J'ai demandé s'il possédait des jeux wii U usagés et le vendeur a ris de moi en plein visage en me regardant de haut.en me disant que maintenant c'était nintendo switch.hautain et prétentieux! Jamais je n'irai dans ce gamestop. JE DÉCONSEILLE ABSOLUMENT!

Un téléphone inexistant en plus en arrogant aux téléphones je vais lui régler son problème vendredi.

J’ai acquéri une manette en solde.
Le boite était en présentoir à la caisse et on m’a dit que c’était la dernière de la couleur que j’ai choisi.
L’employé procède ensuite à l’arrière pour chercher la manette pour la mettre dans la boite, je paye. Rendue chez moi, je me rend compte qu’il a mis le mauvais fil pour charger la manette dans la boite. >_<

Went in to buy two $50 steam cards and was told I could only buy one since they have a limit of $100 steam cards sold per hour per store. What kind of policy is that? I’ll buy it directly from Steam just like I buy everything now, digitally.

J'ai acheté une première fois une manette Xbox pour mon PC puis échangé contre une de PS4 puis ré-échangé par celle de Xbox, car ça ne fonctionnait pas. Le personnel du magasin m'ont à chaque fois fait l'échange très gentiment et ce, malgré qu'ils m'avaient prévenu que la manette de PS4 ne fonctionnait pas en général. Personnel très sympathique qui reste modeste et humble même quand ils ont raison et qu'un "Je vous l'avais dit" aurait été fair-play. Je recommande!

Je connais le magasin depuis quelque années, mais l'année 2021-2022 a été. Une Anne différé tes autres et je suis devenue un client plus acrift par plusieurs achat et visites régulières. Le service a la clientèle autant par téléphone que sur place était très satisfaisant et j'ai très doucement été servis par un employé du nom de Jèremie que je remercie. Pour sa patience et son professionnalisme, j'ai particulièrement apprécié la qualité de son service et le fait qu'il ait pris le temps de mon mentret et de m'expliquer les différents accesoir dont j'avais besoins car j'ai certaines difficultés visuels

Very disappointed. Went directly to this location looking for a newly released game. Saw it on the shelf and waited a while in line while employees were not servicing customers. Eventually was told the game we came in for was out of stock. I asked that they take the packaging off the shelves if it was out of stock because we just wasted our time in line. Was dismissed and told we could have just asked instead of waiting in line. We didn't see the point in asking someone if we figured they had it, seeing as it was on the shelf. No employees were on the sales floor to ask however, and the assumption should be that if the case is on the shelf, you have it. Wanted to support an actual game store, but we'll take our business online instead.

Magasin sale avec des cartons qui traine sur le sol les déplacement dans le magasin sont difficile il font des mise de coté de produit pour eux ce qui entraine un manque pour les clients donc j'ai demander a parler au gérant Eric ce présente comme tél, c'est quelqu'un de très arrogant pas du tout professionnel très sur de lui il n'écoute que lui même je lui pose des questions concernant une réservation faite par mon fils en ligne je voulez récupérer le produit en magasin pour lui et il est sur son téléphone et discute avec un autre employé il me répond qu'il n peux pas me donner l'item car c'est pas moi qui est faite la commande je lui dit que c'est mon fils mais rien a faire il veux rien savoir donc obligé de refaire le voyage et revenir avec mon fils pour pickup le produit je déconseille fortement ce magasin et surtout éviter Eric le gérant vous perdrai votre temps avec son incompétence au plaisir de ne plus jamais faire affaire avec vous.

My favorite gamestops. Great customer service, friendly staff and very enthusiastic supervisor. During my last visit it was during the release date of Pokemon Arceus. The supervisor manage the pre-release line amazingly, keeping people in line check and prioritize the reservation customers. Great place to drop by and looks for amazing game.

Demandez et ils se feront un plaisir de vous aider, il y a un jeune homme qui comprend l'espagnol, pour les latinos qui ne parlent pas beaucoup le français.

Je déconseille fortement de commander en ligne chez eux (et même en boutique par principe de facto). Ils ne sont pas capable de livrer un simple jeu en quelques jours, plus d'une semaine que j'attends et le statut demeure le même, à savoir en confirmé et il ne répondent pas non plus aux questions posées par leurs clients par mail. Par contre pour prélever l'argent et débiter dès le 1er jour y a du monde! Voir encore cela en 2021 ça fait peur et ils ne méritent que de couler.

About a year ago, I asked for Mario Kart 8 to be put on the side so I could pick it up the same day. But when I came to pick up, apparently my name wasn't the right one. The second time, i asked for Cooking Mama to be put on the side, but this time they put My universe: Restaurant Cooking Star on the side and I could see another customer get out of the store with Cooking Mama in his hand. Every other ebgames is better than this one. Wouldnt recommend mcgill to anyone.

Reserved a game new, online and came pick it up. The shop is pretty small but the library of games is quite decent. A good place to buy toys and collectibles.

Je ne suis pas habitué à laisser des commentaires à des magasins cependant le service qui m'a été offert par Jérémy a été exceptionnel. La façon comment il avait le control dans le magasin me donnait l'impression qu'il était le gérant malgré son jeune âge. Il a été très patient avec moi, m'expliquant en détail ce que couvrait la garantie sur les accessoires et ce que je devrais faire attention quand j'utilise ma manette de PS5. Dès que je suis entré dans le magasin, j'ai senti son aura accueuillant et sa belle humeur très contagieuse. Ce fût ma meilleure expérience à un EB Games de ma vie.

Il faut faire la file pour pouvoir rentrer (règles sanitaires oblige) et ça peut prendre beaucoup de temps. Mais l'employé présent ce jour là était chaleureux, professionnel et passionné.
La boutique peut paraître petite mais on trouve tout ce qu'il faut.

J'ai acheté une PS4 d'occasion et des jeux. Les vendeurs étaient excellents, très bien renseignés et très bienveillants malgré le fait que je m'y connaissais pas vraiment. Je recommande fortement si vous avez des questions et ils ont des très bon deals.

Très insistant sur la vente, le vendeur a voulu forcer la vente plusieurs fois malgré mes refus et m’a fait le culpabiliser parce que je n’avais pas accepté d’acheter son produit complémentaire.

Pas de sac pour transporter malgré une dépense de plusieurs centaines de dollars

The staff here do a great job with Covid-related crowd control. Braden and the manager Eric were of great help, answering questions, and making suggestions based on the information I gave them about gifts for multiple people. A+ service and sales, making me feel like a valued customer. Would go out of my way to buy here again, specifically from Braden and Eric. Cheers.

One of the sales man was very nice and patient BUT being in line for the cash was hell. The girl at the cash was very slow ans inefficient. When you see the line is starting to being long you have to spead and Not have a friendly convo with the customer. Your job is to be fast and adequate. Its not normal i had to wait so looooonnnngggg in line for 1 item that o want to pay. Be fast next time

Attente trop longue. 25 minutes (sans exageration) entre le moment ou j'arrive face au magasin et le moment ou je repart avec un jeu que j'avais déjà en tête. Il y avait juste 2 clients avant moi. En bonus on me propose 3$ pour reprendre un jeu d'il y a un an. Je suis d'accord il n'en vaut pas plus de 15$ mais 3$ c'est limite une donation. Je recommande pas.

A good place to buy video games and video game merchandise. Staff is nice and the store has a killer layout despite being so small.
They seem to be the fairest when it comes to buy back even though they still don't give you a lot. I suggest going when they have special deals because you can get 30% more money back for a recycled game. You can ask for cash or store credit but they will give you more in store credit. Which shouldn't be a problem because it lasts forever and applies on everything. The points program seems a bit off. I have yet to redeem anything with it. As a member you do get 10% more off recycled games though. Which can come in handy because video games are expensive these days.
You also get a whole week to try it out and if you don't like it, you can get an exchange. They won't do returns on recycled merchandise or opened merchandise.

Overall, a good store. The prices are up to par with everywhere else. But if you are planning on buying lots of games, go here. You will get more benefits in the long run.

Reserves a game new, online. Arrived at the store and it was already opened, with a sticked on the case. I realized, saying I order one new, ad the guy tossed the game to other side of the counter and left. Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. It's like dealing with a seedy used car salesman going here. Definitely a place to avoid as much as possible.

Staff sympa mais quand un client vient pour acheter un jeu neuf, le client s’attend à ce que le jeu soit encore scellé dans le plastique d’origine.

J’ai posé la question parce que la pochette à l’air usée (puisque sans plastique) et on me répond que c’est rien et que ça doit être à cause du sticker? !? !

Plusieurs choses:
- soit le jeu est neuf et vous voulez vérifier que le jeu est bien dedans. Mais un jeu sous scellé, il n’y a aucune raison que le jeu ne soit pas dedans
- soit le jeu est neuf et vous êtes animés d’une incontrôlable envie de déballer les jeux. Dans ce cas c’est de l’ordre du trouble obsessionnel compulsif qui relève de la médecine
- soit le jeu n’est pas vraiment neuf et là ça relève de l’escroquerie

Et après ça va se plaindre que les gens commandent sur Amazon. Respectez les clients les gars.

It's an EB Games, only most of the employees are unhelpful and/or rude. A lot of the things they say are EB policy are completely different from every other EB I've gone to.

Also, they're terrible at line control, I've stood in line for 10+ minutes at times and left without being served, or have seen lines get so big that security comes and tells them to control it all.

UPDATE:
So, I've continued shopping here since it's the closest EB Games to my work and recently it's been even worse. The cashiers talk up policies and deals way too much, even for items like "Funko Pops", offering protective cases and pre-orders, then talking about how pre-orders for Funko Pops offer points on your Edge Card. Do you have an Edge Card? Would you like an Edge Card?

There's always an employee walking around aimlessly asking people if they need help with anything or offering to take stuff to the cash for them. Some how while doing this recently, this employee missed someone obviously shop lift a 'Call of Duty' hat, even when people pointed it out to him. Then the manager came out, after being repeatedly asked to come out, and when he did he just stood there with his mouth wide shaking his head.

BLACK FRIDAY:
There's been a continuous line of about 40-50 people all day.

This EB Games is just slow and quite bad, if you can go elsewhere then do so! There's a Best Buy up the street.

This is now a toy/collectible/t-shirt store that also sells some video games.

Le staf est vraiment gentil et cool, ce qui donne envie dit retournée, petit mais accueillant et malgré sa taille vous y trouverez tout ce qui vous faut concernant les jeux vidéo

The young woman who welcomed us to the store was very helpful. However the purchase experience of a new Ring Fit left me suspicious as to whether this was really a new working Ring Fit; the combination of the pushy insurance and hostile reaction to me opening the box in store to check it was ok. So instead of being excited at playing a new game, I was worried. Looking back, I would have probably had a better experience buying at Best Buy.

Nice place to buy games and consoles. Staff very friendly. YOU WILL FIND THE STORE INSIDE OF THE CENTRE EATON MONTREAL IN UNDERGROUND FLOOR.

Store is ok, it’s nothing special. I usually find my games to be cheaper than here and they don’t even price match. Many times I come it’s either packed, or there’s a lineup outside to pay. It also doesn’t help that the store is small, which means in big days like Black Friday it’s very cramped.

J'ai été pour acheter une nintendo switch lite usagé vue en rabais. La vendeuse vient me voir, je lui pose des questions sur les consoles (par rapport au Joy-con, la différence entre la Switch et la Lite). L'échange à été difficile et je sentais qu'elle ne s'y connaissait pas trop. J'ai demandé la Switch Lite Usagé, elle va voir en arrière, elle me dit qu'il n'y en a pas. Mais qu'ils ont la jaune. Je dis que c'est celle que je veux acheter, la jaune. Elle me dit ok, elle sort une Switch de sous sa caisse. (J'ai pas vue le produit car elle le mettait dans le tirroir sous sa caisse, je comprends que c'est pour le vol à l'étalage). Elle me vend un screenguard, me montre les modèles, ok. Une garantie, ok. Je paie et je m'en vais. Plus tard, je réalise que la Switch que j'ai acheté à un collant rouge et non vert (rabais). Et j'ai été facturé pour une Switch neuve. Si je choisis de prendre une console en spécial, c'est pour une raison précise. Il serait bien de vous assurer que vous donner le bon produit à vos clients, en lui montrant avant de payer. De plus, si les échanges en français sont difficiles, il est possible de demander de l'aide à ces collègues.ou de s'exprimer en anglais à la limite. Je sais pas. Je trouve que c'est un mauvais service en général. De plus, deux gars sont entrés en même temps que moi et celui qui avait un pre-order sur un produit c'est fâché car on l'envoyait au Carrefour Anjou parce que le magasin n'avait pas son produit alors il devait se déplacer lui-même pour chercher son produit dans les autres magasins EB games. Voyons donc.c't'assez ordinaire.

I like their t-shirts. When there's some new release that people were waiting for a line might form. You can make reservations, and ask to be in waiting lists for games.

I was encouraged to buy a second hand smash bros. Turns out it not smash bros. It's another games all together. When I try to returns the games the next day, they told me that this time it's ok! But I can't do it again next time. Insinuating that it I am the one who CHEAT! TERRIBLE POLICY! The first and last time I am buying from EB games.

Tiny store but good enough if they aren't too busy. Staff just gave generic answers to questions, prioritizing sales over accuracy.

I was behind only 4 people to pay and somehow waited 20 mins

Boggles my mind how a store has only one cash open while 3 other workers are either stocking shelves or doing absolutely nothing

Worse still the only cashier kept helping the other workers with other issues slowing the process even further

Store also had no bags to carry items either so if you're buying anything be prepared to carry them bare handed

I rarely leave these kinds of reviews but I've never seen service this slow for a store with the amount of staff that was on hand

Le EBGames où il y'a le plus de clients à Montréal, il y a donc parfois du monde. Cependant, les équipes font toujours au mieux pour gérer efficacement la foule, tout en restant professionnel et serviable.
J'y passe souvent pour prendre des jeux, il y a même de temps en temps des éditions limités en promotions! ^^

Magasin agréable, bien aménagé, vendeurs toujours sympathiques mais leurs pratiques commerciales sont à la limite de l'acceptable (la direction doit donner des consignes de ventes forcées). En plus de difficilement accepter notre droit de rétractation (carte eb games platine) à chaque visite les vendeurs essaient de vous vendre (soutirer) un maximum de produits (argent).

One employee in particular, at the cash, was extremely rude. I was simply asking a question about your affiliation with GameStop. That was my question.supposedly he had been previously asked a number of times about a fortnite code given out by the US GameStop. Fine your annoyed by the customers prior to me BUT there was no reason to be upset and snap back at me. This continued for a good 20s. For this reason I will not be coming back. There are other stores that sell games. Ebgames is not the only one.

Good store but customer service is always trash. At first, this [new] employee refused to refund me on an product that wasn't even opened and that i barely purchased 2 weeks ago. Then, made claims that my purchase was 'suspicious' because I purchased 2 headsets the same day and decided not to keep one.

I literally had to make him read the law under the receipt to make him understand I'm eligible for a full refund and not on a store credit. After 10 minutes, he finally understood what to do. Ridiculous.

The first two games I brought to the counter they could not find the discs. Finally they found a disk for a similar game and sold me that but it was just the game disc so I could not even install it. When I went back to return it less than a week later first the told me "it's like if you take a bite out of your hamburer and then try to return it" and then they said they couldn't take the return because I didn't have the receipt. Also the games are super overpriced, find a local used game store instead

C'est un EB Games normal. Cependant, il peut y avoir beaucoup de personnes à l'heure du midi et vers la fin se journée (fin de semaine)
