Concept Nails (Dipping Powder)

My daughter Went to remove her nails. They are very nice people but this is the job they did. Took them 1hour, and didn't know what they were doing. The job is not done properly.

I got treated so bad at this place. The guy doing my nails and his wife (another employee) kept talking about me in their language. Everytime i said something the guy or the lady would make comments abt me in their language. While giving me a dirty look, the second i gave her the same look she stopped for abit. Also the color i picked wasn't of my choice! Bad treatment at this salon!

It was my first time going here so I was a little nervous but I was pleasantly surprised! As me and my friend walked in, both of the workers were sitting and waiting for us. We did not have to wait at all. We were sitting side by side and we finished around the same time. Loved the result! My nails were $85 and I tipped.

Not the friendliest staff. I know, I know “it’s a nail salon” … but the woman working on my hands was aggressively pulling/tossing my fingers/hands while talking in her native language to her colleague.
My nails looked ok in the end but some spots on the nails a little thinker and kinda “bumpy”. I didn’t dare to say anything (wasn’t in the mood for arguing or any negative emotion).

Will spend my money elsewhere next time.

Not pleased with the customer service at all. Twice booked an appointment, went there only to find out that one time they hadn’t noted it down at all and second time that they had booked me for another random date. Both times I was not offered anything else that could fit my schedule. As for the actual manicure I had one time, it was shellac and surface was not even, nail not properly sealed causing it to flake away 1 week later but thought of giving it another chance. Pedicure was regular and was ok.

Pas très propre. Ils utilisent les mêmes outils pour toutes les clientes. Je suis allée deux fois en un mois et demi. La première fois mon dipping était atrocement gros. On aurait dit des faux ongles alors que non. Je les ai enlevés tout de suite après. La deuxième fois (j’étais mal prise), j’ai fait une manucure gel normal en me disant que ça ne pouvait être ratée - erreur. Le vernis s’est enlevé en moins d’une semaine et mes ongles (en bonne santé) se sont tous mis à casser un à un. Mais bon comme on dit, il est honteux de se heurter deux fois à la même pierre.

Nail polish looks nice and pedicure massage was okay, however the place itself is not hygienic and the lady did not speak French or English. We had 0 communication. There is gunk on all of their bottles and the washroom is not clean. I can see finger prints all over the arms of the chairs, too. My toe was cut, and the tool used to dry my nails was not clean. Not the “relaxing experience” I hoped to receive. The radio is also very loud and playing pop music. I won’t return, and I find the reviews for this place misleading.

10/10 would recommend anna did an amazing job! Very sweet and always made sure i liked it before she movers on to the next step i will Definitely be coming back for my refilling

I went there with a botched nail job from a different nail salon. The girls at Concept were so helpful and made my nails look beautiful. Best nail experience I’ve had. Thanks so much guys!

This place should be shut down due to lack of hygiene. When I got how dirty the place is, it was too late. Now, I have inflammation on my toenail. I just got fooled by good reviews here… I don’t understand people how can you give good ratings to this place. Do you live in dirt?

They broke my nail, the cut was uneven, their work was very very rushed, they didn’t cut my cuticles, there was a huge language barrier I had to repeat myself multiple times I was concerned that they didn’t understood what I was saying. I will not be coming back.

I had such a horrible experience. They are just a money machine trying to get customers in and out as soon as possible. So quality is quite trash. I did a gel manicure and regular pedi. I walked out unhappy because I have so many uneven edges and nail polish all over my cuticles. My pedicure is already smeared somehow. My sister was scheduled later because she is a bride and they told my sister that they couldn’t do a nail extension because of the shape of her nails and convinced her that her nails looked nice! Despite her not liking them at all! I could have done a better job at home with my eyes closed than what they did. I took my sister back so that they could fix it and they told us that what we asked is not possible to do. And they told us to come back at 5 which is closing time! We didn’t go back and we went to Lavender nail salon and they took us and they did exactly what my sister wanted! If I could give this place negative stars I would.

This is a nice nail salon. The nail techs were very accommodating and did a high quality. The foot massage I got was amazing!

Today, I decided to test my luck to call for an appointment. And surely enough I was lucky. I had a really great experience. I think her name was May? I'm sorry I've forgotten! I was introduced to Nail Dipping because it was healthier for the nails. At first I was really skeptical because I thought it was going to be chunky and bulky. But I was wrong it looked so natural and cute <3 Thank you for making my first experience perfect <3 I will definitely come back. -xoxo-

I would give it 10 stars if I could. Today I wanted to get a natural color on my nails. I didn't know what color to pick I showed Mai a picture. She picked out the color and oh my god I am IN LOVE. I love my nails so much. Thank you Thank you Thank you <3

Horrible horrible service. They did a bad job. I WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. If I can give no stars that is what I would have put.

I honestly never write reviews no matter how bad the experience but If i could give this place 0 and less stars i would! I went for the first time today with my friends and the pedicure we got was the worst! I literally just asked for a color change i really don’t think its that hard, half of my nail doesn’t have color on it and my toe is literally smudged even tho its shellac and thats after i asked her to fix it. My friend asked for a french on her toes, they first didn’t do the colors she chose, and she walked out as if its a week old pedicure. We asked to speak to the manager and she was so rude, overall this is literally the worst experience we’ve ever had!

Very horrible customer service. I had called in prior and asked if I could just schedule an appointment for removal and regular polish to which they gladly accepted. However, once I showed up the lady gave me a lot of attitude and said that they don't do this service. I was shocked because I had called in specifically for this. She made me pay before finishing my nails to which I accepted. I even tipped her before seeing the final results.
But when came time to put the polish she was very irritated that I didn't like the colour and would not change it (mind you she had only painted half my right hand). I expressed to her multiple times that I didn't like the colour and the way she was acting with me. But she kept insisting that I can't change the colour and that she doesn't even do this service in the first place. If I wanted to change the colour I had to pay more. Which would have been okay, if I hadn't payed her in advance with tip. I have been to many nails salon but have never been treated with such disrespect. Never going back!

Will never go back! Kept me waiting for 30 minutes, without any apologies. Did not provide proper separation between customers. Very rude and unprofessional!

Équipe très sympa et les ongles ont été posé vite et bien. Je me ronge les ongles et maintenant mes mains sont superbes. Merci beaucoup

I showed them a picture of the color I wanted, the girl put me the wrong color and when I tried to stop her she said that I shouldn't worry and that the color will lighten once she's done. It was definitely not what I asked for and when I complained she said that the only thing she can do at this point is to apply a plain Shellac color on top of what she did to cover it! She didn't even offer to redo it or to have me pay half price! Like what kind of service or honesty is that!? !? !? And now I'm stuck with a design/color that I dislike for at least 2-3 weeks!

On Monday I made an appointment for Tuesday at 4: 45 to get my nail extensions taken off. I walk in on Tuesday and say I have an appointment and she tells me that I don't. I told her I made it yesterday and she told me they can't take me because they're too busy. I insisted I made an appointment, so she sighed and told me to sit down. She then made a phone call to another employee complaining about me, right in front of me. They left me alone for 40 minutes soaking my nails, and then when they finally got to me to take them off, the girl seemed visibly annoyed that I was even there. She kept making fun of my nails saying that they were too thick, and kept acting like I was such a burden. ALSO, she cracked my real nail in half and acted like nothing happened.
I walked out of the salon crying, I've never been made to feel that way before at a salon. I will never go back here.

I’ve been going to this nail salon for almost 2 years now and i’ve never had a bad experience. I always get dipping done on my nails and they last for weeks and i always get compliments on them!

I came in today with my little brother and the service was not only excellent, it was professional. I was worried about possible judgment towards my brother, but none of that happened. Will definitely be back!

Concept nails is one of the best nail salon in the west island. They charge affordable prices and they are all very friendly. I never had service this good anywhere else!

Lady who did my nails didn't speak english and barely spoke french, hard to talk to her. She cut me twice on my manicure and once on my pedicure. Quality of work very poor, I got a dip for my manicure and a week later is starting to chip, there are black particles in my nail colour also. Pedicure was shellac and it chipped after a couple of days. Would not recommend and will never go back again

Had my nails done here (both pedi and Mani dip nails) and loved the service. Great selection of dip nail colours to choose from.

Terrible. I called beforehand asking how much the nail dipping is and the woman on the phone told me $ 20.00 which I found to be oddly inexpensive. At the end of the phone call I wanted to confirm the price as I was skeptical so I confirmed it by saying " ok it's twenty dollars as in TWO-ZERO" just to make sure. The lady said "yes yes". She also said that it would take 20-25 minutes because I had mentioned I wouldn't have much time that day.
The day of the appointment I told the nail tech that I filed my nails prior and shaped them how I wanted so she didn't need to do anything but apply the color. She completely dismissed me and insisted on filing them or the dipping wouldn't stick? Which is bs. She also changed the shape of my nails after me constantly repeating to her that I wanted to keep them as is.
At this point I just wanted to leave and 20 mins passed already so I let her do everything I asked her not to do.
Time comes to pay and the woman with the debit machine says it's $40.00!
Now, I don't care about the price but when someone calls and confirms the price of one of your services multiple times and even spells the words out and you say yes yes just to get a client? That's the best way to lose one.
I explained to the lady that it's not right and asked her who I spoke to on the phone and instead of empathizing and trying to understand that the fault was on them she literally just ignored everything I was saying and said well it's $40.00 I don't know who you spoke to. It's $40.00.
I couldn't believe how they still operate with such a rotten customer service and as a result I did not tip! Also, my nails look thick and chunky. Worst experience and manicure of my life.

REPLY TO COMMENT:

1. Actually, what causes fungus is "professional" salons like yours that use tools that weren't disinfected prior to me getting them done.

2. Filing the SHAPE of my nails after I've already done it has absolutely nothing to do with a product sticking to my nails so how would you justify the above?

3. If either one of you guys would understand anything besides being ignorant you would've understood when I told your nail tech that I do gel shellac nails on myself and it was my first time doing the nail dipping specifically, not getting my nails done. I know multiple people that get their nails done with the dipping on a regular basis and none of them have had an experience like mine. (I'll go to the salon they go to next time)

4. As you can see on these reviews, it's not the first time someone complains about your salon.

5. THANK GOD I saw your price board at the end of my manicure when it was too late. I was never confused about the price, I was misinformed by one of your unknowledgeable staff members of it!

One of the best pedicures and very good price as well. I will be coming back for sure! Staff is friendly and got me in very quickly which is always a plus.

Just had my nails done at this salon for the first time and I know I will be back again. This place is run exactly as it should be for all the nail salons; excellent work done (my nails were done expertly), friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, and just an all around place to be. Highly recommended.

WORST PLACE EVER! I got a manicure done and it started chipping the same day. Came back they proceeded to tell me that it was normal for there manicure to chip after 10 mins of getting it done. I told them I had to work for my money and didn't have 20$ to throw they didn't want to fix it nor pay me back. They did the manicure horribly and there nail polish is super cheap. Worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favour and go to any other nail salon in the West Island!
