Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

This was an excellent stay, it seems your staff take pride in their job. The rooms were immaculate. It would have been nice to have bottled water, and the breakfast was nothing special. Hard boiled eggs and a toaster, some muffins and yogurt. But for an inexpensive place to stay, this was awesome! Staff spoke English very well.

AC fan very noisy. Difficult to sleep. No night lamps so couldn't read in bed. Breakfast was a bust. No one started the machines so no coffee, tea, eggs, toast, milk. Just overripe bananas, dry cereal and yogurt. Quite disappointing as this had not happened during previous stay.

When we arrived we found the room to be dirty and the bed to be stained and covered in hair. I requested at the front desk to have the beds remade and was informed that there was no housekeeping and just given a new top sheet for the bed. I was told I could change the top sheet of the duvet myself. It seemed dirty and traveling with a newborn and child we didn’t trust the cleanliness and decided to go to a new hotel.

Right off the highway great place to stop for the night driving out to the maritimes. Bed was comfy but 4 star comfy not 5 star. The kids loved the pool.

My husband and I stopped there for one night on the way to the maritimes. The room was clean and newly renovated, the free breakfast was simple, yet convenient, and overall a pleasant stay.

Just off the highway, great place to stop for the night, rooms are huge and very clean!

I stayed here last night with my husband, baby and two dogs. We just wanted a clean room to sleep the night to break up a very long drive. We checked in around 6, and the floors were wet, I assume from mopping? But when I wiped them with paper, it was brown water. They were still so dirty my baby’s pjs were black on the knees and feet from crawling around in filthy floors. There were about 20 flies in the room, landing on us while we tried to rest, so we spent about an hour trying to kill them all. The room was also very warm, I checked the thermostat and it was blowing hot air. It was about 27 degrees outside and they had the thermostat set to heating. It took a long time to cool the room. All of that would be been fine, but as of 8pm whoever was in the room upstairs started banging for HOURS on end. We could not sleep. Our dogs were scared. It woke our baby up. My husband emailed front desk with no response (we didn’t want to call because the baby was still asleep at that point). They only quieted down well after midnight. It was a miserable experience, especially considering we were charged an extra 50$ for our dogs on top of the room price. We stayed less than 12 hours, no one had a good night rest and we are out about 250$. When I returned my keys this morning staff didn’t even lift their head to acknowledge me. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Rooms have been renovated since the last time we stayed. Mattresses have not been changed though as showing wear, lumpy. Staff not vey accommodating when requesting specific rooms ie adjoining rooms when falilies book two rooms. We stayed at the Days inn and they definitely were accommodating in this manner. We arrived early and if an effort was made to go not the computer it could easily been done. But as they say you get what you pay for… GO TO THE DAYS INN IN TOWN, 15 seconds further down the road.
You gave us two end of the hall rooms, you couldn’t get us any farther. Thanks for trying to keep us close.

Trèsbon rapport qualité/ prix. Personnel courtois et avenant, les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et confortables. Le p’tit déjeuner continental comprend une belle variété. Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour et n’hésitons pas à recommander cet hôtel.

Very neat and clean, unexpectedly spacious rooms.we were on our way to NB so location was great was us as we were travelling from ontario.right next to highway which made it easier.

Staff were super nice and got us set up 2 rooms side by side Beds were firm but everything is so clean. Had a nice outdoor pool and a St Hubert Express attached.would stay there again

Very nice hotel. Friendly bilingual staff. Easy to find off the highway. Breakfast was nice. The St-Hubert Express attached is an added bonus!

We've stayed at this particular Econo Lodge (Montmagny, Quebec) a couple of times.   The location is great with quick access on/off the highway.   We prefer the main floor to take advantage of the drive up access to the room (small fee applicable).   The room is clean, the bath is clean/updated, and the bed is comfy.   It's reasonably priced with a continental breakfast included, a well stocked vending machine in the lobby (which also dispenses sparking wine), and a St. Hubert restaurant next door.   Can't go wrong for the value.

We had a really nice stay at the Econo Lodge. Montmagny was our home base for a few days, so we were very happy that the room was comfortable and clean. We were in room 135 at the back of the property by the pool, and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was fine, no hot foods that we saw, but they had muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs etc. The staff were friendly- although we do speak some French, the front desk staff were bilingual which is a plus! If you go into Montmagny itself, there are restaurants and grocery stores, so the town is well equipped. We definitely recommend the Econo Lodge in Montmagny!

L'établissement correspond exactement à ce que j'attendais d'un hôtel trois étoiles. Le déjeuner inclus et la machine à café sont appréciés. La chambre fût bien préparée et équipée convenablement. La salle de bain est propre et bien rénovée. Plancher et tuiles ; pas de tapis dans la chambre. Située proche de l'autoroute 20, l'emplacement est idéal pour les voyages.

We stated at this hotel as a stopover on way back to Ontario. The hotel staff is very friendly and the room and the entire facility is modern and extremely clean. Was really comfortable overall.beds were average.but the cleanliness of everything made up for that.

Immaculate room. Although we had a dog, we were given a great room. Friendly staff. Close to amenities. Quiet location.

Montmagny, PQ is my usual roadtrip STOP when traveling to ONTARIO. Conveniently located just minutes off the TCH. The front desk staff are friendly and professional, if you aren't bilingual they've accepted my less than perfect French and conversed with me in English.

The Rooms have always been clean, spacious, comfortable beds, modern heat & a) c unit, but they should have instructions for guests. I have heard some older guests saying that they were COLD because they couldn't work the heating units buttons.

I also noticed the outside entrance door in cold weather could be better insulated as it leaked quite badly one stay when it was -15c and windy.

One negative to also note: there isn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom (if you leave an odour after using the toilet) there's no way to remove it. I'd recommend a spray bottle of Bathroom refreshing spray as a stop gap measure as bathroom renovation projects are costly and inconvenient.

The breakfast area is spacious and well stocked for guests morning start before " check out" ; departure time so if you don't partake its your loss.

Overall most stays have been A-1; and this particular location is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
