Quality dropped but prices increased ever since new management runs the place. We miss the old Efes, it was so much cozier and more authentic. Not enough nuts in the baklava- good if you like lotsa philo pastry in syrup. I guess all good things eventually come to an end.
Their borek with cheese is ver fresh and delicious. Also their tea is 100% Turkish tea that I really enjoyed. This place to me back to the Turkish caffès and brought back a lot of memories
Best baklava in Montreal! Not too sweet, extremely tasty and very soft. And it tastes even better if you have a Turkish coffee with it. Borek was delicious too!
The best baklava ever, pistachio rolls are my favorite. Turkish coffee and tea were also delicious. On the weekend they have a special borek don’t miss it out!
To the owner's reply: maybe you have the same guy but quality is not good. The previous owner did it great. What I was given were closer to rocks then sweets.
Great baklavas, not too sweet and light enough for someone to eat much more than one. You will find also a variety of rahat loukoums and other salty treats. Efes is already a go to place known to the Turkish community and others. Having opened in the year 2000, it is just celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Talat usta makes "Su böreği" on weekends. (Turkish lasagne with feta cheese inside) They are sold out by 11 am latest so call and reserve your borek before.
Hidden gem in parc extension. Their patés are to DIE FOR. Omg, i can't even cope. This place is magic. So fresh. Always hot. Go there get some patés for not even 3$ well last time i went. Soooo worth it.
Only baklava was good, but at that price I can find it everywhere. Banica was so so, and cookies not my taste, they was so dry, for me not eatable. Nothings special like place and little bit overpriced!
Sooooo good and FRESH! Super friendly, generous portions and cheap prices. Takes us +30 min to get here but it's worth it each time, we love this place so much.
This is the place for baklava! Don't get fooled by the big store across the street, after several blind tests the baklavas at Efes are without a doubt the best of that street.
