Gibeau Orange Julep

Pas mauvais, un peu chère: 20$ pour une poutine, hotdog et un breuvage à l'orange. L'inflation j'imagine, et le fameux jus d'orange frais aussi doit coûter cher probablement mais c'est vrai que le jus est bon c'est à essayer au moin une fois, goût unique en son genre.

Pour la poutine elle n'était pas mauvaise mais selon les commentaires je m'attendais à ce qu'elle soit extraordinaire alors qu'elle n'était qu'ordinaire et en plus le fromage était fondu alors qu'une bonne poutine le fromage doit être frais et faire "squouik squouik" donc la sauce est un peu trop chaude et le fromage pas assez frais.

Le hot-dog "all dress" était bon.

On y est bien servi en anglais comme en français, le caissier était souriant et sympathique. Service très très très rapide genre 5 minutes après avoir commandé j'ai été servi et il y avait 4 clients à servir avant moi donc bravo pour ça.

Stopped for a quick snack after lunch. Grilled Hot Dogs - All Dressed Of Course. Great French Fries - with Salt & Vinegar and their Famous Orange Julep perfected by the Gibeau Family years ago. Once tasted, never forgotten.

Classic spot in Montreal. Always hit up this spot whenever we’re in the city. I don’t know what they put in their orange juice but NOTHING takes like it. It’s very delicious, sweet but not overly sweet and not too citrusy. Their poutine was good too. Worth the wait in line to check out this place. Plenty of seating outside to sit and enjoy your food. If you really like the orange juice, you can buy bigger jugs to go.

C'est un staple de Montréal mais 20$ pour une poutine, un hot dog (beuf) et un jus (tres bon) c'est du vol. Et il faut manger dans un endroit clôturé. Very sad

Maybe you've had an Orange Julius at your local mall, made by some part timer at dairy Queen who had no idea what they are doing or what the right ratios are to create this delicious drink.but imagine if one place spent the last century perfectly blending oranges into a creamy sweet drink that always refreshes and cools but comes across smooth and desert like with every bit of flavor it has had since decades ago. No compromise no alternatives, no cheaping out on ingredients.just tradition and vitamin c.

Tried their julep frappé for the first time on recommendation of a friend and fell in love with it right away. It was really nice drink. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming

J'enlève 2* parce que les prix sont vraiment exagérés pour la quantité/ qualité du produit. Le jus d'orange est crémeux et unique en son genre certes. Le reste du menu est 100% fast food. Je recommande pour une première fois, toutefois le goût est si particulier qu'il risque de ne pas plaire à tous. Staff aimable.

A Montreal staple, you gotta eat here. The Orange Julep juice is quite unique, similar to Orange Julius. It's the same recipe but it replaces pectin with egg whites and uses real sugar and real milk. In other words, it’s richer and creamier. The hot dogs and poutine are also great. Vegetarians, the tofu dogs are the bomb.

Unique experience there. They serves the most creamy and full bodied orange juice ever with the fast-food classics. It's an exterior greasy spoon where it used to be car service on rollerblades. During summer It's the place to go for car enthusiasts evenings. The juice gets a bit pricey but the experience is found no where else in town. You can't miss it, it's a giant orange sphere on Decarie boulevard. Highly recommended for a true Montréal experience.

Remplire une bouteille Julep et lorsque la mousse se dissipe nous avons la moitier seulement à l’intérieur! Nous payons le prix d’un et recevons la moitier! Fromage en grain serait meilleur! Mais julep reste le meilleur jus d’orange!

Cheeseburger and poutine were terrible. Staff were very unfriendly. The orange juice was the weirdest thing I've ever had! So overrated!

Orange Julep is an Iconic restaurant in Montreal. The juice is really good and not overly sweet. Their food is good for my liking and have a lot of selections to choose from. A few things I noticed was that service can be slow since they are rushing to cater to customers since it can be very busy at a certain time. Also, the price. It can be quite expensive to eat there but they accept Credit and debit cards. The staff and employees are working hard to cater to all and they are doing an amazing job. Overall an amazing restaurant and a Highly recommendation for a decent lunch or Dinner. Also they have car shows there as well sometimes and a nice area and location near the highway and Namur station.

Everytime I come to Montreal I have to go to the famous GIBEAU ORANGE JULEP and DUNNS across the street, it's a double combo of greatness

Food and juice were great as usual but the service wasn’t the best. The girl serving us wasn’t friendly and quite impatient, seemed like she was annoyed.

I recommend this restaurant. I am never disappointed by their foods, and it is not very expensive. The spaghetti and the poutine are my favorite dishes. The concept of an orange forming that place is attractive!

Fancy to look at but I no longer fancy paying so much for so little. The hotdogs were tiny and all dressed seemed to mean lots of shredded onion', a little mustard, tiny spot of relish and nothing else. I am almost as dressed when I get out of the shower! Truly crazy!

If you want orange and egg, fine. Otherwise you can have water or nothing. Not open about allergen either ('egg in drink)

I was always wondering what is this place that has usually long line of people awaiting ordering! And finally I tried it! I found nothing special about the food. I expected the orange juice to be something special! BUT it did not taste like orange juice at all! I felt abnormal sweet taste and I believe the taste was artificial! Just good for one-time experience.

Driving from Toronto to Montreal can be tiring, get your self a nice cup of refreshing Orange Juice from here. The food is also great! 5/5

I bought this 2ltr container and came back home, this wasn't full. That's not a good thing if your charge for 2ltr you need to give full quantity. Bad experience

Never thought I would spend over $5 on a cup of orange juice. But after having one from here, I would do it again. Most sweet, refreshing and unique orange juice I've ever had.

Had heard about this place a quite few times so decided to visit it one fine evening. We ordered petit orange slush and poutine, both were really good but orange slush was amazing. Later on, we thought that I should have ordered jumbo glass instead!

Excellent orange Juice and it is a quick and fast service. The taste of orange juice is nothing like you would have before.

Definitely a Montreal staple. Their orange juice is phenomenal but not for everyone. They are known for things like their hotdogs, grilled cheese, poutine.in the summer, there are plenty of people, car shows on Thursday evening, motorcycles on Wednesdays. Great for families. It's nothing special but definitely something to remember and makes for nice pictures!

The specialty is the orange juice, is not a regular orange juice, it has a smooth and sweet flavor maybe a mix of orange plus few other ingredients, very recommended. The rest of it is just fast food: hot dogs, burgers, poutine etc. I tried the triple burger, flavor was good, come with onions, pickles, tomato and lettuce. Is a must go place for tourists and locals. A little bit expensive but overall good.

Montreal Iconic Spot, Everything is overpriced but the drinks are nice to go have with friends if you're on a roadtrip and wanna relax in a parking lot. If you're bored on a weeknd you can go and see many cars gather around.

Those fries are messy, oily but they are delicious. The hot dogs are basicly your backyard summer bbq hot dog, overall not bad.
The most unique thing is the juice. I mean, each time you take a sip of it you just want to keep drinking it. It tastes amazing. I wonder what would it taste like if I drop a tiny shot of vokda in it. But please don’t. Please drive safely.
I wouldn’t come back for the fast foods but I’m definitly coming back for that amazing orange juice.

Long standing hotspot in Montreal. Attracts a variety of people. Cool spot to hang with friends (likely way more lively at night). Food isnt half bad either (but it's a hot dog stand.temper expectations). Not a great value but you wouldn't come here looking for one.

Just can't go wrong with the orange julep and ice cream mixed together though it's a little expensive. Their poutine also stands out.

Le jus est bon mais jai demandé si y'avais des produits laitiers et la personne m'a dit non. Une fois payé je goute et lui demande si elle est sur qu il n'y a pas de lait car j'ai l'impression que oui.elle me répond du lait en poudre je pense.
. Bravo donc j'ai payé un jus que je ne peux pas boire.

Ah the iconic orange julep. I 've lived here my whole life and finally got to eat there today. A poutine and an orange julep. Can't get more Mtl than that.

Their brownies are good but the orange is way too sweet for my taste.other people seem to love it though.

If you love Poutine, overly sweet orange juice, burger with fries, a variety of sandwiches or subs, at good prices then this is the place for you. No space to sit in so people order and eat in their cars (while the food is still hot, I guess?) or in the summer you can eat outside in the seats they have available.

If you are visiting Montreal you should 100% visit! I highly recommend the cream cheese filled hot pretzel as pictured in the picture below. Also try the grilled cheese or hot dogs. Of course try the famous Julep drink. In the summer lots of places to sit outside when it’s nice out. Nice family place during the day, located right off the highway. On Wednesday summer nights people like to come show off their antique cars and just enjoy themselves.

Had the spaghetti, deceiving I remember it being good. Hamburger, deceiving as well it. The orange juice from julep I remember it being good however deceived

Une expérience positive à ce mythique endroit. C’était une première visite pour moi. J’y suis venu pour prendre la grosse orange en photo, mais je me suis laissé tenter par un jus d’orange. La différence avec un jus d’orange habituel, c’est qu’il est crémeux.
Il y a une belle nostalgie dans la décoration de l’endroit. Ça semble un peu figé dans le temps et c’est parfait ainsi.
L’employée à la caisse était gentille et souriante.

Nice place to hang but the washrooms are so disgusting. You know what they say about food places with dirty washrooms. It means dirty kitchens as well.

After coming to Montreal, almost every single person suggested me to go to big orange ball and enjoy the juice. However my experience here was not very good. I ordered juice and family fries. Fries were soggy and full of oil. Orange juice was super sweet. I asked the lady working there about the ingredients of juice and she was clueless.

This place may not have the best hot dog or poutine in town but it is the nostalgia feeling i get that makes me want to keep coming back everytime! The orange juice is good but to sweet for my taste. Nice ambiance in the summer!

Every single time I went to Montreal. Orange juice is a must place to stop. I love the fact it’s a giant parking lot where people can eat in the car. Meet car enthusiast. I recently tried there poutine not the best but still it was very filling. Orange julep is an iconic place in Montreal. I would recommend this place to any out of the province visitors.

The place to come for desert. I always come here for the Orange Julep Frappe that is regular orange julep with vanilla ice cream scooped in. The food is also pretty good especially the fries.

Always yummy. Best place for greasy guilty pleasures but its really gross that the cashier touches the straw & doesnt wash her hands after handling money. Outside seating is nice for summer but take out for winter months is best

Aaaaargh i could bath in their orange juice! This is the real gods beverage. Ok hotdogs (the jumbo one's are more worth it than the regular one), delicious poutines. If you go there during the summer you can entertain yourself by looking at the dumb tourists taking their pictures with the giant orange behind them.

If you are visiting Montreal, this is one staple you must not miss. The Orange Julep is a MTL landmark offering amazing photo spots but also amazing food. Check out their signature orange juice (milk mix)

A Montreal experience! Go for the Orange Julep, but the burgers are great too! Great way to support a local business instead of all the multinational fast food corps in the area.
