Gingerbread Manor Bed & Breakfast

Nice, cozy and very clean place in the heart of beautiful Montreal.
The hosts are absolutely fantastic!

Fantastic location & fantastic hosts. Lots of great restaurants fully in walking distance along with coffee shops. Room was up on the third floor. Very spacious. Shared toilet & shower which worked out well. Highly recommend booking

Une belle maison ancienne bien entretenue, accueil par un couple fort sympathique mais aux blagues parfois un peu déplacées (surtout de bon matin, au petit-déjeuner) et à la tenue pas forcément des plus avenantes.

I enjoyed every moment of my stay. This place has everything a traveller would appreciate - a comfortable and neat room in a beautiful house, friendly and thoughtful hosts, warm hospitality, smooth communication, freshly homemade breakfast, superb location, quiet neighborhood. It made me feel more than just an accommodation. What else could you ask for? Highly recommend!

Great experience.
The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and really well equipped, you can tell thought is put into it. It includes an AC. The bed was very comfortable. The building is gorgeous.
The breakfast was delicious and there's plenty to choose from.
The location is very convenient, it's about a 10 mins walk to a metro station and shopping places and events. It's very quiet though, I am a light sleeper and couldn't hear a single car.
The hosts are lovely people, very friendly.
This is one of the most affordable and reasonably priced places to stay in Montreal. Highly recommended.

Une expérience rare tout y est: le charme architectural, le caractère et le raffinement du manoir, l'emplacement idéal proche du Parc St-Louis et du Métro Sherbrooke, le calme du quartier, et surtout: l'hospitalité attentive de Yves, l'ambiance conviviale qu'il a su créer avec et entre les hôtes eux-mêmes autour de savoureux plats maison concoctés pour le déjeuner matinal.je recommande très fortement.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and extremely well-located bed-and-breakfast (a 4 minute walk from the metro and a quick walk from lot of cafes, restaurants and shops in the Plateau). Our hosts provided an excellent breakfast (French toast one day, cheese and mushroom omelettes the next, along with a selection of fruit, cereal, and baked goods). Clean towels and a bathrobe provided for use in a shared bathroom; toilet separate from bathroom and also shared. We had a room on the third level of the house, but a handy rail on either side of the staircase meant that it was easy to go up and down (even though my knee was stiff one day we stayed there). Thank you, Yves and Ephraim, we hope to be back sometime!

Beautiful home and great location. My boyfriend and I visited for a weekend and loved our stay. The hosts were very friendly and made us a great breakfast both.mornings, very accommodating with vegetarian meals both times. They also provided great recommendations for local patisserie, bakeries, and overall made us feel very welcome. We’d love to stay again.

Just had another FABULOUS 5 star experience at Gingerbread Manor. Stayed in a different room this time (Carlton).
The room was cozy, warm and beautiful. Extremely clean. Bed was so wonderfully comfortable.
The breakfasts were delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. The hosts were friendly and humorous as usual.
I look forward to coming back and suggest if you are reading this, to give Gingerbread Manor a try yourself. You will see why I keep coming back.

We stayed several nights at Gingerbread Manor B&B and it was ok. Their digital lock system for the room was inconvenient. Sometimes it works sometimes it didn't, we got locked out at midnight a couple times.

The location-wise, it's not centre of downtown so you need to walk 25 minutes to downtown or 40 minutes to old Montreal. Good thing is the area seems to be safe, there is a beautiful park just 1 block away. (Metro station is 5 mins walk)

Bringing your own body soap is highly recommended for sensitive skin people. My skin got irritated by using their body soap. The washroom was pretty clean.

I liked the view from the room window, the bed was comfortable also. Only thing disappointed me was the bathrobe hanging inside the closet smelled really really bad. I'm sorry but I don't think I would stay here again.

It's been a while since we've stayed at a real Bed and Breakfast but we enjoyed a home cook breakfast. Something AirBnb just doesn't offer.

The two hosts were very welcoming and great conversationalists who provided helpful information on local restaurants. They thought of all the little things to make your stay more enjoyable including the delicious food for breakfast and the well stocked bathroom with bandaids for your blisters. The “Frontenac” room was beautiful and very spacious. We would definitely return again. Thanks again for making our stay a memorable one.

No better way to experience Montreal hospitality, rich with Latin Quarter vibes! The hosts made it a memorable stay: awesome hot breakfasts served in antique china, edgy [Jewish] humor, and tips for best-value local restaurants and must-see landmarks. Place is a charming townhouse near Square Saint-Louis, with large rooms and eclectic furnishings. Was also nice to rub elbows with a diverse crowd of tourists staying at the manor.
