Have contacted them by voicemail several times with no response. Can't speak to anyone else because there is only recorded messaging, no operator. Want to return to POS machines that the tap didn't work, got new machines.

Toby has been a wealth of information! A pleasant experience to say the least, she is very easy to talk to and gets the results that you are seeking. Extremely prompt with returning emails, calls. Has gone above and beyond to ensure that there is customer satisfaction. Got a cold call from these guys, of course promising me they could save me money. This company just fraudulently told me they were calling from Elavon Corporate (the back end payment company that processes from merchants). Vlad told me many times he was from Elavon, never once Digitech Payments. Thats how he could save me so much money, because I was dealing with a third party. He insisted I give him confidential information about my business transactions so he could "make sure my current merchant/credit cards were charging me correctly" and "do a comparison for corporate rates". This is a total bait and switch scam, Then turned around, charged me a whole ton of fee's like a $150 Sign on Fee, and an outrageous rental price on a device that should be $30/month.they are charging $90. PLUS a annual fee of $50. Give me a break, I've demanded that they take their device back, and cancel my account TWICE now, and of course my requests are just being ignored, because why do they care.they have my money.a Bunch of money grubbing liars. Don't ever sign with Digitech Payments, it will cost you WAY more than you are paying now. I promise.

If I could put 0 Stars I would. I received lots of communication with Digitech until I signed over the agreement. Once I received the hardware I was having issues syncing the Poynt hardware with my backend system. I received little to no support and asked to cancel my account and return the hardware. That was over a month ago. I am still in the process of trying to return the hardware and in the meantime have been charged for another month for a service I have never used. Very dissatisfied with this company.

They will continue to bill you for months despite providing verbal and written notice you want to cancel. They billed me for 7 months of unused service after I received confirmation my account had been cancelled 7 months prior. When I called to dispute this, I was given the run around by multiple customer service reps until finally I was contacted about a potential refund after leaving a 1 star review. They said they could only give me 3 months of charges back, and that I was lucky to be getting anything. While they are a good service while you are a paying customer, this was a very negative cancellation process.

They were pushy telling me to get my current statement so they could "show me where I'm being overcharged". When I said again I wasn't interested he hung up on me. Very unprofessional, very pushy, do not recommend.

Edited: turns out they read reviews, Howard called me back incessantly to rectify the situation. I gave only 2 more stars because I haven't fully looked over their proposal. Will update again.

UPDATE: after reading all the reviews of things I'm already afraid of.hidden fees, contracts, no answer, and not to mention their generic answer to all the bad reviews, I've decided to steer clear. Thanks for the insight everyone!

Id stay away from these guys. Both sales guys that contacted me were pretty weird. They promised all these things. Time came to sign a contract fees were not what he said. These guys wasted probably 3 hours of my time. Also the rates they promised were super low and could not provide me in writing of these rates and thats one of the reasons I did not sign up with them.

Switched over to Digitech from another provider. No hidden fees all up front costs. Explained everything. Install was flawless new and updated machines. Great service. I would recommend looking at you rates.

BEWARE - they took money from the account for MONTHS despite cancellation. Arrogant, and unpleasant, especially once I called to end their service.
I was not bound by a contract nor was I renting their equipment yet they didn’t accept my cancellation call and kept charging my bank account monthly fees for months.
The “manager” flat out refused to return a single penny. He didn’t return my repeated calls, and once he did call me he was extremely rude.
This was by far the worst interaction I’ve had in over 17 years of doing business.

Sadly my experience is very similar to every low rated review, I only wish I read this before dealing with them.
The positive reviews sound absolutely fake.
Save yourself the stress and stay away from these people, whatever they promise is not worth how you will be treated once things don’t go their way.

All of you that think they are so wonderful just wait until you decide to try to cancel. They are the ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever dealt with when trying to cancel. NUMEROUS phone calls over 4 months after being told it was cancelled and they keep STEALING money out of your account I wrote a bad review. FINALLY get a call from them at this point, Jesse B, and was told if I take down the review they will credit back money. NO MONEY EVER CREDITED BACK! At least the theft stopped at this point. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THESE THIEVES!

When we first came into contact with Digitech payments we were experiencing constantly irising merchant fee costs from our provided. Although it took time to be convinced that Digitech payments would be the right company to switch to, we did and we could not be happier. Immediately our monthly cost decreased by $300.00. The use of the Virtual Terminal through Converge has been a great way to receive payments through the credit card management system. Our usage has increased drastically through the pandemic, but even with this increase in usage, after 3 years, our monthly cost is stilly lower than it was with our previous provider. Thanks to the customer service representatives that have supported us and to our current relationship manager, Alice Cass. The service is not excessive and suits our needs 100%. Thank you Digitech payments.

Want to get something done now and done right call Digitech.

Jacquelin Chin.when this lady says "it's taken care of" that is exactly what she means.

I put the phone down and right away things started to fall into place, it is so far above the service that is given these days, that it was nothing short of amazing, together with her co-worker Barry Stevens, within 90 minutes we no longer had a problem, and they both checked back with us to make sure that all was well and that we were completely staisfied.

What a Team. Congratulations please keep up the amazing job that you do.

There was a issue going on for long and not getting resolved due to no proper communication coming from Representatives of Digitech Payments. However when Sophie Rau, Merchant Support Manager from Digitech stepped in, it was a wonderful experience while talking to her in resolving the long outstanding issue. She is kind, considerate and with positive attitude willing to take one step forward in resolving the issue. We really appreciate indeed the positive efforts made by Sophie. I was hesitant to switch to a different company for my merchant services but Maria at Digitech was there to help me every step of the way. She got me a fantastic rate that will save me lots of money. Maria followed up after to see how things were going and if I had any concerns. Awesome service, would recommend to anyone. Plus they are from Montreal so you are doing business with a great Canadian company.

A great company with the best rates. They do beat everyone else. As an example I frequently get calls from other processing companies wanting to compare rates to see if they can get me a better deal, when I tell them that I'm using Digitech they say " Digitech has the best rates, we're not going to waste your time, have a good day"
I've had the pleasure to deal with Howard Zemel, Caroline Camley, Leila Guerin. They have all been fantastic.

My wife shutdown her accounting business, contacted them 4 times to get get return label for the machine. They were going to call her back. After 4 months, 4 calls and 4 months being billed, this is too much. Bank has been contacted to STOP payments. Do Not DO business with them. They knew, because they contacted the new company to see if they wanted interac machine. No customer service, keeps gouging client, never returns calls.

After 6 months of no business going through account and three months of stop payments, they had the gall to send to a collection agency. I think contacting the BBB is next or Lawyer. Businesses that are good sort this out before people write bad reviews. My wife was the contact for accounting software of a national accounting group.

Would advise avoiding. They sign you up but make it hard to leave. AFTER POSTING THIS I had a conversation with them. After receiving 3 extra months payment plus posting a collection fee, they offered to pay for the collection fee if we removed this first. I said take care of collection fee first. My wife wanted the fraudulent obtained 3 additional months fees too, for the headaches. Check out BBB reviews.appears to be standard practise. No sense of who the customer actually is.

Cannot and will not recommend.joey the sales rep was aggressive, called many times, asked for an email address which I gave him, could not ever find the email he said he sent. I wanted to look at a different vendor than square, and when he kept calling over and over, and I didn't receive the email to be able to send him the square reports, he became annoying, to the point where I said I simply do not have the time as a busy small business to keep having these conversations without any result, so I think I will stay with square. (*click* hung up mid sentence) for the time being until this can be sorted.extremely poor attitude.definitely wont be sorting this with him now. I do want to switch from square as we have outgrown it and feel there is a savings to potentially be had, this guys attitude stinks.we did over $300000 sales on square last year.this is not the company to consider.and they lost all potential with my business.if i could rate zero star I would.

After being marketed multiple times by this company and telling them many times that we are happy with the company we are using, I took a chance and agreed to have a conversation and go over rates with them. After discussing rates with VLAD I said I would need to bring it to my bosses attention and see what his thoughts are. Although I knew Vlad was looking for an answer right then and there he agreed to call me back a week later. Today I received a call from Vlad and he was very clearly expecting me to agree to switch but when I did not, he became angry and hung up on me. My reasoning was that we are very happy with the service MONERIS has provided us over the last decade but if he wishes he can follow up in the future and we may be looking for change at that time, I guess he isn't interested in doing his job because that is not how you get customers! After reading how negative their reviews are, we are extremely happy with our decision and if anyone is reading this, we HIGHLY recommend Moneris!

We have been with Digitech Payments for a couple of years and recently decided to switch providers in March of this year. The person we have dealt with since our account opening, Howard Zemel, has been increasingly unpleasant, condescending and almost hostile since we requested account closure. He has done everything possible to avoid cancelling our account and we have continued to be charged despite his promise that our account would at least be on an indefinite dormant hold.

While we had a pleasant experience during the course of our time with them, this experience has completely soured any of the previous and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for a POS provider.

STAY AWAY. Looks like we are not the only company who is having issues with closing their account. Terminal has been returned for months yet money from our bank account is still being taken. This has been going on for months now. Howard Zemel is very quick to get you signed up with empty promises but don't try to close your account. In our first month using Digitech Payments and Elavon a transaction was lost in the system even thought the terminal said approved. We were told we must have done something wrong during the transaction, no compensation was received. We also encountered delays with money being deposited to our bank account a couple of times. We are a very busy store and need a reliable, reputable Merchant we can trust. If you lose confidence and would like to close your account you will be bounced back and forth between employees who promise to call back but never do. I will be filing a formal complaint with the FCAC regarding Digitech's business practices and putting a stop payment at the bank. If you are looking for an excellent Merchant go with Canadian POS Corp. They have much better rates on both the terminal and the transaction fees.

So this is my second update to this review. Initially it was a 1, then a 3, I have now upgraded it to a 5. The power of effective communication makes all the difference in the world. We inherited a number of challenges, which spun out of control. Not the least of which was that we couldn't get anyone on the phone. After a very long series of communications, I finally got to Sophie. With extremely effective communication she reviewed all of the challenges. Corrected misconceptions on both sides of the line. At the end of the day everything is right again. It helps to have a person to talk to. Thank you Sophie. I should also mention Kiana. We had a really weird terminal problem, she quickly and easily sorted the issue for us, and went beyond to get us to Sophie for the other account issues we were having.

Amazing Staff! Very helpful and patient. They made the transition from Square very easy. They answer all questions and reply to emails and phone calls promptly. Good service is difficult to find in this modern world, but Digitech goes above good service. The Rates and services they provide are far, far better than Square.

We have been dealing with a company that had us using an outdated and unsafe machine with no other equipment available. They were also much higher in their % for both their and the Credit Card company. If I hadn't called we would still be paying higher admin fees and % to their company. I was thrilled to find Digitech and they were on the ball and got us signed long before the others even contacted us.

Digitech was fast, very simple to switch over to, provided great instructions over the phone and then by email. Their pricing was great. The purchase option for the machine was superior to having to pay a monthly fee for the rest of our days.

I hope they stay as on the ball as they have getting us to join them. So far we are extremely pleased. Why stay and pay crazy %'s because you think it's a hassle to switch.

Absolute HORRIBLE company. BUYER BEWARE. I was lied to by Howard Zemel multiple times. We were told in writing our current merchant service provider would be notified by letter of our cancellation, only to find out it was a lie. I WILL BE POSTING MY EMAILS FROM HOWARD WITH THESE LIES if this issue is not taken care of. I would give Digitech negative 10 stars if I could. If Digitech removes this review, I will keep posting until this is settled.

Skeptical at first since multiple companies have been calling. We are a mechanic garage and Digitech Payments' approach was both professional and accommodating. The entire team including Kiana and Howard answered all questions and the transition was smooth.

Highly recommended!
