If you plan to have dinner on New Year's Eve, ask first before waiting in line, if there are 5 people they will not give you a table and bad service

On était supposé rester juste pour prendre un verre et une soupe à l'oignon, mais on est resté pour la suite du repas en raison de l'ambiance, mais surtout à cause du charme et de la passion de la bairmaid Line qui y travaille depuis 18 ans! La chaudrée est définitivement dans les meilleures au Québec. Demandez le bar à l'entrée!

Cela fait plusieurs fois que nous allons diner au Pub D'Orsay et nous sommes toujours très satisfaits. Les plats sont très bons (merci au chef!) et nous sommes très bien reçus et servis: Merci Nancy!

This restaurant, renowned for its seafood, left us with mixed feelings. The mussels weren't well-cleaned, with sand present, and the sauce on them seemed insufficient and undercooked, missing the essence of white wine. On a brighter note, the seafood chowder and fries were amazing, a definite must-try. The paella was ok, though we've had better in Europe. The standout was the exceptional service—extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall, a good experience, but we'd consider returning specifically for the outstanding seafood chowder.

We went twice this week. Both times, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Accueil chaleureux et convivial. La viande était délicieusement tendre. Et le plat de champignons préparés par le chef excellent.

Love this place still as good 13 years after my first visit. Hernan was awesome especially when dealing with my poor French!

Hernan, our bartender, was most accommodating and helpful. Very friendly and comfortable place. Emma also gave us great recommendations for a jazz club-she should have her own pub tour! Thank you, Hernan and Emma for working with a smile on your faces! It’s refreshing to see people actually enjoy their work!

Best seafood paella we've had in a while! It was definitely more than enough for two big-appetite people. It came with lots of meat too so we were both impressed. The French onion soup was good, the escargot was meh but we were curious. The service was prompt and the place was cozy. Highly recommended!

The food was fantastic, and had a warm atmosphere and service. Picked it randomly for lunch. No regrets!

After talking to the hostess no reservations needed, but when we got there later on it was a half hour wait in the cold and when it was our turn we were ask for a reservation by the very same hostess. Food and drinks are good, but I had my plate reheated. Little chaotic setup.

Les meilleures moules à Québec…yes! Established in 1973, this pub has kept its charm and good food. However service could use some improvement. Aside from that, I still highly recommend visiting.

Excellent vibe, such a great service and reallly good food! The seafood is delicious and so are the entre’s. Their seafood chowder is indeed the best that we’ve tried in QC!

Just had two meals there in the space of one week. And both times they did not fail to impress. Both of my pasta choices were beyond my expectations. Simply delicious. If you’re there definitely try both the Boeuf Bourginon w/ parpadelle and the Fruites de Mer w/ fettuccine. This could very well become my go to in Quebec City. The service was amazing as well - above and beyond! Thank u so much

This place is great. The food is very good and the atmosphere is fantastic. My wife told me her bison burger was the best burger of her life. Also Line, the bartender, is very very good at her job.

Nancy est la meillure serveurse et tres gentille et amusante et nous avons beaucoup de plaisir et nous avons très bien manger.

Une ambiance parfaite, un service impéccable avec une équipe du tonnerre. Le César d’Orsay est incroyable. Nous y étions pour le lunch…. Et nous y sommes restés plus longtemps car nous nous y sentions bien à discuter avec chaque membre de l’équipe.sachez que le resto était quand même assez plein et ils ont pris le temps de jaser avec nous. Les ailes sont excellentes, le burger D’Orsay WOW! Et que dire du spaghetti… simple comme repas mais la sauce maison est incroyable.
Merci spécialement à Nancy et à Hernan. Chacun des membres de l’équipe ont une belle histoire!
Nous avons déjà hâte d’y retourner lors de notre prochain séjour à Québec

The service is really good and the food are very fresh! The decoration of this place is very pretty too! I really love the fact that they have non alcohol cocktail! It taste amazing and look amazing! I definitely recommend this place!

My wife and I absolutely loved this restaurant so much that we went to eat here 3 of the 6 days we were visiting Quebec from New York City. The dish that really drew us in was the Seafood Chowder. It is seriously the best seafood chowder I have ever had, and that also compares to Boston and Maine. We also had this fantastic Blood Mary with such a complete garnish of olives, onions, and beef jerky, that you could seriously eat it as a complete meal. The staff was super friendly and supportive. Nancy our waitress was so friendly, and even helped us out finding a local iceskating rink to go to later. Very COVID cautious too. We'll definitely go back again. Please visit and have a bowl of French Onion Soup too!

I have to say this is our worst experience in Quebec City during our trip. Food is great, loved everything ordered, plenty seafoods, loved the overall environment. The only reason giving two star is the server. We was not in the city during the day and came back for this restaurant, arrived at 7pm, and my bf has to find parking waited for half hour, ordered the food at 7: 30pm, ended up everything at 9: 30pm. Despite the wait time for the food, has to wait for the server to come every single time. Most of the time is waiting for her coz we couldn’t find her. Understand she is busy, but not pleasant to us, she complained we didn’t pay enough tip and want 15%, didn’t want to embarrass her and said it’s bcoz food is slow, yet she argued we came late and said we are CHEAP. Literally I didn’t want to pay any tip to her but the food was great overall. I believe tips are generous by customers and shouldn’t be challenged for giving less. Nvr been told CHEAP anywhere before, and always paid more than 15% for the good service but she doesn’t deserve that. Will still recommend the food but don’t expect better service than any other places in the city

Great food! But not so special like some other restaurants. Decent choice if you want some cozy chat and easy to read menu. The mussel was a bit smaller than ideal, but still tasted nice.

As D'Orsay is walking distance from our hotel, Le Chateau Frontenac, we had to try it! Ordered the Sirloin AAA Steak dinner. When arrived by our server, Charles, it was cooked to perfection - accompanied by fresh steamed veggies, pepper sauce on the side, and fresh fries. Charles was professionally calm, courteous, and attentive. I highly recommend to visit D'Orsay in Upper Town - Old Quebec City.

Bonne ambiance et service. Prix très correctes pour l'emplacement et une bonne selection nourriture et boisson.

Nous sommes allées chez D'Orsay pour boire un verre, l'accueil de Line a été tellement agréable que nous n'avions plus envie de partir.et tant mieux car les moules étaient délicieuse et la paella succulente.

L’ambiance et qualité de la nourriture rien à redire, c’était délicieux Par contre, nous avons été choqué par le service La dame souriante et dynamique, une chance qu’elle était présente pour balancer le service de son collègue qui a dû se lever du mauvais pied. Franchement, c’était malaisant … des remarques mal placées, pas de réponses de politesses à nos merci … On a eu l’impression de le déranger du début à la fin … il aurait été préférable qu'il reste derrière le bar et qu’il laisse sa collègue gérer si il n’avait pas envie. Bref, Nous avons quitté l’endroit contrariés … Expérience décevante

Host girl is not in a good mood. But we give 5 star only because our server, William. Yesterday was our last dinner in Quebec, he provided us the best service in our whole trip. Very friendly and very clearly explained the menu. He made our day. We will come back for him next time.

Great food! Great service! We had Piella for 2 and a pitcher of Sangria which made the perfect dinner! We loved tge atmosphere as well.

Great dinner experience and very friendly staff, moved us inside when it got cold and the food was just amazing- loved the onion soup but that’s very personal experience, also my braised beef and my wife’s seafood linguine were amazing, also recommend the house wine- thanks for having us

Le repas était bon, mais par contre le service…. 0 pointé… 30 minutes d’attente avant qu’on nous propose de l’eau ou de nous servir quelque chose à boire.et quand on a demander si on pouvait avoir du service on c’est fait rembarrer assez sèchement.
Le minimum c’est d’apporter de l’eau au moment où on s’assoit! C’est dommage.

Très bon service sympathique. Les frites sont excellentes. Le burger au sanglier, les moules moutardine, et le paella étaient tous excellent.

The food is good I had the fettuccine aux de mer, and is very good, but of you are hungry won't be enough.

Perla is good too, my kids have kid meal with spaghetti, juice and ice cream.

The service is first class, I was seated out side and the ambience very relaxed you can really enjoy your food.

I give it only 4 stars cause I fell the portions are a bit on the small side and the prices are little on the high side.

Even though I will come back if I am on Quebec again.

Mauvaise expérience avec le "barmaid très arrogant et imbu de lui-même", oublie de te demander verre de vin quel quantité tu veux, et te charge le plus cher naturellement, et quand j'ai vu les assiettes de mes voisins j'ai changé d'idée, prix - quantités très légère. Très déçu.

Would not get us seating even though there was seating available. We were visiting from Toronto. If you're visiting from out of town I would suggest other bars in the area.

Had to get there bcos that was only restaurant open on Christmas Eve! Had to wait in queue to get in! Din like the service much! The serving lady was not pleasant at all! The spaghetti and meatball pasta ordered was below average in taste! Won’t recommend it!

Good bistro. We were looking for a great burger and fry/poutine joint and stumbled across this place. Delicious burgers and excellent fries. We certainly should return here. Staff is friendly.

- then maybe staff should be trained to be courteous to non French speaking clients. It’s a shame that we were refused a place to seat when there were clearerly available spots.

I am here right now. The place is half empty. 30 minutes passed, still didn't get my cider. We had to walk for them first just to get the menu. I definitely not expecting to get my burger, but at least getting my cider would be nice. I could get some apples from the market bring them in and make a cider faster than this place.

I mistook this restaurant for another in the area, this place is wonderful and the menu is a good one. It was recommended by a nearby hotel manager, I am glad he did.

Notre expérience en famille (avec nos filles de 13 et 16 ans) a été extrêmement positive.
Nos quatre repas ont été selon nos attentes. Les portions généreuses. Les prix tout à fait raisonnables. Les pâtes au pesto.avec un peu trop de pesto. Pour le reste, tout était parfait.
Mais la palme revient vraiment à la qualité du service, et à la sympathie de tout le personnel.
Depuis l’accueil jusqu’au départ. Notre hôtesse a vraiment transformé notre repas en un moment de bonheur. Merci!

Neat little find. Really enjoyed eating here. Staff was friendly and food was delicious as well as the beer options. There's also a random slot machine area tucked away by the bathrooms.

So so experience at this restaurant. We were asked to sit in the gambling area across from a side bar inside. Awkward was one way to put it. Thank goodness a couple offered us their bar seats when they left so we could have a decent spot. Until that time, we had no service, drinks, or food. As if we were just forgotten. Truly abnormal.

Once at the bar though, things changes for the better. Service was comical and friendly. Bartender was well versed and communicative. Fun time with alcohol was had.

Food was mediocre at best. D'Orsay burger was subpar and lamb sandwich was gamey and tough to stomach. Kind of a bummer.

I'd probably come back here just for drinks, but try to find a better place to eat if that's what you are looking for.

Great restaurant in the old part of Quebec City. The restaurant is very nice and elegant.
Staffs are very friendly and motivated.
Food is amazing. Tasty. Original. And elegant.
I only give 4 stars as we waited for than 1 hour to get our main menu. Even the staffs were sorry for us. I was told that this situation was exceptional. I will change my rating next time I will go there.

Older pub with a variety of beers.food pretty good I was surprised. Ate at the bar and Diane was our barmaid, very nice and personable.

For many many years we would stay at a local resort but go to d'Orsay for dinner every night. It was what we enjoyed most of our vacation in the area of of the old city and day trips to Loupe' d riviere by ferry as a day trip or up hwy 351 to Chicoutimi etc. Ile' D'Orleans is a must see. Quebec is truly a distinct society that must be experienced. As far as the the menu that has been changed so much at our once favorite restaurant. We did have a nice meal but could see no reason to go back again. This was in relation to a menu 4 years ago that commanded we eat their every evening and wish it wasn't 800 miles from home. The service and staff are tres bon as always but the menu leaves us thinking we have done Quebec. Gone too often. Almost as fine as Le Beaujolais (Banff' wear a suit) A great dinner caps the day. Now we have to find a new favorite place in the east. Maybe time to go west again. Thanks for all the wonderful meals over the years. I wish you could give us a reason to anticipate the return. I can not be unkind in the ratings because of all the good times over the years. The menu does not welcome us back. If it works fro you, great. It doesn't leave us waiting for what to have tomorrow. It always had before. Do try the creme brolee desert. Salute.

Nourriture assez cher et pas très bonne.
Les burgers et la Poutine, bi n que bonne, sont assez sèche. Obligatoire de prendre de la sauce ketchup pour rendre le tout correct.
Je conseillerai le burger de saumon qui avait l’air pas mal.
Pareil pour les bière qui sont assez cher, ce qui est un comble pour un bar.

L’emplacement était pas top car les tables sont assez collé ce qui n’est pas des plus apprécié.

Le service était plutôt bon car rapide et chaleureux. On a pas attendu trop longtemps nos plats, ce qui fait passer la note de 2/5 à 3/5.
