Deville Slay
Begging you don't miss on their shakes. Every now and then I come to try their food, they got so much options. I love the typical diner type of meal they serve but elevated. Also their regular shakes are good but their alcoholic shakes are better The waiters and waitresses are always sweet, clean and not overbearing.
Last time I ate there I think I had the Texas steak sandwich which is basically like a nastier version of a club sandwich. And their deville burger. Highly recommend. Today I had a simple vanilla shake, definitely one the best I've tasted. Also very random but they're all in pink so: Barbie Slay

I went to watch the Eagles game with my girlfriend on Monday night. Despite there being a hockey game, they accommodated the football fans. Which I thought to be cool because there were only a few of us in there.
I ordered a Muy Fresquito tequila-based drink, which was really good.
The Ahi Tuna Tacos and Mighty Nice Arugla Salad was delicious.
The girl serving us behind the bar was very likable as well.

The marketing of this place I have to say is 10/10, I loved the menu and everything about it. The food was good and drinks were good. The server Chad was incredibly nice, accommodating and friendly! Came with a few friends and we will be back:) hoping to be served by Chad again!

Great drinks and great atmosphere! Our bartender Nada was amazing, she was very friendly and joked with us. Would overall recommend this place to anyone who likes unique drinks!

Deville used to be one of my favourite restaurants. After Covid, they entirely changed their Menu. The list of burgers is quite limited and they reduced the milkshake list. I no longer have my circus burger, my special milkshake and my banana pie dessert. Staff and food is still delicious, but this new direction is obviously different than the original concept. I'm not too keen on getting a 40$ pasta plate when going to a dinerbar or a 19 +tx basic burger. It seems to be hard these days to find a creative burger that does not contain pulled pork/beef.

Nice diner in downtown Montreal with plenty of seats. Accept without reservation. Tried beef ribs and knife and fork cesar. Both were good. They Have a variety of wine and cocktails. Expect 50$ per person per meal

Really great cafe with excellent milkshakes, especially if you're going to add a little bit of alcohol to it. I really enjoyed the Black label Burger.

Just average. We got there and, to our fault we were late. They already gave our table away, which is understandable, but they did not find us another table even though on the phone they had another opening at 8pm. The manager didn't even try to find another table that would be more suitable, and we were giving on small table close to the kitchen and the staircase.
Since we preferred staying at the bar than being in a passing place (even though we were never offered to move later to another table), we decided to eat and drink there.
The food was average at best, very expensive too. The cocktails were good though and the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one would be because of the amazing bartender that took his time to chat with us, give us suggestions and help us have a good time. Disappointing.

The service was outstanding, our waiter named Sam took great care of us. He gave us suggestions which turned up to be amazing. The fat cat burger, calamari rings and pain perdu are some of the many must tries.
The food was delicious and the presentation was top-notch. Also I’ve heard that they are about to have new items on the menu can’t wait to try them out.

The service here is really hospitable. All the staff were nice. However, I have to say the fried chicken waffles were not as good as I excepted. The chicken was very dry and not warm at all. I barely ate it. Poutine sauce was way too salty, but the fries was good. I probably wouldn’t come back since I can get decent and warm food with this price at another place.

Such a beautiful experience, the Devill Cake was delish and we has a steak meal that was good too.don't remember the name. The servers helped us make our food choices and their recommendations were top notch. The little Havana mocktail was good too.

Very good spot, they have a great salad menu here. I do miss the chop chop salad though. Always o e of my spots when I'm in the city.

Cool modernized 50s diner vibe and interesting menu. I got the chicken and waffles which was very good. Some of the other entrées are on the pricier side, something to note before you come.

Always a great experience at Deville Dinerbar. Always great customer service and friendly staff. Their appetizers, burgers and main courses are delicious! Always want to try a new meal every time I return back to Deville. Their cocktails are also delicious.
You will never be disappointed no matter what you order at Deville.
Great ambiance too!

Food is great, most of their dishes are big so you might want to share. Very clean and friendly staff.

THE WAGYU BURGER! “Holy smokes Batman! ” AMAZING! I’m a New Yorker who visits Montreal often… That being said, I’ve tried some of the most acclaimed burgers in NYC and none come close to this. The best burger I’ve ever had. I was lucky enough to be the first to try it too! Which makes me a burger pioneer thank you very much! ;) Kevin and Tolis made the experience feel like I was having dinner at home with a bunch of my boys! Energy was amazing! Those two guys are OUTSTANDING! The whole team to be honest is outstanding! We come to Deville every single trip. Even during the worst days of the pandemic we’d still order take away service! Absolutely love this place! Thanks to the whole team for the consistently amazing food and service!

Loved everything I tried here. Oysters supper delicious, calamari so freshly made it melts I was your mouth. Steak was well seasoned and the bad girl pasta I couldn't stop eating it. Their drinks were soooooo good. I tried the cappuccino martini and French mule which is henney based. So good.

I would definitely visit again.

Belle atmosphère animee, réservations préférables, terrasse, bar. Cocktails délicieux et varies, nourriture originale et excellente, salade de general tao coup de coeur voila belle soirée. Service impeccable. Un peu jet set nais symoathique. Beau monde.

The night was completely disappointing for one of us. The Korean taco lettuce cups were all punctured so the filling liquid leaked out all over. Food took 40-45 min as there were not enough waitresses - so they compensated the dessert we already ordered. The biggest disgrace was the double chocolate bread pudding dessert as it was completely misrepresented in the menu. Was meant to be cake pieces tossed with custard and baked. Instead, they just served a large chocolate cake with a tiny tablespoon of strawberry custard cream in the centre. It didn't even ooze out as the waitress suggested. However, one of us got the Black Label burger which was excellent.

It is an absolute must for anyone in Montreal to experience Deville. My husband and I have been dining at Deville since 2013. After the many times we have eaten here, we always had the best experience. The food and drinks are phenomenal! The staff is amazing! This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the city.

Really wonderful dining experience. Service is impeccable and friendly, menu is tremendous and regularly updated. The boozy shakes are indulgent. Try the bulgogi taco appetizer, you won't regret it!

Passed by Deville for a late night bite. Had poutine which was amazing, it was so so good with really skinny fries which were great. Also had a very special treat which was deep fried Mac n cheese sambosa, it was SO GOOD!
Went back again for a dinner date and sat in their gorgeous outdoor patio; the food is pricey but definitely worth it!
The Oreo/Nutella icecream sandwich Is out of this world.

It was a great choice to come to this place. Best Restaurant in Montreal that we’ve been to so far. Outstanding service, the food was amazing I got screaming Korean chicken and my husband got an American steak (the doneness of the steak was perfect). The atmosphere and decoration are on point. I highly recommend it!

Première fois que je déguste une viande aussi parfaitement cuite.je suis tombé en amour ne savant pas quoi prendre j’ai demandé le conseil d’un des serveurs et j’ai été totalement satisfaite. Les boissons aussi sont très bonnes, j’ai bien apprécié le service à la clientèle bref 10/10.

Very nice decor. Our waiter was so nice and efficient. We ordered wonton mac and cheese appertizer, which was just okay. For mains, we got the chicken waffle with lobster pogo on the side, garlic masheed potato and a Bad Girl pasta and it was just so good.

Went for my birthday. Jin was a great server and the food and atmosphere was great. Spaghetti and meatballs were awesome and the beignets were unbelievable. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Thanks again for a great night.

There's absolutely nothing that I've eaten here that isn't phenomenal. I always start with the coconut bartered onion rings not only are they huge but they come with a root beer dipping sauce that's to die for. I followed up with a burger that had a bone marrow mayo and candied bacon. My girl got the macho salad and the croutons are made of corn bread. We were excited to be eating indoors again and got some Mac and cheese and lobster pogos too.

Burguers were completely meh. Burguer de Ville on St Laurent is doing o much better job. Service was not bad. The decoration was probably the only consistently good thing.

Although Deville is known for their burgers.they have the BEST salads in the city - gives Mandy's a run for their money. My GO-TO is their Romaine Chicken Salad.

This place is an awesome place to stop for a few cocktales. The bartenders really know what they are doing and know how to put the perfect twist on well known drinks to make them even better. Their classic Mojoto is to die for! Although I cannot speak on their food - their drinks are a must taste!

Burger Deville très bon, bacon grillé parfaitement, sauce présente mais pas trop abondante, viande goûteuse.
Les frites étaient bonnes, dommage que le format soit en allumette car c est pas le plus pratique à manger. Mais l adresse est bonne pour les amoureux du burger!

Joli Dinner en plein centre d'affaires de Montréal, avec un service impeccable et plutôt rapide. Les plats sont variés et très copieux, vous n'aurez clairement plus faim en sortant de cet endroit. Les Milk shake sont dans le même style que celles de certaines séries américaines. Seule grosse ombre au tableau, les tarifs sont quand même élevés que ça soit pour les plats ou les Milk shake même si les plats sont goûteux.

Very nice restaurant inspired by old school diners from the 50's-60's. The food is very good, on particular their lobster BLT, their meatloaf and the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls. They also have very good cocktails and their milkshakes with alcohol are worth a try. It does get very crowded, I recommend to make a reservation.

Belle ambiance et belle déco style diner des années 70. Notre serveuse était sociable et nous a même fait une petite histoire du restaurant.

Bémol: j'ai commandé un burger "Juicy Lucy à l'envers" et j'ai été extêmement déçue. Il y avait 2 ÉNORMES boulettes de viandes dans mon hamburgers (du genre qui font que vous devez manger votre sandwich avec couteau et fourchette), mais sans aucun goût ni assaisonnement en plus d'être à peine cuit (c'était encore rose à l'intérieur). Aussi, je n'ai pas compris le but de noyer le pain et les boulettes dans une marre de beurre et de gras, ça m'a donné mal au coeur au point où j'ai été malade et j'ai fait une indigestion alimentaire ce soir là.

Le prix des cocktails est un peu trop cher je trouve (14$ pour n'importe lequel, même les drinks traditionnels).

Donc au final, ambiance et service #1 mais certains plats laissent à désirer.

Well, it's in downtown right, so I find it a bit expensive. The drinks are ok but food not really good though, no flavor, oily. Just not my place! Some of the staff where very nice but once waiters shift happened, our new waitress ignore us quite a lot.

This is my boyfriend's favorite place for date night:) Sophisticated food, great service and nice atmosphere. I do recommend trying one of their more sophisticated dishes (Korean sandwich and Kentucky fried steak are two of my favorites), since they're not as good on the classics. I ordered a club sandwich once and it wasn't as spectacular as I expected (but who goes to DeVille's diner to order a club sandwich?) All their entrees are tasty and nice the share. The allumette-cut french fries are awesome. All the burgers I tried were delicious and special. I've also tried some of their signature dishes, it was to die for. The staff is nice, present, attentive and fast. They also have daily special on drinks, my favorite is the Killer Kool-aid, or the milkshake if you're going alcohol-free. The decor is very pink and neon but classy. Perfect for a date, for girls and boys night out, or even for a nice family dinner. You definitely want to bring your out-of-town guests to DeVille's diner!

I visited the restaurant on a Tuesday evening, it wasn't very busy but it felt like it was a Thursday or Friday night. The atmosphere is great and decor is lively. The waiter was attentive and made recommendations on the menu. They offered a wide range of cocktails and wines but I was disappointed with the limited choice with dark beers. I chose to eat the steak with chimichurri topping but I should have ordered the burger like my friend ordered. The steak looked and tasted like it had been previously cooked and they tossed it on the grill to reheat it. Overall good vibes and food based on this visit could be much better.

Don't stare too long at the prices. The portions are VERY generous and the food is a step above what you'd expect of a good quality American Diner. Go for the drinks, don't waste your money on beer.

Everything was great about the restaurant from the service to the food. However, my biggest complain is that I have gotten food poisoning from eating the Prime Rib Dip sandwich. I haven't eating the whole day other than my usual breakfast and believe the main culprit to be the food that I have ordered from Deville. I'm glad my girlfriend didn't get sick last night from her food which I am relieved about. So far from writing this review I've been to the toilet 4 times with explosive diarrhea! Please inspect the Prime Rib Dip menu, thanks.

I came back to Montreal after a few years and decided to meet some friends here for dinner last night. I remember it being a good restaurant (I haven't been in 4 years). We had ordered burgers, salad, steak and dessert. A few hours after dinner we all started feeling sick and today we are all dealing with a non stop stomach ache. I usually don't write reviews but this is something I had to share since we all got sick. Very disappointed!

Went with a couple of girlfriends last Friday night. The decor is sleek and upscale, and there is a nice buzz of energy. That being said, this is a definite tourist-trap. The food is grossly overpriced, which I may be able to accept if it was good. The fried pickles, while a generous portion, were overly breaded and gummy. The burger was dry, there were a few bits of unpleasant gristle in it, and the cheese tasted processed. The fries were a crime. They were the shoestring kind, which I will admit, are not my preference, but they were tough and tasteless, almost like cardboard. At around $20 for the burgers (more or less depending on toppings) this was disappointing. I would have expected that to be a safe bet at a diner-type place. There are far superior burgers in the city for half that price.
The drinks and desserts are fun, but also overpriced. Despite the large portions, there are no desserts under $13! We're talking cake and ice cream too, not only their more specialized offerings, like beignets.
In short, go for the atmosphere, not the food.

The views of this bar are just too beautiful. And the service is good. I love the lobster sandwich, and they have daily special dish.

Very cool vibe, big portions, tasty dishes and friendly service. Sat at the bar and the bartender was accommodating and nice! Will be back!
