Escaparium Montreal - Jeu d'Evasion - Escape Room

Very nice escape room! Puzzles were complex and very well made. Our game master (masteress) was exceptional (Felicia). Great room, incredible ambiance and so much fun!
Le jeu était vraiment bien ficellé, bien léché côté décor et une ambiance superbe. Notre maitre de jeu, maîtresse, (Felicia) vraiment bonne dans son rôle, réactive, drôle et pleine d'intuition! Ça a rendu l'expérience encore plus complète!

Great place and the staff is just amazing! We went with the kids, and it turned out that my younger kid is not comfortable (too early, I guess). The team noticed that my kid is sensitive to certain noises, so they offered us headphones, which really improve the situation.
Great for kids birthday parties, too. Everyone was very nice and supportive (you get as many clues as you need, and they are helpful but still keep you interested and leave a feeling the you solved it and you weren't just given the answer), very understanding (we had 2 kids coming late - they were able to join the room in the middle). There was no one after us, so they let the kids stay a bit longer, trying to solve it (they didn't solve it anyway, but they had fun:) )
Highly recommended!

Hosted a birthday party a 10 year old and it was a great success. The kids were able to finish the game (with a bit of help) … the “ambiance” is really well done, the kids loved it! The staff was really accommodating and helpful to make it a success (and I had called all escape rooms in Montreal). Totally recommend!

C'était bien, nous avons fait celui des sorciers. Il y avait un Elfe comme dans Harry Potter qui nous parlais. Il fallait lancer des sort avec une baguette et résoudre des énigmes.

Nous sommes aller en famille pour la fête des pères et ce fut bien amusant.

Point négatif: Nous n'entendons pas très bien quand l'Elfe parle.

What a great experience! I had a blast trying to figure out the puzzles with friends. The atmosphere was fun, they were extremely polite and helpful. You need to show up about 15 minutes earlier, and listen carefully to their rules before going in a room. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to ask them before going in so that it won't ruin your experience once you go in.

Update: For the The wizard four and the book of the black art room: Even though the room was able to have 9 people, not everyone had a wand. The music was overpowering the dialog. Maybe they need to turn down the music during the time that the dialog is playing? Other than that, it was super cool.

Meilleur endroit pour les jeux d’évasion, et j’en ai fait beaucoup. Les décors sont absolument magnifiques!

Positives: rooms were well decorated and the theme of Alice was spot on.

Negatives: oh, where to start? The staff was very unfriendly upon arriving. We were there on the 3rd of January and perhaps they didn’t want to work after the holidays? Barely a greeting and the girl at the counter that made us pay the rest barely looked at us and was more interested in talking with her colleague. There are NO clues to start you on the puzzle, you have to figure out what to do by yourself, except in the 2nd room where there’s a riddle to the first clue. After 20 minutes of trying to figure out the 2nd puzzle in the 1st room, we FINALLY got some help from the game helper or whatever. By that time, almost 35 minutes had gone by. Finally made it to the 2nd room where, again, we had a hard time figuring out what we had to do when the door to the 3rd key opened… we entered the 3rd room with only 5 minutes left. We were able to solve one puzzle because our room attendant told us what to do and then we had to leave.
They came to open the door, no question on our experience. She just grabbed the walkie and waited for us to exit and locked behind.

Having done a few in Montreal, this is the last place I would return. The bathroom was filthy and the decor had some serious damage to it. The screen in the first room was super dusty and greasy.
Would not recommend unfortunately

It’s expensive although once you see the amount of detail put into each room it makes perfect sense.the wizard one is an absolute must!

My boyfriend and I did the Wizard Room. Unfortunately it was way too expensive to leave us disappointed. I do not recommend. The room functions did not fully work, in the potions room we were pressing buttons waiting for something and wasting time. The room constructions were crumbling. Fix the rooms if you’re gonna charge 85$ for 2 people. The host did not give us time updates, we finally asked when there was only “1 min left” and that’s when we finally got to the last room. Unlike other escape rooms where the hosts are on top of the time. Some advice: improve the servers used at reception, they’re too slow, your staff agrees. Just avoid this Dorval Escaparium and go anywhere else.

Assez déçu de notre expérience à la succursale de Dorval, nous sommes arrivés en avance mais personne ne venait nous chercher pour commencer la partie.nous avons dû demander pour que quelqu’un nous emmène dans la salle, nous avons attendu 20min alors que la salle était libre. Nous avons fait Les Quatre Sorciers et le Grimoire de l'Art Obscur ; dans la première salle une des énigmes était cassé sur 4 donc plus que 3 énigmes ; dans la deuxième pièce la sensibilité des aimants était mauvaise, nous avions résolu l’énigme mais cela ne s’ouvrait pas donc nous avons contacter le game master qui nous a dit d’appuyer plus fort pour que cela fonctionne ; et dans la troisième pièce pareil manque de sensibilité nous avions résolu l’énigme mais cela ne s’ouvrait pas.cela casse donc un peu la dynamique du jeu et nous étions déçu. + en plein le jeu le game master est venu changer des choses dans la pièce d’à côté, l’immersion n’était donc pas très bonne. Je ne recommande pas ce thème là car les installations sont vieillissantes. Pour avoir fait plusieurs jeu de ce genre nous avons été très déçu par celui-ci.

Normalement, j’adore Escaparium. L’immersion est totale et le staff est super agréable. J’ai fais quasiment tous les scénarios à Laval.

C’était ma première fois à la succursale de Dorval et j’ai franchement été déçu. Le staff, bien que sympathique, était en retard, avait besoin de son cellulaire pour nous présenter la première pièce et n’était pas dutout à l’affût de ce qu’il se passe dans notre escape room.

Nous avons fait les 4 sorciers et l’empereur des ténèbres. La plupart des technologies fonctionnait une fois sur deux. Certains indices apparaissaient alors que nous n’avions pas résolu l’énigme et d’autres restaient coincés alors que l’énigme était résolue. Le décor était également assez mal en point. Nous avons perdu près de 10 minutes a refaire une énigme alors que nous l’avions résolu et que l’indice n’était simplement pas tombé. Nous avons du nous meme nous en rendre compte.

Je ne connais pas les autres scénarios, mais je ne vous conseille vraiment pas celui-là. La succursale de Laval me semble de loin supérieure.

Les employés sont excptionnelles!
Le service client est impeccable, ils connaissent leur jeux, ils sont tous souriants et impliqués. Il y a même des mises en scène pour rendre l'histoire plus réelle. Comme toujours nous vivons des expériences inoubliables et enrichissantes. Ils nous ont même laissé plus de temps pour terminer l'activité. Toujours aussi satisfaite de mes expériences à l'ecaparium de Dorval, merci pour ces belles soirées de plaisir

We had a lot of fun! We'll be back for sure. Staff was super helpful and friendly and the puzzles were fun to solve. Fun for all ages too, our group had ages were 10,11,14,18 and 40+ years old and everybody had a great time.

Très cher pour presque rien, nous avons réussi à terminer le jeu c’était bien mais les énigmes ne sont pas tout de suite évidente. Nous avons fait celui inspiré de Jurassique parc et je pense que le prix est justifié par la présence d’un tyrannosaure qui bouge tout au long du jeux sinon il y a de meilleurs escape game ailleurs.

We had fun solving the puzzle. We chose the Prison Break theme. I would suggest though not to use the walkie-talkie while in the game, only if we ask for it.

Accueil très tiède pour ne pas dire froid. Salle défraîchie. Game master désintéressé. Éléments de jeux défectueux. Ne vaut pas le prix demandé.

We went to Escaparium in Dorval once for Alice in Wonderland (2 adults and a 6 years old child).

The staff was friendly and greeted us quickly. The instructions were clear.

The first two rooms were well decorated and I thought they were immersive and fun. The decorations were slightly creepy for a child (keep in mind he's easily scared, but the characters in the room were indeed a little creepy even in our adult eyes) and so he refused to participate and wanted to stay by the door. The third room is what kinda ruined it for us, as there were several puzzles that were significantly harder and didn't seem to make sense between them. They had forgotten to reset some items and there were a few technical issues (5 total) such as mechanisms that didn't work properly even after correctly solving the puzzles. At least our game master was helpful and nice.

The room felt like it belonged to an older generation of escape rooms and was a bit disappointing after doing more recent rooms within the same company (eg the lost island of the voodoo Queen).

There is also usually a short time allowed after the game is over to discuss the puzzles and your overall experience with your game master, and that was pretty much absent. We were quickly escorted back to the door after our game ended.

Also make sure that you're not claustrophobic/ are able to go through narrow spaces before going.

Massimo is goated, honestly best experience ever. Great game master and definitely one of the friendliest guys we’ve ever met. The escape rooms are so fun and challenging. Very well made as well. Thank you for the positive experience, we’ll be back again

We booked Tyranno Industries, for today, at 11: 05. We arrived earlier, as requested, only to wait almost 1h for the room.

After around 20min waiting, an employee came to get a group. No greetings (she didn’t even look at us), she just looked at the group and pointed the room - very impolite, even a little rude!

The second attendant, who was late, was kind. The one monitoring the games was very kind and helpful.

The game was cool!

(2 stars because the delay, no apologies and the impolite employee.)

Best escape room experience in Canada so far. We have done escape rooms in different countries and always find the Canada ones too easy and simple.
This one definitely upped the bar for us. The puzzles were challenging but doable.and the staff only helped when we asked for help.
(In some escape rooms, they help even when you don't ask)

We loved that we had to go through little spaces to go to other rooms instead of just through doors.

If you are going to do only one room, you must, MUST try the "Wardrobe for sale". Without giving anything away, it was a fantastic mission, beautifully setting and a lot of work can be seen in making this production. Probably one of the best rooms I've been in. The staff was super friendly and the food in the built-in Café was delicious. (They have a cute honey bear drink/glass shape you have to try). Cannot recommend hard enough, while it is a bit pricy, dollar per minute I felt it value was worthy and I didn't experience any buyers remorse.

I planned my son’s 11th bday party there because they had an escape room that could accommodate up to 12 players and also they had a party room. ´Booking was very easy and the website had all the information needed to make my decision on date and time etc. When I called to get more info about the party room, they were very helpful. On thé day of the party, the dorval staff was very nice and accommodating allowing me to set up the party room and were excellent getting the kids ready for the escape room. We were very happy with our experience and we will for sure be coming back!

Looks like a whole lot of fun.so my son tells me he works there. Dream job for a student and summer

Escaparium c'est vraiment une belle expérience de escape room, 3 jeu d'essayer à date, tous très bien!

Pretty fun experience and the staff here are super friendly. The games are bilingual. Warning: If terrified of anything, like snakes, probably best to ask ahead so you’re not idle with your eyes closed in one of the stages, like I was (haha).

We were 3 adults and 4 x 11 year old girls.
I wasn't sure what to expect, i figured worse case I can sacrifice an hour for the family.
"The Game" or " le Jeu" as we played it in French.
I must admit I loved it! Well done! Very immersive.
Staff was awesome!
Our Host was great, really helped set the mood.
We actually escaped with 30 seconds left, although we did ask for hints twice.
The hour flew by.
We are already planning our next visit.

Apparemment, ils n'ont pas compris que le client n'aime pas avoir à sortir son porte-feuille.

J'aime beaucoup escaparium tout les jeux sont bienfaits et les énigmes sont a la hauteur un vrai challenge et une belle expérience.

One of the best location in all of Quebec. The originality and the quality of those escape rooms are by far one of the most immersive!

Great escape games with superb rooms and props. A couple of minor bugs here and there dropped one star from the rating (plus it's one of the most expensive ones in the area, which is understandable once you see the rooms).

Overall really great experience!

Service was great and staff were friendly, overall escape rooms were fun and challenging. Good social distance measures were in place and the rooms were disinfected after each group finishes.

Le meilleur escape room que j'ai fais jusqu'à maintenant! L'histoire est captivante et les énigmes incroyablement bien pensée. Les précautions du à la covid 19 sont bien respecter mais n'enlève rien à l'expérience. Bravo!

Belle organisation. Nous avons reussi le defi "grimoire' (niveau difficile) et il restait 8 minutes. Je vais y retourner avec les enfants pour les plus faciles!
