Cristal No.41 - Pho - Vietnamese - Tea

Je vais dans ce resto depuis plus de 25 ans et j'ai connu tous les proprios. Avec les années, et surtout la pandémie, ils ont fait des ajustements dans les plats et c'est rendu tellement fade (la sauce poisson qui goûte de plus en plus l'eau, on enlève les carottes, la coriandre, etc). Je suis déchiré. De 5, il a passé à 4,3 et maintenant 2, uniquement pcq je connais le proprio. Désolé

The exterior does not reflect the amazing experience. Food was delicious, portions were big and ambiance was great. The employees are so sweet and treated us with so much kindness. Don’t hesitate to go in.

This place may look odd from the outside but it’s sooooo good! The workers are so cute and polite this experience was wonderful.the tea was also mesmerizing

On adore les soupes et des wontons, le prix est aussi formidable.

I go there every single time I'm in china town, the service is amazing, the owner remembered us after the first time we had gone and rememberes our orders to this day, the food is incredible and the place feels inviting and homey, 100% recommend!

Friendly owner. Bun bo hue was amazing. You can realy taste the broth and not just spicy soup like many places. Had two bowls myself that night. Also some friends some vietnam were there with us and said the soup was the genuine article. Solid spring rolls as well. Wasn't hyper greasy or over fried. If I lived in Montreal, I'd be living at this restaurant.

Pire Pad Thaï jamais mangé, pas de légume, pas de poulet, 5 crevettes trop cuite. Fait avec de la sauce en pot au Chili (je l’ai vu en allant au toilette. 20$ avec un rouleau impérial…. La déception….

I don't understand what happened to this restaurant but it used to be my favorite spot in Chinatown. I loved their famous spring rolls, which I didn't find on the menu this time. I haven't been since COVID so I'm not sure if they changed owners? It was empty on a Saturday night which should have been a good clue. The Jasmin tea had no flavor or smell so I reckoned they had been using the same tea bags since lunch time. The pad Thai looked and tasted like instant noodles with a weird orange sauce, almost no veggies an one piece of onion. The shrimp were overcooked, perhaps in the microwave. Portion was small to boot. Absolutely not worth the 14$ plus tip and taxes. Will not be going there again.

Restaurant familiale! Excellent service bien attentionné! Les rouleaux frits du jamais vu, très croustillant! Le combo soupe wonton et assiette de vermicelles aux bœufs et crevettes à 16.95$ ça vaut la peine!

I’ve been going there for the past 5 years and it’s one of my favourite restaurants! I highly recommend the number 41, it’s too good and really filling:) also the owner is really sweet

J'adore aller à cet endroit et ce depuis près de 20 ans.
Tjr super bon et authentique.
Les gens qui nous accueillent sont tjr gentils!
J'ai eu la chance de discuter à quelques reprises avec le monsieur Cambodgien, qui est relativement âgé. Très intéressant à écouter! J'aimerais en entendre davantage car, il a clairement beaucoup de vécu!

J'y vais depuis plus de 4 ans, un des meilleurs! J’ai toujours pris la soupe Pho qui j'adore plus que à cet endroit!
