Putting one star because I can or put 0, signed my mortgage in 2018 through Yannie who assured me that I had a fixed rate… well I did not! I only realized this by going to another broker as this was my first purchase with no knowledge.

May wife and I used Yannie's services when it came to buying our first home and she did not disappoint! With the market being as turbulent as it is right now, Yannie was nothing but professional and we really felt like she was on our side as we navigated the ups and downs of the market. Yannie was able to find us the best mortgage at a great rate but beyond that, we had the feeling that she genuinely cared about our happiness during the whole process and she went out of her way to go above and beyond for us. We cant say enough good things about Yannie and her team. Buying or selling, you'd be foolish to not give her a call.

Yannie is the our go to person for all the mortgage needs of our clients, whether it is the purchase of a new home, refinance a buy-out in a divorce, restructuring debt or a reverse mortgage. We have always had immediate and attentive service-what is even better is that she costs you nothing, she is paid by the financial institution only if she finds you what you need.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience. I had been trying to refinance my home for quite some time, I needed the equity in my home to help me settle bills that came after long medical issues. Yannie was sympathetic, caring, supportive, helpful, present, professional, and she gone it done so painlessly for me, I cannot thank her and her team enough. It has been a fantastic experience and I would recommend her to everyone I know and even those I do not. Thank You Yannie!

Our experience was not a good one. We were led to believe that we could not get mortgage insurance on the property and only one lender was willing to take our file which forced us to come up with a 20% down payment, otherwise we would lose our accepted offer on our condo. This created a stressful situation for us, as we had a limited timeframe to provide the seller with an accepted mortgage.

Due to the financial uncertainty that was created by the COVID-19 pandemic, we turned to Yannie for advice and she stated that our current situation cannot be changed. We decided to take matters into our own hands, and reached out to lenders and mortgage insurers on our own. The scenario above did not prove itself to be true. It turned out that the property is insurable and we were approved with less than a 20% down payment (and a better rate).

As most customers would, we reached out to Yannie about our findings, and expressed how we felt about her services. We did not get a reply. One month later I posted this review, and only then the dialogue we had opened up 1 month ago was deemed worthy of discussion. This review is not meant to be taken personally, only explaining our negative experience as customers in regards to her professional services. Mortgage brokers play a significant role in one of the biggest financial decisions people make, most of them new to this process like us and we do not feel like she had our best interest in mind or provided adequate service.

In summary, we do not recommend her service as a mortgage broker.
