My friend and I went there for dinner before going to a concert at place bell. The food was not great, I had the lobster pasta and the lobster was not fresh at all.
Although the food wasn’t as expected, the worst part was the service. Our waitress was chewing gum with her mouth wide open while talking to us and taking our order, she was also quite rude and made us feel rushed.
Everything was also overpriced for the low quality and the little portion that was given to us.
We were seated next to where the staff punches in the food and the whole time we were there all they were doing was gossiping and flirting with eachother. When your own employees spend their time complaining about one another there’s clearly a problem.
Our dinner was very underwhelming and with the terrible service, we did not leave a tip. Hopefully our waitress will see this (Julie i think) and fix her bad service. For almost 100$ per person you should be careful with how you treat the clientele.
At least the sangria was fine and the place is pretty

Absolutely amazing! Had that huge platter lambs chops steak and shrimp was absolutely insane! Im going having that platter all over again! And the appetizers were excellent. Calamars, beef tatar, cacio pepe veggie dip the focacio into the cacio pepe sauce then add the tatar on top then bite!

Nous avons déménagé en début d’été à Laval! Nous avons essayer le restaurant à plusieurs reprise, les plats sont délicieux, les huîtres son fraiches, les portions généreuse, le gaspacho ouffff a essayer avec une bonne petite bière en fût, et que dire du décor, parfait pour les stories Ig, bref nous adorons ce resto

Very disappointed… I heard so many great reviews about this restaurant.
The food was average (I ordered the BUCATINI CARBONARA TRUFFE NOIRE). I couldn’t swap the bucatini for linguini or fettuccini. I had two drinks. They both barely had any taste, they were watery and had way too much ice (Spritz - Apricot and Sangria - Milan). I didn’t even finish any of them.
For desert i had three Cheesecake - New York style. I was okay. Nothing amazing…
Overall, disappointed with the food. Our waitress was nice, but nothing extraordinary. The place is beautiful, beautiful decor!
The parking SUCKS! I paid 30$ because I parked at the Place Bell.
I have a Christmas diner next week with my colleagues. Hopefully I have a better experience.:)

Vraiment une super belle place pour différents types de sorties. L'ambiance est superbe, la bouffe l'est tout autant. Les sangria, les meilleures que j'ai pu déguster! Vraiment une place parfaite.

La nourriture est excellente, le service aussi. J'aime bien le décor et l'ambiance. Mon filet mignon se coupait comme du beurre mou tellement il était tendre. Et les prix vont de pair avec la qualité de tout ce que je viens de mentionner. J'y retournerai, c'est certain.

Positif: Excellente localisation, parking gratuit intérieur, Beau restaurant, feutré et tendance. Cuisine très respectable, belles présentations, riche carte des vins et boissons. Authenticité revisité de la cuisine italienne moderne avec une fusion américaine. Portion assez généreuse. Service rapide.
Cons: pression impitoyable pour quitter dans les délais de deux heures exigés par la direction.
Serveuse maladroite pour nous inciter de ne pas réserver le jour de la st Valentin et prioriser d’autres dates.
Nous étions une table de 4 personnes qui a dépensé plus de 1000$ et d’un claquement de doigt, on nous traite comme un client qui n’a prit qu’un verre. Nous n’avions pas pu délecter les desserts puisque notre temps à table était écoulé.
Je ne suis pas certaine que les plus grands restaurants de renoms à Montréal comme Milos, Toqué pour ne citer qu’eux offrent ce stress et cette pression de départ à leurs clients.

Good food, but a bit heavy on salt in their sauce. Got sat right next to (2.5ft away) a waiter station so we had waiters’ butts in our face all night. Would rather they have less table availability and not have a table there.

Good food and one of the nicest vibes in Laval.
In response to the review posted by Olga Sh and the rest of the group alleging that they were “kicked out”, the restaurant is very clear that if you book the 6pm seating, you will be expected to be done by 8pm. Even if you book on Open Table, there’s a disclaimer stating that all reservations are for 2 hours.
Our group reserved for 8pm and this group of ladies was holding up our table. They weren’t asked to leave, they were asked to move to another section. They were very rude & obnoxious towards us and the staff.
In spite of these clients’ behaviour, the staff remained professional and courteous. They did everything they could to peacefully resolve the situation and we eventually got our table and had a wonderful night.
Nadine Farbman - I assure you, my sister Anastasia P.and I are actual human beings. I wish I could say the same about you and your group. To be that rude to restaurant staff and go as far as threatening them and accusing them of discrimination against Ukrainians is messed up. Just because your friend Olga decided to erase that part of her review, it doesn’t erase her accusation. We know what happened, so does the staff. But please feel free to keep telling your “truth”

Decent food, TERRIBLE wait, TOXIC tipping culture!
So my girlfriend and I decided to go here on s Saturday night. She had gonna previously and complained about the service because she had to wait 1.5 hours for food. I had never been, so we decided to check it out.
It was busy as usual for a Saturday so when we sat down and they didn't even ask for our order, we had to flag down the waitress to order, I didn't mind it too much. But the worst part was that the music was EXTREMELY loud. If you want to sit down and have a conversation while you eat, you would not be able to do that here. We were literally sitting right beside each other, so much so that our elbows were hitting each other while trying to eat and we still could not hear each other.
I have to admit the food was decent. We got grilled octopus to start, which was ok. There wasn't much flavor but it was decent. Then we got a pizza and lamb which was actually really good.
The worst part of the night that made me regret coming here was when we tried to pay and leave. We had to ask for the bill. Waited 10 minutes and no bill. So asked again and it seems the waitress forgot because she asked if we wanted one bill like we hadn't said that earlier. So we waited. Half an hour. I could tell the poor waitress was overworked, she was running around everywhere and I couldn't even flag her down. We had to wait over half an hour to get the bill to pay.
This restaurant seems to have terrible management of their staff because although there were many, they seemed to be running around everywhere instead of focusing on customers in one area.
THEN believe it or not, after we paid, I generously left a tip for this service and the manager had the audacity to come to us and tell us our tip was too low and ask why didn't we tip more? This is ridiculous! A tip is optional and the fact that we tipped at all after wasting over an hour and not even being able to talk while eating should have been more than satisfactory. This toxic tipping culture is unbelievable.

Super ambiance tres bon service!
petit bémole jai commander pizza au patate et pancetta lorsqu elle est arrivé elle n avait aucun fromage javais pourtant pris cette même pizza exellente au gatto matto boisbriand et elle avait fromage semble t il que laval le fromage n est pas dans la recette
je dis bravo au chef de boisbriand d avoir ajouter fromage a la recette ca fait toute la difference un pizza sans fromage plutot rare.surtout style pizza savoyarde par contre je dois spécifié que le resto gatto matto de laval on aussitôt accepter de m ajouter fromage sans frais avec beaucoup de gentillesse jy retournerai cest certain mais faudrait que les 2 resto fasse la même recette pour évité deception je recommande quand même tres fortement ce resto

I give a 4 star.the food here is amazing, the food has been always good when I've been here. They have a cute flowery decor all over the restaurant. They also have a very pretty big bar. This place is located in the same building as the Place Bell
On the weekend they have a DJ that plays.
This place is always full and very very loud, with the music and everyone talking it's very hard to hear the other person in front of you
This is modern Italian restaurant, so if you go don't except for it to be authentic.
If you go I recommend getting the calamari, the burrata, the filet mignon, the salmon tartare and the pastas.
This place have underground parking, you just have to give them the ticket before leaving and they will exchange it with alot ticket which makes your parking free.
During the summer they have a very big patio outside.
If you go here you the need order the "suivez la Rose" sangria pitcher is taste like the watermelon Jolly rancher. So good to drink but also dangerous haha.

Très bon et bon service! Malgré qu'ils étaient short staff et qu'il y avait beaucoup de groupes ils nous ont offert un super service on a beaucoup apprécié! Super beau resto!

Lovely place but for the price of the food, they could be a bit more generous with the portions. The pasta was the right amount and the fries as well, but the shrimp dish was missing a bit more of quantity. The ambiance is great and the waiters are very nice ️

Très beau restaurant et le menu est excellent. Nous avons gouté à plusieurs plats qui étaient tous savoureux. Le service était très bien aussi. Toutefois.on aime l'ambiance bar mais la musique était vraiment - mais vraiment - trop forte. C'est bien de dynamiser l'espace avec la musique mais à ce resto il faut crier la bouche pleine pour se parler, c'est pas super ;)

Fancy restaurant close to metro Montmorency, the decor is lovely, the service is attentive. What we ordered was also good but not as good as the rest. So why 4 stars?
1- when they ask you for water, they do not say that it's a bottled water they charge you: I prefer tap water but didn't get the option to get it/ it wasn't offered to me by the waitress.
2- The octopus is delicious, however 26$ for one tentacle is a bit outrageous. The pizza was very good! As for the drinks, stay away from the spritz…. It’s way too sweet. The negroni was good!

The food was good the drinks are too. I went with my friends the service by Phil was perfect. He's the best if I have to go back I'll definitely go to his section. I hardly recommend this place!

Bon service, frites parmesan, ail, pesto très bonnes! Nous étions réduit à 2h seulement dans la place, mais nous ont laissé rester après le service. Carte des vins est OK mais sans plus!

Dined at this beautiful restaurant in Laval with my boyfriend. The Service was great, we started with the salmon tartar, calamari and Caesar salad! It was amazing and we shared the Mac & Cheese that I have heard so much about with the pizza! It was delicious will definitely be going back! I definitely recommend:)

Nous avons été souper hier au Gatto Matto et ce fût une expérience parfaite du début à la fin! Quoi dire de notre fantastique serveur Pascal qui nous conseillait à la perfection autant pour les drinks (le ptit drink du jour à la) que le repas ou le dessert qui nous a préparé avec tant d’amour autant les autres serveurs que les propriétaires venaient s’assurer que tout était parfait! La nourriture était super bonne également ainsi que l’ambiance lounge avec dj… je suis à ma deuxième expérience et ce ne sera pas la dernière je peux vous le confirmer….

Service and food here is amazing! Mac & Cheese is always a must when I come to this restaurant. This is perfect for outdoor dining because the sunsets here are beautiful. Come on a sunny sunset! Everything and service is amazing. I give Pascal and the food a 5 star review.

Je sors pas souvent à Laval et j’ai été agréablement surprise. Service impeccable, serveurs-euses attentionnés-es, bonne portion pour le prix. La pizza carnivore est un incontournable! Déco très “instagrammable”, if that matters.

Highly recommend this place. We went twice already and love it. The food is great and the prices are right. Their Mac n cheese is wow. And this restaurant is super family friendly. Great service from all the waiters we had.

Beautiful atmosphere. I ordered the octopus as a starter and it was delicious! A little spicy, so be careful for those with low tolerance to spice. I had the tagliatelle rose as a main and it was very tasty and generous amount. One of the best amaretto sours I've tried, good music, overall nothing bad to say.

I went there with my girls last night and I lovedddd itt!
The food, drinks and vibe were all on point. I can’t remember the name of our waiter but he was so nice and helpful with the menu. They also have good protocoles for Covid. Thanks again for the amazing experience!

C'est vraiment notre resto italien préféré. Même avec les mesures de distanciation sociale, l'expérience est aussi agréable qu'avant: nourriture excellente, service sympathique et courtois, ambiance chaleureuse. Nous recommandons très fortement

Gatto Matto is a really nice restaurant, a little bit pricey, but the dishes are exceptionally good. The charred cauliflower appetizer was amazing, the lobster spaghetti, veggie pizza and mussels all had unique and different flavours from your everyday Italian food. The service overall was good, except for the end of the meal, when it came time to pay the bill. The waitress was visibly upset when we had only tipped her 15%. The credit card machine suggested 15%, 18%, or "other", so I put 15%, which I guess is not enough? Am I supposed to tip 50%!? What was she expecting, to win the lotto? I really didn't appreciate the way she reacted when she saw the tip.not even a "thank you" or "have a good night". She just grabbed the credit card machine made a strange face and walked away.

Didn't really have big expectations while reserving there! I was really surprised by the good quality dishes, everything was tasty and well presented, service was a big + as well.

Excellente cuisine, espace restreint surtout pour les tables de 2. Les tables sont trop rapprochées des voisins créant un manque d’intimité. Pour le reste, tout est top nutch!

Beautiful restaurant. My funghi pizza was delicious and my wife's filet mignon was fabulous. The parking in the Place Bell was free (parking ticket stamped) but a bit confusing to navigate.

Food is excellent. Great service. Very friendly. My husband and I have been at that restaurant many times and we have never been disappointed. Everything just keeps getting better. Highly recommend this restaurant.

C'était très bien comme resto. Le décor est magnifique et nous avons eu un très bon service. Seul petit bémol; les portions ne sont pas très grandes pour le coût $.

La musique est forte, les serveuses sont à peine vêtues et les prix sont élevés pour la qualité. Par contre les cocktails sont délicieux et l'ambiance est agréable. Ce qui se passe dans les assiettes est moyen.

Great Italian food, excellent drinks, memorable service. Ambiance is welcoming, only area of improvement would be to check the acoustics of the restaurants, music was slightly loud at times depending on the song playing.

Came here for a friends birthday on a saturday night and it went really well! We got 3 pizzas to share and I got the salmon tartare as an entree. I loved the tartare, one of the best I've had in a while. The pizzas were good but the toppings and the cheese kept sliding off.
The waiters were all very nice and attentive, a bit slow at time but it was really busy. We had brought our own cake and they were nice enough to bring it out for us but they brought it out while one of our friends was in the bathroom! That could've been executed better.
The restaurant is really well decorated and chic. We were at a booth and all six of us were comfortable. The bathrooms are so cute and instagrammable (It's like they knew girls take selfies in bathroom mirrors or something)
There was one mishap when the fire alarm rang and we weren't sure if we had to evacuate or not, makes for a great story!
It's also very well located, right next to the metro!

Une belle ambiance, un beau staff souriant et présent, et un super menu!

Was invited for a bday. As we walked in, the restaurant was completely packed. Reservations were made for 8: 30. Table was not ready, the nice hostess told us to go to the bar and enjoy a nice cocktail while they set up our table. Decor is beautiful, very girly but I would still go with a gang of guys as I noticed a lot of beautiful girls enjoying a nice girls night out. They had a Dj music was on point. As for the food. I ordered the burrata entree, very good quality. And my main I took the calabrese pizza, full of toppings and taste. Service was quick despite how busy they were. I would definitely go back!

This place is all hype and overpriced. It's already difficult to find a decent authentic pizza in this town but this one was one of the worst. The restaurant itself is gorgeous but the food was almost insulting. My pizza was so chewy. My jaw was literally cramping from eating it. It seems like they invested so much into making it an "instagramable" restaurant but cheaped out on getting a good pizza oven and a kitchen staff that can make a decent pizza dough. Sure, those pink pizza boxes are cute but what's inside is an abomination to Italian cuisine. I would have given 1 star but I gotta say they make a mean Negroni and the service was good.

Quelle belle découverte ce restaurant! Nourriture délicieuse, vaste gamme de cocktails, ambiance chaleureuse, décor moderne, stylé et envoûtant, et surtout, un stationnement sous-terrain gratuit. L'expérience Gatto Matto mérite d'être vécue!

Première visite et non la dernière! Pizza la meilleure que j’ai mangé, et ce, même meilleure qu’en Italie. Personnel très accueillant et efficace! Merci à vous

Quelle découverte! Sans parler de la déco qui est incroyable, la nourriture et le service est impeccable! Pour une fête ou une soirée entre ami c’est l’endroit à essayer en 2019 croyez moi! Parkez vous sous terrain si vous voulez mon conseil c’est gratuit
