Not other culture friendly

The food is excellent. Issue is we've been treated differently. I looked arround, Other people were being given some nice hot tea on every single table. It was at least one asian on those table, not on our. We got fresh cold water (like the one i got in my fridge) with no asked of our opinion. When you go to an asian cusine, all you expect is the culture, some authenticitie. I know what it looks like when they give you a nice service as the first time i went there with a friend.
We should have got some take out. At least i would have eaten in the confort of my house.
Now i understand why some people don't go there. Somethings you learn the hard way
And this is why the world remain a bad place.

Since the other review tjat i left aboit 2 uears ago, we stop eating there. We were always getting food to go. Today, i called to order. Tjey told me to come and order in person. For those who know the place, there are stairs. I had a car seat to carry + my hand bag+ my other kid. I made it there, parking waa difficult to find. I place my order and i ask, how much it is. She told me the price and i paid and even got a bill with change. Another lady brought the order and shake her hand. The food was very hot. She PUT IT NEWS PAPER AND TOLD ME TO CARRY IT LIKE THAT.the other order were all in a plastic bag. Not mine. I usually place big order from this place. Not today.
We all work hard to get our money.
I said: i have a baby i can not carry that like that through the stairs. She insisted i could do it and finally told me to look on the paper, the plastic bag is 25cents.
REALLY! Safety 1st, did i complain about anything at all? NO
I ASK YOU HOW MUCH WAS THE ORDER.why on earth didn't you includ the 25 cents in it? I do not know if this should be called Racisme, one thing for sure, you have no heart.
No sens of business cause you showed me how much you value 25cents more than the order i place. It's called investement. You could have just told me the price with the bag included and said by the way i charde you for the bag as we pay for it. It would have been fine as nothing is free. 2 years and you never mention a price for the bag. I do not care if you charge me for it. You have a lot of attitude.
I thank you, i refered a lot of friends there. Asian, european, name it. An asian friend took me there once and that's how i know the place.
The food is great but respect come first. We live very fare from there. 45min no traffic. You lost a custumer for life.
I am taking my business elsewhere.
It doesn't matter how great the food is. The fact that you have that attitude take it all away. And here you are still wasting my time and energie as i am leaving a review. If you go there, know what ypu should espect.

Nourriture bonne (faites attention avec les quantités! Ils vont vous avertir) Service laisse à désirer.doit demander pour l'eau et difficile d'avoir l'attention de la serveuse.on a dû aller voir la madame a l'accueil pour payer la facture et pour des verres d'eau. **VENEZ PAS POUR L'AMBIANCE, la clientèle d'origine québécoise extrêmement raciste (mme quebs en train de compter le nb d'immigrants), la clientèle asiatique très snob. ** Nous avons manger sur place et commander à emporter!

The food was acceptable, the waiters unhelpful.we realized in the middle of the meal that there were cockroaches in the place, in the end we told the owner and the waitress and they were very rude

Ordered take out twice recently, the Fukien fried rice and beef chowmein are less tasty than previously

I think dimsum restaurants are harder to find today. Especially, the good ones. Each time I come here, it always made me think of the family time I had. Over all these years, I can can say their quality kept up with time.

For those that never worked in a restaurant, you will never understand the hardship these staffs are facing. When 1 waiter vs all customers, isn't it common sense that its hard to keep a smiley face while serving? As customers.damm.give some patience and respect and everything will go through.

Then people say: Why not hiring more staffs? Well. Ask yourself this question first: would you want to do that job? Miaow.you say no. Haha.people are reluctant to enter this industry because you know it.

Les plats étaient excellents et m'ont paru authentiques. C'était vraiment bon et savoureux globalement.

Nous avons pris des plats plutôt classiques: boeuf aux brocolis canadiens, nouilles sautés et riz frit. J'ai voulu essayer quelque chose d'épicé et y suit allé avec le poulet "Ge Le Shan". Délicieux. Couper grossièrement, le poulet contient des morceaux d'os qui peuvent gêner, mais les saveurs explosives compensent grandement ce petit désagrément. Ce plat est un réel délice! Tout était bon d'ailleurs!

Les assiettes sont généreuses. Très satisfait! Je recommande chaudement!

I've only ordered through Uber eats. Their vegetable Shanghai noodles are really good for a quick north american Chinese fare fix! Gotta try more from their menu and keep giving reviews on each dish. I've eaten half from my take out and had 5 pieces of tofu so far with lots of onions and green peppers. Flavor is on point. Great yummy meals! Thank you Foo Lam!

I personally did not like the service. Waiting time is so long. The employees don’t respond to you respectfully when you ask someone. One of the employee gave us 4 cups of water when we were 5. When we asked for the 5th cup she said you have a water bottle even tho water bottle was empty. I find it disturbing that even tho we have a beverage your still supposed to give the best service to everyone and feel welcomed.

Ordered $100 worth of food for delivery.
Everything was excellent! Not too bland not too salty. Well balanced flavor and was very fresh!

1st, the restaurant is on 2nd floor and no signs saying where's they are.
2nd, the food isn't that good, and some are a lot more expensive than Toronto, also quality isn't right.
The ONLY GOOD THING is that, the service know what they are doing, treat costumer polite.

We've always enjoyed dining in but had a disappointing experience ordering for delivery from this place. The portion was so extremely small (barely a few bites) and one item that we really looked forward to trying was missing from the bag.

Went back for another 8 course meal with family of 8 and the portions were sooooo generous that we brought leftovers home (they supplied takeout containers and we brought our own bag to pack them into). It was a quiet evening at the resto with 3 tables and towards the end of our meal, a group of about 14 young men came to dine and livened up the atmosphere, lol. The waitress was super great throughout our meal and funny with her interaction with the big group. They were also doing a very healthy takeout business that night. We heard the resto was fully booked for the 2 days of Mothers Day weekend. Too bad we couldn't stay longer, other commitments were waiting.

Moi et mon frère avions attendus plus de 35 minutes (presque 40 minutes) pour se faire servir. Très déçue, puisque je commandais sur Uber eats très souvent de ce restaurant et avait hâte de finalement y aller. Je n'ai jamais été aussi mal servie dans un restaurant. Le pire c'est qu'il n'y avait pas tant de clients. Les serveurs faisaient que nous ignorer et nous faire attendre une éternité pour une petite commande de 3 plats. Et nous allions en plus payer le prix régulier (même pas les spéciaux du midi). Endroit à éviter.

Went to Foo Lam on the recommendation of a long time dim sum afficinado and friend. The location was too close to my dance studio to not try it though Tong Por on Laurentian is still my fav.
Dim Sum on a Monday at 2 o'clock when the chariots are idle and many Chinese restaurants are closed is not a good idea but an other visit to Costco for hot dogs, fries or ice cream was not in the cards for me on this rainy day.

Foo Lam has the traditional system of order where you choose on paper from a large number of dumpling like choices.
To my surprise, the four items in bamboo baskets arrived promptly with vapour rising which is an indication of freshness.

Each of the dim sum plates had generous portions. Spicing could have been a little more pronounced but the soumai, beef soumai, chicken feet and pork spareribs were satisfactory though not as delicate as I have previously experienced.

I will definitely go back. Foo Lam is up a seedy stairwell on a second floor above Chez Cora. Kudos to the staff and restaurant for their readiness at the time that I wandered into an empty room with only the fish tanks to keep me company.

Sorry guys I loved your restaurant and ordered food there but not anymore. It was disgusting today! Only rice was eatable.

Food was great but service was terrible. The waitress was very rude. I don’t know if she is the owner. Just for food I am giving 3 stars.

Ok Cantonese food, good lobster and BC crab and excellent tofu dessert. But the Tall waitress who still works there demaded more the 20% tip we gave. Service was ok, she must be the bosses girlfriend. MANY OTHERS said the same thing. We try and give them business post covid, but there is lots of other chinewe options and we can go to chinatown as a back up.

NOTE TO MANAGEMENT- even if she is your wife, girlfriend or family member how long do Loyal customers will go back for embarrassing service. I was there for new years for take out and Tall waitress yelled at uber driver (3 times) for his $500 order. Why? He did not order it lady.

Friendly service, fresh and hot food. I order 30 minutes before closing and the food was very good. I love their hot and sour soup is to die for. It’s the typical classic Chinese restaurant wit good food but bad decor. I will come back for sure.

L'ambiance très ordinaire et la toilette semble pas une priorité dans la propreté.

Très dispendieux pour un restaurant ordinaire. Le thé n'est jamais réchauffé.

J'adore les Dim Sum's qui viennent dans des petits plats de bambou à la vapeur! Beaucoup de variétés et super service à la clientèle!

The food here is amazing, imo one of the best in this city, however.the service is one of the worst, went for a friend's birthday, and when it was time to pay, the owner (older lady), said not enough tips! For a total of $109, my friend paid $125, and the owner said, not enough tips. THAT'S ILLEGAL! THAT'S EXTORTION! THAT'S A FRAUD! To avoid confrontation my friend paid an extra $10, Revenue Quebec should investigate this place. Go for the food, and when it's time to pay, pay by card and leave minimum tip!
