Was with gems and they moved with Altima so i cancelled my account and paid what was due. Spoke with agent that told me that my balance is at 0 and i have that call recorded.

Than gems started harassing me 2 months later. I asked them to send me the bill and they said that it can only be accessed through the online account witch i don't have access too since i cancelled.

Now they sent my account to another collecting agency that harass me all the time.

Sales person was rude on the phone and implied I was an idiot for wanting clarification on their website information that seemed contradictory. Service was not as good as other rogers resellers. Have to cancel with two people, these guys and Altima. Never heard of having to cancel one service with two places. Altima people were supposed to send email confirmation of cancellation after
My phone call and two days later still nothing. Don’t even know if it’s cancelled. Waited an hour to talk to someone and they tried to convince me that my new service will not be good and that I should stay with them. When asking gemstelecom how to return their equipment they gave me an invalid postal code in two emails. No instructions on what hardware to include or what to write on box so they know who is sending the equipment back. Just the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever experienced

J'ai toujours eu un bon service et j'ai toujours été une bonne cliente qui payait à temps mes factures. Après un peu plus de 2 1/2 avec eux, j'ai appelée pour avoir un meilleur prix vu les changements de prix à la baisses offerts pour les nouveaux clients. Ils ont accepté et mon refait un Contract. Cela n'a pas du faire leur affaire, car quelques temps après ils ont comme ça tout bonnement transféré mon dossier à Altima télécom. Oui oui
Comme ça sans mon accord. Ils partagent mes données confidentielles avec l'autre compagnie. Sérieusement très déçu

FUYEZ CETTE COMPAGNIE D'ARNAQUEURS! Ils se permettent de vendre mes infos et me transfère à une CIE auquelle je n'ai jamais consenti. Résultat: Zéro internet chez moi. Bris de services! Et on m'a facturé pour! Leur service clientèle est médiocre, quand on leur demande des explications ils vous raccrochent au nez sans gêne! Je songe à faire une plainte à l'office de la protection du consommateur! INADMISSIBLE

Ne faites pas affaire avec cette compagnie, ce sont de vrais voleurs avec le pire service à la clientèle! J’avais téléphoné pour demander à ce qu’on mette sur pause mon internet pendant l’été, il n’y avait plus aucun service internet, mais la compagnie continuait de me facturer la facture complète chaque mois. J’ai dû téléphoner 4 fois et à chaque fois, je me fais dire qu’on laisse une note pour que j’aie le remboursement, finalement je n’ai jamais reçu de remboursement et jamais eu de retour d’appel d’un supérieur comme j’avais demandé. J’ai donc mis fin à mon service avec cette cie et ils demandent de retourner le routeur et le modem en 15 jours sinon il y a des frais, pas de problème j’allais le faire. Par contre, après seulement 5 jours, on m’envoie une facture de 185$ pour non retour des appareils, et bien sûr jamais de remboursement pour les mois de service non reçus et facturés en totalité! L’incompétence au summum!

Absolutely atrocious customer service, the worst I have ever dealt with. Getting an issue with billing or something of the sort will take multiple calls and waste much of your precious time AND STILL NEVER GET RESOLVED. Keep shopping for an internet provider, just not Altima, or Telus, as they are all the same company; there are better deals out there.

Ils ont trouver le moyen de tranférer à au moins aussi pire qu'eux. Tout un accomplissement. La facture de l'autre fournisseur était en pré-paiement pour Septembre. Mais, du 18 aout jusqu'au 23 aout minimum, aucun services. C'est que si ca coupe une vendredi soir, il faut attendre minimum au lundi 9am pour savoir ce qu'il se passe. L'autre gang est pareille ou pire ne répondent pas du tous. Je peux pas dire worst ever, mais top 2, problablement deuxième. Aussi, dès le départ je m'étais abonné d'avance en avril au service 1Gbs qui n'étais finalment pas offert dans la région. J'avais eu le temps d'acheter une nouvelle carte réseau pour le wifi 6 entre temps. Ca reviens chere pas mal pour moins que deux mois de service complet.

Worst company we have ever dealt with in over 50 yrs. System did not work with equipment we were supplied with. Next door neighbors worked good. Everyone you talk to is extremely hard to understand. We went from it's a Roger's problem to your modem isn't working. Finally 3 days later we asked tech what to do.he said cancel service.so we did. Cost us 25.00 to send equipment back and they refused to give us our money back saying because we canceled there was a cancelation fee. We Had No Choice. They are the worst people to deal with. I definitely would not recommend them to my worse enemy. We went with another supplier.no problem at all with modem or Roger's lines. Also 3 people told us that a tech would come and install it as my husband had a knee replacement the day before, and we are 70 yrs old. We heard nothing but big lies. Don't use them!

The internet service is reliable and fast but the price is the best part. The only criticism I have and I hope they improve is their customer support, it's a newer provider so I'm sure they'll get better. Thanks again for the great internet!

Pas recommandé pour ceux qui font du télétravail puisque le support technique ne débute qu'à 9: 00. Attention lors de l'annulation, ils vous font payer pour le retour du modem par la poste. Assez cheap de leur part.

They didn't listen to my needs when I called to add tv service to our existing internet. Programming was wrong, and they think that their lousy list of "on demand" shows is the same as a dvr service, which is advertised on their web site.
Buy an android box one time and stream for free, this service in inadequate.

I am a Gemstelecom user and have been with them from longtime. I am very satisfied with my internet plan, quality internet service and quick customer service. Customer service associates has very stong knowledge and provides quick resolution. I highly recommend Gemstelecom!

Update:
Took 2 stars off as they have again messed up. No device shipping on time which is going to impact my work.

Update:
Increasing it back to 3 stars as they have processed my refund and I have received the refund. Important to mention here, it took them 4 months to issue the refund.

Update:
Taking 2 stars off my original review as they haven't yet refunded my money after I cancelled the account before 4 months. I cancelled the account effective from 10th May'21 and they said my balance will be refunded after verification which generally takes around 2 weeks. I called them multiple time in last 4 months, but it seems their verification process takes too long. They are yet to verify and send the refund.

Speed is an issue. For 30 mbps plan, I used to get 20 mbps speed.

2019 and never had a issue.
While moving, I had some problems with my net but the agent Hassan who assist me on phone was very professional and patient the entire time. He offer solution that worked and my net was restored the next day! I totally recommend this company and a big thank you to Hassan for assisting the whole time.
