it was really good. This restaurant beats my expectation by far. Will definitely go back.

What an incredible experience. We asked the owner to recommend/surprise us with dishes for the 6 of us. Each dish that arrived at the table was impeccably presented, flavourful, and different. Good sushi, horrible service.

Today we ordered sushi for takeout. We had purchased certificates to support local businesses in these hard times and we made a $120 commitment to Coba. When we tried to pay they refused to abide by the conditions of the certificates and yelled that if we didn't like it we should take it to the organization that sold us the certificates.

We were trying to support a local business and we ended up being mistreated. We're never coming back.

Nous etions clients regulier, nous commandions pour une famille de 4 personnes durant la covid, cependant une fois sur deux il manquait un item malgré qu il soit facturé. Le responsable nous engueule comme si c est notre faute. Nous n irons plus ici car mauvais service. Conseil, verifier vos commandes pour apporter avant de quitter l endroit car mauvaise surprise possible.

This sushi place is truly incredible!

You can bring your own wine, which is a plus, because not all sushi places allow it.

I had the chance to try this place on a Thursday night with 2 friends. The restaurant wasn't packed, which made it cozier, especially that the place isn't big. We made two orders, which included wonton soup, avocado hosomaki, dragon eye roll, hollywood roll, and others. I'd have to say that their dragon eye roll is probably the best one I've had in Montreal in a while! Everything we had the chance to try was absolutely delicious.
The service wa also great, the sushis arrived pretty quickly, but still felt fresh.

I definitely recommend this place for a group of 2-4 people, as it is very cozy.

Hot potato! This place is expensiiiiive. I should've known since it is on Laurier but it seemed so unassuming.
This restaurant is busy and the waiters do not have time to explain. It's very quick. You get the menu's and a pencil, the water, the napkins and utensils, as soon as you sit down and even after they pick up plates as soon as you're done.

They don't only have sushi but I was really craving sushi at the time so didn't order their poke bowls/other meals.
It's BYOB/BYOW.
The sushi are expensive for the amount of pieces received. Upwards of $9.50 for 6 pieces of makis. There is a special 6 service option for 2 for $100 but it came with things we didn't really want. For about 40 pieces it was $100 for two, which is more than I have ever spent on sushi.

It wasn't even much better than AYCE sushi joints (for the rolls we got). Since I like very regular and simple rolls, they ended up tasting good but only marginally better than at sushi buffets that I've been to.

Lesson learned, AYCE sushi buffets are more my speed.

Mais le prix est où le bât blesse. Je comprends que les prix sont affichés (pour la plupart) sur le menu, mais beaucoup trop dispendieux pour ce qu'on a. Un coup assis, évidemment on reste et on mange, mais je pense que la "surcharge Outremont" est un peut ridicule à cet endroit.

Great prices. *** Bring your own wine *** Tran (the owner) great Interaction with the clientele, nothing is too much trouble menu wise. Attentive staff, everything you could want for a very attentive restaurant and food. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was good but nothing outstanding. We had sushi and it felt like I could have bought it from the Sushi Shop and spiced it up with little artisanal tactics.

Service from the waitress was average but the delivery of food was rather slow. Other tables that came after us had the food before us.

The atmosphere and vibe is non-existent. We were there as a group of 12 and others were complaining because we were a little loud.

It's ok, but this isn't a "sushi" resto. They serve general tao and bird nest with spring rolls. I think I would classify this as a Asian fusion resto.

Last week was the first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had great time with the good service, with the first-rate cooking and fine drinks and with the honest price. We will definitely come back again.
