Cruise Canada RV Rental & Sales

We just got back from renting an RV for a week, Generally fine but beware of their vicious drip selling! They literally bombard you with extras/necessities to pay for. I still find the fact that you pay extra for bedding and kitchen equipment (which of course you need) unbelievable.
The RV itself was fine, a bit tired but did the job. Everything, and I mean everything rattled when driving which made talking difficult, driving it was exhausting as the tracking was out - so it was a constant wrestle.
The fuel economy is dreadful so do budget for this! We did about 2000kMs and it cost us about 900 dollars in fuel!

One positive: The chap in the blue overalls who handed the RV over was excellent.

Loved the RV life, but next time I would use someone else. I presume this firm is not focussing on repeat custom.

Service is very good. But not the vehicle. Saggy spring mattress, smell of sweat, steering wheel play, massive consumption. Not comfortable, was happy to give it back.

Drop off was a bit tough as it appeared only one person was working and maybe the other two were in training. VERY busy on a Monday so might want to pick a different day to pick-up and drop off.

On a appelé pour réserver un VR de Calgary à Vancouver. L’employé nous l’a mis de côté le temps qu’on réserve nos billets d’avion 2500$). On a rappelé 10 minutes après avoir réservé nos billets. L’employée a pris nos informations de paiement et autres, nous a confirmé verbalement que notre réservation était complète. Nous disant qu’on recevrait une confirmation par courriel. Elle a plutôt rappelé 10 minutes plus tard pour dire que finalement elle s’était trompée et que le VR n’était pas disponible! On a pas été en mesure de nous faire rembourser nos billets d’avion. Nos vacances sont aux poubelles. Nous sommes vraiment très déçu

Disastrous Rental Experience at Cruise Canada's Montreal Branch:

Compared to my previous rentals with Cruise Canada, my most recent experience at their Montreal branch was nothing short of disastrous. Despite the staff's assurance that they thoroughly inspect the vehicles before handing them over to customers, my rental was lacking essential amenities and the manager's response was extremely disappointing.

First and foremost, when I picked up the RV, I was shocked to find that it did not include the hose required for dumping black and grey water. This is an absolutely essential item for any RV rental, and its absence severely hindered my ability to properly maintain the vehicle's sanitation during my trip. It's baffling how the staff could overlook such a crucial component, especially when they assured me that everything was checked and in order.

To make matters worse, there was also no washer fluid in the car. This may seem like a minor inconvenience, but it became a significant problem during my journey, as I encountered dirty roads and unfavorable weather conditions. Visibility was compromised, and I had to endure the hassle of constantly searching for a gas station to refill the fluid.

What truly shocked me, however, was the manager's response when I brought these issues to their attention upon returning the RV. Not only did they display a complete lack of concern, but they also showed a disrespectful attitude throughout our interaction. Not once did they offer an apology or show any willingness to rectify the situation. It was clear that customer satisfaction was of little importance to them, and this left me feeling utterly disregarded and disrespected as a paying customer.

I expected a certain level of professionalism and accountability from the management. Regrettably, my experience fell far short of these expectations. The lack of essential equipment, coupled with the manager's dismissive and disrespectful attitude, made for an incredibly frustrating rental experience.

I sincerely hope that my feedback serves as a wakeup call for the company to improve its practices, address customer concerns, and provide the quality of service they claim to offer.

I give 2 star because the service offered was okay but the RV was simply awful. Granted, the interior was kind of cozy and clean enough, I guess.but the sound it made from barely there bumps or tiny imperfections on the road was just horrible. We couldn't hear each other talk and it was extremely uncomfortable and deafening. My husband was driving and he did say that it was also exhausting having to constantly keep the steering wheel from shaking too much. I will not be renting from here again.

This was our first time renting a RV and the process couldn’t have been easier! The Montreal location was great, they had everything ready for us to hop in and go, we did a walk around the vehicle, singed a few papers and were on our way. The vehicle was in great condition and everything worked like it should have. Overall it was a great first time experience and would definitely recommend!

Cruise Canada (Montreal) provided perfect services, either at time of RV pick up or return, as well as during the period of our trip, their on-call service responses swiftly, and followed up! Great jobs! One minor issue with the RV is that only two outlets work while electricity connected, and the black tank sensor may need to update.

It was an amazing experience. Cruise Canada was always there to assist us during the trip when we need help. I would recommend Cruise Canada to anyone that would like to rent an RV.

L employé parfait très gentil et attentif mais gérant loin d être courtois il nous laisse cuire au soleil à l extérieur pour laisser un client à la fois à l intérieur dans une salle de 70’x70’. Le véhicule vous est laissé avec une tank à gas au quart et vous devez la ramener au quart pas vraiment brillant. Vous pouvez entendre le gérant faire des commentaires à ses employés pas très professionnel et sûrement sans bonne raison. En gros je recommande la place mais le gérant pourrait corriger sont attitude.

Rented a standard RV for 19 nights for an amazing 3000km family trip around Gaspésie and New Brunswick, 2 adults and 2 kids. The RV had 40K on the clock and was in perfect working order. We had no issues. Pick up and drop off was easy and deposit returned promptly. I like that you are charged for the exact KM driven, rather than paying upfront for some that you might not use, as per some competitors. I would rent again from here.

We have rented a large Motorhome for the period of 8 - 22 August 2020 for 14 nights from Cruise Canada/Montreal. Unfortunately, the whole family were not happy during our trip with the vehicle.

After we have received the vehicle, we noticed that the vehicle is pulling right very strong and there was an intolerable gab at the steering wheel, which made the drive very uncomfortable and unsafe. One had to push the opposite direction all the time. As soon as we noticed the issue, we went back to the renting location and conveyed the situation. However, they told us that is normal for such vehicles. They were even worse vehicles!

Thus, they left us with no option to continue our trip with this condition. After having driven 3700 KM, my suppose and I had to suffer immense arm pain during and after the trip.

Moreover, the vehicle exterior was so dirty, that we had to wash the vehicle. When we asked the employer, why it was so dirty, he said during the high season they were not able to wash all the vehicles.

In addition, there were an intensive odor coming from the washroom. We tried our best to eliminate the odor by using appropriate disinfection tablets. However, we had to suffer 10 days from the bad smell. At the end of the trip there were no more odor at all, which shows there were a lack of proper maintenance.

We have send a complaining letter to the company, which ultimately did not find echo.

In lights of the above-stipulated issues, we were not at all happy with the service of the company

Moreover, the fact that our complaint were totality ignored by the company, left us even more annoyed and disappointed.

We definitively do not recommend this company.

Rented a 30ft RV with cruise Canada Montreal location. The staff was very helpful. They made us aware of all the extra charges such as propane, generator etc which is pay per use. There were no hidden charges like many other rental companies. The RV included minimum insurance but we opted for the $0 deductible insurance. It came in handy as we had a small accident while backing up Into a tree stump. We called the 1800 number and sent them the pictures. It was a seamless experience. At rental location they didn’t ask too many questions as everything was already in the system.

I would definitely recommend cruise Canada to family and friends.

We absolutely loved our experience with the staff at Cruise Canada, they were all very friendly and very helpful. The van was great, from inside and out. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time, it drove beautifully and we returned it in perfect condition. Having a generator onboard (7 sleeper) was VERY handy, it meant we were able to stop anywhere and use onboard power if there was no power outlet/s around. The only personal issue we had was with the bedroom's vinyl covered mattress. It seemed great when testing it by pressing down on it with a hand, but when laying down on it for hours and hours, it was very very firm and rather uncomfortable for a good long night's sleep, we felt it couldn't mold itself around us. The thick vinyl surrounding the mattress is obviously for easy cleaning, if necessary, but it sacrificed the comfort and enjoyment of falling to sleep and waking up fresh. We'll definitely hire another one, but we will come more prepared with a mattress topper next time. (* We did notice that the Black Water tank, when fully emptied, still read 2/3 full every time, otherwise everything was in perfect running order).

It was the best experience ever with a family 5. Perfect getaway vehicle. We still talk about it all the time!

The RV was in great condition! We traveled almost 3700 kms on our trip, camping each night at a different spot on the east coast. Everything worked great, there was more than enough storage for all of our stuff (two adults and a big dog) and it was comfortable! The depot we rented out of (sainte rose) was also amazing to deal with, answered all of our questions and very friendly. We will be renting from Cruise Canada again!

Bon accueil mais le Camping car semblait âgé et n'était pas propre. Particulièrement les tissus qui sentaient la moisissure, ça a un peu gâché notre séjour. Nos amis qui louaient le même véhicule ont quant à eux eu 2 problèmes techniques (le réfrigérateur tombé en panne bout d'une semaine et fuite d'eau au plafond).
Au final, je ne recommande pas cette agence.

Bon tout ses bien passé mais avec la tete de leurs camping car on passe pour de bon gros touriste et on sert daffiche publicitaire!

Excellent service. We rented their 25 foot RV for 21 days to use on a cycling trip out the Gaspe Peninsula. The RV was easy to drive and to set up, and worked like a charm.
The folks at Cruise Canada were also great to work with. We had originally planned to do our trip in 2018, but my wife became ill, and we had to reschedule. Cruise Canada made this easy to do. We did our trip in August/Sept of 2019.

We had a problem with a leaking sink and stopped at this station to ask for help. The stuff and the mechanic fixed it immediately and even filled up the propane gas for free due to the incident.

3 étoiles parce l'accueil était vraiment top. J'ai oublié de prendre des oreillers, j'en ai eût 2 gratuitement qui normalement fesaient partie du set à 60 dollars. Et m'ont donné 2 couteau supplémentaires. Vraiment très sympa! Par contre gros quak, la propreté du véhicule vraiment limite traces sur le volant et coulures au plafond. Poussière un peu partout, du merdier dans les tiroirs. Nettoyer ne consiste pas juste à donner un coup de serpillière au sol et sur la cuisinière. J'ai payé 2 chaises qui n'étaient pas là. J'ai appelé laisser un message. 48h plus tard j'attends tjr. Donc me retrouve avec une table de camping sans les chaises. C'est un peu agaçant. Dommage parce sans ces désagrément

Accueil sympa, rapide, personnel arrangeant.
Je regrette un peu l'age des véhicules. Notre camping car avait autour des 5 ans et déjà bien fatigué. L'entretien est minimum et pas mal de défauts nous ont un peu pourri le séjour. Au bout de 2 jours la pompe à eau du circuit de l'eau potable est tombée en panne. Nous avons donc été obligé de déposer le véhicule à Bolton, au nord de Toronto pour une réparation de fortune (inexpérience totale du personnel de Bolton qui a du faire appel au Directeur de l'agence pour détecter la cause de la panne et bricoler pour que ça tienne le temps de notre séjour).
Propreté limite mais nous n'avons pas rencontré de problème majeur (mécanique) durant nos 4500 km sur 4 semaines.
