I got a shepherds pie poutine last time because it’s strange-ness was calling me— was delicious. Wouldn’t be off for me to order it again.

If you’re just walking by and hungry, get des steamés.theyre hotdogs in steamed buns.usually served with mustard and onions, which is good. But no one will be mad if you ketchup/relish it.if they are tell them i sent you

This forever 1960/70 greasy spoon diner has been fairly consistent without too many surprises as far as their menue goes. Non-pretentious ambiance is great for food on the go no matter what you may look like. This place claims to have a breakfast menu 24 h and they do have your regular bacon and egg dish available 27/7 which is great if you are a breaky person like myself who will have a late breakfast on a week day. Only thing is, their staff aren’t good at customer service lately. I’ve coming here for years. Breakfast plates come with toast, butter, syrup (if pancakes are involved), ketchup, jams or other which was completely dismissed. The waitress didn’t come to my table or even make eye contact my way for 20 minutes after serving my plate. When I asked about the toast she said it does come with the plate but I had to ask for it at the start! So, once again, my fault for not doing her job.
Is it just me (who professionally works in hospitality for 15+ yrs) that there should be basic common sense training when serving the public. At least a little. Hence my rating.

This is a very old fast food restaurant. If you are looking a spot to eat poutine, hot dogs and burgers. This is definitely a place to go. The restaurant kept in there 60s decoration.

I loved the atmosphere (open since 1947? Wow!) but was disappointed by the food and service.

The poutine was lukewarm at best, the gravy cold, and none of the cheese curds melted. The fries weren’t crispy at all; the waitress said their fries were soggy on purpose. Interesting.

Service was also… questionable. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for a menu. I don’t know what I did to deserve that as something like this has never happened to me.

This was my first time trying poutine in Montreal as an Ontarian. I was glad to go home.

Poutine was okay, I’ve had better. The fries were okay, my spouse enjoyed his pita and kids ate their burgers. Onion rings were good but not enough. Kids enjoyed the icecream with meals. The portions are big but if quality is what you are after then you need to go elsewhere for a poutine. We were there at a quiet time around 3 so maybe things weren’t as pipping hot and fresh? The kitchen staff were tired and arguing.

Cela fait deux fois que la serveuse. Qui est une femme blanche obèse pour que l'on puisse la retracer me sert en anglais alors que je lui parle qu'en français. En plus elle est francophone. Je ne lui ait pas donné du pourboire et elle à commencé à se plaindre. Le client est roi si ton service n'est pas bon c'est de ta faute

A very thematic institution, as if plunged into an American film. Service and service at the highest level, the waiters, like bees, for a huge number of people manage to provide an order very quickly and with a smile and courtesy. The waitress offered me a complex dish, which was more profitable to purchase than separately. Huge thanks to these people. Special thanks to the chefs. The food is very tasty, the portions are huge, the choice is large, incl.both meat dishes and vegetarian.

Awesome greasy spoon, old school diner with affordable prices. A really extensive menu with many choices from hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, many poutines, and much more!

We ordered a large Put-in poutin which is chopped steak and onions. The gravy was hot and flavourful, and the poutine was topped with the perfect amount of cheese. A large poutine is perfect to share between 2-3 people in addition to their own meals. My friend ordered the St. Henri burger and I had the New Yorker hot dog. I don't usually order hot dogs when I am out, but wow this was so good - i especially loved the sauerkraut on top. The hot dog was also served with a generous portion of fries which were also delicious.

Our server was fantastic and I can tell they care about delivering good customer service. Even when there was quiet time, the servers kept busy making sure all the tables had filled sugar and salt, and ensuring each table was clean. There are over 25 poutines on the menu and I can't wait to go back and try more!

Hands down a must try and one of the best food places in Montreal.delicious food and excellent service! I bought the large classic poutine for 12 dollars and an extra small hotdog.honestly 12 dollars is enough to make you full here! Huge portions for a decent and fair price! 10/10 recommend!

Everybody has their own favourites, but for me, this is where I come to get my favourite poutine in Montreal. The fries are substantial, not soggy and limp. The gravy is rich and good. The cheese curds squeak when you bite them. And the poutine menu is longer than your forearm.:)

Prices went up pretty drastically but still very good place, good food, nice staff, no complaints!

A fantastic St-Henri mainstay with some of the best diner food on the island. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner you're sure to be incredibly happy with the plates you're served.

Breakfast is some of the best value in the area and you're always served with a smile. Lunch and dinner have incredible portions and are delicious too. If you go once, you'll be dreaming of going again in the future. Pictured are the chicken brochette plate and the GreenSpot 7" sub.

The food was just OK. Nothing to brag about, but if you are looking for cheap eats, this is the spot.

I couldn't go to Montreal and NOT have poutine and smoked meat. Greenspot gave me 2 in one. I had the small chop chop poutine and a chocolate milkshake. WOW! The cheese curds squeaked! So good the gravy was amazing and the fries, crispy af! I think next time I'll get my smoked meat on the side It didn't get a chance to shine cuz the poutine was too good! Simply Awesome this will be my go to place when I visit again!

Gives you the 80’s diner feels, the poutine is excellent, portion size is huge. Enjoyed the Canadiens vs Lighting NHL match the true Montreal way with poutine and beer.

Mignon comme diner. Un vrai dîner et bouffe authentique. Prix très raisonnable. Bouffe bien grasse comme on l'aime dans ces endroits!

I personally don't like the gravy, it made the poutine very salty to keep me thirsty for the whole day. I know many of you like their gravy particularly. I don't know if that's what it called "traditional" or happened they put too much on mine. Anyway, not my cup of tea. On the other hand, the smoked meat tasted good and the portion of poutine was very good.

The place is alright, usual greasy spoon fare. They used to give me a small discount due to my employment, which was a very nice gesture, but for some reason they are no longer extending the courtesy, which is disappointing.

Excellent service especially since we are English! Food portions huuuge for price which is great. Delicious at-home type of food. Nice decor and feel. Will definitely be coming back.

Food:
The food was really good, the beef Pattie in was made from actual ground beef and hand made at some point oooo and it came with red cabbage on the side. The pogo was standard out of the box and fried. If I had to complain about anything it would have to be the fries that came with the burger were cut into GIANT SLICES and flash fried, almost like wedges but bigger and more tasteless. I should have taken the salad but meh.the giant fries were nice to nibble on after my meal.

The Environment:
It's a very clean and friendly place, the tables are clean and the washrooms are clean with no issues. The staff is very friendly and hard working to get food out to you as fast and as tasty as possible, never really had to wait long for a table but it's never that long.

Overall:
I love this place and have never been disappointed in the food, the menu is MASSIVE and could be cut down by 75% but to just have the option of.anything is kinda nice. I've been here many times over the years and have yet to be disappointed in anything here, quick everything and amazing taste.

It's a must visit place when coming to Montreal

A Montreal icon. Great place to get a hot meal be it breakfast lunch or dinner. Awesome atmosphere and the waitresses are really nice.

Greenspot is an absolute gem. A charming diner with a great variety of Québécois foods. Their brunch menu is excellent and cheap, and comes with massive portions. A much better deal than the fancier brunch spots around. A must!

Love this place! I love going there for breakfast. I also tried their poutine recently for lunch and it was awesome.

Awesome experience and great customer service. Traveling from Toronto to Montreal, we wanted local food. It was so good We dine in twice. Scott and beautiful Vietnamese Lady (sorry I did not get her name) was awesome serving us and very professional. I don't speak French and they give us English menu instead. Also meet with Emilia, great person and great future ahead of her. Kudos
Must try smoke meat sandwich, poutine and ever good hotdog. Hotdog buns taste great. Definitely A Must go restaurant if your in Montreal area.
The only thing they need to improve is washroom cleanliness. I hope they address it.

Was very busy for Sunday brunch which is understandable but it took 20 mins for someone to even take our order after sitting down! After that the food came out very fast although it wasn't mind blowing, it was decent for the price

Rien dexceptionnel, cest un fast food rapide et okay.jy suis allée plusieurs fois et la poutine est juste correcte sans pour autant etre vraiment lune des meilleures que jai eu.par contre une fois sur deux, pour emporter on vous oublie les ustensiles.pas top quoi.

Just walked out of there! Ordered a vey thin crust very well done pizza and received a thick crust whitecheese pizza! What a waste of my time Only offered to put it back into the oven! I go every weekend for breakfast.no more

It's New Year's Eve 2020 and I'm getting ready to have a delicious raclette dinner with a couple friends. The only thing I still need to buy are the potatoes. All's good, I walk to Super C to get my potatoes. To my panicked discovery, the doors are locked! What to do? All the stores seem to be closed and it seems that disaster is creeping up on the beautifully cheesy night I had planned. As desperation sets in, I see it. The warm glow of Greenspot beaming down through its windows onto the sidewalk. I'm taken by a determined hope, and I enter. I explain my situation and I ask "please ma'am, could I have some potatoes? ". Thankfully, several gracious angels await me on the other side of the counter. They wish me a happy new year and send me off with not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR potatoes to take home. My new year's eve is saved! Bless these magnificent folks and their potatoes!

J'y suis allé hors pamdémie, pour une collation après une randonnée d'après-midi dans ce coin de la ville! Je suis bien heureux d'être entrée ici au lieu d'avoir choisi le McDo! Je recommande d'y aller pour tout les fringales! Hummmm. Oui. C'est bon. J'en veux encore. Bave!
