Bad customer service and asked for at least 15% tip for my meal. Very disappointed. I was so excited to enjoy holiday in Montreal and after went this place, it completely ruin my mood. NOT RECOMMENDED

People working there are aggressive with their clients! Horrible service they refused to give a glass of water to one of my friends who joined us for dinner (we ordered enough food for the three of us before she came) they refused to give her water on the pretext that she did not order!
we asked for the manager, of course not available; then employees started shouting at us, we paid and left the place!

Great food, but terrible service, not only from the waitstaff but also from the cashier. They lack proper customer service skills and treat customers very poorly. They should consider replacing all the service personnel.

The food was gross and the kitchen looked so unclean and I feel like there were cockroaches around. It’s just not a good environment in the restaurant to cook food. The restaurant dine in was very hot and no air conditioner or fan. We were sweating while having our meals. The food was super oily as if I was just drinking oil. The most important disappointment is the waitress’ treatment to us. The waitress was extremely rude and she slammed the dish onto the table as if we were homeless begging for food. I wanted to get their attention for my order and all of them ignored me as if they tried to avoid the responsibility. I took me awhile to finally get one of their attention and it seemed like she doesn’t know English. I then waited for my take out box and the other short hair employee yelled out that we should pay in counter and why we were just sitting there. This waitress was literally yelling across the restaurant to talk to me which was just very rude and disrespects to customers. She then required us to tip more and that we didn’t tip enough meanwhile we shouldn’t have tipped them after all of the disrespect and harassment they were giving us. This is my first time ever that a restaurant staff came up to my table and force us to leave more tip. They’re pretty desperate for dollars. All of other nice restaurants out there with amazing service never complain about their tips. They made us go and tipped them more. I wanted to complain to her face and but she would just yelled out and embarrass us again. This restaurant makes the Chinatown appear badly to tourists and it is the reason why other tourists and I don’t want to come to china town and support their business because of how rude and unprofessional the customer service is as well as food’s cleanliness.

I rate 1 star because first of all the food wasn’t all that…. Shanghai noodles were so full with onions and peppers that there was barely any noodles and the general Tao chicken was so hard that it was nearly impossible to chew… biggest reason for rating this place is THE DISGUSTING SERVICE!
As I was eating I noticed these 2 old ladies who went to pay, and the big girl who works there started yelling loudly saying “the tip is not included u cannot leave without tipping & checks there bill and says “you need to tip me 5$ before you leave “ the lady said she doesn’t have any more cash & the cashier gave her back the debit machine & says here do it again, you must have in your debit card…I was shocked & THEN HAS THE AUDACITY TO YELL FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR HER AND SAYS “ OMG YOU ARE SO HORRIBLE AND CHEAP” and the cashier followed along and said “yess you horrible cheap ladies”

Manager kicked out party of 4 because 2 wanted to order bubble tea instead of food. We work in the area and visit the restaurant often. Food is pretty good but unless you want to be yelled at by your server stay away from this restaurant. Many better places near here to enjoy lunch in peace.

Honestly you have more of a chance to get a working ice cream machine at McDonald's than getting your glass of water filled up. Screamed at us and was never there but went running after us when we didn't want to tip.

We entered this restaurant during our stroll through Chinatown. Upon entering, everything was chaotic, and we were seated at a dirty table in a rude manner, but we decided to stay. Upon arrival, we attempted to use the hand sanitizer, but the dispenser was empty. Later, we went to the ladies' restroom to wash our hands. To my surprise, the restroom was unsanitary, and the hand soap was not working. I approached the person who attended to us to mention the lack of soap and sanitizer, but they completely ignored me. I repeated my request, and this time they suggested we clean our hands with napkins or that my elderly mother and I use the men's restroom to wash up. By this point, we had already placed our food order, and cancellation wasn't an option. We ate our meal amidst occasional shoves from the server and the disorganized flow of people around us, coming and going without any table coordination.

Every time a dish was brought to us, it was placed on the table with little care, almost on the edge, risking spillage. The worst part came when it was time to pay: understandably, given the disastrous service, we chose not to leave a tip. However, the owner of the establishment lied, claiming that a 30% tip was mandatory. I reiterated that not only was it not mandatory, but I also wouldn't leave a tip due to the terrible service we had received. The person handling the payment started insulting me and my mother, telling us to go eat at a fast-food place if we weren't going to tip. We won't be returning, and hopefully, health inspectors will visit the establishment because it was genuinely very dirty, and the staff were extremely unpleasant.

The food was mediocre at best. The service was really bad. The staff was rude and didn't even bother placing our utensils; they just chunked them on the table. And even when we asked for the leftovers, they just chunked two plastic containers. At the end, when we were going to pay, they forced us to pay tip. I didn't want to, because of the bad service, but the waitress told us that tip was mandatory when we dined in. I'm never coming back to this swine place where they treat customers as we were vermin.

I have been there twice, and neither experiences were pleasant.

The quality of food is not good, and the customer service is severely lacking. I don’t suggest asking for an extra packet of soya sauce because they will literally tell you no.

I thought the first time was maybe just an off day. But based on my second visit (and the other reviews) I can confirm everyday is an off day.

Food is great for the price, but the customer service is VERY hit or miss. The first time we went here the older lady was great and radiated happiness, but the last time we were here the girl who served us was very rude, shutting us down wh. We didn't even get a water refill!

No idea why people hate on this place. The food is simple at its core but hits in of the right ways.

Had the worst experience in my life. The owner came to take order and she was very disrespectful. When we asked for noodles without pork pointing at a specific food type she said if you have eaten Chinese food then you will know, she also said if you don’t want leave the restaurant. I was in shock and don’t know what to do. Then I came to the review here and realized a lot of people mentioned that the people there are rude but common, other Montreal restaurants are so nice and welcoming and this place just disappointed me so much. Never going back again. The owner is so rude and the meanest person I have ever encountered. Anyways god bless them and the restaurant.

La nourriture est bonne mais le service est tout bonnement horrible. Si tu es prêt à prendre le risque de recevoir quelque chose de différent de ce que tu as commandé ou à te faire engueuler par la serveuse, c’est une place à considérer car somme toute la nourriture est bonne.

La nourriture était OK. Il n'y avait quasiment pas de service, pas de remplissage d'eau rien. J'ai mangé des dumplings qui goutaient sincèrement la litirere pour chat.
Venue le temps de payer, j'ai voulu laisser aucun tip étant donné qu'on a pas eu de service de personne. La dame m'a insulté en chinois et elle m'a forcé à mettre un tip. Je ne recommande aucunement. Dépensez votre argent ailleurs ça n'en vaut pas la peine

On nous donne un menu mais on nous empêche de commander autre chose qu une formule à 10.95 au choix très restreint
Il existe 3 options mais encore une fois on nous impose que 2
D ailleurs pour moi le choix du 2 ème plat ne pas jms été servi.
On demande qq chose c'est à peine si le serveur ne nous envoie pas bouler quand il daigne répondre.
Au moment de payer nous sommes décidés à ne pas laisser de tips.
On tente de nous forcer à nous en faire payer un
Nous tapons sur ' skip" sur la page des tips de l appareil à CB. La serveuse nous crie dessus nous reprend l appareil annule et nous représente la machine avec les tips.
Nous lui exposons ce qui motive que nous ne souhaitons pas en laisser alors que durant tout notre séjour nous en avons laisser systématiquement ailleurs.
Elle s énerve nous crie à nouveau dessus et nous " lance" la machine après avoir fait " skip"

Horrible place. Waiter are asian and CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH OR FRENCH. The language barrier is so big that ordering a simple plate of fired rice was a problem that took 5 minutes. The “stir fry” was WET (the stir fry came in liquids, SAY THAT AGAIN LIQUIDS). The “fresh” dumpling were cold (horrible taste too, Sams dumplings are better). The duck was dry (nasty taste too). The bathroom looked cleaner than the kitchen. Would not recommend to my worst enemies.

One of the worst places in Chinatown. They force you to tip, which is illegal. If you don't they try to stop you from leaving and yell at you. Prices are low, but not worth it. Food is delivered quickly, but is mediocre and lukewarm. The time I eat there I found 2 different coloured hairs in the food.

Came here for lunch on a weekday while my family were touring around the nearby Old Montreal. We opted for Combo H on the menu and we did not regret in any way.

Run by a very hardworking and friendly lady, we were informed well in advanced that the Kung pao chicken here is of a fusion style and not authentic that will match the spicy dish that we were looking for. However, general Tso’s chicken will be a better match for it.

For less than $70 inclusive of taxes, we had spring rolls, shrimp wanton soup, salt & pepper shrimp, garlic stir fried vegetables and chicken fried rice with 3 hot teas and 1 pop drink.

Given today’s inflation, the price + quality served here is amazing. I already know where to return for lunch/dinner during my next trip to Montreal, especially if I am nearby Chinatown.

Alors autant la nourriture est super bonne, merci aux cuisinier parcontre la serveuse nous à offert l'un des pires service que j'ai pu avoir, froide limite prête à nous jeter les assiettes et les verres sur la table, ignore les clients et qui en plus quand elle se trompe sur le nombre d'aliments se plains comme si c'était de ma faute.
(PS: Heureusement que la deuxième serveuse était plus agréable, sinon j'aurais été moins poli.)

Regular chinese/american restaurant in Chinatown. Service is a bit confuse due the lack of waitress or just the time I went. Was a little busy. Food is soso, seems was prepared in a rush. Char siu was dry and though. Mapu tofu was ok and the fried egg plant with ground pork was too oily. Manager was friendly and apologized for a mistake on the bill. Please next time do not put a waitress on training during a peak hour.

We stopped in here for dinner, figuring it must be good because it was busy. It was not. Was actually THE WORST Chinese food we've ever had. And, it was very expensive for the subpar meals they're serving. This restaurant deserves no stars.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.if i could put 0 stars, i would.the waiter’s could not care less about the service, they even went to the extent of walking away from me mid sentence, while i was asking if my table could keep a menu.they were being extremely rude and were getting upset at the smallest request.the food was sub-par AT BEST to top it off.at the end, they had the audacity to ask for a higher tip after we had paid? Do not go here, ur better off starving for the night.

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de mettre de mauvais commentaire, mais dommage qu'on ne puisse pas mettre 0 étoile. Pour commencer, 3 serveurs sont venus nous demandé si nous avions finis de choisir et cela en moins de 5 min. Résultat nous n'avons pas pu finir de lire la carte et avons choisi des plats au hasard. La nourriture est huileuse sans gout, le riz nous a été présenté sans sauce. Pour couronner le tout au moment de l'encaissement nous décidons de ne pas donner de tips au vue du service désastreux. La dame à lunette de l'accueil n'a pas voulu nous laisser partir en affirmant que les tips étaient obligatoire (ce qui est faux) Nous avons été dans l'OBLIGATION de payé 10% de plus.

Nous y avons mangé quelques bons plats lors de notre visite (environ 8 mois) et dont les portions étaient généreuses pour un prix plutôt bas en général.

Nous avons été bien accueilli, assez tard un soir.

Le must de ce restaurant, en ce qui nous concerne: les dumplings, beaux et délicieux!

Service extra-rapide, large choix, compter une quinzaine de dollars par personne.
Poulet Kung pao ne ressemble pas au poulet traditionnel mais délicieux quand même!

Bonjour, ce restaurant est vraiment infâme. C'était degueulasse, ça ne vaut vraiment pas le coup, fuyez. Nous sommes parties sans à peine manger et on se sentait super mal après le repas. Quand on lui a dis qu'on aimait vraiment pas elle nous a ris au nez puis nous a quand même forcé à laisser un pourboire.
Je me pose des questions egalement sur l'hygiène et la cuisine car les denrées ne semblait pas fraiche du tout. La viande était remplie d'huile, comme mon ramen sans saveur et les nems vraiment mauvais. Les légumes de mon amie était tout dur avec des nouilles instantanées pas cuite. Je déconseille fortement

Around $10 full of yumminess. Good chinese BBQ pork and duck noodles soup with the right amount of salt in the broth!

We ordered takeout twice and enjoyed the food but when we went to dine in we decided to leave before ordering because the place was quite filthy. The walls, floors, windows, and doors all look like they haven’t had a thorough cleaning in years. Sorry. I don’t like to give bad reviews but I also don’t like unclean restaurants.

The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We ordered the salt and pepper seafood, eggplant with pork in Yu-Hsiang sauce, General Tao's chicken, chicken and salty fish fried rice, and seafood chow mein.

I am a fan of Sichuan cuisine, so I tried the Ma Po tofu. That was the single most disgusting meal I ever had and I couldn't go past one bite. It came in a think ''sauce'' like a soup. Single most disgusting meal I hate in the past few years.

The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. The dishes are traditional Cantonese fare. This a no-frills place. If you come with this in mind, you won't be disappointed.

Good duck (the most expensive one it is 100% worth it you will thank me later and thank me again and again as you go back to restaurant ethan again and again)

The staff were very helpful, responsive and the food was good. I tried the Shanghai noodles. I loved the wonton soup- This was my first time if trying it and tasty. I bought the roasted duck for take away unfortunately I didn't enjoy and couldn't eat it because the spicy (I can't tell what exactly) was strong and a bit bitter. I wasn't forced to tip but I did gracefully because the service was good. The place was not packed (Friday and Saturday early afternoon) and wait time was quite fast. They do speak both French and English. The prices of food is good. I also tried the rice with shrimps and black pepper (something like that).
I loved how the shrimp was prepared. Note: this meal had no source I didn't expect that

Quick, freshly cooked warm Chinese food. Great choice for tourists like me who's always not getting enough intake of vegetables when traveling.

Ne faites pas couper vôtre canard pour emporter, il prennent une partie pour les assiette des autres clients, quand vous avez payé pour un canard complet.

They take credit card for transactions >$8. Some dishes can be hit or miss, but the freshly made rice crepes (savory) is not to be missed. Also the red bean ice dessert/drink! Porridge was just okay. Cantonese fried noodles were horrible. But five stars just for the freshly made rice crepes noodles which is not often seen.

Terrible. 100% terrible. I wish I read the reviews before we went in. I've never dined out at a place where I was unable to eat the food. We ordered 6 dishes.one bite of each.tried for a second bite but couldn't get past my nose.absolutely terrible. We left with all the food practically untouched.

The duck is a bit too salty, and the dim sum overcooked. However, the rest of the food was delicious and the portions were huge which is a big plus for me. The service was really fast and our food came in really fast. Overall a good place for traditional chinese food and the dim sum are usually well cooked.

I wish I could give more stars because the service was nice, but the food was just terrible. It wasn't fresh at all and even the sauce on the general tao couldn't hide the disgusting taste of the chicken.

Fast service, reasonable. Dim sum not good at all (tried three different), no flavor and no filling. Other dishes are OK. Should have gone to my tired and tested places, but wanted to see this one.

Food was great. I ordered the Curry beef brisket with white rice & the price wasn't bad at all & dont know about service I did take out.

Je commande un plat pour emporter.de retour a la maison j'apperçois que ce n'est pas le bon plat qu'ils m'ont donné. Je les appelles pour leur mentionné et tout ce qu'ils trouve a me dire "Sowwy wii close, pleese call back again". Peut importe je dis il me repete cette phrase et l'heure de fermeture supposement a 22h00 et quand j'ai appellé il n'etais que 21h30.incroyable

Kinda a cringe after saw so many negative reviews after took a seat inside. It’s kinda a cold place but food is not bad and cheap, and the service is okay.

La nourriture suinte l'huile et n'a pas de goût. Le service est peu attentionné et distrait. J'ai laissé un pourboire à la mesure de ma satisfaction, et je me suis fait enjoindre de laisser au moins 15 %, puisque c'est "obligatoire" (ce qui n'est absolument pas le cas). En plus d'avoir mal mangé, j'ai dû me faire traiter avec ingratitude après avoir payé.
