Very disappointing experience. I hade made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and they just sent an email few hours before my pick up time that your reservation is cancelled as there aren’t any cars available. What is the use of reservation confirmation if you gonna cancel on pick up day. Better You should not have confirmed my reservation so i would have enough time to look for other options.

Deceptive Practices and neglected maintenance
My recent rental experience with Hertz on this location on November 2024 was, unfortunately, an ordeal marked by deceptive practices and neglected maintenance, significantly impacting my safety and overall satisfaction.
Upon receiving the car, my concerns began when I discovered that one of the tires was low on pressure. They not only failed to address the issue promptly but also asked me to inflate the tire myself, citing a lack of means to do so at the moment. I was also referred to an affiliate garage to do the seasonal tire change on my own time.
This not only felt like an unacceptable burden but also raised serious questions about the service's commitment to customer safety and basic vehicle maintenance.
I did the mistake to take the care as is and as I reluctantly attempted to rectify the situation, it became evident that the tire wasn't just low on air—it was completely flat, exposing a severe oversight in the maintenance process.
This, combined with subsequent issues like poor suspension, made the entire rental experience a frustrating and unsafe ordeal.
While the exterior and interior of the car may have appeared well-maintained at first glance, the reality was far from it. A vehicle with a flat tire and neglected maintenance, coupled with the staff's request for customers to handle such issues themselves, is entirely unacceptable for a professional car rental service.
I strongly urge this location to reevaluate their maintenance procedures and prioritize the safety and satisfaction of their customers. Transparency and honesty should be paramount, and customers should not be burdened with resolving maintenance issues that should be handled by
the rental service.
I hope this feedback prompts immediate improvements to prevent similar distress for future customers.

On réserve et ils ont jamais d'auto disponible malgré la réservation et leur email de confirmation pour venir chercher la voiture. Déplace deux fois pour rien. Agence pas sérieuse. A éviter si vous n'avez pas envie de perdre votre temps.

A one star is too much for this car rental agency at this particular location. I give it a BIG 5-STAR ZERO! We rented through Priceline for a Tesla to be picked up on June 26th at 1pm (for my daughter's prom). We got there at 12: 30 and no one was in the booth. We waited for over an hour, called with no response. I called Priceline and they weren't even able to get through to someone. Definitely no fault on Priceline. The worst part is that the Tesla we had rented was right there waiting. We have rented through Hertz in the past (at airports) without any issues. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent from this place if you have a special event happening. Needless to say, we did not get the Tesla, and had to make other arrangements. Note to Hertz: major disappointment and at the very least, check up on your employees to show up for work or contact your clients that someone decided to take the day off.

Update: just received a generic message of how they appreciate the feedback. Same feedback to every negative review of past clients and obviously did not do anything about it.

Even thought it was very busy and had to wait for a long time, the staff was very nice and the car was super clean, very nice, I highly recommend.

Quand on appelle une semaine avant la réservation pour dire que celle ci est annulée (pourquoi? Parce que on ne loue plus au particulier, pas mal pour une agence de location). On prend la peine de réserver en avance pour les périodes de Noel et on se retrouve sans voiture à une semaine, et évidemment plus aucune voiture disponible nul part, même pas un geste de la part de Hertz.
Bref. Plus jamais, merci bye

By far the worst experience ever! I got at hertz checking area, the cashier took my credit card and information and said that my car would be ready in 20 minutes after it’s been washed. By the way you are getting a Tesla since the car you reserved is not available (what luck!) Then, 30 minutes passed and so I was wondering when the car would be ready. I inquired, so they said oh the car is not here, but it is coming. They made me wait almost 2 hours for nothing. It was past midnight. One of the representatives asked if English is my first language (it is not, but as you see I can express myself in English). He made fun of my accent and then I had to take a Uber to reach my destination. I was with my 6 year old son and wife. I had to call the the bank to dispute the $700 they charged me. The manager said he would cancel the charges but he did not. Do not use this company.

I booked a car a month in advance. They cancelled it last minute with no credit no alternatives. Ruins my plan, I suffered a big loss. Worst rental experience.

I don't recommand anyone to go rent a car with Hertz, the worst service car rental ever in Canada. It was my first and last. If you care on your credit record don't go there, there will charge you some extra fees, you wont understand, the customer service there is very Bad, they won't give all the informations you need to know.

Outstanding location for car rental, best cat rental experience in years. The manager is outstanding and all staff are well trained, friendly and greet you with a smile. Everything was on queue for my rental. All employees spoke multiples languages and took the time with me and other customer. From now on I will only rent cars at this location.

If I could give them 0 I would. I made a reservation through their web site with my wife credit card since we share accounts. When I showed myself they would not give me the car because it was under my wife name, fair enough totally understandable. Then the Manager Alexandre told me he could not reverse the charge because of the terms and service …. So he left me stranded no car with 60$ charge I can’t get back, I was frustrated and expressed my problem, instead of helping me out he told me to read the agreement and to get out of the point of service. I don’t recommend this company they “legally”stole me 60$.

I never thought I'd receive service so awesome from a car rental agency that I'd find myself writing a great review but the team at this store definitely deserves it! Not only were they professional, courteous, and fast at providing me with a straight forward service but they just had the best attitude and were full of spirit - something that I don't see often! Aymane, Jamie, and Safeer (sorry if I spelt any names wrong) really went above and beyond to make sure my trip went well and gave me a good laugh upon my return, I hope management regularly recognises their hard work! Thanks again guys, I'll definitely come to you first next time I need to rent a car in MTL!

Complete disgrace to Hertz. I don't know how but they are artificially pumping their positive reviews. I am severely disappointed. I am a 5 star Hertz member and I was treated like less than a human person. The staff swore at me multiple times and literally told me to "Get the eff out of there" even though I was simply picking up a car rental. Every staff member was disrespectful and the level of rudeness was completely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional.

Terrible customer service received from this company. I am a Presidents Circle member and the staff at this location treated me like garbage. Very disappointing experience. Needed to put my car somewhere for 5 minutes and one of the staff continued to yell at me over and over as I was trying to simply get my rental. Very rude and unprofessional. Can't wait for y'all to go out of business again tbh. What a joke. Buyer beware. Rent elsewhere if you want to be treated like a human being instead of like cattle. You should be ashamed of yourself for treating top tier customers this way.

Great customer service! I enjoy picking the car and returning here. On Sat I was in a long line waiting for the pickup with only 1 staff (later on I know his name is Alex) in the shop. Noticed that he was really very patient and professionally handling every customer's question. Good job! I was impressed and so gave 5 star right after the trip.

J'ai eu la pire service au monde avec Hertz. J'ai réservé 2 semaines en avance pour louer leur auto pour aller à Ottawa. Ils m'ont garanti que je vais avoir une auto SUV dans 2 semaines. Ensuite, une journée avant que je prenne l'auto, un de leur employé m'a contacté pour dire qu'il n'y a aucun auto disponible dans leur magasin. J'étais vraiment en colère. J'ai du appelé un autre magasin de location d'auto pour pouvoir voyager à Ottawa. Plus jamais je vais faire affaire avec Hertz

Absolute disgrace to an already poorly looked upon profession. Car rental businesses already have a reputation for being “shady” and this location does not help the cause. If you are considering renting a car from this location be prepared when returning the vehicle for ridiculous extra fees. They take advantage of people on purpose. You will leave feeling completely scammed and rightfully so because you have been. My interaction with this location has left an awful taste in my mouth and has lost my business in the future. Great job Hertz! You should be ashamed. PLEASE read the other negative reviews and you will begin to understand.

This could potentially be said about other rental companies, but, in this instance, Hertz is a complete scam. They thrive off of misinformation and providing a lack of information so they can hit you with additional fees. And, when you bring this up to numerous employees, each hides behind "the corporation" to avoid taking responsibility for over-charging and under-serving you. Truly an example of pernicious capitalism.

Listen from a person who rents cars often do not go to any location on Décarie or off Décarie they have no customer service what’s so ever. First I get to the location and I’m stuck waiting in a line outside and it was like so random because you would think it’s just people hanging out outside. They only let 1 person in due to covid which is fine again but what is not fine is being hit with a weird charge after I return the car which turns out to be a week later a pre authorization hold I call them about it they make it seem like if I rented a car and it didn’t go through it’s because I have not enough money available, no buddy it’s because their is a pending authorization on card if I go to another place to rent a car it would be impossible since technically if they have one of those I have a contact open. I have to spend my whole morning fighting this because the manager Alex wants to be a know it all when it’s him or his employee that messed up, I wouldn’t have even cared about the charge because things happen and this is easily fixable but after the disrespect I received here just makes me believe all the rental car places on Décarie are terrible! Enterprise on de la savne is just as terrible as this place.

Safeer was a GEM! He helped me figure out where to park my actual car while I had the rental, and was just so so so nice and friendly! Alex and Mo were also absolutely wonderful, all three of these guys made the entire process so simple. They also helped me upgrade my rental and I LOVED THE CAR! Amazing value and service, love this place.

Hertz rarely disappoints. This is another location where you would be hard pressed to visit unless you happen to live in Montreal. It's a little out of the way, but if you know your way around, the personnel of this location will do their best to make it worth your while to visit. Hertz should also make an effort on becoming more price competitive.

Le pire service à la clientèle que j'ai jamais vu. J'ai appelé pour avoir certains renseignements et un employé du nom de Suzy m'a donné de fausses informations au téléphone (de l'aveu du gérant). La journée même de la location celui-ci refusait de dire son nom pour que je sache que c'était lui qui s'était trompé, en plus de se montrer arrrogant et de ne pas coopérer.
En plus leurs communications internet sont exclusivement en anglais pour les remboursements. Le remboursement que j'ai demandé au service à la clientèle de Hertz il y a plus d'un mois n'a jamais été envoyé alors que j'ai suivi la totalité des termes et conditions. Ma banque est présentement en enquête.

Allez voir ailleurs, ce sont des escrocs.
