The atmosphere is very good, clean and the managers are nice, the women who go there are beautiful, I give them a top 10

Aucune compassion, aucune flexibilité et aucune compréhension de la part des employés. Et ils vont dire n'importe quoi pour encaisser le plus d'argent qu'ils peuvent.
Ma carte crédit s'est faite fraudée, les paiements ne pouvaient donc pas passés sur la carte.
J'ai contacté gym-max par téléphone leur informant de la situation et ils m'ont informé comme suit: ". On ne vous chargera pas les frais de non-paiement étant donné que c'est une fraude, toutefois dès que vous recevrez votre carte, vous devez passer au gym pour l'enregistrer au compte".
La carte a pris plusieurs semaines pour arriver, j'ai donc manqué plusieurs paiements. Une fois arrivée, j'ai été au gym pour l'enregistrer au compte comme on me l'avait informé, mais l'employé me sort une facture de 100$+. Je lui ai donc expliqué ce qu'on m'a dit au téléphone et il m'a dit qu'ils ne peuvent riem faire pour moi, mais que la banque allait rembourser les frais de non-paiement étant donné que c'est elle la responsable de la carte.
J'ai fait confiance à l'employé et j'ai été à la banque pour me faire rembourser mes frais de non-paiement, et la banque m'informe qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire et que ce n'est pas de leur responsabilité.

Depuis 2014 que je fréquente ce gym… aucun regret. C’est LE meilleur, ne cherchez même pas ailleurs!

Des crosseur tu dois prendre un contract 1 ans sinon tu paye des frais apres il renouvelle ton contrat sans ton autorisation quand sa fait des mois tu tu n'est pas y aller et te charge pareil? ! Malhonnête le pire gym qui sois

Très bon lieu d'entraînement, avec cours spécialisés, variété d'équipements pour exercices aérobiques ou anaréobiques et sauna finlandais dans les salles de rechange, pour la détente post-entraînement

Best gym in the area! Amazing staff and very clean. Also great people to keep you motivated!

Good gym, staff is absolutely a headache. The rules are hypocritical and ironic at best. Too many grey lines with these bs rules. Dont go there if u dont wanna be treated like u are in high-school

The equipment itself is good with a descent variety, although the maintenance is not adequate. Lot's of worn down pull cables and welded seems on the machines. Some machines have rubber grips that are worn down or completely missing and this has been this way for a long time.

The staff is great when it comes to basic questions and help. When you do have a complaint they are not receptive and will not assume responsibility.

Beware this gym get's very crowded in the evening's.

Very friendly staff and a lot of amenities! A protein shake bar, boxing room, and women's room which I've been using. And although I'm very new at working out and feel very nervous- the other patrons have been either ignoring me or helpful so 10/10

Horrible gym terrible and disrespectful staff they are trying to pry more money out of me and I canceled months ago, never go there had a worst time going than anything else it doesn't deserve the one star

Bien que le gym a ses avantages, je souhaite préciser que certains employés sont extrêmement oppressants, une en particulier qui est souvent là les soirs de semaine, à un point tel que je me fait reluquer exagérément pour vérifier si j'ai bien les items requis et si je respecte les règles, pourtant, je n'ai reçu qu'un avertissement pour l'oublie de ma serviette (alors j'en ai acheté une autre) et suite à cela, elle a expressément bloqué ma passe. Une autre employé a dû supprimer cela voyant que l'intervention était exagérée. Je comprend et respecte les règles, mais le manque de flexibilité (voir une total intransigeance) de la part de certains employés est pénible et pourrait même se rapporter à de l'intimidation. Je ne la connais pas, mais j'ai pourtant une forte impression que la haine non-verbale (et parfois verbale) portée sur moi est davantage personnel que professionnel. Je vous suggère de revoir avec vos employés la bonne façon de transmettre l'application de votre politique, puisque visiblement je ne suis pas la seule à penser et à vivre ce genre d'expérience.

J’y vais très tôt le matin en semaine et le personnel est toujours super accueillant!
Plusieurs choix de shake de protéine aussi.
Puis les autres personnes qui s’entraine ont du respecter et je ne me suis jamais senti jugé.

Tried to use this gym as part of my stay at the adjoining hotel but was promptly turned away because I was wearing a muscle shirt. Couldn't help but notice several female gym goers in sports bras, but somehow a man showing his shoulders isn't allowed. What a joke! One more reason for a sane westerner to resent Quebec.

Ce jeudi 21 octobre, je me suis rendu au gym avec ma copine afin de profiter de la promotion jeudi amène un ami. Cependant, on a refusé l'entrée à ma copine puisque la promotion était supposément finie. On s'est fait dire que c'était écrit sur les réseaux sociaux. Sachez que votre clientèle ne devrait pas devoir passer par les réseaux sociaux pour savoir ces informations. Ce n'est pas tous vos clients qui sont inscrits sur Facebook. Si vous affichez une promotion sur le grand écran du gym, le minimum serait d'y afficher l'expiration aussi, afin qu'on ne perde pas notre temps à se faire retourner de bord lorsqu'on arrive au gym. Sachez qu'à l'avenir, si vous faites ce genre d'erreur, un minimum de respect serait de laisser ma copine s'entrainer tout de même. J'écris ce message car j'affectionne particulièrement le gym max pour son ambiance, la qualité de ses équipements et son bon service à la clientèle. C'est donc avec beaucoup de déception que ma copine se voit réticente à s'inscrire au gym max. En espérant que mon expérience saura améliorer la qualité de votre service.

Fantastic Gym, they have a great selection of machines, free weights, a cross fit room and even a ladies only section. Big locker rooms and clean, great location, however, will never go back. Had some late fees as I changed my bank card since tap no longer worked and forgot to update it with them. Was accused by the staff of cancelling my payments with the bank. I am not vaccinated so could not go since they put in place the vaccine passport, not their fault, not their decision. Spoke to the manager Martin, I said I would be happy to pay the past membership fee, plus late fees, and even the cancellation fee and would sign up again once the vaccine passport was no longer necessary so long as he waived the charges since when the vaccine passport was in place, since I could not and did not go. He refused and even threatened to send my account to collections if I did not pay. Reluctantly, I will return and pay the 160$ total to Gym Max, but thanks to Martin they will have lost out on a 600$+ yearly membership for X amount of years to gain 40$ (passport/membership duration). In hindsight I should have cancelled when the passport began, slipped my mind. I will find another gym once they open back up to everyone. Great spot
great shakes, great upkeep, met the owner once, actually a super nice guy, other gyms with flexible policy available in the area though. If you're looking for high quality equipment at a fair price and you are vaccinated, I still highly recommend it, just left with a personal sour taste.

Très bon gym bien organisee et en plus il y a un bar a smoothie quoi demander de mieux. Et les employés sont toujours plaisant et acceuillant.

Je n'ai jamais mis les pieds dans le gym et maintenant je ne peux pas entrer à cause du passeport vaccinal et ils ne veulent même pas me rembourser mon abonnement qui na jamais été activé? !

Clean gym, great staff, great workout equipment. I would give this a 5 if they could open the gyms earlier on the weekends. If they were to extend their hours.

Super expensive & always way too busy every time I went. Felt like I had to fight for a machine every workout.

Wouldn't recommend.

Make sure that you bring 1) a towel 2) a t-shirt that covers your shoulders if you are male OR a shirt that covers your stomach if you are female

Although the gym is great and has a lot of equipment, unfortunately they will lose a lot of customers because they harass people with wearing masks. Everyone needs air, especially people who exercise.

Discriminative, rude and disrespectful as mentioned in some other reviews. Equality is to treat everyone in the same way not to force a group of people to wear more clothing than others. I had heard of this situation but couldn’t believe it until I saw it myself. You’re losing business to lots of dudes. Definitely do NOT recommend this gym.

Malgré les équipements de bonne qualité et les belles installations, le traitement des clients par certains employés et les propriétaires est basé sur les menaces physiques et financières ("on va te sortir d'ici par la force s'il le faut" et "on va te poursuivre au crédit"), pour des erreurs et des incohérences que leurs employés commettent. Le client est pris en otage par leurs politiques discriminatoires et ils font tout pour te charger des frais accessoires, même si le client respecte entièrement son contrat. Il n'est pas possible de discuter rationnellement avec la gestion; ils se cachent derrière leurs courriels ou ils sont trop occupés à s'entraîner pour parler de vive-voix. Selon l'Office de la Protection du Consommateur, le gym a même reçu une mise en demeure dans les 6 derniers mois. Signer un contrat avec Gym Max est vraiment une erreur, car vous serez traités avec arrogance et mépris.

Service excellent. Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Très propre et machine d'excellente qualité.

Très beau gym high tech avec de l'équipement unique et le personnel est très sociable et serviable. Ce que j'aime moins c'est le fait qu'on ne peut pas porter de camisoles. Like what? Ma blonde a dû porter un de mes chandails pour s'entrainer. Ouin.
Ils se disent 24h mais souvent j'y allais et c'étais fermé pour x raisons. J'ai été m'inscrire au Anytime Fitness à cause de ça, j'ai pas le temps de niaiser. Aille le monde pop avec leur preworkout et c'est fermé. On fait des push ups dans le stationnement?

Joined the gym and realized that they do not care about distancing and preventing the spread of the Covid virus. A health business not caring about the health of their members is not acceptable. If you care about your well-being, stay away, find a place where they care about protecting their members not this gym which is extremely over-crowded during the evenings. You have been warned.

As i was leaving, witnessed a guy doing needles in their stomach in the change room today. This has been an ongoing issue

The establishment and the equipment are very nice but overall I would not recommend this place to anybody looking to get a long term gym membership. At arrival, the service at the counter was very good and they walked me through all their amenities which was great but unfortunately it’s the only good things I have to say about that business. Their “membership agreement” is basically a binding contract of which you cannot break without paying outrageous hidden fees. I subscribed for a year membership and after realizing that the management was unprofessional in many way, I’ve decided to cancel my membership within the legal trial period mentionned by the office of protection of consummer (QC). The day I cancelled, a representative of management came to me and started calling me names and insulting me because I was not satisfied with their service. I tried to speak with her but she simply left the counter and I had to deal with the employee working at the moment. In order to get rid of that “contract” I had to pay a “cancellation fee” (hidden fee) that initially was supposed to be 50$ but ended up being 70$+tx.
Overall, my very short experience with this business (3weeks) ended up costing me over 180$ and now I have to intend legal actions in order to ensure that somebody stops them from treating their clients the way they do.
To be clear, the employees were very kind to me and I dont have anything to say but positive about them but unfortunately the management behind that business has proven itself to be extremely unprofessional. If I have one advice for anybody looking for gym in the Gatineau-Ottawa region it would be to save yourself a lot of headache and avoid this business.

One of the best non chain gym around the area. HUGE and clean. They just reopened after a fire burned a major part of the gym. The staff is very nice and they do not pressure you in any way to buy a membership compared to other gyms I know. The owner is one of the coolest guy around.
