Gyoka Izakaya Sushi Bar

My girlfriend is picky with sushis and those are the best she’s had in a loooooong loooooong time. The price is good, the quality is unmatched and the service is friendly. This is the best sushi place around Montreal. I highly recommend it.

Great service. High quality Japanese sushis, udon and teriyaki. Lovely setting very close to what you would find in Japan.

The food is good, although I don't know if it will be something punctual, but it took an hour and a half to serve us, in fact there were two dishes left to arrive and I preferred to pay and leave

I love the place. It has delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and great service. Pizza sushi and special rolls were amazing. The sesame ice cream is a special thing to try here.

Really excellent sushi! There's a wide variety of interesting dishes, but we ended up taking the "assorted sushi and sashimi for one. " You don't really know what you're going to get, which was fine for us because it was all simply delicious!

The Sapporo came with 2 frozen mugs when we ordered a can for 2. The server was very friendly and attentive. Service was pretty quick despite being a busy Saturday night.

Hier, nous sommes venus pour la première fois et nous reviendrons assurément! Le menu offre tellement d'options intéressantes. Les nouilles frites aux légumes ramen, l'anguille Don BBQ sur riz et les sushis St-Lambert étaient un délice!

Excellent food, environment and service, you can raise your expectations and won't be disappointed. The food didn't take long, even with the place packed with customers.

We loved the SR_10 Allume, also the SR_13 Grand Canyon.

But definitely worth the SR_11 Rouleau Gyoka and the SR_17 Pink Lady

Saw the reviews and was expecting a lot from this place. I ordered a maki/sushi combo platter and found the taste lacking. The rice seemed to not have been seasoned well.first time I tasted a sushi with moist rice.

This is by far the best sushi place in the greater Montreal area, and it is not really expensive. The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind but not overbearing, you feel like you are in someone's home, but a stylish one. Great ambiance (fantastic for a date!), their sushi is out of this world! If you like sake, order the one called "Cloudy", and you will never be able to go back to your regular SAQ stuff. Oh, and their ice cream is great too! I love this place so much that I drive there at least twice a month from downtown Montreal. Highly recommended!
