Needs a little more flavor and spicy

Worst service ever, i don't usually write review but i just felt the need! The lady taking the order on the phone was one of the rudest people i ever spoke to in the food industry! Slammed the phone down on the counter when i asked her the price so i can bring the right amount, she told me no ill give u the amount when u come, i dont have it now, like what? Just could not be bothered! That's just one thing! Never will i ever order from here

Had the lamb and coriander, as well as the beef curry dumplings. They were both tasteless, and they just give you soy sauce with them which didn't help. Had to drown them in the chili oil I had at home to make them passable.

I'm addicted! That sweet general tao is literally the best in the west. My only complaint is that they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.it seems my cravings kick in then but everyone needs a break!

Absolutely LOVE the General Tao! One of the best I ate so far. It is fresh and crispy. The amount is generous.

The crispy chicken survived the travel time and it is rarely the case for the General Tao in take out.
(Generally with other General Tao they arrive soggy and not crispy.)
It is not the case with this one. Stayed crisp and yummy.

Suggestion for the menu:
1-Would love the option to have some Chinese Broccoli Stir Fry on the menu.
2- Would love the option to make the general tao spicy. That will be even nicer.

We got Shrimp Dim Sum, pork and cabbage dumplings, veggie dumplings, wonton soup, and edamame. I like the owners of this place but they are a bit stingy and not business savvy. We had to ask to get chili oil and were brought a very tiny amount. Isn't chili oil like a standard in dumpling places? The soy sauce felt like it lacked salt (how is that even possible). These are cheap ingredients that better the experience of the customer and the owners should understand that being cheap about this really leaves a bad taste (sometimes literally).

For the food, the wonton soup was reasonably good, the edamame were brought nice and warm, and the shrimp dim sum were stuffed well (though the shrimp was not chopped and there was too much dough). But the pork and veggie dumplings were really bad. The the pork dumplings lacked fat or flavor. The veggie dumplings were under seasoned. This was really quite disappointing; when I'm craving dumplings, I expect a sumptuous umami filled bite. Also, there are in total three pork dumplings, where the pork and leek dumpling has to come with shrimp. I don't get why the pork and cabbage dumpling can't instead be pork and coriander or pork and leeks. They are rigid about this and the choices are limited. Overall, sad to say a no no for me for future dumpling cravings. Three stars includes one star because I like the elderly couple who run the place.

Update your business hours if you are going to be closing for 3 weeks. You are making people travel for nothing, totally unrepecful.

Never have seen a dumpling restaurant charged for their sauce. Plus the dumplings are HORRIBLE: dry, tasteless, not fresh, too much ginger…

I have never eaten such dry dumplings. It really has no taste at all. I wasted my money and time. I threw all the dumplings into the trash can.

While the "special" dumplings, like Har Kaw, Xiao Long Bao and Siu Mai were presented nicely, they are a bit expensive, about 8$ for 5 pieces. The more "regular" dumplings where you pick your own fillings are cheaper, around 11$ for 10 pieces. I do enjoy the fact that they offer steamed and pan fried for the same price unlike some other dumpling places. The amount of fillings is decent and the flavours are average. Their homemade sauce is a bit lacking in flavours and doesn't enhance the flavours of the dumplings. Their chili sauce of the other hand was tasty. A bit less spicy than a lot of other ones, but still decent in flavours. My favourite ones were the Siu Mai and Har Kaw that were flavourful. In contrast, the Xiao Long Bao was a bit dry and bland. The regular dumplings were also soupy so I didn't understand why the one called steamed juicy dumplings in their menu was the one that was dry.

The dumplings are tasted in the average level. The owner told me the skin of the dumplings are handmade, they are. It's quite a good quality in this area. The bubble tea is not very special. Overall, prices are good.

This is my go to restaurant for General Tao, Shanghai noodles and absolutely delicious dumplings. Helen and Jerry are welcoming and know how to make a meal to remember. Their food is fresh and very tasty. Love it!

This is probably my favourite restaurant at the moment. The food is just incredible, I have never had any complaints about any of it and everytime we go to eat here i leave the restaurant bursting out of my pants because i cannot help but to eat too much. The lady who I've had at the counter everytime is also extremely nice, despite our indecisiveness when ordering. Also they have really really good bubble tea!

I ordered general tao and Kung Pao chicken combos and they were absolutely delicious! Totally exceeded expectations and the portions couldn't be more perfect! High recommend ordering from here!

I like this place! They prepare tasty dishes, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is very experienced, I like a lot trying all their food. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the service towards the visitors is friendly. I visit often this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.

What with these guys on here? I’ve tried all the dumpling places in a 5 mile radius and these guys really are the king. Super sweet people and the kung pao is awesome Legit food.

Definitely not the king, but good dumplings, service was super fast! Prices reasonable too. My pregnant friend and I ordered a ton of food. But they brought out the main before the apps! If you're cruising for dumplings, try it.

FINALLY a good Chinese restaurant in the West Island. The general Tao is amazing, perfectly crispy and light on the sauce, maybe a little too light. Beef and coriander pan fried dumplings with homemade sauce were delicious. Veggie fried rice was very good. Popcorn chicken was not very good, not very crispy and weird seasoning which is surprising since the general Tao is so good. The couple that own it are very sweet. This is definitely the place I’ll order in the future. Only other mention is I wish they had a few more veggie options for my wife.

We decided to try this newish dumpling place out that was close by to home. WOW, were we pleasantly astounded by the taste and freshness of EVERYTHING we tried. Amazing flavors with a super friendly staff. So glad we took the chance. Our place for authentic fine Chinese cuisine at VERY reasonable prices. If you are questioning if you should give them a try, just go, you will be a forever customer like us.

Wow what a find! I have been looking for a Xiao Long Bao place for years, I am so happy to have one in the west island. All the dumplings, soups and dishes I have tried were awesome. It is super authentic and the owners are super friendly. My 5 year old daughter actually noticed the quality of the service and how nice these people are. She has never mentioned anything like this before in any restaurant we have ever been to. Go pay them a visit, you will not regret!

Very good homemade wonton soup and dumplings! The restaurant was clean and well decorated, the owner is very kind and the service was fast. I highly recommand it!

New restaurant offers a varriety of hand-made dumplings, while also offering trsiditional Chinese dishes, like General Tao chicken, chicken fried rice or Shanghai style noodles. Their hot & sour soup dumpling and wonton soup is very fresh and so delicious!
