Ecocentre LaSalle

Many types of waste can be dropped there. Staff is very helpful and kind. I have heard there could be queues but never had to wait while coming (in the weekend mostly). Like for other ecocentres, be prepared to handle an ID card. Overall layout make it easy to dispose your waste. Access - close to highway 20 - is also very convenient.

Almost any kind of household waste especially wood and bricks from renovations to old mattresses etc. Absolutely no need to dump.items in unsightly places.

Everything is marked, they direct you to the appropriate bins and there is always someone available around the bins. It really couldn't be any easier.

Watch out for roofing nails! Got a flat on one of my last visits which could not be fixed so 2 new tires made for an expensive trip. When I mentioned this to an employee, he said cleaning up is the clients’ responsibility. When nobody is looking, contractors dump stuff everywhere. Also, there should be 2 lines: one for citizens dropping off personal items for free (this takes about 30 seconds at the gate) and another for contractors who dump renovation materials for a fee (for some reason, this averages 10-15 minutes per contractor at the gate!). Line-ups for private individuals should be minimal to encourage recycling.

Staff are cool but the people who come here are trailer trash Quebecois cocksukas, almost got into a fight twice. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.

Convenient location, helpful staff, well organized areas makes for quick visits. Essential to have an accessible area to discard dangerous products, and this place does the job.

Good place to dump your junk stuff for free. It's best not to show up at opening time (busier).

I go there whenever I have recycling collected that can not go into the bin. They are always helpful and friendly. There are different spots for all types if building materials, metals, electronics, #6 Styrofoam and plastics, paints, oils, solvents, lightbulbs that need to be recycled, etc. It is easy to get to so I don't understand why people can't just bring their stuff there instead of leaving it on the street. The hours are great too. I am grateful that LaSalle has such a place. On top of that it's FREE. What more can you ask for!

Not super impressed with this place. All the labeled bays seem arbitrary (no signs or labels for specific kinds of recycling) I was told 8 is for cardboard and 9 is for plastic, but they both contained the same mix of stuff.

Polystyrène and electronics are also accepted here. Wait time is quite long (30mins) if you come in the morning

There was a small line up before registration. Very smooth run. Very well organized. Good to have the ecocentre in this location.

Longue file d’attente. 90 minutes entre St Patrick et la guérite d’accueil. Avoir su, j’aurais amené des vivres. Ça devrait toujours être ouvert le dimanche, pas juste le samedi.

Read reviews about impossible wait times and staffing issues, showed up this morning 9am Saturday, kind and courteous manager at the gate, let me right in, dumped off a pile of broken Ikea furniture and a monster CRT tv set, took all but 15 min drop off included! 5 star no joke

Aujourd'hui, notre expérience a été désastreuse! Le monsieur de la guérite d'accueil nous a ENGUEULÉS parce que nous sommes arrivés à 17h54 pour déposer du bois et des branches. Il refusait d'ouvrir les barrières. Finalement il a ouvert la barrière et a refusé de nous indiquer le container où déverser le bois. Nous avons dû le chercher par nous-mêmes! Un comportement déplorable.

The wait time to drop off your recyclables is a put off. I'll reconsider my options next time I have some old electronic equipment to dispose of.

Arrivé sur place a l'ecocentre Lasalle a15h45, après 15 minutes d'attente, je me suis fait retourner parce qu'il n'y avait plus de place comme plusieurs autres après moi. C'était ma deuxième tentative. Après il vont s'étonner qu'il y est des dépôts soit disant sauvage. Quand la ville va t-elle agir?

Want to experience Soviet service under Stalin? Then this city-run establishment is the place for you. The workers' attitude is so lazy, condescending and unhelpful that the biggest signs you see ask that there be no "verbal violence" towards the employees. The City should overhaul the management of this important public service but I am not holding out much hope.

1 gate (entrance) and 10 am opening prouduces huge, huge lineups and wait times. Poor structire and organisation does not encourage eco friendly.

Terribles files d'attente.heures d'ouverture d'hiver à cause de covid19? Canadian tire et autres commerces ouvrent t'ils avec des heures d'hiver eux? Tout le mode rénove de ces temps ci à cause de leur confinement alors pourquoi cet entonnoir d'étranglement pour aller porter nos déchets

J ai fait la file pendant plus d une heure pour jeter des pneus et a la fin on m a dit qu'on accepte pas de pneus parceque le conteneur est plain

Très mal organisés. Fil d'attente jusqu'à la rue saint Patrick a brûlé du gaz. Car pas tout le monde qui coupe leurs moteur. Mais seulement 3 voitures sur le site. Ha oui il vont dire qu'il manque de personnel

I called at 15: 45 and they told me that they were closing at 16: 00 instread of 18: 00 due to full bins? Rude staff, totally don't care about citizen, aknowledge that they early close most of the time.
Sadly, this place used to be a top notch service to the population

Good place to drop off scrap and hazardous household waste, but they require a proof of residence (understandable for a free municipal service) but they can be picky about what ID they'll accept and they tend to be nosy (they'll look at you funny for bringing in large quantities of certain items).

You're limited to either 12 carloads or 6 vanloads for stuff, so if you want to drop off stuff that's either too small to be worth the trip or too large for them to accept, you're going to Century Steel for scrap metal or an electronics store that does recycling for electronics junk.
