I placed order on uber at 10: 30ish and it got cancelled without any reason as they close at 12am. Highly disappointed would never recommend someone.

The spicing on the food was exquisite! I was originally nervous because I am not as familiar with Northern Indian food, but I ordered something entirely new to me (Vagharelo Rotlo) and was so impressed! Would recommend this place. Also, the chef came out and explained some of the properties of the food and spicing, which was really interesting.

Wonderful experience

We ordered sev puri twice as the taste was good but they need to work on the water content. From sweet sauce (charged extra) to yogurt, everything was too watery. Malai kofta was okay. I like the generous portion of chole poori but there was no flavor or spices in chole. Aloo paratha was nicely cooked but again no flavors.

I had an amazing experience at Foodine. I tried the Surati Unlimited Taali and Unlimited Chaat, both of which were simply delicious. The use of fresh ingredients and traditional spices made each dish stand out in its own way. It truly felt like I was enjoying authentic Gujarati cuisine right in the heart of town. The staff was attentive and ensured a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.

Amazing food! Excellent taste and very good service. Had great experience having undhiyu Puri, Wada Pav, and Dabeli. Loved it! They even played my songs like “Ik Firangi Sapna” when requested. Highly recommended!

If you want to try Gujarati food then you should visit this place. I went there yesterday with my family and had Undhiyu Puri. It was delicious. I will recommend this place for Gujarati dishes… Staff was very responsive and prompt in service.

The authenticity is maintained, best gujarati indian food. They also have chai and garam garam thepla for morning breakfast.

The undhiyu was very bad.despite a gallon of oil in it.expected better from a gujarati restaurant.

Ordered thali and samosas (delivery). Their portions are very generous, and everything was nicely packed. However, the taste was disappointing. I’ve tried many palak paneers and samosas, but the flavours were very different here. The palak paneer had an overpowering taste that was unpleasant, I wonder if it was too much fenugreek? While the samosas were good, their sweet dipping sauce was also weird, again too much of some kind of spice? The eggplant mash (Baingan Bharta) was ok but very spicy, the dish description didn’t mention that…my mouth is still on fire?

I messaged the owner of Foodine the day before a dinner party for 15 in a panic to see if they would help me put together a vegan meal. He and his wife, who prepares the food, came through beautifully! The food was delicious, and the owner went above and beyond in providing me with detailed instructions about which sauces to put with the various dishes. My guests and I had so much fun putting everything together and even texted with the owner a few times with questions. The food was wonderful and our experience was enriched by the generosity and kindness of the owners. We will definitely order from Foodine again, both for the quality of the food and because it feels good to patronize a business run by such lovely people. Just be aware that Gujarati food is SPICY. I love it, but customers with non-habituated palates may wish to ask for the heat to be turned down a little:)

I ordered a Badam Milkshake and didn’t like it at all. It was taste like water. Please never order it here.

Food was amazing speciallly rose falooda u made me remind my childhood days with that mango candy. Now i would like to come on point of my i m posting reviews as i font usually do that was just going through comments and really found negative comments from yesterday. Guys u are also indian nd hope whatever happend yesterday from bottom of heart you know your attitude was wrong waitress was super polite and its not her demand she needs vaccination proof if u have issue with this go nd fight with quebec government. While observing that issue i really felt ashamed being indians being student u guys know that everyone is away from family strugling ur bad comments bad reviews can actually hurt them and what the ficking attitude u were showing we dnt want to eat here. Did foodine invited you or requested you to order from them. From next time be generous to people serving you if u were at her place what would u do its not india that she is doing labour job or low level job. Her capability of serving you with such an agressive behaviour was amazing. If i would be that i would have called cops. From next time be generous nd better this time go and apologize her for your behaviour. She is just doing her job and its not in her hands to break the government rule. We (4) of us served by u specially when u were closed and we were still in the middle of eating you were so calm relaxed and did not rushed at all. Thanks for being such a great server. Will definitely recommend my friends to try your food. We loved that food and stafff is super amazing.

I highly recommend this restaurant to taste Indian street food! Employees are super friendly and attentive. From my personal experience i recommend their puff, muskabun for appetizers and premium thali for main course. You will have different options of curries to choose from! I always eat bhindi masal and butter paneer masala. So delicious. However, They still need to improve their chai. But overall they are doing great.

The food here is INCREDIBLE! It's unlike any Indian food you have had in the city. SO tasty and the Thali plates are SO GENROUS! We have been multiple times since it's opened and telling everyone about it! The staff is SO NICE! Chef is SO SWEET! Owner Rikal *not sure I spelt it right* but he is on the right track with this incredible spot! We will continue to go back and honestly I almost don't want to share it as it's a cute little nook on Queen Mary and absolutely AMAZING! Honestly. Only thing I was missing.naan bread but it's not part of their area so they don't have it but ALL the breads good.still wish they also had a na'an bread option as it really is amazing! And the breads are fried. BUT VERY good! HIGHLY recommend EVERYONE TRY IT! They will help you decide what to order! ENJOY. And you're welcome!:)

Worst restaurant ever. They served me very old basundi because of which I got sick next day. I wasted my money. They try to fool ppl by intentionally giving bad food for money sake

Leurs currys sont savoureux. Leur pains frais sont délicieux. Ils offrent d'excellentes portions à un prix très raisonnable. C'est définitivement un endroit à visiter pour les personnes de plats végétariens (ou juste de nouvelles saveurs)!

The food they provide is the best. Best part is service the server serves very good, she is calm and patient and she explained menu in such a way that i cannot resist myself buying more than one item. She takes feedback before paying bill and infact while dine in, she asked several times if we need something even though it was closing hours but she did not rushed us and we took our time and enjoyed food. And worst part is some customers don't value the service i was their yesterday eating with my family and group of 4 came for dine in one of them was having trouble with vaccination code. However she asked them to do take out as its restricted by government to dine in without vaccination proof and those indian guys were so rude that actually made me to write the review. Owner needs to support such employees who really value customers and serves in such a manner. Will definitely see you soon.

Worst ever management. The waiters dont know even how to talk and deal. 3 times the same incident. The girl over there is spoiling the bussiness. I dont know how the owner is not still tolerating that girl.

Explaining the full incident is he had two ids ot even one. License se with picture and dob. Just the difference was he had added middle name to license amd passport. A id with picture and full name if u dont consider as id i dont know how to please for it. I love your food thats why we come over there again and again. But through this review i was trying to wake u up to help customers but dont think u could help. Check the cameras and see we shown the porper ids or not please. And it was second time ur front desk girl did this. So please review the incidents well and reply over here. Dont misguide ur dear customers

Moreover she was indian and know each and everything about names and all and then even she cant cooperate i dont know who else can. The airport authority, the flight attendents, the government accept his proofs but not that girl, sorry sir pleaseeee think it. Think it twice. We are not humilators we like your food and appreciate and the review was for your betterment to sort this out in future and guide her. I feel sorru for you again

The front desk girl don’t know even how to deal and speak with the customer. We come here just due to food but she is really spoiling the business. Suggesting owner to focus on that

The receptionist always create a issue with the dealing and becausr of that many customers i have seen getting effected in front of me and even with me. Hope next time owner will focus on this and prevent the future mishappenings

Honestly, one one the best Indian restaurant in Montreal. Very unique yet authentic Gujrati Indian food. My boyfriend and I go there at least once a week.

I wish I can give more star. Actually I don't have words for admiration because its beyond that. At one point I felt like I am in india specially for Undhiyu puri and Kathiyavadi thali. I will prefer this restaurent as first choice in montreal.

I ordered food online two times from this restaurant, each order i missed my items! When i called the restaurant to complain the guy said contact doordash to refund? Like what everytime i need to get refunds? I mean i need my food with all the items not refunds always!
This time i ordered half thali and i received the curry without rotis, how m i supposed to eat curry alone without rotis? Totally disappointing, will not be ordering anymore from them.

One of the best PURE VEG restaurants that I’ve visited in Montréal. Nice Ambiance. I’ve been to this place several times and regularly order food. This time I ordered Panipuri and Premium Thali. I expected Panipuri to be hot but when I had it felt like eating ice cube (too Cold). I enjoyed Thali. Roties are too good without Oil even they are not that much hot. Paneer Butter masala was little bit sweet even though I mentioned extra spicy. Dal makhni is good. I didn’t like Gujrathi Dal from dal rice in Thali. When I mentioned the same thing to the person over there he kindly got me dal tadka which is very good.

The reason why I gave 1 star is because the portions are big. Now let me explain how it went south. I ordered 2 thali plates on UberEats. At some point I gagged while eating it. Then we found multiple hairs in it. Had to throw the whole thing away.

I ordered thrice from the restaurant, never faced any problems. However this time i placed an order of bread pakoda & falooda, the order was incomplete. I didn't receive Falooda, on top of that i was really craving for it as i am pregnant.

Samosas served to us were cold from Inside so not good for samosas but other food items like Pav Bhaji and stuff pretty good!

Cheap quality! Felt terrible after eating their vada paan. And faloooda was also cheap. Owners improve the quality, you are in CANADA now

This is the best restaurant I have ever visited here in Montréal. There is no other restaurant in the market with such a good food standards and customer satisfaction. I made visit here many time. Every time I see customers leaving restaurant with a smiling faces.

After landing in canada i have went to other indian restaurant but for kathiyawadi food this restaurant is the best option. Especially their bajra breads its one of the best mouth watering item. Quantity is also good and best place to eat when any of your indian friend who loves gujarati food.
Free tip: - You need to be hungry for whole day if you want a full meal in a day.

Amazing experience

I have had Foodine food service for almost 4 months. I loved the food and following are the things I would like to highlight:

1. Quality- Homely food, Fresh and I never felt it is made of cheap ingredients.

2. Variety- Amazing variety of food mostly Daal coupled with veggies and on saturday there is special street food like vada pav, pav bhaji or Dabeli. Occasionally sweet dishes are also provided.

3. Punctuality- Never ever they missed delivering my food on time. If they are closed (which rarely happens), Vishal from Foodine informs before hand. Please note they don’t deliver on weekend.

4. Price- Full meal is 295$ with delivery. I believe a full meal is sufficient for 2-3 persons. Half meal is $195 with delivery is sufficient for 1-2 people. Therefore, Per meal per person costs around 5-6$ which is very reasonable.
Please note they don’t deliver on weekend and they deliver around 20-21 days a month.

Overall amazing food, great price and quality. Vishal the founder takes feedback very diligently. I would highly recommend Foodine.
