Called for price on parts, in Canada it appears to be double the US price. So not only are their appliances overpriced, so are their parts. Aren’t we suckers.

If you enjoy being put on hold for 2 hours, choose this brand. In fact, they didnt even pick up after 2 hours. Dont bother with your auto-response either, I just want the fan part ive been trying to order for a week. Unbelievable. Ive seen sloths more efficient than these guys.

Why you service is so bad?
It is bad for everything. For communication - not returning calls and not answering email; for professionalism of your technicians - twice in 6 month technicians are came and instead of replace a defective machine they blamed the customer about we do not know how to use it.
Please do not buy a problem with your money!

Sox times within a week called to order the part. Every time I was either listening music for 45 min and hang or got cut-off with automatic voice saying: no one is available to take your call, please call again later.

Avant d'acheter quoi que ce soit chez Corbeil/Distinctive/Groupe Amiel, tu es mieux de te trouver des alternatives.
Exemple: tu veux t'acheter une cusinière.va te chercher petit poêle au propane de camping mets ça sur ton comptoir. C'est mieux que de faire affaire avec Corbeil/Distinctive/Groupe Amiel.
T'as besoin d'un lave-vaiselle? T'es mieux d'aller te chercher un paquet d'assiettes en carton et les mettre au compost après utilisation que de faire affaire avec Corbeil/Distinctive/Groupe Amiel.
T'as besoin d'un congélateur? T'es mieux de vendre ta maison et déménager au pôle Nord et de garder tes aliments dehors que de faire affaire avec Corbeil/Distinctive/Groupe Amiel

I ordered parts from Distinctive to repair a Blomberg dryer. They were priced much better than my previous supplier, PSB, and I received the parts very quickly. Basically the entire repair was done by the time PSB finally got back to me with the shipping cost!

I can't even rate thier company!
I never had such horrified customer service entire my life! We had brand new units with bran new dryer. The dryer had been issue and request repair and took 6 month and still had not been fixed. They said they did everything their part and ask me to wait and how long should we wait for the dryer to be replaced? Maybe 6 month is not enough time for them.no one is following up on the issues and ive been on the phone almost everyday for 3 weeks to get resolve the issues. I will never ever recommend this company ever! If there are anyway, I wish I can also file a complains for my enery and time manner. Worst company ever!

Une dame bien sympathique vous donne r-v par dessus r-v avec des délais qui s’accumulent toujours et toujours depuis des mois sans que les problèmes ne soient réglés. Ce qui cause pour une famille de 5; absences du travail, dommage par écoulement d’eau, vacarme intense, impossibilité de l’utiliser. Une dame qui semble aussi sympathique vous répond par courriel mais vous demande à nouveau le problème alors que c’est les mêmes depuis des mois. On vous offre quoi: un r-v!
Il faudrait aussi selon la dernière visite des techniciens, que j’arrête d’utiliser ma laveuse jusqu’au prochain r-v … c’est merveilleux.
Mon produit; une laveuse speed queen de 3ans et demi.

Absolutely terrible customer service, they do not respond to emails or help with service requests for warrantable items. Do not buy any appliances that are linked to them as a service provider, it is not worth dealing with these people. Horribly run company, lots of head aches and time wasted on phone calls and emails that get you excuses and apologies. Its been over a year I still have three service intervention requests open for three different broken appliances. LOL

Lave-vaisselle neuf installations par un plombier. L'appareil ne démarre pas, j'appelle le service et on me dit qu'une personne me rappellera d'ici 48h pour fixer un rendez-vous donc 1 semaine minimum sans l'appareil neuf sorti de la boite. Service très ordinaire. Avoir su, mon choix aurait été une autre compagnie. Ne faites pas la même erreur.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They supplied kitchen appliances for our brand new condo in Toronto. Our cooktop was broken from day 1. It's been 3 weeks but still no cooktop.

Email response is very slow and unprofessional. I asked if there is any solution or compensation and manager literally said "No, we are not that level" LOL It sounds like they don't really care what the heck is going on with their customers.

Oh Distinctive, please don't reply saying send email to our blah blah blah because you guys don't reply emails and your response will be there is nothing we can do so just wait CAP

Distinctive online (along with TG Appliance, TM Appliance, and Tasco Appliances) have the absolute worst customer service, period.

They supplied/service major appliances at 1 Yorkville Ave, a brand new 58 storey building in downtown Toronto.

I reached out to them after facing a faulty motor issue with my Blomberg dishwasher, they said they had no spare motors (!) and will have to order it. I have asked them for an ETA several times but they simply ignored all of my emails for over three weeks now!

I know they won’t care about the people they’re supposed to service but perhaps other companies would avoid partnering with them because of that.

Terrible customer service. Months of calls and emails to get a representative to come and test under warranty appliance to then completely vanish and ghost us. Take your business elsewhere and pressure the brand 3 they support to drop them. Such companies should not exist.

Months of calls, emails and eventually a visit by a representative who recognizes the appliance does not work and we will hear back from them shortly. No news. Our family has been without proper cooking capacity for months and this company just extended the pains. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM. SUE IMMEDIATELY!

Bought a new oven that stopped working after 6 months and they refuse to honor the manufacturers warranty for it. Absolute disrespect and for the clients who are forced to use this terrible company.

Caveat Emptor:

I purchased a Cavavin wine cooler in 2012. It "died" this past summer. I had a service tech referred by Distinctive Appliances who attended on October 2, and for which I paid $90.00. Since then, I have had to chase after him to get any information pertaining to completion of service, call backs, and updates. The problem is that this guy told me he holds the "exclusive" service contract for the Toronto area. Awful service. Worse is that Distinctive doesn't have a supply of parts available for such problems, nor are they readily available. I was told I will have to wait up to twelve (!) weeks to take delivery. And this unit is only 7-years-old! I am now faced with replacing the cooler - can assuredly say it will not be a Cavavin or Distinctive-distributed product!

This company is the worse. I have been trying to contact them since three months ago to fix an issue with a dishwasher but no one ever answered me back. In the meantime, I contacted the manufacturer in the United-States and they solved my issue. Now I have DISTINCTIVE APPLIANCE calling me back today, (after my issue got solved directly by the manufacturer) to tell me that they cannot solve my issue. But it was solved, and they are only calling back 4 months later? Horrible customer service. They even said that "it was impossible that the manufacturer would solve my issue because they are in the United States". Is that how they represent their brands? They are rude, and arrogant and my biggest advice is STAY AWAY. If I could give them minus 10 stars, I would.

Since they are a distributor, I have also filed an official complaint to the manufacturer. Sending them my conversation so that they can see how their brands are being represented. Maybe that might put back their ego where it belongs.

I needed a part to repair my washer. I ordered the part via telephone from this company and they sent me the wrong part. It took three emails and 2 calls to reach someone who could help me and then it took them a week to get back to me but I was unavailable because I was travelling. I called them back but couldn't reach them so ended up leaving a voice mail. It's been 1 week since then and I still haven't heard back.

I ended up ordering the part online from Encompass, it arrived in 3 days. I would recommend this site instead if you need parts and stay away from here. This place has a terrible customer experience.

Also, notice that the scores are either 5 or 1? I suspect the company realizes the reviews are all bad so are asking employees to post reviews to bring up the score.

Very good and fast service. Requested a repair online and the agent reached to me in the next day. After sending the proof of purchase, the technician called me next business day and fix the issue within ten minutes! Recommended!
