Days Inn by Wyndham Riviere-Du-Loup

Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Roomy for my wheelchair however unable to use the tub. Not equipped with a shower chair. Perfect for a stopover on a journey though. It was quite comfy.

Very rude staff! Young kids, busy on their phones, dont even pay attention to the customers. Evening and night guys were very rude. Girl for the breakfast was very rude.
They don't have decaffeinated coffee. When you ask for decaf coffee, they look at you as if you're from space!
Breakfast is very poor!
They have a little choice of eggs for the whole hotel.
Usually Wyndham offers better choices.
Overall experience could be better.
Prices are very expensive for what it is.

Perfect place to stop in the way to NB. Comfy though the walls are thin and you can heard people on the hallway and upstairs. Quick to get in and out if you're in a rush

Reception was ok and breakfast food was ok but the room smelled of second hand smoke and I had to deal with coughing for a day afterward. Its weird since it looks like a non smoking hotel. I will not visit again.

Very tired, aging hotel. Beds were comfortable! Traveling with kids and the pool did not open until 1 pm which was disappointing as we were traveling and had to get on the road. As a Wyndham Rewards member, it was kind of disappointing. Breakfast was okay.

Très tranquille, nous avions un beau petit chalet, bien équipé. Le point négatif est que nous sommes resté 2 nuits et la femme de chambre n'a pas fait notre chambre donc pas de serviette propre, et poubelle pleine, pas de savon etc.

Friendly staff at the friend desk when checking in and checking out.
We were traveling with our dog and they were very accommodating, even though they didn't have a pet friendly room in the main hotel available that night, we were offered one of the pet friendly cabins on the property.
Very clean and private cabin with all the amenities you'll need for your stay.
They also had a nice little continental breakfast before you get on the road.
Will stay here again when traveling through.

Usually stay in a cabin, however none were available so I stayed in a room this trip. Prefer the cabins, better privacy, less noise, bigger space. No sit down dine in breakfast yet, big disappointment as the bag of breakfast they offer is a banana and a yogurt. Prices on the rooms should be reduced and skip handing out this poor substitute. Staff says dining room will be transitioning to opening sometime in June. Call ahead before booking and check if the dining room is open yet if this is important for your family, otherwise pick up your own food at the IGA around the corner

Clean, reasonably priced, with a nice continental breakfast in the morning! Very nice staff as well!
Bonus was the large parking spots for those who are trailering.would stop again at this fine motel!

Room was crowded and heaters way too loud. There were ski-doo's going through the parking lot until all hours. A decent sleep was not a priority for them. Interestingly guests were required to wear masks yet both staff I ran into didn't. We were also very disappointed with the breakfast of very soggy egg salad wraps. Not a good experience at all.

Nice place really clean and spacious rooms on the down side the therapeutic tub wasn't working and the staff didn't offer compensation when I reported it.so customers service is questionable could be the staff on hand.it was our first experience at this location but you don't get a second chance at making a first impression.

Cozy place to stay in when you are inside. There are rooms outside as well and lm not sure about the experience.

Room was large, clean and the view was beautiful! No elevator so carrying up luggage was difficult. Website states ‘Restaurant’ and when we got there we found out the restaurant is not open. No tea in the room, only coffee and no coffee or tea available at breakfast. Breakfast was a bag of takeout with an egg salad wrap or yogurt parfait and no other choices. Stayed in October so might be better during the busy season.

Despite many of the poor reviews, we just needed a place to lay our heads for one night, so decided to stay here. We dealt with two staff members - the morning person spoke fluent English, the evening guy, spoke very little and made very poor attempts to guide us to the somewhat circuitous route to our room.
The room itself, albeit dated, was actually cleaner than we anticipated. The king size bed was good, and slightly larger than the washroom. In the morning when we opened the balcony door, the view of the river was lovely, but the actual screen door fell right off.
The fridge contained the remains of the yogurt parfait from someone else’s free breakfast, which was included in the room price.
There was a strange sort of chemical smell in the room, which we assumed may have been as a result of whatever cleaning materials had been used. Anyone with an environmental allergy would have very likely been quite uncomfortable.
We decided to skip the pre-packaged breakfast and instead had a lovely breakfast of homemade whole wheat waffles with real maple syrup, a fresh fruit cup and delicious coffee at Café de la Brûlerie de Rivière-du-Loup. Service was excellent, and included two free coffees for the road!

Bon hôtel, prix abordable. La vue est très belle. Les lits sont très confortables. La propreté est excellente.
Seul point négatif: les femmes de chambre parlaient super fort dans le couloir à 7h du matin pour se partager le travail. C est inacceptable!

There was a fly in my room. I asked the receptionist if they had a tooth paste and he gave me a used one and told me to return it after using it! I was shocked when he asked me to return it especially during covid! The breakfast was horrible, very low quality, and there was a piece of egg shell in my egg sandwish. Usually Wyndham hotels are good, but I had a bad experience here.

Very old, floors are click flooring and every step you take, the floor cracks. You can't use the air conditioner if you are short, its up at the ceiling and it is too loud anyway, you would never get any sleep. If you can find another hotel in this area, don't stay here, not worth the price.

Excellent room, and the staff were very polite. They also spoke great English. Pet friendly rooms were available, which was a plus. It definitely needs more parking though, I showed up rather late and had to squeeze my car into an unmarked space.

My only other complaint is I noticed little small things, like stains on the towels. Unfortunate, but thankfully they provided enough that I could swap out for a clean one.

Clean rooms and super friendly staff. Perfectly bi-lingual. Considering the current health circumstances, they did everything to make our stay perfect.

Horrible stay if you want to get some shut eye past 6am and need water. Hotel rooms are nice with good beds but that’s about it. Too much noise. We also complained to front desk about noisy people upstairs that sounded like they were throwing heavy things on the ground on purpose, they didn’t do anything about it. Walls and floors are paper thin. They also sold out of water bottles and didn’t replenish. Coffee maker doesn’t work, it’s a complete run down hotel. You get breakfast in a bag to have in your hotel room which is yogurt parfait that seemed questionable and homemade granola. We didn’t want to take any chances with the food after experiencing everything else.

Very quiet and peaceful hotel with only 2 floors, so no elevator. Rooms were nice and clean but the washroom was really small as always and had no exhaust.

It's not fancy but it's clean, well-priced, and conveniently located, just off the highway and near a great grocery store, fast food, etc.

Il est rare que prenne le temps d’écrire un avis, mais la prestation est tellement décevante.
Au delà de la chambre extrêmement bruyante (juste à côté du placard de la femme de ménage à qui commence sont services très tôt), la déception du déjeuner. Un petit sac avec 2 petites choses à manger, et pas possible de se re servir.
Donc une très mauvaise expérience. Et je tiens à signaler que le Covid n’a rien à voir avec la préparation d’un bon déjeuner (j’imagine qu’il y a de très bon traiteur capable d’offrir ce service temporairement). Donc aucune excuse merci.

Quite run-down and noisy. Due to the pandemic people had to eat their included takeout breakfast in their rooms, and the sound of chairs and tables moving in the room above me was clamorous, as were the sounds of the doors in the hallway. I had stayed just a few weeks before at a Best Western in Edmunston, in a room that cost just $10 more than the Days Inn one, and the atmosphere and quality of furnishings was much higher. BW also had several socially-distanced tables and counters in the lobby where people could eat their takeout breakfasts if they chose to. I'd never stayed at a Days Inn before and unless the company has other hotels that have been updated, including public areas that are better-looking, it's just better value to go with BW.

Chambre propre et confortable. 2 bornes niveau 2 gratuite pour les vé. Au moment d'écrire cet avis (juillet 2021) le déjeuner est une boîte à lunch qu'on amène à la chambre. Pandémie oblige, on a eu le choix entre un wrap au oeufs ou un parfait au yogourt. Espérons le retour du vrai déjeuner le plus rapidement possible.

Disappointing. Not prepared for clients with accessibility needs. Sencond Days Inn in as many nights with similar issues. Will not be staying at a Days Inn again.

Wow! Nous avons séjourné dans l'énorme studio à l'arrière de l'hôtel (chambre numéro 300) C'était plus grand que chez moi! 2 lits queens, 1 lit double, 1 divan-lit et une magnifique terrasse avec vu sur le fleuve. Piscine extérieure, module de jeux pour les enfants. Très calme. Je recommande pour toute personne faisant un arrêt sur leur route vers la gaspésie

Well we just got here, and it’s WAY nicer than expected especially better than the holiday inn we stayed at yesterday. Looks kind of like a dump on the outside but our room was amazingly spacious, organized well, clean, the bed was super comfy. Get the room with the king bed and jacuzzi! Very happy with our choice!

Stayed here in July when driving from Calgary to NS and it was perfect so we booked it again on the drive back!

Nous avons séjourné avec ma famille dans une suite et avons trouvé l'espace très agréable. Une vrai cuisine équipée et des lits bien confortables. Il faut aussi souligner la superbe vue sur le fleuve et le coucher de soleil.
Seul bémol, en raison de la COVID, il n'y a pas de buffet pour le déjeuner mais le prix de celui-ci reste inclus dans le prix de la chambre. L'hôtel propose un panier en remplacement mais le contenu n'est pas comparable. En plus du suremballage excessif des portions individuels, le panier ne contient qu'un mini wrap (environ 4 petites bouchées maximum et pas adapté aux végétariens), un yaourt (pas d'alternative pour les intolérants au lactose), un jus et un muffin.
Je tiens cependant à remercier le personnel pour son accueil.

Rooms are clean, location is good, easy to find near the St Lawrence River. Can't give it full stars this time, their free breakfast was mostly inetable. Due to covid, they can't offer their usual assortment so it is pre-bagged pick up at the desk. The bag contains a wet muffin that stuck to the wrapper, two soggy very mini ham and cheese rolls, juice and yogurt. No microwave or butter to maybe make it more palatable, Most of this was left uneaten ️ the staff handing these was was very curt. I realize these are trying times but hope they will improve their offering and add a little cheer. We would stay there again.

155$ plus tax for one adult and one child, which was too expensive given the hotel room floors were dirty. My son had cat and/or dog hair walking in the room we rented. Obviously Covid19 is not something they are concerned with if the floors weren't hoovered.

Very clean. Laminate flooring vs carpeting. Lots of parking. Packed breakfast vs continental breakfast. Just a two minute walk is a wonderful restaurant " St Patrice"

We were put in a room that had been occupied by someone else.when we notified staff they said that someone had been there for ten minutes so it was no big deal. We asked for another room and after being told there were no rooms they found an overflow room. In this room we rolled back the sheets and there blood on the sheet. We checked the second double bed and slept with our clothes on.

It gave me a place to stay for the night, and they were very friendly on the phone.
But the room was dirty - stained chair, black mold in spots on the bathtub. The room smelled odd - as if it had at one time been a smoking room. As well, I had to shove the handle down quite hard on the door to get it to open.
I would definitely not stay here again. There are many other places to stay in the area that look as if they would be much better.

Hôtel correct. Malheureusement est actuellement en rénovation et une odeur de colle était perceptible. Ce sera assurément bien une fois les travaux complétés.

Good stop n the drive through esp.if you have a dog. The room has good access to outdoors. The room was comfortable the breakfast was good.

Pet friendly! We brought our two cats as we were moving across country. A beautiful hot breakfast buffet was included! Comfortable beds and quiet!

My worse experience at a hotel ever. Room smelled musty, breakfast was small and not many choices. Bed was comfortable and that was the only good thing. Went to have a shower in the morning and immediately the tub began to fill up with water. I got out of the shower dressed and went to notify front desk who were in no hurry to have this fixed. We ate our "breakfast" went back to our room and it was still not fixed. We packed up our belongings and by the time the guy showed up to fix the clog we had no time to shower. He didn't even clean the tub out expecting us to use it after all that backed up water. We had to drive from Quebec to Nova Scotia feeling unclean and not wanting to stop anywhere to eat as neither myself nor my Mother has showered. I contacted Wyndham customer service gave them all my contact information they said the Manager would contact me never rec'd that call. Will stay clear of Wyndham properties in the future.

Pas d’autres choix dans Rivière-du-Loup quand nous y sommes passés. Beaucoup trop cher.sûrement à cause de la demande. Des planchers qui font tellement de bruits et qui donnent l’impression de vouloir défoncer. Petit déjeuner « chaud » inclus.des oeufs cuits durs qui baignent dans de l’eau et des saucisses pleines de boules de gras dures.la propreté laisse à désirer. Si vous avez le choix, passer votre tour

I loved my experience here because your hotel has clean, cozy and comfortable rooms with some services like HDTVs, free Wi-Fi, microwave and more, i loved mostly your swimming pool but this pool is open in summer only. For staying at low prices with enough amenities, i will recommend.

Typical Days Inn. Nothing special, exactly what you would expect. If you are arriving late, you should call ahead for reservations. We arrived a little after 9: 00pm and got the last room.

Very reasonably priced and exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms. The cottages available are well worth the money for what they are and make for a memorable stay. Only down side is very little english tv channels and ordering food is a bit difficult without at least some basic french skills. Would recommend.

Clean accommodations. Room needed repairs (doors didn't work well). Disappointed they closed the pool before advertised hours.
