I went in with my torn old pair of hiking boots whose life I was hoping to extend. Both shoes required big patches, and the shop owner had them done within 5 hours of me dropping them off, at a very reasonable price. The work seems solid and I'm excited to get at least a few more years out of my boots. Very kind and helpful service.

I first began using this master shoemaker over 25 years ago. I went back to him recently to have him restore three pairs of Birkenstocks with new soles and insets. I would not trust my shoes to anyone else. This lovely man is a true master. I have three pairs of Birkenstocks which are like new for less than half the price of new shoes. The price was very fair and the service excellent. If you want your shoes repaired by someone you can trust, I cannot recommend this beautiful shoemaker enough.

J'ai commencé à faire appel à ce maître cordonnier il y a plus de 25 ans. Je suis retourné chez lui récemment pour qu'il restaure trois paires de Birkenstocks en y installant de nouvelles semelles et de nouvelles semelles intérieures. Je ne confierais mes chaussures à personne d'autre. Cet homme charmant est un véritable maître. J'ai trois paires de Birkenstocks qui sont comme neuves pour moins de la moitié du prix de chaussures neuves. Le prix était très juste et le service excellent. Si vous voulez que vos chaussures soient réparées par quelqu'un en qui vous pouvez avoir confiance, je ne saurais trop vous recommander ce magnifique cordonnier.

Excellent work was done to resole three pairs of leather shoes. One pair was 8 years old, and the leather was repainted to look almost new!

I recently visited Montreal with my husband to work remotely for several months. I had some boots which needed new heels, and laces. He did a wonderful job and got them done in several hours.
He charged me reasonably, and my boots are brand-new.
What was great about his work, is that he is organized, honest, and integral. He showed me before an after of cleats from soccer players, and other shoes. His character is hard to find.
I'd mail my shoes here in the future, if need be.
Just like you need a good mechanic, you need someone who thinks about how your shoes impact your everyday.

The business is located on the bottom floor of the mall, so if you don't see it go all the way to the end. The neon sign will resemble the photos.

J'ai appelé au téléphone pour demander si ils offraient le service avant que je ne me déplace. J'ai eu une personne incorrecte et hyper agressive. Il commence par demander sèchement: "qu'est-ce que tu veux? , Je travaille". Avant même que tu ne prononces une phrase, le ton de la conversation était donné.
Je n'irai pas à cette coordonnerie et je ne la recommande pas.

Service impeccable, cordonnier très attentionné, j'ai récupéré mes chaussures réparées et soigneusement nettoyées, très bon service!

So glad my winter hiking boots got fixed. Webbing eyelet broke and i couldn’t have worn them without it. The new eyelet is even stronger than the original. So rare to find such service these days when we’re used to throwing out most things too early. He also fixed my partner’s very old leather bag - the strap was broken.

This is a great service and excellent quality of the repairs. I wholeheartedly recommend it. The man running this business is really humble, friendly and honest. I like that he takes the time to think about the best way to repair something and he’ll tell you if something can’t be fixed.

The man that runs this business is delightful and very funny. He re-soled my favourite pair of boots for me within a day. They look good as new (maybe even a little better than new?) and all for a very reasonable price (cost me ~$35; I know the price depends on exactly what you need done so might be different for other boots!). 10/10 will come here again.

Perfect! I sent two pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes to add sole protectors. The charge is reasonable and the owner did it very fast, I picked them up the next day. The owner is nice and responsible, the soles look perfect! I will definetely go there in the future if needed.

This is the best cobbler I've been to in Montreal. He has repaired several pairs of shoes for me and my partner, including men's leather dress shoes, winter boots, and high heels. The quality of the work is consistently excellent, the prices are really reasonable, and the work is usually done within a day. A real gem in the city.

Great, quick (usually within a day) service at a reasonable price. Owner has been successfully repairing my running shoes (e.g. Fix hole inside heel), hockey gloves, and boots (e.g. Salt protection) many times.

I've gone here a few times- twice to get shoes fixes and another to pick up some leather care products, and I've had a great experience each time.:)

Had a pair of cowboy boots with two broken/worn-down heels, and they fixed them right up.:) Now they feel sturdy and look so nice! Also had a pair of boots stretched here. Was also good.

Best shoe repair I've found in the city. I had a pair of Birkenstocks repaired and resoled and they were ready within days. The customer service and craftsmanship were both excellently. I find it so satisfying to be able to have quality shoes repaired rather than replace them, and cordonneries as good as this one are becoming harder and harder to find. This one is tucked away in the basement of LaCité - you might not realise it's there. Hidden gem!

Owner was extremely polite and welcoming. The leather on my boots were torn greatly and i thought my boots were ready to go to the garbage. Luckily, this shop was able to repair them. During the process, the owner noticed there were additional rips. When it was time for invoicing, he stayed true to his initial quote and charged nothing extra for the added work he did, which was already a very cheap/fair price. This was a 10/10 job and i highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to fix their shoes or boots. Thank you for your work and ill be sure to come back when i need more work done!

He has repaired several pairs of my shoes over the years, always very quickly and at a reasonable price. Most recently he repaired a broken pull-on tab and replaced worn down soles/heels on a pair of ankle boots, and they look better now than when they were brand new! He also cuts keys (very convenient) and is just a wonderfully nice person.

Just came in for a key duplication. Cheap, fast, and friendly. Would come back again even if the key needs a bit of jimmy for my apartment lock (haven’t tried yet).

We must support this shoe repair shop. It's worth your time to get there. Excellent work on my Birks. They are basically new.

Love this place! Thought it disappeared but it just moved around the corner. Hard to beat the many years of experience this shop has whether its fixing/cleaning footware, copying keys, or supplying up-to-date odds and ends. They had european spiked traction aids long before i saw them at big box stores

Lovely work. Had a pair of my very well worn platform leather boots fixed. I thought they’re beyond saving, but the shop owner managed to not only bring them back to life but also add leather reinforcement. Quick, fairly priced, and very professional. Highly recommend.
He also made spare copies of my keys a while back and they work better than the original. Magic hands

Hello all! So I've going to this shoe repair shop for 26 yrs; from back when I started my first job in the mall where he's located. Here's what you get when you go there:

1. Friendly and adaptable service offered with integrity.
2. Excellent quality of work - I am picky with pretty much everything.
3. High quality leather goods from shoes, to bags, wallets, sandals (Burkenstocks mainly but he has others as well) and more - I should know because my father used to make leather coats for 50 yrs, so I know leather.
4. Different kinds of little pieces of home decor that are original.
5. And.he makes copies of keys in 30 sec! At a very, very reasonable price.

I strongly recommend this family business that has served and continues to serve many generations. I mean seriously, if I've been going there for 26 yrs and have stopped working in that mall several years ago.well, that should tell you something.

And I don't write reviews. This is my first.

I just got my VERY well loved and in tatters pair of Birkenstocks resoled at Cordonnerie La Cité after being referred there by a friend. They are back to brand new after a what turned out to be a more difficult repair than usual! So happy to have a friendly neighbourhood cobbler who still does repairs like these. The zipper buckle on my Doc Marten’s boot broke off and I brought it to Cordonnerie La Cité. For a very reasonable price, it was fixed in less than 24 hours and is as good as new! It wasn’t my first visit and the service is consistently efficient and friendly.

Joe is such an amazing professional and human being. I had 2 pairs of shoes that were on their way to the trash, and now they look like new. He did such an incredible job fixing the inner heel, they look better than new! He uses high quality materials, and works very fast. Prices are very cheap too. I am so pleased with his work. Friendly and fast service! Super accommodating to the issue and pick up schedules too. I've had grip added to the bottom of many pairs of my boots, as well as one pair of tall boots expanded in the leg - the craftsmanship is great and they've held up with no problem for years. Highly recommend.

I brought in a pair off Frye leather boots that had been destroyed by a few Montreal winters and poor maintenance. What other shops had told me was impossible, he was able to completely rejuvenate my boots, replaced the heel cap, and they look good as new! I am so impressed and happy with the service and the price, highly recommend!
