Ganges Restaurant

Very, very tasty. I enjoyed the experience. The iterior is very pleasant. The service has been more than acceptable every time I've visited. I come here on a regular basis and will probably continue to do so.

Ganges is definitely not what it used to be. We used to have to fight to get a reservation but we went into an empty, very dated restaurant. The food was good but there were dirty tablecloths on at least 2 of the tables with stuck-on food, we were given water but was told they have no ice (it was a hot day and Indian food is spicey). Very dismal atmosphere, The pandemic is effectively passed and if they want customers to come back they should upgrade like most other restos do, to make it more inviting. We won't be going back.have to think about if we'll do any ordering on-line.

J’ai commandé sur Ubereats, j’ai reçu un plat sans le riz aux légumes, bien que c’était cité dans la description du plat. Bien sûr Ubereats refuse de rembourser parce que selon eux: le riz est un condiment:)
Bon c’est correct, je regarde les plats, trop gras en apparence mais je me dis vu que les notes sont bonnes, on va y goûter…résultat intoxication de 3 jours et ça dure encore…les deux plats commandés finissent à la poubelle, plus les deux jours maladie que j’ai pris du travail! Donc svp mettez des reviews réelles la prochaine fois!

Decent food. Horrible service. Was told food would be delivered in an hour. It took two hours. Very disappointing.

Really good food. Smells so good. Genuine guys. If you're a bit on a budget, just talk to them, they're wizards.

A basic restaurant.i won't say indian one.dishes were not mild.but sweet.service was good but unfortunately i would not say this is an indian cuisine.the waiter tried to convince us (Indians) that mild= sweet.the tandoori chicken was mild.the biryani was spicy.but the rest of curries.sweet.kindly update your kitchen diaries.or train your cooks.to learn the difference between flavors. 1 star is only 4 the service.

Wow. This is not the old Ganges that I knew from years back when I lived in NDG. I couldn't even recognize the dishes when they arrived-the Kashmir chicken was overcooked and swimming in a bright yellow curry sauce with lychees (!?) and no subtlety whatsoever. I thought it was Mulligatawny soup at first that had been delivered by mistake. The shrimp Biryani was just some curried rice and boiled shrimp. The chutney was just terrible. And for the poor quality, it actually cost a lot of money. This is disappointing, and it certainly is not fine Indian cuisine. I very much looked forward to this, but hey-I can do better in my own kitchen.

Delicious. I ate the multi course tasting meal. There was careful attention to detail and the food came out fabulous. They use wood burning stoves which give their nan and meats great textures.

Food is consistently excellent and it is my favorite Indian restaurant. Unfortunately, the timing of the service is very difficult. It takes them a long time to serve you when you are in the restaurant which is ok. When you order to pick up or deliver, it is impossible. This evening I ordered over the phone and they told me it would be ready at 7: 45PM. I arrived on time and they kept on ignoring me for 10 minutes even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. I finally had to yell at them to get their attention at which point they said it would be "maybe 20 minutes". No apologies or explanations. I told them that this was no way to treat their customers and left.
