Used to be owned by a old time mechanic.got bought out by younger guys.they are arrogant and surly.they broke a part while doing a repair and told me. "It's only $150"" they also shrugged when they handed me a bill that was about the value of the car.avoid em unless it's for simple jobs and get your quotes in writing and ask for your parts back.and do not accept paying any unauthorized work.they will take advantage of you.

I've always been happy with the service here. They charge a fair price. They are accomodating of specific requests. They are quick to get the job done. I feel confident recommending this garage to others.

Been coming a lot recently, never said anything about parts! Which says a lot. They aren’t money grabbers! There the best in my opinion and am gonna keep coming if it stays like this.

Good place, with friendly staff. But unfortunately, i had 2 issues.

First, After the winter/summer tire change, my tire pressure sensors were not reset.so the left gauge was showing the right wheel, and the back showing front, etc.

Second, i came with a e-brake seized problem grinding the brakes, and left with it, and a 1000$ estimate to change rear calipers, rotors, and pads which are at 30%. I drive manual, and downshift all the time, so i never needed brakes on any of my cars, since i don't keep them for 10+ years. So i jacked up the car to do my own brakes and see what went wrong, only to find out that there is an E-brake tension nut on the caliper, and releasing it a quarter turn fixed the problem! Also the pads are more than 50%, and would have lasted my driving for a few more years, because the first 50% lasted 4 years. I decided to remove and clean the calipers, then broke screws, and contaminated the brake piston in the process, forcing me to change everything. So i did end up paying 1000$ to upgrade all the brakes that didn't need to at all, plus took me 3 weeks with the car on jacks waiting for parts, because i screwed up in every step, it was my first time doing it in a long time.

I have been using Gur Autospec for around 6 years now for my Honda and Subaru.

Above all I've found them to be honest and helpful - sometimes doing extra things as a courtesy. I appreciate the way that they are all mechanics (there are no middle-men / receptionists etc) - which means that you are always talking to the person actually working on your car.

They are the best. My car won't start and they check it. I had it towed to their location on St Charles. Last night it started without any problems. Now, I don't know about U but I have had people charging me for nothing. As a woman. Thank you gentlemen for your honesty!

Great service and most important, HONEST! They don't lure you into changing/replacing things that are not necessary.

Went to have brake pads looked at. Mechanics were friendly and honest and we will be sure to go back there for next car service we need. Super impressed with service!

Very Honest, great service, very knowledgeable and prices are great. I take my BMW there all the time. All our cars go there if repairs are required.

If you want your work done twice and have time to waste then here is the place.was very disappointed.
