Custom Hockey Sticks

This company is a mess. Took more than 4 months to receive my son’s stick. Way shorter than his ccm and Bauer sticks despite claim that it is 1” longer. He outgrew it before arrival. Was offered 10-% discount and laughed. Then was offered a 4 inch extender which sounded like a workable solution. 2 months later and that hasn’t arrived though they made a fake shipping label 2 weeks ago to quiet me.

Stick to a reputable company or buy cheaply directly from China (they got me a custom stick in 3 weeks which has been amazing).

Since I can’t respond to the response, let’s be clear this isn’t my trouble. I’ve ordered custom sticks and other custom items and manufacturers are usually accurate about lead times. They are also usually accurate on measurements. Read other reviews here and on Facebook. Buyer beware.

Broke a stick and needed to buy one so I both bought a custom stick and a store bought one at the same time. The custom stick was way better value, no searching through racks for the right flex, curve combo at a decent price. Just select what I wanted and had it delivered. A little hesitant to order at first but the product has now been delivered and I am really impressed. Definitely recommending using this service if you like a great stick at a reasonable price.

Received our 3 sticks as ordered and on the expected lead time. They have been great so far. My son likes his two and is using instead of the CCM model he has used for the past three years. The one I am using replaces a True mode that broke at the end of last season.

Have ordered multiple sticks for my son. The reason for multiple is that he has out grown them. He swears by these sticks and they are the only ones he uses. He had one broken by a slash last year and was upset his new one had not come. I highly recommend these sticks, great price and amazing service.

Evan and the staff at CHS are amazing to work with. I have ordered an individual stick in the past, but recently I ordered our complete set of team sticks from CHS and they turned out amazing! The quality is great, and you get a fully customized stick for a fraction of the cost of off the rack 'high-end' sticks.

I loved the stick my dad ordered from you guys last season. It was great having a stick with square toe. Its basically impossible to find them in the stores. Looking forward to putting in another order for this coming season.

My father in law has been WAITING 7 MONTHS! No customer service number to call, they do not reply to emails. Terrible terrible terrible!

UPDATE: Sent x2 email after Owners response, still haven't heard anything. Will update hopefully soon.

Worst place to order sticks much rather go buy 100$ twigs at sports experts, ordered the sticks in november they said “2 months” then after i emailed them after 2 months they reimbursed me money but they said 100% mid-march, we are currently mid-march and now they say they don’t know when i’ll receive them. Complete joke.

I have ordered these sticks before and the quality for the price is great, however the wait times (4.5 months and counting) have me questioning if they are truly worth it. Due to this extended wait, I've had to buy another stick while waiting for my CHS order. At this point I don't see myself using CHS again in the future.

My order timeline is as follows:
- Ordered October 25th
- Order confirmed November 3rd
- Radio silence for several months
- I follow up January 24th looking for an update; receive similar email to other reviewers a few days laters claiming lead times have increased to 3 months (this was a day after the 3 month mark of my order)
- Receive email on February 9th stating my order is in its final stages of production
- Receive email on March 5th stating sticks have been made and will go to a distribution centre in a few days

Not only am I frustrated by the delays, but the lack of clear communication with respect to timing feels like I have been strung along for what is hopefully concluded as a 5 month wait for sticks (after the busiest portion of the hockey season is over).

We ordered 2 different sticks. One gets used alot and is holding up as good as most others we have ever had. I would like to see more special offers for future purchases due to the build time of 12 weeks.

We have not received our custom hockey stick. We are coming up on a 4 month wait now. When I emailed for a refund I was told another 3-4 weeks for final production (this was already past the 7-10 week mark) The hockey stick is STILL NOT HERE. Horrible customer service; with long to NO REPONSE to emails as well. I won’t recommend this company.

I was just asked to rate how much I loved my CHS. The funny thing is I ordered at the beginning of October, it is now the end of January and I still have not recieved my order. I hope I get them before this season is done.

Purchase two sticks on October 8th and still haven't received them. Keep getting the same response from them that they are dealing with delays. Then January 3rd I get an email saying it's in final stage of production. Now they tell me it will be a few more weeks. By the time these sticks come the season will be over and the sticks will be too short for my kids. Horrible experience.just refund my money.

Update Feb 1st: two weeks later and still nothing. No one reached out. This company is a joke. They don't have a factory. They order from Alibaba when they have enough orders. They manufacture nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FAKE COMPANY. GO TO THE STORE AND BUY IN PERSON.

This is my 3rd order and never had an issue with the first and second orders.this is the timeline since my third order of these sticks:

1.10/10/2022 - Sticks ordered received (7-10 weeks to ship)
2.10/17/2022 - My sticks are in production e-mail from CHS
3.12/15/2022 - I email CHS about sticks for an update
4.12/18/2022- Received reply to my e-mail on 12/15 saying “orders usually average 7-10 weeks but are experiencing delays and aiming to complete your order in the next week”
5.01/03/2023 - Received e-mail from CHS the sticks were in final stage of
Production applying decals and finishing touches.
6.01/23/2023 - E-mailed CHS and advised I’m now at 14 weeks no sticks and no updates.
7.01/26/2023 - CHS replies to my e-mail stating “We have had increasing delays and lead time has changed from 7-10 weeks to 2-3 months.
Production of our hand-made sticks has lengthened over the last few months.
We always want to be honest with our clients and we are doing our best to get orders out as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and we will finalize your order in 2-3 weeks. ”
8.01/30/2023 - Received e-mail from CHS to put up a review of how I liked the sticks since I should have received them and had time to try them out. Well we’ve hit the 15 week mark of this debacle and I haven’t received the sticks so therefore my son has not had the chance to us them!

Sick’s arrived within expected delivery date. Quality of the sticks was fantastic and my son loved the blade profile that we couldn’t get at any local stores. Will be ordering more for next season.

Ordered on Nov 25 and still do not have the sticks, was just informed it will be another 3-4 weeks? Don't care how good the sticks are when they arrive, many other option to buy custom made sticks with much shorter wait times, Will go elsewhere for my next sticks.

Phenomenal hockey sticks. Bought two for the kids. Everyone raving about them. Just took forever to get delivered. If you want sticks by start of hockey season then order 2.5-3 mos in advance. Quality is worth the wait though

I received my Custom Hockey Sticks last week and played my first hockey game since receiving them. The sticks feel great, my shots "had snap" as a teammate commented, not to mention I had five points last night, a hat trick and two assists. The control I had was fantastic. Can't wait to get back out this weekend.

12 weeks wait total. Website says 7-10 weeks.
The stick IS great quality and performance. This is easily the same level as most sticks $200-300 price point for $130.
If they can get the wait times shortened and/or have more simple basic twigs in stock and ready to ship it would be 5 star.

Placed a second order as these sticks are extremely light, have just about any blade configuration you would want, are extremely durable and are very affordable!

The stick I ordered arrived promptly however, it did break after 5 hours on the ice, however I was not in the 30 day guarantee window so I was told nothing could be done. I used the stick a total of five one hour skates, once per week after I received the stick.

Stick looked good and was light, but not the quality of the big companies. It chipped on the heel after 2 practices and my son, who is 16, says it's feels like a toy. Just not a high level stick. It'll be an expensive wall hanger at this point. If you're lower level, or under 12 it's probably fine, after that don't waste your money.

I highly recommend Custom Hockey Sticks due to the fact that every customized spec that you wanted is well done. The Sticks are light and durable. The company does an incredible job with the customization!

I have had the opportunity to use a different brand custom Built stick for about 8 years or so. I ordered the CHS stick a few months ago and was very impressed with the web site and the ordering process.when I received the stick I was not disappointed at the quality and finish of the stick and a bonus it was shipped in its own stick bag, which I thought was a nice touch. As far as game use with the stick very impressed on how light and strong the stick is. I will be definitely using CHS sticks in the future.

Wasn’t sure what to expect as you don’t get to try the stick before you get them delivered. I have to say my sticks were all I expected and then some. I was using the TRUE brand which I loved but very pricey. This custom stick I had made I find every bit as good possibly better. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank You CHS

My son LOVES the sticks! He has commented many times as to how light they are and how much confidence he has gained by using them. His teammates and coaches were also very impressed with them! The stick bag they ship in is also an extra nice touch!

Beautiful stick made to my specifications. Great value as well; as long as you don't care about having a name brand label on your stick you will save half the cost.

These sticks are awesome! A fraction of the price of the "name brand" sticks and they are customized exactly how I wanted them. The only complaint I had is how long it took to get the sticks, but when I did get them I was 110% happy with them. Great product, highly recommend.

First off, these sticks are the real deal. I've been using them for almost a month now and I love everything about them. So, I've ordered two more.
Second, CHS customer service is excellent. Whenever I have emailed them, they have responded quickly and politely.
Third, the price for these totally custom sticks is truly 50% less than you would pay for just an off-the-rack name brand stick, but with CHS you pick out every detail. Remember that.
Fourth and finally, in todays world of instant gratification it can be challenging to wait 10+ weeks to get your stick. Couple that with the fact that most people's first order will be when they need a stick right away. It can be frustrating to spend $300+ USD for something you can't use for that long. But I promise if you can just be patient, you will be ordering sticks three and four and so on, then you will have plenty of backups. So, you should have no stress after the initial order!

I have now had my Custom Hockey Sticks for almost a year and I play three times a week. I have not broken one yet. Never in my 22 years of hockey have I ever had composite sticks last this long.

Unfortunately, I only got to play one game with the new twigs before Ontario shut things down again. I absolutely loved using them. They felt so comfortable and responsive in my hands. These sticks are comparable to the sticks that a couple of pro players have given me, maybe even better because I was able to pick individual specs from different pro sticks to make one just for me. I can't wait to get back on the ice and use these babies again.

I received my CHS sticks and was eager to give them a try. The curve is exactly the same size and shape as the Bauer Vapour that had been using. The flex is a tiny bit stiffer than what I am used to but I'm adjusting. The stick is gorgeous and I ordered the matte finish as I hate that grip stuff the big manufacturers put on every stick. It's everything I wanted and a bunch of my guys are looking at placing an order too.
Who Am I? A 54 year old absolute nobody playing really well organized shinny. I am a creature of habit and I hated that I could never buy the same stick twice. For the same price as retail, I have exactly what I want and am used to and I look forward to using CHS sticks until I eventually fall and break a hip! LOL. Happy Hockey out there.

Sticks are light and tough a decent selection of flex lie and curve to match most people I would recommend ordering early as it take a while to get custom made to order sticks

I recently ordered 2 custom sticks and I love them. They are very high quality at a very affordable price. Not to mention that you can completely customize them. After a game last week one of the new guys on the team was leaving the locker room and proceeded to hand me a Bauer stick. He basically wanted me to check it out and see how light it was. I asked how much he paid for it. When he said about $300 I kinda laughed and proceeded to tell him that I could have got him just as light of a stick for half that cost, plus he could have completely customized it. I'm not rich by any means and to spend that kind of money on a "good" stick is completely out of the question for me. You guys make that a possibility for us "beer leaguers".

So far, so good. The stick is very light and has a super responsive feel. If you're not in a rush for your stick, you'll end up getting exactly what you want.

Totally the best stick I’ve used so far, lightweight, strongly built, and snap pucks like a freakin’ catapult, plus everything you can customize on it for the decent price, totally worth a try!

For obvious reasons, I was apprehensive of trying CHS. The price just seems to good to be true. Well I decided getting 2 sticks for less than the cost of one good stick, its worth the chance. I'm no pro, but put a lot of strain on a shaft.at 6'4" 230lbs, It took only a month or so for a Bauer S2 to start feeling like a noodle. I prefer a rather stiff flex, mid kick shaft.and they nailed it. Opted for the lightweight shaft and extended length, so I wouldnt need the dreaded wood extension. Not only does the stick maintain its flex longer, the blade end holds up, not cracking/chipping. I got more than double the life out of the 1st one before it finally gave up to a direct hit from a slapshot (block). My 2nd set of two sticks is already on order, and I gladly tell all the guys I skate with about CHS when they complain about stick shopping for a new twig.

My son loves his new stick and the fact that he could order extra length so that he doesn't have to add an extender!

Amazing quality sticks for a great price. Lots of options to choose from to get the exact specs and look you want. Took about 6 weeks to make, then shipping. Staff and customer support are top notch.

So far 1-month in, twice week use, the sticks have held up great against face offs and slashes. Extremely light weight and whippy off the shot. Definitely converted to CHS after experiencing them.

I would like to start off by saying that I've ordered 6 sticks now from CHS. All really great sticks. They are lighter than the 1N Bauer sticks and I've only had one break. There are two things I would like to see when ordering from CHS. First, Shipping takes way to long. Either ship it to the customer straight from the manufacturer or expedite it. Second, there should be discounts for repeat customers. I don't need a stick bag for every stick I buy. Put it in a form of a discount for people like me.

Used my stick for the first time today and absolutely loved it. It looked great and everything about it felt right. This was my first experience with a "build your own" stick company and it was very positive. I've bought and used pro stock sticks before, and while they are high end sticks, they are still someone else's model, you have to conform to that stick to some degree. When you build your own, your getting what you want in a stick. CHS was great to deal with, they keep you informed every step of the way. Their prices are very reasonable, there are lots of options to choose from when your designing your stick, and the quality is top shelf. I would recommend that you order 2 or more to get a break on the shipping, its pricey if your ordering from the U. S, as international rates apply. Thank you CHS!

Purchased two intermediate sticks for my son and although Covid caused some serious shipping delays, once received the sticks are awesome. He has used them through the entire season (53 games) with no performance issues at all. I’d say these sticks easily align with the top sticks in his age range (13). He’s already asking when are we going to order his new ones for the fall (he has grown about 6 inches this season).

He is really disappointed. The sticks not for the high level players who used
to play with good quality sticks. I guess we got what we paid. Now we start looking for new sticks again. No online orders anymore.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to actually use the two sticks I bought yet due to Covid, but the quality and look of the stick look great I can not wait to get back on the ice and try them out to their full potential.

I bought the normal weight, but there is also a lighter weight if you want to go! This is where I'm getting my sticks from!
