Awesome venue! Staff working there were so kind Saw Grandson, Monowhales and No love for the middle child a couple days ago there are it was a concert I’m going to remember forever
Was there for the Hayley Kiyoko concert. My first time at the Corona Theatre somehow, and it was great! A bit of a small space, but used really well. The seats up top have a fantastic view of the stage, and there's loads of standing room on the floor. Can't wait to see my next show there.
Awful sound system! They ruined the whole concert of the marvelous GoGo Penguin group. The piano, which is a precise masterpiece of this group's sound, became a total mess. Unbelievable, but it sounded out of tune and without any resolution - it was torture! Dear musicians, never ever select this place for your performance. We stayed for several titles with hope something would be fixed, but left disappointed in the end.
Saw Palace here. The artist is super talented, I was mesmerized. I just wish they did a better soundcheck because it was very difficult to hear the vocals clearly, the mic echoed too much making it impossible to hear the lyrics as the words jumbled together. Same issue for the opening acts, and since I didn’t know their songs, I couldn’t figure out what they were saying at all
The theatre itself is beautifully preserved and perfect for more intimate shows. At just a few minutes' walk from Lionel Groulx station, it's also very well located.
The concession stand isn't ridiculously priced, but not cheap either.
The only downside is the cramped seats on the mezzanine: do not sit up there unless you're under 5 feet tall or have really short legs. I felt like I was on a budget plane and had to wedge my toes under the seat in front of me to not completely cut off the cirulation in my legs.
Oh, and the theatre doesn't seem to be accessible, unless there's an elevator I don't know about.
Very great sound and comfortable. Just one problem, we were in row J which is directly behind row I and unfortunately on the same level as row I. Row J should be elevated slightly, maybe 6" higher so the vision is clearer not having to dodge the heads in front. We decided to move to row K, directly behind J to some unfilled chairs. What a difference! Besides that, everything was great. Thank you.
Went here yesterday (GoGo Penguin band). This please have one of the worst sounds from what I heard! The sound was so distorted, so it seemed like piano is out of tune! I left in the middle of the show. Never gone but another ticket to this place.
Place is nice and has old Theatre feeling. Shirt but quality list of drinks at the bar, including one choice for real champaign at real reasonable price for a bar.
Wonderful venue! We saw David Cross and the intimate setting is perfect for comedy. Can't capture the show but here are a couple of pics I took from the floor and balcony to show the layout.
