La moitié des produits de ma liste étaient épuisés à la succursale Monkland. Pourtant, c'est disponible en ligne et certains toujours en promotion. Déception et perte de temps!
Altough its outrageously expensive, I like the convenience of the hors d’œuvres platters when I host friends and the ice cream is good. Apart from that, I did not like any of the ready meals I tried which were oily and not great taste.
Une grande variété de produits prêts, des bonnes pizzas, mais aussi les viennoiseries et les pâtisseries. Ils ont aussi de la pâte feuilletée et brisée ronde et pas carrée comme la plupart! Les prix restent raisonnables.
Regular go-to for quality frozen food; French quality, a serious notch above regular N. American frozen goods. Turnover of new stock, but with staples available. Helpful and polite staff.
I walked in the Monkland location when they opened and have not stopped since. The staff is kind and friendly, ensuring that I leave a happy customer, and nowadays, safe and protected. They know me as the salmon pizza lady, my daughter's favorite. Want to be the perfect hostess? I had absolutely no shame passing the Thanksgiving turkey as MY work of art! Macarons de Paris, confit beef or pork cheek, green beans, salmon bacon, edamame, brioche, croissants: there is something for everyone. To me, their selection = last minute/busy days life savers! You are bound to find a delicious dish, making things much easier in confinement and beyond. And why not: contributes to more time with loved ones, no matter how much you enjoy the company of your pots and pans.
Je rentre et je me fais agresser par la gérante qui ne mérites pas son travail si c’est pour être irrespectueuse envers ces clients! Je n’ai rien acheté, suis parti et ne compte pas revenir!
When Cool and Simple started a few years ago, they had quiet some choice of mainly european products, Nowadays the choice is much more less than what it used to be. As a french native I was very happy to finally having a "Picard" (French stores) look alike. But it is a pale copy of its french couter part today. This is sad. It is ok to help you if you need a last minute meal with no preparation, but thats about it. Its a frozen food "dépanneur" nowadays, not much more.
Frozen dishes. Bought a "Chapon" for new year's Eve and didn't think it'll be that good but it was. For gourmet and fine palates. Mostly french type. Have Vege section too. Totally worth the visit.
Great products and excellent quality but you pay for it. A lot. In terms of service, I had various experiences but overall this is a good place where we come back frequently.
The concept is great and the quality of the food is pretty good. But everything is insanely overpriced. If the point of frozen meals is to have the convenience of ready-made meals without paying restaurant prices, well-you're probably going to end up spending about the same amount either way. Their mochi bar, for example, is such a fabulous idea, but at $2 per mochi (the size of a two-bite brownie), it's a splurge I'll only allow myself once a year. It makes no sense for a grocery store to be selling items at the same prices you'd see on a restaurant menu.
