Good authentic Lebanese cuisine. Seems like a small family run business but they are up at par with any other Lebanese restaurant. There grilled food is amazing.

Really enjoyed this hidden gem in downtown Montreal - the Muhammara was delicious, as were the veg kibbeh! The garlic potatoes were not bad - just wish the pita had been fresh, but can’t blame them at their volumes / turnover!

The food was amazing! I usually don't order chicken I'm glad I did it was like butter awesome. Everything was incredible! The server was also awesome forgot to get her name.

2 ¾ Stars: I hate giving terse, un-nuanced reviews but despite its inviting branding and decor; overpriced, hipsterized, white-washed, and soul-lacking Shami food is all Garage Beirut amounted to be.

One of the best places to eat in Montreal, for sure. I've been there twice already. It's a small place but very cozy, and the food.amazing!

Best Lebanese food in Montreal. Delicious fattoush, sojok and shish taouk. Hole-in-the-wall, but friendly and efficient service, cool background music. Limited but decent wine list. Excellent value for money. We'll be back.

The fatteh hummus was delicious, however the hummus lahmeh was very small in portion size and there was barely any meat on top of it so I didn't feel like the price was justified for such a small dish that was basically just 95% hummus. Also, the hummus lahmeh was cold which is not what we expected (if a dish has meat with it, it should be warm). All in all, I don't feel the price was justified for the portion sizes.

Tabboule pick up costs 18$ for a small one person portion without olive oil or lemon. Not acceptable

I used to come eat at Garage beirut last year at least once every two-three months. This year, some things have changed. I went and had lunch there last sunday with my cousin and her boyfriend and had an extremely terrible experience. First of all, the glasses were dirty and there was some sort of insect that was floated to the top once i poured the pepsi in. We ordered filet mignon platter, i mean seriously, it came charcoal black from outside but somehow the inside was still RAWW! We told the waitress and they cooked them some more. As a lebanese person, and a lebanese owned restaurant you would expect some sort of apology or something to make up for all the terrible things, but no! NOTHING! We just got the bill l, paid and left. Anyways, still craving my little Lebanese munchies, i tried to give it another shot today and picked it up instead. I actually am so sad but i will no longer visit this restaurant anymore. I got garlic potatoes that are so soggy, it is insane. (i live 4 mins by walk from the resto) and no coriander whatsoever. The hummus bi lahme: 1/10: the meat came super hard and black not tender at ALLLLL. Filet mignon sandwich 7/10.

Garage Beirut est un excellent restaurant où tout est bon ; c'est comme à la maison. Chaque plat que j'ai commandé est délicieux et les desserts, ohh waaw il vaut mieux réserver car peu de tables. La carte offre un bon choix, les prix sont moyens. Petite terrasse très agréable sur la rue Mackay. Pas d'accès en chaise roulante. Allez-y, ça vaut vraiment le détour. Je recommande fortement.

Not the best pic I know.however their spicy shish taouk is a must try! Very appetizing! In general, every item there is very delicious. 10/10

Fatteh Lahme Hummus, garlic sauce and chili shish taouk were amazing. Entrees were super refreshing. Cozy and intimate vibes. Great for a family dinner or a friend's outing!

Great place for some middle eastern food.

The seasoning of the meats is amazing and cooked perfectly on a consistent basis (not dry, has always been juicy).

Service is very friendly and fast.

In my opinion, this is the best spot for authentic and delicious Lebanese food in all of Montreal (and I’ve lived in Lebanon for 20 years)! The food is incredibly fresh every time, the ambience makes me feel like I’m in Beirut again, and the service is top-notch. Don’t think twice if delicious, fresh, authentic Lebanese food is on your list!

Delicious food and left our taste buds asking for more. We ordered many things and shared, it's the beet way to go to try as many items as possible. Highly recommend for tasty Lebanese food.

Très déçue de ce resto. Quand nous sommes arrivés à 17h à l'ouverture, çà sentait les égouts. L'huile dans le labneh était rance. Les feuilles de vigne étaient médiocres. Mon compagnon n'a pas aimé son tartare de boeuf qui ressemblait davantage à de la nourriture pour chat en boite qu'à un tartare. Et le tartare n'était vraiment pas bon. Bref, ce n'est pas un resto que je recommande. Par contre, la serveuse était très gentille. Bon service mais très mauvais plats.

Went there for iftar with my friends, the food and service was great. Would definitely go again in the future.

The hummus was one of the best we had in a restaurant. The meat was extremely well cooked. Staff was friendly and kind enough to give us a place even there were reservations. Also it was iftar time so they took special care of their muslim clients so the food was on time.

Fantastic food in a little downstairs restaurant. There isn’t a ton of space but we didn’t mind. All the foods we had were delicious. We especially loved the pastry plate and the steak

Great food, kind server, cozy setting and a central location, downtown Montreal. I particularly liked the Babaghanoush. The meats could have used a but more salt to bring out the flavours in my opinion, but nothing that ruined The experience

Always an incredible meal! I highly recommend the garlic potatoes, the Haloumi cheese, the Kafta and the dip tasting plate. Service is great as well - I've been about 5 times now.

Wonderful food. We tried the Turkish coffee, muhamarra and chilli shish taouk. Everything was extremely flavorful, well balanced and delicious.

It's a small-ish cafe with a beautiful ambience but just one server, who we felt a little bad for working all the tables alone. Quite busy with lot of takeout orders as well. Reservation recommended but they did accommodate us on the spot on a Sunday evening.

Good, but not great. The potatoes and garlic sauce aren't better than Basha and the moussaka had too much tomato for my liking.

Wow. The best Lebanese food in town! Good prices and their fatayers with minced ground beef are really good. Their tabouleh is delicious, the yalanjes are even better! Even the hummus and the toom yummy! The bathroom is clean. There is of course a bathroom. The staff is really nice and we gave them a big tip:) some servers speak Arabic too:) AGAIN, the food is amazing, you must try!

The knafa tasted bad and we askes to soeak to the chef, he said we don't know how to eat and that our taste for food is faulty, we spoke respectfully yet he was talking in avery derogatory way, he said that if you don't like knafa.

Finally came for the first time last week and absolutely loved it! One of my newest favourite restaurants. Sooo glad I discovered this place.

Great food. I am vegetarian so it was perfect for everyone who ate meat as well. They have few small dishes they will fill you up.

Pretty expensive but very tasty. I had the hummus which comes in a very big portion (comes with pita). Had the assorted pastry plate of hot mezzes which were very good, especially the kibbeh and rikakat bil jabneh (fried cheese sticks)! The arayess kafta was nicely seasoned and quite filling. First time I had those kind of desserts: the kenafeh was nice and crunchy, it comes with syrup which adds that nice sweetness to it. The Mafroukeh had a very sweet graham like base, topped with cheese and lots of nuts.

The food was really tasty and the place very cozy but there was some delaying in the service it seemed due to the place size. Otherwise I recommend it.

Most importantly for me, the food served was cold and wasnt a good experience. After ages went to a restaurant to dine in wanting to heat hot fresh food but sadly dint get what I wanted.

Visited Garage Beirut, having heard of their excellent mashewe and charcoal grilled food, and I was thoroughly impressed with an order of shish taouk and fattoush. The sandwich was full of delicious morsels of char grilled chicken and a garlic laden coleslaw that added a delicious tang. A fattoush salad was fresh and especially tasty with the generous addition of pomegranate molasses. Fries were average, tossed in rosemary, but still lacking slightly in taste and texture.

This was so good! I ordered several things and they were all amazing. The dip platter, both salads, the chicken skewers, olives, the fatte lahme was unbelievable and the kanape dessert. I am thrilled about finding this place and everything also tasted healthy and fresh. I was craving a satisfying healthy meal and this was exactly what I needed. This entire meal was enough for 2 people and we will have a small amount of left overs tomorrow.

My wife and I got chicken brochettes (I tried the chili version - wonderful!) with fatouche and hummus. Everything was great! The meat very tender and tasty, the most garlicky and firm sauce, yummy hummus and even the pita is tastier and thinner than the usual. A special shout-out for the fatouche with pomegranate!

Mon epouse et moi avons choisi les brochettes de poulet (j’ai essayé la version chili - merveilleux!) avec fatouche et houmous. Tout était super! La viande très tendre et savoureuse, la sauce a l'ail la plus savoureuse et ferme, le houmous délicieux et même le pita est plus savoureux et plus mince que d’habitude. Un coup de coeur pour la fatouche avec de la grenade!

J'ai commandé via Uber Eats, je n'ai pas reçu la bonne commande. J'ai appelé le restaurant, personne ne parlait français. On m'a dit qu'il ne pouvait rien faire, de ma plaindre à Uber et de "f**k off". Never again!

Delicious filet mignon sandwich. Reasonably priced. They have sincere affection for their product.

Garage Beirut is my favourite Lebanese restaurant in Montreal. I've been going there since they opened almost 10 years ago. Naji, the owner, is highly passionate about Lebanese food and it shows. They have the best mezzes! I love their fattoush and baba ghannouj. Their meats are delicious! You really can't go wrong. I've since moved from Montreal, but overtime I visit, I make sure to drop by Garage Beirut <3.

As someone who grew up in lebanon, i find that this is one of the rare lebanese restaurants in montreal who actually serve good lebanese food.it’s delicious and not overpriced for the quality!

Good and cozy restaurant, small with good atmosphere, good service, fair prices for the quality and amount of food. Libanese restaurant. Their food is really filling so do not ask much first so that you start eating and as you go you order more as they prepare it super fast, under 5 minutes and your food is ready. Recommended.

Had an excellent meal with a smooth glass of Arak. The food was tasty and reminded me of good restaurants in the Middle East. Very small dining room, but quite cozy and the Kibbe Niyyeh was excellent! Both hot and cold Mezze dishes were very tasty and the barbecue Mashawi were delicious.

Only issue was the bulkhead behind the chair by the window, really bothered my wife. The owner/manager immediately sat is at another table. I recommend not setting at that table!

Otherwise, perfect experience!

Hummus was served much earlier than the main dish. Expensive price for a plate of chicken shish with very little garlic and parsley. The Knafeh was dry and not fresh. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

An absolute must when I visit Montreal. Everything on the menu is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.

Tasty food, very cozy place and outstanding service. Make sure to do a reservation because the place is usually full. I suggest you to try the Mix if you want to get into Lebanese food. For salads i recommend the Fatouche and Taboule.

I suggest calling to book a table before you go. Its small and ALWAYS packed. Probably the best Lebanese food I've had in Canada.

Good tasting Lebanese food, probably the best imitation food in Montreal you'd get outside Lebanon. Overpriced food though and smallish portions.

We come here for team lunches all the time. It’s excellent middle eastern. The whole ten person team loves it.

It is a snug and cosy diner on McKay Street, which has limited tables. We visited without any reservations on a Saturday evening, and as expected, the restaurant was at fill capacity. We had to wait for around 10 minutes before we were seated.

The service was very pleasant and courteous. The starters we ordered were quite delicious. The main course was good too. No complaints regarding the quality of food. Price is not so bad, serving size was fine too. We had a good time. Will definitely visit again.

Very good Lebanese food. Great vibe! You feel like you're in Beirut enjoying a mezza. The price is a little high.

Food is expensive, the plate came without any side expat little bit of garlic sauce. I should take a picture. But I was shocked and the place is not great.

I was spending a weekend in Montreal with some friends and I was looking to eat something that I hadn't tried before. After a quick search online I found this place. The Garage Beirut is very quaint and cozy with a warm atmosphere. The food here was phenomenal and the service was excellent. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Next time I'm in the area I am definitely revisiting this place to try some other items on the menu.

I was really excited to eat there but I ended up being disappointed! The reason why is because of the horrible service. Me and my girlfriend were waiting for 20 minutes to be served.we told her that we were ready and she still didn’t acknowledge us. She kept serving other people and walking by us.won’t be coming back unfortunately. We went at Mirage instead which was next door and we’re very satisfied.

It's a very small place with limited tables. I went there with no reservations on a Sunday night and had to wait 20 minutes before being seated. The food is good but I found the garlic potatoes to be a bit dry. The service was good and out waiter was super nice.

Garage Beirut is a hidden gem with delicious Lebanese food and great service. The chicken brochets are especially tasty, and the hummus is yummy as well.

Very high quality food. Nice Kabab beef and chicken. Local Alcoholic beverages. It is Halal restaurant. Nice staff. Very cozy. It is better to reserve a table before going there.

Best Lebanese food in montreal by far. Chef keeps the dishes interesting (especially to someone who grew up on Lebanese food) and consistently excellent.

Having been to many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants, I found the food lacking. Pitas that looked identical to the ones available in the grocery store for $1 came in plastic bags, withered and deflated grape leaf wraps, and the hummus and spinach balls lacked any sort of spice. The Turkish coffee was alright as well as the muhammura. I don't know if it was an off-night, despite it being a Saturday, but the service was subpar and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern food. It's a decent place for a night out if your wallet is tight and you're at a bar in the neighbour

Yes the place is a bit small, but wow the food is amazing! Real authentic Lebanese food, made with quality and not trash like many resteraunts now a days, which is very difficult to find in Montreal. Definitley one of the best Lebanese resteraunts and would definitely go again!
