Dre Melissa - At Home Pet Euthanasia

Can't thank Dre Melissa and her team enough for the care and kindness they gave our 15-year-old dog in her passing. It was a holiday weekend when she stopped eating and wasn't able to lift herself up anymore. From the moment we called Dre Melissa's office (my wife and I were in a panic as to what to do) we were treated with genuine compassion, offering immediate help to alleviate our dog's suffering. Being a Sunday and a holiday, it was difficult to accommodate our needs but they made sure we were not left on our own and came up with a solution to get our dog attended to right away. Our sweet dog (and us, as well) could not have been in better hands - not only with medical expertise but also with emotional caring. Highly recommended.

If you are unfortunate enough to need this service, don't waste time looking anywhere else. Dre Melissa and Dan are the most empathetic and kind people we spoke to. It is really a priceless service that they offer.

I called at 10PM and Dr Melissa still took the call and spent time out of her evening to help my little Snoopy. Her compassionate demeanor coupled with her expertise made this stressful situation manageable. Incredibly thankful for her and her team. Highly recommend.

I could not praise Dr Melissa and Dan enough. They were incredibly compassionate, kind, reassuring, and respectful. They made our Pixie’s last moments so peaceful. They helped make this heartbreaking moment bearable for us, being able to say goodbye to our beloved Pixie in our home, with her comfortable on her dog bed, surrounded by love. I highly recommend choosing Dr Melissa for this difficult decision. Like she says, the goodbye has to happen anyway, therefore it should happen as peacefully and lovingly as possible. I had a really good experience with Dre Melissa. She is understanding, compassionate and patient, giving you the time and space you need to say goodbye to your loved pet in the privacy of your home.

This was my first experience with home euthanasia and I was amazed by how much calmer and less upset I felt than when I went through the same process in a clinic.

I found the experience both straightforward and peaceful. And Dre Melissa’s presence was both comforting and discreet.

A couple of days ago I needed the services of Dre. Melissa for my beloved companion cat of 17 years. Her health and mental state were collapsing astonishingly quickly, and I knew any further delay would serve only to make her suffer more.

Dre. Melissa was able to provide her services the same day. She provided a calm, matter-of-fact and respectful service. She pointed out some conditions Marigold was experiencing that I had not noticed, and indicated that it was unlikely that any treatment would be realistically beneficial at this stage.

Beyond that, she made no attempt to persuade me one way or another, and allowed me to make the final decision.

The procedure itself was calm, gentle and peaceful, and I am convinced that Marigold finally enjoyed several minutes of painless and stressless peace before the lethal injection was administered.

Euthanizing a companion animal is a sad but necessary thing when the circumstances warrant. It may on the surface seem a bit macabre that someone specializes in providing that service, but it became clear to me that doing so is actually evidence of the highest degree of care and concern for the well-being of companion animals.

It is of course somewhat more expensive to have a pet euthanized at home, but compared with the trauma of transporting a sick animal to a location where it is done and I have experienced that, it's more than worth the extra. It's so valuable to have the last minutes of the animal's life be as stress-free, pain free and peaceful.

I cannot recommend highly enough the value of having the procedure done at home, and I can't imagine anyone being able to provide better than Dre. Melissa. Thank you,

Dre. Melissa went above and beyond. My twelve year old Goldador was experiencing neurological symptoms and his health suddenly declined. Even though it was after hours Dre. Melissa made herself available. Dre. Melissa and her team were helpful and compassionate during a very difficult time.

We called Dr. Choucroun to euthanize our beloved cat, Donna. Melissa was professional, kind and empathetic. We appreciated very much that she offered this service at our home, as one more trip to the vet wasn't what anyone involved wanted.

Dr. Melissa euthanized our poor little puppy. Dr.was so sweet and facilitated the saddening process. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to go through with this sad situation
