Edu-inter French School

My experience as a French student at Edu-Inter was great. They are very good in accommodating new students at their right level and moving them up to more advanced classes as they make progress. This is great if you are visiting the school for a couple of weeks, because you will quickly improve your French. In adition, all teachers are very dynamic and knowledgeable, and all the staff (teachers included) is very friendly.

Edu-Inter, c'est une école sur laquelle les apprenants pouvons vivre entièrement français, non seulement en parlant de la langue à proprement parler, mais également les cultures, les arts, en un seul mot, l'inclusion totale en géoculturel et social en la langue française. J'ai passé des beaux moments avec les professeurs expérimentés et des étudiants du quatre coins du monde, c'était une expérience unique dans ma vie. La ville est par ailleurs extrêmement belle. (une des photos que j'avais prises en ville, le Château Frontenac, que je partage avec plaisir.)

I had a great experience with Edu Inter. I learned a lot in one week and had an amazing teacher. The staff was very friendly as well.

The people are nice. Staff are friendly. Unfortunately it is not enough of French. I feel that the money I spent for 2 weeks was not worth it. The French is only half day and the second half activities was in English. Despite the multiple request there was no effort. I would not proceed for next summer. The quality is definitely not what they sell in the program when you register. There is no way one can learn the language based on what they had. When I provided comment their answer was well the additional activity is 3rd party vendor. But I paid edu inter it’s suppose to be program as what they promised. I actually stayed in Quebec the whole time and picked up my child everyday so this comment is from my day to day view of the program.

One of my best experiences, excellent French school, very attentive and trained each of the teachers. It has a very nice location and easy access.

I spent 2 weeks in June of 2023 immersing myself into the French language and culture. My hosting family was fantastic! They took care of me royally and spoke French with me at all meals, correcting my mistakes. It was a truly genuine extension of my daily classes.

The first week, we had classes on the 5th floor and it was OK, but when we moved to the 3rd floor - it was truly a magical experience! The school is located in the historical building with high ceilings and beautiful windows.

I would like to highlight that the teaching style varies from one teacher to another. My first teacher had a relaxed style more suitable for teenagers, my second one was more old school, but did not speak English, and the third professor was absolutely superb. I am glad that the school admin had allowed me to switch from one teacher to another and get the most benefit for their knowledge, personality and teaching styles.

I would suggest that the school had short videos with the samples of typical classes, so that one can choose the most appropriate instructor ahead of time. Overall - great experience.

I took the plunge and traveled solo to Quebec City to immerse myself in Quebecois culture and the French language. As an adult, I was looking for an experience that would challenge me, help me grow my skills, and allow me time to explore independently. Edu-inter French School delivered on all fronts. I was enrolled in the Intensive level, with classes in the morning coupled with an afternoon conversational session. The pacing and patience of our teachers was excellent. I am planning a return visit in a year for an even longer stay. Most highly recommend this school and experience for adults interested in learning or advancing their French language skills.

From start to finish, my experience with Edu-inter was nothing short of remarkable! Prior to my arrival in Quebec City, Monise was extremely helpful in helping plan out my entire stay, accommodation, etc. She made herself available at all times to ensure my trip was perfect!

Upon my arrival to Quebec City, I was greeted by the staff at Edu-inter and was integrated into the Super Intensive French program. Guillaume and Fernanda made me feel right at home. Moreover, the professors were all extremely friendly and supportive in my journey learning French. I would like to give a special thanks to Anne-Marie, Paola, and Marie - all of who were fundamental in progressing my level of French!

The Super Intensive French program consisted of the perfect mix of core French classes to help hone grammar; afternoon conversational classes filled with fun and engaging activities all in French; and finally the semi-private conversations at the end of the day which provided the opportunity to explore a variety of compelling topics through discussions and debates in French! Coming into the program, my level of French was that of a beginner, and now I am proud to say that I can speak confidently at the B2 level!

Lastly, the best part about the Edu-inter experience is the complete immersion of the French language. Each and every day, I was surrounded by French, starting from getting around the city, to exploring the several beautiful neighborhoods, to simply absorbing the culture and customs of the beautiful people and city of Quebec. It was truly an amazing experience that I will never forget!

My daughter attended the Edu-Inter Multi-Activity summer program for 3 weeks this summer. She had a great time in Quebec City and had an amazing time with her host family. However, she was disappointed in the quality of the program. While Edu-Inter claims that its programming is fully French-immersion many of the staff would speak to the students in English or Spanish. Furthermore, the class sizes were significantly larger than the promised 15 students and they did not offer separate classes for levels B1 and B2.

As a parent, my greatest concern about the program was the lack of communication between the program, the host families, the students, and parents. Schedule changes were not communicated to either the students or their host families. One night the boyfriend of one of the teachers drove my daughter home since there was a bus strike. When I had called the program with concerns about transportation given the strike I spoke with the director and he told me that the program contracted with drivers and that there would be arrangements made if host families could not pick up students during the bus strike. I had thought that there were actually plans in place and not random boyfriends acting as chauffeurs. There was also a staffing shortage. In my daughter's final week her counselor disappeared and her activity group needed to merge with another one so there were 40+ kids supervised by a single staff member while traveling off-site.

When I wrote to the program director to share these concerns and others such as staff yelling at students and unfair treatment of staff he told me that what my daughter reported to me "is wrong". When I told him that I actually believed my daughter's reports since there was no communication from program staff with parents throughout the entire 3 weeks she was there he rudely replied to me in an email writing, "clearly you are talking to a professional liar. " I hate to say it, but that may be the case. So, I would think twice before sending your child to EduInter Multiactivity Camp. Maybe the other programs are different, but based on my experience with this particular program I would have second thoughts. I will not be sending my daughter back to EduInter next summer (but we are already looking for different programs since she LOVED going to Quebec).

As a parent, I am delighted to have found Edu-inter French School for my son's French language learning journey. My son is currently attending school for his 6 month birthday and I must say it has been an amazing experience for him.

Edu-inter French School instructors are incredibly professional and passionate about teaching, making each class enjoyable and interesting for students. They use creative teaching techniques and fun activities that keep my son interested in learning the language.

The school also has a wide range of resources designed to help students learn faster and make classes more enjoyable.

In addition, the administrative staff at Edu-inter French School are incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to help with any questions or concerns parents may have.

Overall, I recommend Edu-inter French School to parents who are looking for an excellent French school for their children. The school has everything a young student would need to develop their French language skills while having fun. Thank you Edu-inter French School for giving my son such an amazing experience!

The school is very spacious, it has everything necessary for the students. They only have a terrible organization for cultural activities and they don't know how to choose them very well

Edu-inter creates an amazing community of students of all ages from all over the world, united in their focus to learn French. The staff are so friendly, the facilities comfortable, designed to promote connection, and the activities provided by the school are fun! I will always enroll with Edu-inter during my visits to Quebec City. L'ecole est tres magnifique!

This language school took over 600 dollars from me as a deposit for a course in July 2019. When they cancelled the course, they refused to give me a refund and instead issued me with a credit note. I booked another course for July 2020 which was also cancelled. They still refused to give me back my money. I reluctantly agreed to do an online course and a week before, I was told again that the course would not be running. Again, no refund. UPDATE - eventually got the refund but it wasn’t without blood sweat and tears! Use your credit card as you get better protection.

I do not recommend taking classes from this school. It is a joke.

I was taking online classes and they had several issues with internet. They blamed me and my connection but when it was proven two more times that it was indeed on their end, there was no apology.

There was no curriculum or sequence of what was being taught. Lessons didn’t build on each other.

Refused to give a refund even after they didn’t show up/internet issues

Still have not refunded my money. Still have not provided services. Poor customer service.
