Delta Hotels by Marriott Quebec

Everything was good. The only thing was that they didn’t clean the room everyday. Especially in the case that we were in the room when they came to clean, they didn’t come back afterwards.

I was really disappointed by the hotel's customer service. When we got to our room, the toilet wasn't properly cleaned, and we found a not so pleasant surprise on the toilet wall (a piece of poops were attached on toliet wall) We called the front desk around 11: 20 pm, explaining the situation and asking for someone to clean it. No one showed up for 30 minutes, so we called again because we just wanted to go to bed. The same person picked up our phone and said cleaning service was only until 11 pm and our only option was to switch rooms. We had already unpacked, and one of our friends was already asleep, so changing rooms wasn't practical.
It would have been nice if they had told us during the first call, instead of making us wait and losing sleep. When I brought this up, the receptionist just said we could complain to the manager the next morning. So here I am, filing a complaint with a photo as evidence. During the two phone calls, the receptionist did not apologize for the uncleaned toilet or lack of communication. Despite having the Marriott name, the communication and hygiene level here were very disappointing.

Great place to stay during Quebec Comiccon! Staff very friendly and good at their job. Rooms leave a little to be desired. Le Bistro has great food.

Despite the ongoing renovations, my stay here was more than acceptable. I’ve never had a better shower in my 52 years of life! The pressure of the rain shower and handheld shower head was nothing less than amazing. I even went to reception to ask what the secret was haha! The cleaning staff went above and beyond. My room had a fantastic view of the fall foliage below. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

I stayed here for a week while in the city for work. Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. Room is spacious and clean.

Good buffet spread for breakfast but I only got the chance to try it once during the week as they open at 7.

The hotel is currently going under heavy renovation. The entire driveway is blocked off so it's hard to grab a taxi, especially in the morning when no one is around. There is a Marriott and Hilton close by, which may be a better choice under the renovations are completed.

I'd love to stay here again but not until the renovations are completed.

I was at another Hotel nearby earlier, and i got stranded in Quebec due to Hurricane Lee. Great, great staff, i am not used to such service. Breakfast was very good and i was well looked after by the extremely capable Manager/Supervisor (What surprised me was 2 Americans were puzzled as to why they were stranded there, umm i knew the previous day nothing in or out of Halifax ALL DAY).
If someone from the hotel/marriot can help me log in, because the membership card i was given did not work, was tried several times, tried with my email but i had no temp password to give the app so that was out too, Anyway i will be back with my friend next September for 2 nights. See you September 2024, be coming from the nearby VIA Station by taxi.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Price is rediculous for the quality of the hotel, room and service of staff from entry to exit. I love Marriott and Delta but this specific hotel was awful

Rooms are clean and equipped, just a tad bit small. It's a 15 minutes walk to Old Quebec, but the walking route is also scenic.

Convenient location near convention center and walking distance to restaurants. Under construction rooms are outdated carpet feels rundown

This is a designated hotel when in Quebec City. Friendly and helpful staff! Excellent location close to many amazing restaurants! Highly recommended.

An older hotel that was probably recent taken over but not all renovated. Probably more for conference business. Location is a bit further than liked from the old city, we got a room looking away from the hill. Not bad, but given the room condition, it is an unmemorable meh.

Marriott is always a great choice. This Delta is close to the old city and is pet friendly. Great restaurants all around and short walk to Plains of Abraham.

The building is so old that I can smell something bad from the carpet and the lunch box they offer was a far cry from what I expected.

Very nice staff and comfy rooms! Only thing I was not finding convenient is EVERYTHING is shut by 8.9 pm. No food available on site sadly but not their fault due to occupancy rates.

Bien déçu de cette hôtel. Lors de mon séjour les employés étaient en grève. Tout est fermé durant cette période. Pas de piscine et aucun service. Je comprends parfaitement leur revendication et je souhaite que leur conditions de travail soient vu et reconnue a la hausse. Les gestionnaires qui ont assurer le service ne sont pas up2date. Pour 2 nuits ont a prélevé 602$ en pre autorisation sur ma carte de credit… légèrement exagéré. Les chambres ont besoins d’amour 2021. Bonne chance. La prochaine fois ce sera le hilton.

The rooms doesn't look like pictures at all, the pictures shows it new and modern, where as the rooms are very old and not maintained.

Dated but nice. Rooms have a nice view and location is central. Steps away from food, shopping and entertainment. Carpet in the room s needs to go. Most Marriott have made the switch to hardwood floors. All in all pleasant experience.

This hotel is quite dated.it may have been a top notch hotel in the 1970's, but now it looks and feels like it needs some serious renovations. The beds in the rooms are not comfortable, very old mattresses. I ended up with back and neck pain after my 2 night stay. The showers and toilets are "eco-friendly", however this means that there is barely any water pressure when showering, and it may take 3 or 4 flushes to empty the toilet properly. So not really eco-friendly if you end up taking longer showers or flushing multiple times. The restaurant serves an expensive breakfast, that is really not that good, better off heading down rue St. Jean, to one of the many restaurants with better quality and selection. The only real good thing about this hotel is the location.very close to Vieux Quebec, the Parliament and the Citadel.

I stay at Delta and I was quite disappointed, the room wasn't properly clean (dust on shelves in bathroom), AC was making noise, shaking wooden part that covers AC, swimming pool was under major maintenance and not working, and no update on hotel website, so you book to use the swimming pool and they gave me a room next to the swimming pool so I can look co instruction guys directly from my room. Overall it deserves 2-3*, rooms are aged, smaller TV, bed was comfy, they need to upgrade ASAP for same money or less you stay in other hotels and rooms are state of art, modern, check out at TV. Delta Quebec is still in 19 century

Parking and room elevators were separate and the rooms were kinda a maze but overall very clean, simple, nice gym, nice staff and easy access to many tourist attractions.

Nothing like the booking photos, first room was dirty, got a second room and an apology. Second room still needs to be re vacuumed. Hallways are dirty and need vacuumed. Hotel is dated.

Lost the view we had now looking at a gov't building vs the valley and mountains.

And the pool is closed.

Always a pleasant stay at Delta. Given the limited staff, they are doing a moderately good job at maintaining their standards.

The room is a nice size. Unfortunately the hotel seemed to be a bit poorly maintained. The air conditioning couldn't keep up with the heat. The toilet had a weird leak. The pool was down for repairs.

Bien situé, central. Grande chambre, propre, lits moelleux à souhait. Super service au check-in. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Je reviendrai.

It really surprised me that a four-star hotel would yield such a terrible experience. If this is a four-star hotel, any hotel is a four-star and up.
The mattress had no support and the sheet was dirty when I opened up the cover. The coffee machine was cheap. No service at all. Barely got any sleep over night. All the equipment are not qualified.

Pour la 2e année consécutive la piscine était fermée, cette fois ci par contre la chambre était désuète, la chambre de bain mériterait clairement des rénovations (toilette qui fonctionne mal, douche qui ne se draine pas 4po d’eau restait constamment dans le fond), les moyens de pression des employés qui font la grève rendre l’expérience désagréable en ce moment (le restaurant de l’hôtel était fermé tout le weekend, on c’est fait réveiller a 7h par des bruits de manifestations en face de l’hôtel… ne vaut clairement pas le prix payé. Le seul point positif est l’emplacement qui est incroyable. Tout ce fait à pied

Sleeping in a zoo or at this hotel is the same thing. Had dogs barking all night and I went to the front desk to complain nothing was done

My visit was a couple of years ago, and I still have fond reconnaissance. Yes, a bit dated layout but I found the service excellent. Remember, this hotel is in a location good for the provincial offices but slightly less convenient for "Olde Quebec" tourism. For me, it was the people and the service that made this stay 5*'s!

After someone fumbled my check-in, I mentioned it, and the Manager acknowledged the problem, corrected it quite nicely, and even went above/beyond with my favorite soft drink! Room and shower were excellent. Restaurant was good+. Moreover, the front desk called a taxi at 6: 50am when I was trying to catch the train back to Montreal after an Uber stood-me-up. This "little thing" prevented a wasted day of travel and I was supremely grateful.

Everything was good. Clean room. Good location. Nobody speaks loud at night time.
Convenient parking. Nice view from the window.

Parking is an additional cost though I think it should be reduced or included due to the current situation. A lot more people would be willing to stay if they knew they would not have to worry about parking especially since there are very few travellers at the moment. Getting from the street to the bedroom was always a bit slow. I would recommend this location only if your business is in the immediate area or you are visiting for a conference. The suite upgrade was nice but nothing special. The hotel is probably much more enjoyable to visit in the summer. Nearby food options are very limited and there are no microwaves in the rooms. I would recommend staying at one of the other hotels such as the Courtyard, Marriott or Tribute hotel if you're are Bonvoy member.

As a Platinum member I was disappointed that my stay took so long to post and without the proper amount of points. The lack of breakfast or lounge option was disappointing and made the stay very uncomfortably and the promise of points required two follow up emails for them to post. Eventually I got all the points, so thank you Marriott for following up.

The best part of my stay was Audrey at the reception as she was very welcoming despite the current situation. The price I paid although discounted was not worth it. I will likely give this hotel another chance in the summer when more things are open in and around the hotel.

Le commis au téléphone lors de la réservation laissait à réserver. Cependant, le personnel sur place lors de notre séjour nous a offert un service plus que parfait et le prix est extrêmement abordable pour le type d'hôtel! Je recommande fois mille!

Nous avons pris le spécial avec la livraison du repas 4 service Sushi à la maison et c'était vraiment parfait pour nous.

Large hotel with a great service level. Staying there for four nights over the Christmas we called down multiple times for room service and a few other things and each time our needs were promptly attended to. The location is about a 10min walk from old Quebec along where most of the tourist attractions are. There are also a number of restaurants and bars along rue st Jean which are under 5min. The room itself was relatively standard in terms of what you would expect from a big chain: comfy beds, clean room, standard/clean functional bathroom. The one plus item was the tv which had Netflix on it. The free Internet was not download quality but was adequate for everything else.

Stayed there for 2 nights, was bitten by a bed bug the first night. We called them in the morning after finding the bites and the bed bug. They apologised, changed our room and washed our clothes in hot water.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was nice with a nice view. Close walking distance to historical downtown. Biggest issue was the pool, craziest hours, never got a chance to use it! When on vacation, you want to use heated pool/hot tub. And if you do, you don’t want want a lifeguard watching you. Parking was extra $$. Would stay again.

Was staying for a convention at the convention center. It was nice that the hotel was connected to it by an underground walkway. Excellent food at the restaurant in the lobby.

J’ai adoré cette expérience à cet hôtel, je suis allé m’héberger dans cet magnifique hôtel pendant 2 jours et on est satisfaits du service et chambres de l’hôtel, les chambres sont spacieuses et donnent des incroyables vues de la ville du Québec. Sérieusement c’est le meilleur hôtel dans le quel je suis allé!

Stayed here over the Christmas break. Staff is friendly indeed and Bryan at checkin did a good job on the information.
The ladies the next morning were very informative on what to do over the next 3 days. And best part was the offer to baby sit the dog in a room behind the reception for a short while if needed. We never had the need for this but the offer was appreciated.
The deluxe king room is huge and has a pullout. We preferred this as with a large dog it allowed for plenty of space.
Only negative feedback is related to the rollaway and blanket situation. We had to get an extra bed the second night onwards as the pullout is not big enough for 2 teenagers. However the rollaway came with no blanket. When I called the reception I was told that they were out. The next night we used bedsheets but it’s too cold in December and so the pullout was never used. A waste of $25 as we had no blankets or duvets to use it.
Didn’t try the food at the hotel as plenty of options near by but the menu is reasonably priced. Parking is steep at $25 a day considering we stayed for 4 nights.

Nous ne pouvons comparer le Delta et le Marriot car l'hôtel où nous sommes allé sont maintenant fusionnées. Ce que je peux vous dire peu importante le nom de cette hôtel tu es reçu par le service Valet qui en passant stationne l'auto au sous-sol et vous tendent la main comme des itinérants s'amusent avec votre auto si la puissance est là. N'oublions surtout pas que le coût est honnêreux. À près avoir passé l'étape Valet, on vous invite à monter au troisième pour vous faire enregistrer et recevoir vos clés. Donc je ne peux vous dire d'y aller ou pas. Moi personnellement je serais indécis.

Our stay was for 2 nights.
Our room was on 12th floor,
Great view of Old Quebec.
We had full continental breakfast,
5 à 7 with a nice variety of finger food (blue cheese, Gouda etc.)
Starbucks coffee, Peligrino water, diet pepsi, juice etc.included.
Beautifully kept up 94°degree pool.
Our room & beds were very comfortable.
Indoor parking.
Would definitely return and recommend.

Cet hôtel a grandement besoin d'être rénové. La moquette et la déco dans les chambres sont nettement défraichies. La ventilation était vraiment très bruyante et non efficace. Nous y avons passé 3 nuits. Pour le prix payé c'est vraiment pas acceptable. Notre chambre était grande nous avions une chambre exécutif au 11e étage qui comprenait le lounge au 12e étage. Les petits déjeuners servis étaient très bien sauf qu'ils se terminaient trop tôt (9h30). Pour ce qui est des bouchées 5 à 7 il manquait vraiment de variétés. J'aimerais par contre souligné la gentillesse du personnel surtout la dame au lounge le matin (24 au 27 septembre 2018).

We stayed on our recent trip to QC at Delta Quebec. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's located in old Quebec also known as Vieux Quebec. Also there is a bus stop in front of the hotel and it's easy to move around the city. The hotel is huge. Our room was nice. The only issue we had was the house keeping, they would knock on 7: 45 am to clean the room. Also they would not stock up on coffee and cups etc.which we had to request for front desk to send. But apart from that it was a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy Quebec City's old world charm conveniently.

Extrêmement cher pour ce que c'est. La première chambre venais tout droit des année 80 (Quand le site montre seulement de chambre moderne). De plus, les toilettes n'étaient pas propres et il y avais du papier pas flusher.
Le bureau nous ont offert le stationnement gratuit (parce oui on dois payer le stationnement même si la nuit reviens à presque 400$) plus le petit déjeuner gratuit (parce que non ça non plus c'est pas inclus) pour contrer le problème. Donc en autre mot, un rabais d'environ 30$ pour contrée le fait que je n'avais pas DU TOUT la chambre que j'avais réserver. De plus que nulpart sur leur site ou dans ma réservation il ne font mention du stationnement payant ou bien de la chance de tomber sur une vielle chambre. Du plus c'est vraiment mal indiquer. Quand il faut que tu cherche pour sortir de l'hôtel, c'est mal indiquée.

Bref après être retourner à l'entrée ils nous on donner la chambre promis. Plus petite mais moderne. Par contre ils m'ont charger le stationnement au frais de 24$ plus taxes. Première et derniere fois dans cette hôtel.

We stayed at Delta hotel for 2 nights, with 2 rooms. They did overbook and even though we reserved the rooms one of them was taken. Naturally we were upset, by the staff was very helpful even providing free breakfast, lunch, and parking (all of which are very expensive) so in the end we had a very enjoyable stay as the shops are only about 10 minuets away and the hotel itself is HUGE and beautiful.

Stayed 2 nights in the suite and I enjoyed it. The room was incredible and the service was amazing as well. Would definitely go back. It is so close to LA Grand Allee as well which made going out super easy and convenient.

Always a sure bet. Service is efficient and polite. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The dining area offers great meals whether for breakfast, dinner or happy hour. The Delta is my go-to Hotel when in Quebec City. I highly recommend

Just don’t stay here. If you do check in at 7pm your room may be ready. I’m sure the off season may be different however my recent experience in the summer is they overbook and to help take pressure off the checkin agents they allow everyone to do a late checkout which results in a domino effect for the travellers checking in the next day.

I left my husband and two kids while I went to check in to come back to find the valet service pressured them to leave the car and took all our items out so we had to leave everything with them till a room came available. We had just been shopping all day and there were several things we could have left but they remained on display at the valet service desk.

I booked the club level top floor and I was bumped to a lower room. No mention of a discount till I expressed my concern of not getting what I paid for. Then the manager discounted me but basically only to the value of the room I received so nothing really done to compensate for their error.

Rooms are average, beds are comfortable, bathrooms have been redone however they left the 1995 tub and shower surround so very dated on that part.

I stay at Marriott hotels whenever I travel for work and personal and always give a 5star review as I do love this hotel group; however, if you are okay with mediocre service, feeling insulted and not valued, it’s a perfect spot for you.

My family and I stayed here last night on our way to the east coast. Check in went smooth, very curtious and helpful. Our room was located right across from the pool which was awesome for our 8 year old. The room itself was very clean and modern. The weather in Quebec City was very hot and humid and the air conditioning did it's job and then some. We went to the restaurant for dinner the night we arrived. There were very few people sitting in the restaurant when we arrived yet it took a very long time to get a table. We ordered 3 orders of fish and chips, a club sandwich, nachos, and a pogo. The fish was very over cooked, and so were the nachos. My son enjoyed the pogo, and my wife said the club was good. The next morning we were a little concerned how the breakfast buffet would be. We were however pleasantly surprised. It was a typical hotel buffet, but nothing was overcooked, and the fresh fruit was quite good. All and all, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of dinner. My family and I would be more than happy to stay here again, I would however book a room higher up to get a view.
