Wow! Incredible, delicious very well seasoned food. My new go to spot. By far the best one in the island for Eritrean/Ethiopian food. Amazing will definitely come back!

Incredible food, on par with the Ethiopian and Eritrean food I’ve had in Philadelphia and DC. Restaurant looks a little sketchy when you walk in and food takes a while to come out but that’s how you know it will be good:) Well worth the wait, a hidden gem that deserves more recognition!

Wonderful, affordable East African food at a friendly neighbourhood restaurant. What a treat, especially in Montreal where similar offerings are much more expensive. The veggie combo and the meat/veg combo have plenty of food—where else can you feel 3-4 people for $40? You can get a wide variety of veg dishes rather than some places where vegetables are just an afterthought.

A wonderful introduction to Eritrean food, our first time here, and it was a very nice experience with a great variety of tasty food. We had the meat plate, and next time, we will be sure to save some room for Ethiopian coffee!

This spot is worth a detour. As a lover of anything served on injera, I was thrilled to discover this new place, and Eritrean food in general. We ordered a meat & veggie combo plate, and every bite was delicious and a great value. This is now one of my favourite restaurants in the city and I can't wait to go back!

Fresh, authentic, delicious Ethiopian food. Really nice to have in the neighborhood, cuz who doesn't love Ethiopian food? Tasty meat dishes, but also great for vegetarians. Very healthy and nutritious. Friendly staff. Did takeout, and food was ready at estimated time. Looks like a cute space to eat in as well.

Just had a delicious authentic meal (ordered the meat and veggie combo platter) ; generous portions that were well spiced; the hosts were super friendly and answered all our questions about the food; the Ethiopian coffee was a superb experience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the decor is a bit stark and my daughter was not a fan of the incense. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food. Food will take time to get ready, But staff is nice. They should work on the washroom area more. But ill go back for the delicious food for sure.

This is a very unassuming restaurant from the outside, but we must not judge books by the cover.

Food is incredible, the ambience is relaxed, and the service is some of the best I have ever experienced in a restaurant.

My partner have an tremendous affinity for injera, and after hearing about Nakfa, we needed to gift it a try. We go regularly, and every single time it's absolutely amazing.

The owners of the restaurant literally treat you like family, and it makes the dining experience intimate and extremely enjoyable. On a special occasion when we dined there, they went out of their way to create custom dishes for us, and ended up leaving us feeling extremely satisfied, and to be honest it was one of the best dining experiences we ever had.

Listen to me: please dine here. Support a small local business that deserves the business. In a time where delivery services are ubiquitous, go and dine in person and give your money to a business that deserves it; they certainly do. If you've never tried injera, it's something excellent to try. Enjoy, and here is to Nakfa!

Lovely experience. Great staff who were very patient explaining the different dishes to our group, spice levels etc and very accommodating. Meal was absolutely delicious, nice meat & veg combo plate for 1-2 people, and yummy tea. Highly recommend.

This place used to be a produce store but the past months has been a restaurant. It’s an unassuming “hole in the wall” location but the food is absolutely amazing (we drove from Vermont just to dine there). We got the meat combo and the veggie combo which were a perfect sampling of the dishes on offer. The staff are extremely friendly which rounds out a perfect authentic dinning experience. If we lived closer we would eat here nearly every day. Highly recommend this place for anyone one looking for amazing food.

Excellent find, a great little restaurant tucked away. The atmosphere is homly but the food it delicious and at a very reasonable price. The service is friendly and bother the cuisine and the decor are authentic.

Got the veggie platter to share with a friend; the portion size was ample, we had leftovers from our meal. The food was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. Very flavourful. Cozy little restaurant with a very homely feel.
