Amazing breakfast & they took great care of us!

Update: Visited again, phenomenal service from Mark. Always a great place to eat, everytime!

A lot of not tasty and fatty food, unfortunately. The food has no taste other than the taste of fried oil. We paid almost $60 for two large, tasteless portions of food and not tasty coffee. It's not worth it.

We came as a party of 7 with reservations and coming from LA a tourists we became surprised by the lack of service and rudeness of servers.
If I could I would give it a No Star Rating.
Extremely disappointing and dissatisfying experience. Please spend your Hard earned Dollars somewhere else!

Good food served in this restaurant. Multiple brunch options for all taste including options for vegetarians. Staff is friendly.

Pour voir la file d'attente devant le restaurant et le nombre de personnes en train de manger, j'ai étais agréablement surpris par la rapidité et la qualité du service, la serveuse a pris le temps de nous servir correctement et très rapidement, les plats nous ont régalé! Le prix est très très correct.

A party of 3 with 2 people addicted to egg benedict, so it made sense to come the the closest location to have our breakfast: lobster Benedict, crab cake Benedict with me liking plain eggs.

The surprise was the watermellon slices, which was a great touch after having eggs. And thanks to our waiter, an Oriental guy (secretly I wished him to be our waiters as the others seem not to be bothered much) who paid attention to everything: how I like my bread etc. You might think: why be fussy? Well, otherwise I cannot eat or small things done not the way I like them simply make me physically sick.

This place is beautifully decorated, even the bathrooms are amazing and is located in a great area: as we returned around lunch time we noticed how busy and 'crazy' this are became all of a sudden. At night it might be madness.

Très bons plats, qui tiennent leurs promesses (jolie présentation, excellents ingrédients, un délice) et mention spéciale pour la grande gentillesse du personnel.

Split the Lobster Benedict with my wife. Kids had the pancakes and sides. Food, atmosphere and service was great. Definitely would eat here again.

We visited here to have a kind of late brunch during our winter vacation in January, and the lovely staff made their best to make ourselves feel like home. We also liked the variety and fine selection of healthy ingredients in their menu.

Very good but also very expensive. Cocktails are quite strong. If you want something sweet you will get it so, just make sure its a well balanced meal, if its not your strong suit. Waiter very attentive. Great place to eat at.

When in Montreal a must to go for breakfast!

I know it's a chain, but the selections were abundant and the food came fast and it was tasty. I love their fried potatoes! The staff was friendly and quick and in good humour when the rain came down on us.

Service rapide et courtois! Bon déjeuner, mais les prix sont un peu trop élevés (si on compare avec les prix de n'importe quelles chaînes de resto à déjeuner).

Miam miam que c'est bon! Même si souvent il y a la queue, ne paniquez pas ça va très vite! En quelques minutes vous êtes installés et vous pouvez commander! In large menu composé eh bein.d'oeufs hahaha mais très savoureux le staff est très sympathique et à l'écoute.j'aime et je valide.

The restaurant itself is quaint feeling but surprisingly big. We were seated near the window on the second floor so we had a good view of the surrounding area to complement our breakfast. We both had variations of waffles with toppings: the banana split waffle and the pear/bacon waffle. Both were delicious and very generous in portion size - neither of us could finish our plates! I also tried the lychee mimosa which was delicious, I highly recommend it. The service was so fast and friendly, we truly enjoyed our time there and our experience got our day off to a great start.

In a time of such competition for breakfast places and being situated below a big hotel, can you really afford to serve substandard food like this. The taste of the potatoes, coffee and bacon left a lot to be desired.

We stood a few days in the Courtyard Marriott hotel. Looking for a good breakfast place we found the 'eggspectation". Great place, great food, very nice staff.

You get a really big portion. We had different meals and believe me, nobody left hungry.

Very kid friendly (chair, menue, pens etc.).

Direkt in der Nähe zum AC und Courtyard Hotel, direkt im Shopping Center gelegen. Sehr einfach zu erreichen. Angeboten sind sehr große und sehr leckere Gerichte. Süß und herzhaft, alles dabei. Ideal zum Start in den Tag. Kinderfreundliches Restaurant. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf jeden Fall!

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. They have a lot of choices four different types of appetites omelettes pancakes and everything in between. It also has a nice bar feel to it if that's what you're into.

They have an extensive menu for breakfast. I had an omelette, which was dry and way too pricy for that quality. The space is too noisy for the morning. The waitress was attentive, but that was the only positive thing. I wouldn’t come back.

When I say there's no better meal I had while in Montreal.bruhhhh! I've actually ate here each time I was in town but this time I had a specific meal in mind; crepes stuffed with spinach and fried chicken strips. Had to add the hollandaise sauce on the side for the crepes and potatoes. I can still remember every bite. I'll definitely be back per the usual!

Can't beat this place for breakfast. Downtown but good prices. Great food options with even better coffee.

Le service était vraiment très long malgré le peu de client au moment de ma visite. Et nous avons dû attendre beaucoup de temps pour avoir l'addition ainsi que pour la payer (30 minutes). Le repas était correct cependant.

Not enough sauce on the bénédictines. The eggs were overcooked. The waiter kept asking us if we wanted alcohol when we told him at the beginning we didn't want any.

They decided to remove the free coffee with meals from the menu but of course its not written anywhere and the waiter never specified it. It looks like a smalll thing but 2.25$ per costumer who did not know that. And it is included in pretty much any other restaurants i just noticed it on my bill. Is coffee really that expensive?

The food was good but small portions.it becomes too expensive for a breakfast without a coffee.

Nous y sommes allés pour brunch. Nous avons attendu 5 minutes avant d'être assis.

J'ai commandé les oeufs bénédictines au homard. C'était très bon, mais j'aurais pris d'avance d'homard pour le prix payé.

Le service a été plutôt rapide même si le restaurant était plein.

Everything was really good, in particularly my Nutella crepe which was perfect as a crepe and the separate Nutella container allowed me to spread enough Nutella everywhere. I also had Benny eggs with salmon, very delicious!

Great spot to eat during lunch hour. Service is super fast, food is great and the choices look all great. Def one of the best brunch spots in downtown!

No major complaints. The food and coffee were good. I got the Montreal Benny, and it was very good. I've never had Dijon Mustard on a Benny before, but I like it.

Very similar to Eggs Oasis. It was served with fruit and sliced potatoes on the side.

The interior could use a little work though. Everything looked quite old, and a light above me turned on and off every couple minutes.

Health and Safety concern?

We arrived at Eggspectation ready to be blown away with their high quality, well portioned meal. Well, we were taken to the upstairs area and sat near the rear corner. Right above this are is a vent/Hvac system. The system gave off an unbearable vibration and low frequency sound. The hostess immediately gone with no acknowledgement by us to accept the seating, left us to quickly ask a passing waiter to move us outward towards the balcony area. The difference of 15 feet made a world of difference and tolerable. Not great, but tolerable. We settled in and 3-4 minutes later the same waiter asked if we could move to a booth to make room for a party of 10. Beginning to doubt my position; we accepted. The booth being better than spot 1, however not as tolerable as spot 2, we accepted understanding that the restaurant had to sit a party and we would make do.

Sitting in the booth, we immediately became more and more annoyed by the cavelike setting where the vibration and fan blowing, missed with conversation and a too loud music system. The food became less and less enjoyable.

Side note: We asked for milk for coffee instead of UHT packs and the waiter said that would be $1, but the UHT packs are free. So the restaurant has paper straws but still uses UHT packs?

The meal? Ahhhhh just ok, but to be honest, I am sure the setting effected our taste buds so I cannot rate without bias.

I would not go back to this restaurant and risk this experience at a cost of $65+ for two adults and 1 child. To be honest, in this setting I wouldn’t go if it was free.

The kicker: After all that, we were moved for a party of 10, but only 3 people we ever sat. We left with the restaurant now half empty.

The best Eggspectation, I tried some others in down town Montreal but this is always my go to! And the breakfast cocktails, amazing! This place is one of the reason I like to go on vacation to Canada!

Le repas est très bon et le service bien.mais on était 2 personnes et on a pas eu droit à une banquette et j’ai insisté et ils n’ont vraiment pas voulu nous l’offrir pour la raison qu’on doit être 3 personnes ou plus.j’ai remarqué que leurs banquettes, il y en avait 3 et les 3 étaient disponibles.je comprends pas pourquoi qu’il faut être 3 et + pour en avoir une tandis que le restaurant Allo mon coco le permet eux qu’on soit 1 ou2 ou 3 ou 4 peux importe le nombre de personnes, vous avez droit à une banquette.moi si on me refuse une banquette c’est parce que le restaurant eggspectation peut se permet de perdre des clients.je croyais que les clients étaient importants dans la restauration.j’espère qu’il changeront d’avis pour la prochaine visite parce que j’ai l’intention d’en refaire un commentaire

Food is not great, saussages à to much burns, gaufre are too plain with no side sirops, staff are more English even while I tried to use French many times, ambiance very noisy

A nice and fun place to have a good breakfast. The atmosphere was very nice, people were friendly. I'm not a big eater, but I ate it all and I thought it was a lot. But I liked the food a lot, the eggs florentine with extra avocado!
