Gym St-Henri

Embarking on my initial visit to this gym proved to be a serendipitous choice. Upon entering and inquiring about membership, I discovered a vast space replete with an impressive array of fitness equipment. What sets this gym apart is the noteworthy fact that it consistently maintains a spacious ambiance, avoiding the all-too-familiar challenge of overcrowded workout spaces.

One aspect that particularly caught my attention was the inclusion of spin classes within their offerings. The unique feature of these classes being available on a first-come, first-served basis adds an element of flexibility to my fitness routine, allowing me to seamlessly integrate these sessions into my workout regimen.

Moreover, the hygiene standards at this gym are commendable. The cleanliness of the showers reflects a commitment to maintaining a healthy and welcoming environment. As someone who values cleanliness in fitness facilities, this aspect resonated positively with my preferences.

Equally noteworthy is the thoughtfulness put into the design and maintenance of the ladies' changing area. Its spacious layout contributes significantly to the overall comfort and convenience of my gym experience. Recognizing the importance of a well-organized and ample changing space, this facility caters to the practical needs of its members.

Considering the multitude of benefits offered, the monthly membership fees for a year-long commitment strike a reasonable balance. The affordability of the membership aligns with the value derived from the extensive amenities and services provided by the gym. In conclusion, my initial impressions of this fitness establishment have been overwhelmingly positive, and I look forward to continued satisfaction with my membership.

The place has it all.
Wide variety of equipment, from machines to bands and ab rollers.

I'm my 3 years of being subscribed, I've tried many programs and never had to compromise because the gym was missing an equipment.

There are a wide variety of courses offered, there's a sauna, the place is clean and there's plenty of space. The staff is also very reactive. Didier the manager is always friendly and goes the extra mile.

Another thing I like about Gym St Henri are the business hours. From 6am to 10pm on week days and 8am to 8pm on weekends (even on off days).

I could go on and on about my experience but the main takeaway is that the gym membership is absolutely worth every penny.

Gym is clean, but got overcharged multiple times and the back and forth to argue payments with staff is hell to deal with. The classes are fun so that gets an extra star

L’équipement est excellent il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour faire un bon training. Le gym ainsi que les douches, toilettes, sauna sont toujours très propres.

Love my gym! It can get busy at peak hours, but that is normal anywhere. I love Shelly & Suad’s classes, as well as the treadfit. They just got new weights & are constantly improving. The staff is awesome, especially Victoria.

Great facilities. Super clean and airey place to workout. Excellent options for cardio, free weights, machine and classes. Super clean. Friendly bi-lingual staff

Overall good gym. Group class instructors are great and people are friendly. The first floor feels a bit crammed with all of the machines so it can be a bit intimidating to venture there. The vent system could use some cleaning and dusting, especially with the ongoing air quality issues. Also wish they would reinstate online reservations for group classes. Note that they do not sell day passes, you get a free one day trial but after that it’s only monthly memberships (about 70$ a month currently).

As a newcomer to Montreal looking to join a gym, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a free trial upon walking into Gym St-Henri. Friendly staff, clean gym area, and all the equipment you’d ever need. Would 100% recommend this gym to anyone in the area

Très bon gym. Il manque certaines machines pour les jambes et il n'y a pas de bain d'eau froide pour le spa.
Pour le reste, ça reste un endroit très agréable.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel right at home. The facility is clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I need for my workouts. I especially appreciate the variety of equipment and classes offered, which keeps my workouts fun and challenging. The gym also offers convenient hours, making it easy to fit a workout into my busy schedule. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great workout experience!

Love this gym! Always clean and I like the mix of classes available. Did the 6: 15pm body pump class with Sarah today and had an amazing workout! Will be back!

Disrespectful and unhelpful staff. Expensive rates for the below than average gym experience you get in return. Very limited cardio section, most machines are often out of service.

The customer service experience is beyond what I was expecting! Didier, who I thought was the owner of the gym because of how involved and helpful he is, is extremely kind and funny (until you don’t scan your card hahaha). He really is everywhere, giving classes, giving tours, cleaning the change rooms and making the best protein smoothies. All the staff members are honestly so awesome. Sebree, Victoria, Joseph, and Christina are always there to help. Victoria’s spinning class is the highlight of my week! Gym St-Henri is honestly my new safe place because of them. I can’t thank them enough for what they brought into my life. Best gym ever!

This gym continued to charge me months after my gym membership contract had ended. I received a refund from them; however, what they have done is unacceptable.

I love this gym! Equipment is newer and nicer than most gyms I’ve tried, staff is super nice and helpful and other members are very respectful which is always a plus! It never gets too crowded (I don’t recall ever having to wait to use equipment), and the space itself is beautiful with the brick walls and plenty of natural light. Yes the membership can get pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for if you’re a regular user!

Gym de qualité à Montréal, le prix est un peu cher mais ca vaut definitivement le coup. Il y a toute sorte d’appareil et d’accessoires pour s’entraîner et le matériel est bien entretenu.

I was open to negotiating a wide range of compromises regarding my membership including paying 50%-100% of the months since your gym stopped charging me (for whatever reason). You guys called me during the pandemic to specifically ask if I wanted to continue my membership and I told you that "absolutely yes" I do want to continue my membership.

I might have even considered the near full price rate I was offered if I didn't need to sign a new one year contract and if I also wasn't told to my face that it's my own fault for canceling my membership (something that never happened).

I was one of the first people to walk through the door and buy a membership at your gym and now you've broken your promise to me about my rate without even respecting me enough to have a conversation about how to resolve the issue in a way that's fair to both of us.

Le gym est bien, propre. Les cours de groupe et le spinning sont inclus dans l'abonnement. Les gens de l'accueil sont sympathiques. Toutefois, je trouve qu'il y a de la perte d'espace. Par exemple, il y a seulement 4 bancs devant les grands miroirs, ce qui est à mon avis très limité. Il n'y a également pas de stair masters ou de box coussinés pour faire des jumping box. Je sais qu'il y a un service de physio et autres, ce qui est super aussi, mais ces espaces prennent beaucoup de place (au 1er et au sous-sol) et cela coupe à mon avis un espace non négligeable pour la salle d'entraînement qui pourrait grandement en bénéficier:)

As a woman, I find it extremely hard to find a gym where I feel comfortable. The crowd that works out at Gym St-Henri is serious and respectful, which allows me to focus on myself. Also the staff is very friendly and the place is aesthetically nice! My favorite gym in the city by far.

The place is impeccable, they really put effort on supporting the clients during the Covid measures. Shout out to the manager Didier for his availability, professionalism, good vibe and support whenever needed. Would recommend eyes closed!

Le gym est propre et complet! On peut faire des cours, du bike, participer aux cours collectifs et même utiliser le sac de boxe!
Le gym est équipé d'un sauna ce qui rend la fin de séance encore plus agréable.
Le staff est accueillant et sympathique. Merci Didier pour ton professionnalisme!

Excellent facility & wonderful staff. Been working out there for 2+ years, really enjoy it there. Watching Habs hockey games & working out is my weekday escape.

The members? 99% excellent, with the exception of maskless idiots & bros hogging machines (while staring at their cell phones). You get that at every gym, unfortunately.

All in all, great place to work out

Shout out to St-Henri Gym, my local spot where I keep fit and release stress. And to Didier and the staff as well, who run the show safely, efficiently and with a little swag. Highly recommended!

One of the nicest gyms in the city. Everything is clean and there is a great selection of equipment. As a bonus- you can pick up your Lufa Farm basket here too. They’d get a 5* review if they offered a month to month option instead of a yearly contract.

I have been working out at this gym since it opened and I love it. I would like to thank Didier specifically for helping me throughout these years. Whether I had a question about a specific workout or about using particular equipment, he has been always there to help with a smile:) People like him are an asset to any gym and they make going to a gym an enjoyable experience.

Dishonest with no integrity.

When I originally visited the GYM, they offered a free session to test out the place. It was still in construction but the equipment was good enough… Before signing up I inquired about cancelation fees because there was nothing about this on the contract. I have a health condition that could keep me away from the GYM so this point was VERY important to me. I was told the cancelation penalty was loosing the first month perceived at the beginning of the membership. I asked semi-jokingly "You're not going to give me trouble if I cancel right? " She laughed and said "Of course not! ". I signed the paper and 5-6 months in, as feared, my condition degraded and I couldn't get in the GYM anymore. I canceled my membership explaining the situation but the person I corresponded with had a completely different attitude. They wanted me to pay the rest of my membership in full. They were referring to a second page of the contract that didn't exist when I signed at the very beginning. I sent them a picture of the contract I signed but they wouldn't hear anything and they couldn't send me any proof of me signing the contract they were referring to. I tried everything I could to communicate the situation in multiple emails but they never even acknowledged they read the messages. They have been harassing me by email and telephone ever since, threatening me to send the account in collection and saying they kept my membership open and keep pilling the amounts due. They're not honest and do not take responsibility for their employees commitments.

The manager is unprofessional and the turn around in staff.instructors is ridiculous. Pricey.and no drop in fees. 51$ a month for a year.only price. Where other gyms u have choices.not this one.

I like the layout of the gym. Never have to wait for weights or machines. Locker room is nice, there is a sauna but it's never on -pro tip: turn it on before your workout. The classes are fun, but they are catered to 9-5 schedule. I would love to see more morning classes during the week at 9 or 10. Good services with physio extra. Price of the gym and other services are fairly priced.
