Gîte Le Bellevue

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful, I personally loved the décor and layout of the room! The room was very clean and shows that it's been cared for (no damages to walls, floors, etc) The view is absolutely beautiful and it's nice to have a walkout large patio to relax and enjoy the scenery. Overall, it was a very relaxing stress free night away! Thank you:)

Overall, I’d give my experience a 4.5 out of 5, but for the purposes of reviewing, I will round up. This is such a wonderful, clean, and cozy place to stay, with an incredible view, great room decor, and customer service that goes above and beyond. I brought my starry sky projector from home and used it in the room while I was staying here (photos attached) — best sleep ever! The only critiques I have are that the shower in my room (the Meridian) did not get as hot as I would’ve liked. Pretty lukewarm, in fact. Also, the rooms weren’t exactly soundproof. Granted, the sounds that I was hearing were pretty muffled, but it was still rather noticeable at moments and gave the impression of being in a bedroom in a house of people. Lastly, through no fault of the hotel’s, the options for food delivery in the area are practically non-existent, and the options for decent food in the late evening *at all* are mostly limited to taking the 30-40 minute drive into Gatineau or Ottawa. The hotel provides a list of options for restaurants in the area, but l’d definitely put some intention into planning ahead if you generally eat in the evening. Overall, I came here for a solo getaway and was able to experience a sense of solitude, relaxation, connection with nature, and great rest thanks to this lovely accommodation. This will certainly be my go-to place to stay whenever I am in the area.

Overall an excellent stay. Good communication leading up to check in. A tastefully designed, comfortable and clean room. Wow what a beautiful natural view as well! We’ll be back for sure.

Breathtaking views and beautiful memories.

We stayed in the king room with the corner balcony, which overlooks the forest. The area is very calm and it's easy to get lost in nature while still experiencing the luxuries of a cozy and modern hotel room.

Down the hill from the hotel is parc Éco-Odyssée, and as a tip, check the activities and dates as they're not all year round.

To go 10 minutes into Wakefield, we used Transcollines, an app you can download that is about the same price as a bus ride per person! Very convenient if you're planning to celebrate responsibly.

As for restaurants, we ate at La Muse, which I highly recommend, especially if you're a foodie. Their head Chef Marie-Ève was a contestant on Les Chefs and the experience was outstanding. Be prepared to wait a while though for the food to come; it'll be worth it!

All in all, the Bellevue is your spot to stay when around Wakefield. Affordable, beautiful, quiet and we know we'll be coming back soon!

Dommage que le lit soit si inconfortable puisque l'ensemble des autres éléments étaient super. Bien dormir dans un hôtel est la base, c'est pourquoi je ne retournerais pas à cette hôtel, mise à part pour assister à un mariage au Belvédère, due à la proximité.

Lovely boutique hotel with gorgeous rooms and a spectacular view. Simple, self-serve checkin/out.

J’ai passé une nuit dans le refuge exode et j’ai eu un moment magique. L’endroit est propre avec une belle vue sur les alentours et sur le couché du soleil. Nous avons eu un ciel dégagé pour regarder les étoiles autour du feu de camp! C’était parfait!

My wife and I really enjoyed the room and the view. We were guests at a wedding at Ski Vorlage. We stayed here for 2 nights. The bed was really comfortable, we enjoyed the room's spaciousness and great balcony. Highly recommended.

La Bellevue was exactly as advertised plus a little extra. We were pleasantly surprised with the building and the locale. It fit our needs exactly but also gave us the opportunity for a bit more. The balcony provided a panoramic view of the Gatineau Hills and we enjoyed a glass of wine along with some delicacies out there after settling in. Our dealings/communication with Marc (owner/manager) were over the top. Friendly efficient and at the same time he managed to inject some humour. He made the whole process simple and enjoyable.

Excellent location with convenient parking. Our apartment was perfectly clean, beautifully well decorated and very well appointed with all necessary kitchen plates, tools and appliances. The hot tub and outdoor space, and view, were lovely. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone; in fact I am looking to plan another stay with friends!

My wife and I were attending a wedding at the Belvedere and the location of the hotel was walking distance which was great.
We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable and the balcony and its view were amazing.
I spoke on multiple occasions with staff over the phone and it was always extremely pleasant.

The room was comfortable, clean snd very modern. The views from the balcony were incredible! Would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful stay! Absolutely gorgeous view from inside the room even, but also obviously from the balcony. Really enjoyed using the balcony to enjoy the view and peace and quiet. Bring some bird seed for the feeder on the balcony and you’ll get some bird friends to watch as well! The room was also very clean.

The Hotel rooms were excellent, and the den apartment was fine. However, it was disappointing and misleading that we were advertise has be able to rent the entire lodge, with photos of the building, but the entire lodge does not include the main floor and main balcony of the building. That space is rented out to permanent tenants. The Den is a walk basement. This was never disclosed to us. In our assessing our options, having the entire lodge/building was part of our evaluation. Please in future if someone is interested in renting the entire lodge you should make it clear the entire lodge does not include the main floor and balcony.

This gem is very well kept and has a welcoming feeling from the moment yiu walk in. We were very happy with the place and the service was great. They are very friendly.

Nous avons eu un superbe séjour dans le petit chalet Exode. Parfait pour deux personnes, très propre à notre arrivée. Lit confortable, les équipements de cuisine étaient suffisants pour se faire à manger et la toilette très près du chalet. Nous avons apprécié avoir une table et un banc pour manger à l'intérieur et la table de pique nique à l'extérieur. Finalement, la vue était incroyable! J'y retournerai sans doute à l'automne avec les feuilles ça doit être un magnifique spectacle. Les informations que nous avons reçu par texto avant le séjour étaient toujours très claires, vraiment un excellent service! Nous reviendrons assurément:)

We were very impresssed with the' Sunset' room accomodation. It was very comfortable and has a great view over the valley from the spacious balcony. We will return for another visit!

I had a wonderful stay! Le Bellevue offered exactly what it described on the tin: beautiful view of the mountains in a comfortable, clean room.

Directions, Parkging, and check in was completely self serve and super easy to figure out.

This little BnB was everything someone could hope for. Set against the beautiful forests and hills it is picturesque and tranquil. Despite the horrible storm that happened the night before my stay the staff did their absolute best to ensure comfort and quality during my brief stay. Friendly, courteous and thoughtful, everyone I spoke to was an absolute gem.

The view and location is amazing. But it is very expensive for a camping room one night, no bath, but having a dry toilet.

Picture a hybrid of a fancy hotel room and a cottage. The rooms are EXTREMELY clean and come with a furnished patio overlooking the hills. The fact that even the showers have shampoo and conditioner tells you the level of attention to detail in this place.

Beautiful little place if you're looking to get away, breathe some fresh air and take in the beauty and the quiet of the hills in Wakefield. I visited in Winter and loved the view, so I'm curious to see it in summer and fall.

Overall, it was a way better price and comfort than renting cottage. Planning to visit every season.

Gîte bien situé au haut d'une colline donnant une excellente vue sur les montagnes des Outaouais. Une bonne place pour se reposer et profiter de la nature. Et tout cela vous mets directement collé sur le site d'Éco-Odyssée et c'est une activité à ne pas manquer! Canoë l'été dans un labyrinthe et patin sur glace naturelle en hiver. Vraiment trop bien!

La vue des chambres est simplement époustouflante. C'est une véritable immersion en nature dans le luxe et le confort de chambres bien aménagées, propres et bien pensées. C'est déjà la troisième fois que je réserve et je vais y retourner sans hésiter!

My husband and I chose to stay at the Gite le Bellevue and we're so glad we did; the room was incredibly clean, well furnished and beautifully decorated. We had everything we could possibly need to accommodate us for our 2night stay. We chose to stay in the 'Apartement' so that we could take advantage of the private hottub -we highly recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or even a couples weekend as there are two rooms in the suite. Even though we visited in the winter and it was a bit cold outside, the spa made it such a memorable visit and kept us warm after doing outdoor activities all day. The hotel also provided us with a list of restaurant and activity recommendations which were all amazing so thank you for that. All I can say is when we had to leave we were already planning our next stay; it was that good!

Amazing place to stay. I've booked a bit at the last minute and was more than satisfied with everything. The gîte and my room were super clean and cozy, the view was breathtaking. Some cute and cool birds are coming for food, a massive and lovely crow hangs out there too, he looks so smart and pretty that I felt like hugging him, but I didn't oviously:)
I came alone and enjoyed the activities available nearby, the paddle in eco-odyssee water maze was awesome, then I paddled the whole afternoon on the local river/lake. The village is very nice, you can find there everything including food products for people with several intolerances like me. The amazing view from my terrasse was perfect in the evening for reading or writing with a nice glass of pinot noir.
I will come back for sure, either to try the little "refuge" cabins or to see how it looks in winter, or both.

Très bel endroit. Le paysage est magnifique. La chambre était très propre, moderne et confortable, quoiqu'un peu petite. Toutefois, le grand balcon devient une pièce supplémentaire (super agréable d'ailleurs), alors ça compense. Fort bien situé à quelques minutes du joli village de Wakefield. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.

BEAUTIFUL! Marc ensued our stay was perfect. The place is clean and cozy. Extra pillows and blanket on deck. AC is in working order. Mini fridge in the room. Everything was so clean and perfect. Not walking friendly from the venue but close enough that the drive is not a problem. Just make sure your car is good with steep hills! We had a great time. Thank you!

Le Bellevue est idéal pour un séjour à Wakefield et une visite à Éco- Odyssée. C'est très calme, parfait pour se ressourcer en pleine nature.
L'hôtel est propre et très bien entretenu, loin du bruit et autres dérangements urbains. J'ai adoré ne pas avoir de télé tout en ayant accès au wifi.

C’était la 3ème fois que j’y allais, dont 2 fois en 2 semaines en août 2021 (l’appartement), et ça sera peut-être la dernière. L’endroit est magnifique et l’appartement est récent, beau et propre et les lits sont confortables. Par contre, le linge à vaisselle et la lavette sentent mauvais avant même de les avoir utilisés (sentent la moisissure, mal séchés et mal lavés). Le fait que la lavette sentait tellement mauvais à notre arrivée laisse croire qu’elle n’a pas été changée avant notre arrivée. Le reste (serviettes et draps) était bien. A notre arrivée il y avait un léger problème avec le spa et ça à été réglé très rapidement, ce qui est très apprécié. Par contre, il faut sortir du spa à 23h, ce qui est correct et ce que nous avons respecté tous les soirs, mais attendez vous à ce qu’on « flashe » les lumières dès 23h01. Aussi, entre 2 séances de spa (dans la même soirée et non du matin au soir) si vous n’avez pas remis le couvert, on vous le rappellera (gentiment), donc si ça ne vous dérange pas de vous faire surveiller, vous n’aurez aucun problème. De mon côté, ces petits détails feront que je n’y retournerai sûrement pas et ne le recommanderai plus.

Amazing place, wonderful view. Comfy bed and super clean. But if you are looking for a totally quite place, you can still hear the neighbors from their balcony.
Still, I highly recommend.

Tout simplement magnifique! C'est le mot que mon conjoint a répété à plusieurs reprises. La vue est à couper le souffle, les oiseaux et la nature à son meilleur. Chambre impécable. Ce n'est pas notre dernière visite:)

Super expérience en refuge! Cozy, champêtre, propre et avec tout le nécessaire pour que notre séjour soit agréable. Une belle façon de dormir en nature sans aucun compromis sur le confort. À essayer!

It was clean! Beautiful views.
Water was not too too hot but I believe in the owner will fix that in due time. However it was warm enough to have a shower.

Beautiful spot to spend some time away from the city. Gorgeous view from the rooms whether it is summer or winter. Snowshoeing in the surrounding areas was also a pretty fun experience.

Location, location, location. This place is amazing, the vue is crazy beautiful, hosts are so nice! Definately recommend!
