Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival

Le festival était excellent en ce beau samedi de septembre 2023. Malheureusement, le vent a empêché l'envol des montgolfières. Il y a avait de tout, chanteurs, musiciens, activités pour les jeunes, de la lutte comme une fête foraine.
Tout était dispendieux mais cela va avec la période dans laquelle nous vivons.

Événement annuel que j'adore. Voir les Montgolfières montés si haut me fascine et me donne un coeur d'enfants. Les spectacle et activités de ces 4 jours sont vraiment bien organisés.

Très beau festival, très inclusif de par sa diversité musicale, les activités proposées, les installations pour mobilité réduite et la diversité de food trucks. Super ambiance cette année!

Bonne musique, pleins de food trucks et rafraîchissements, beaucoup de manèges et nous pouvons payer par cartes débit et crédit partout.

Es ce qu'ils y a d'autres personnes dans ma situation? J'ai payé pour 1 envolée pour 2 personnes (800$) en 2022, supposé être remis en 2023 mais depuis toujours des excuses et aucune communication de leur part si je ne leur écris pas moi même. Problème d'assurance (délai de permis pour volé) mais mettre déjà en vente des envolées pour 2023 quand le 3/4 de 2022 n'ont pas réussi a voler? Ils me disait mi mai- juin et toujours aucunes nouvelles de leur part.

I know that games are there to make money but the guys with the game were you throw darts to burst ballons they are thiefs.they talk 100 milles à minutes so it's not clear.wen all they should say is if you want a stuffed animal just give me 20$. They are lyers thiefs and they get away with it.tired of these scams and that's all they are is scamers but i guess its aloud in these places. I tried to say something but he said he didn't serv me.he fn did so.never again.sorry for my writing I know awful loll but I'm not robbing anyone.

Decided to give it a try after not going for 4 years (prices have been extreme) Never again, majority of everyone was nice that is not an issue. Its the fact of for a family of 4 it was $196.00 to get into the fair and be able to ride the rides. There was maybe 4 9 tents there with vendors (in previous years there was rows and rows of tents to shop and look at), there was not as many rides as advertised and because of that lines were so long it was not enjoyable for the kids especially riding the same ones over. We did not get to see the balloons at all. I get the weather sometimes they cannot go up and that is fine HOWEVER for the night light up (when you pay the price you do for the ticket) it should be mandatory all balloon participates light up their balloons on the grounds for at least 20 min display. It was sooo much better years ago, way more balloons to see, so many vendors, ride and people it was great now its honestly just sad with the lack of stuff there for the amount you pay. Never again will we be back.

Y voir coeur de pirate en concert, à 6h du matin, c'est mémorable. Très bonne ambiance, staff très sympathique

It's the same old fun. Nobody wearing masks. We did the rides, and it seems like there are much less than previous years.

Première experience et certainement pas la dernière, surtout si les Cowboys Fringants reviennent.

Pourquoi samedi le 4 septembre 2021 il avait moins de monde que le vendredi et moi je cherchais des billets et le site du FMG disait complet?

Plaisir assuré. Attractions stimulantes. Spectacles divertissants qui donnent envie de chanter et danser. Les envolées sont de toutes beautés. Les bénévoles sont tous aidants et courtois. Les camions restaurants tous délicieux. Les feux d'artifices te redonnent ton coeur d'enfant. Ça vaut le détour chaque année.

We literally went and paid for the balloons to inflate and go up. And today they said it was "too windy", so NOTHING happened. Basically we paid all that money and didn't get to see what we went for. We called ahead before buying the tickets and a lady called CATHERINE said that even if the weather doesn't allow the balloons lifting they will be still inflated attached to the ground which didn't happen. Why did you lie to the people? Please be honest and don't play with our money and time. I wish I can show you my kid face of disappointment. Don't call it Air Balloon Festival if you won't even be able to show a single one. We understand if the weather doesn't allow the lifting, but don't say they will be still inflated if that won't happen.

Ça avait l’air bien, mais ils n’acceptent pas les chiens…
On est restés en périphérie du festival pour voir les montgolfières, mais moment gâché par une musique extrêmement forte…
En fait c’est plus un festival de musique que de Montgolfières, clairement…
