Holiday Inn Express Quebec Sainte-Foy

It is close to the airport, and if you drive from Montréal and you do not have anything to do in downtown, you save energyg! I like the breakfast here and I can say that compared to their branch in Toronto, they are was better in anything.

Room: Advertised as queen bed but only marginally larger than a double. I sleep on a queen every day, so I know. No place to open a big suitcase except on the bed, not even a 2-seater sofa, which is below the standard of other HIEs.
Service: Fresh towel had hair in it. Floor not vacuumed once during our 4-night stay. The hair from the towel that I shook down on the floor on the first day stayed there until I left, as did a bead that rolled from my slippers. Tea bags not replenished. Advertised as "full breakfast" when the correct text should have been "full breakfast for carnivores".
Location: Not close to anything except the aquarium and a shopping mall, which aren't people's first choice of sightseeing after an 800 km drive.

That explanation helpful enough for you Mr Lamarre? Feel free to spew out your canned responses about how standard your rooms are, how your room service is first class and why didn't I complain while I was there instead of complaining afterwards, how you have dry bread and cold yogurt for non-carnivores and all the other text written in the script given to you by the "management".

J'ai beaucoup aimé mon expérience. La réception était accueillante, la chambre était propre et le lit très confortable. Je suis très reconnaissante que mes chiens ont été acceptés, elles ont adorées leur séjour. Le déjeuner et très apprécié également!

Bel hôtel tranquille, beau spa et nous avons adoré le déjeuner américain style buffet chaud inclus dans le prix. Nous y retournerons!

J’ai hébergé dans la suite, elle est très grande. Contient un coffret de sécurité,
Machine à café Kuring et un mini frigo. Il a aussi 2 divan et un grand sofa.

Le matelas est excellent! Un des meilleurs que j’ai eu dans un hôtel.

Seul bémol, le pommeau de douche est vraiment pas bon.
Coter prix c’est relativement correct.

Our recent stay was filled with bizarre events, from beginning to end.
The day before our arrival, we received an email to check-in - new concept perhaps, but we didn't bother with this service because we would still have to check in at reception to get keys anyway.

The credit card was then charged for the full amount while we were still enrolled and hadn't even checked in yet. A quick call to the hotel, and this was explained.

On our first night, we're were woken up by a phone call at 11PM from reception asking us if we were in our room, and told us not to worry because everything was OK. We asked for clarification, but they could not explain the reason for the call at that hour.

At 8: 30 the next morning, housekeeping came into the room, despite us having a sign on the door that we did not need to clean that day. I've never had housekeeping come into a room that early in the morning. We explained to her that we did not need any service that day.

The following day, our room did not get cleaned at all, despite not having a sign on the door at all, and we asked twice to have the room cleaned. We went to reception to get towels and face clothes to last the rest of our stay.

The hotel was easy to find, and check-in was fast and easy, and our room was ready when we arrived. It's pretty easy to find and just a few seconds off the highway.

Normally the breakfast is fantastic at Holiday Inn express, But this time the options were exactly the same every single day. The only thing that changed was 3 days we had scrambled eggs and one day we had a cheese omelet. Other than that, we had the same fruit choices, sausages for the meat option, and the same pastries. The food was good, and there are options, just no variety.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family and it was amazing. The beds and all the services were comfortable. The hot tub was a treat as well and my family enjoyed it a lot too. The breakfast was amazing too. They had everything that they had advertised on their website in their rooms (tv, microwave, fridge, etc.). My hotel room had a lot of features and I was very impressed with it. If I ever come back to Quebec City, I will definitely stay here!

Enough parking space. Very nice heated (bubble) outdoor pool. Complementary towels provided. Nice rooms, good Breakfast and friendly staff.

The hotel was very nice, and seemed clean; however, we needed the pullout couch (we had a suite) for our daughter. To our dissatisfaction, the pullout had dirty linens with hair visible. Gross. We called the front desk and they told us they would drop off new linens but that no housekeeping was around to change the bed, so I’d have to do it myself ….
Disgusting.
When the front desk staff came to drop off she sheets, I had to make it very awkward and say, “could you please take the dirty sheets off, because I’m not going to”. The staff member did in the end, but I should not have had to ask.

In my opinion, the hotel should be prepared to cover housekeeping duties when needed.

We stayed here for a week while my husband did a training. Had our toddler with us. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with the bigger floor plan - well worth the space! The couch was broken by a previous user so the cushions would slide off all the time and my kid fell a few times.
The daily hot breakfast was great - lots of choice but it is the same every day.
Nice little convenience area at the entrance.
Front desk very helpful.
Nice lobby.
Pool is not a pool - it's a hot tub. Didn't use it unfortunately.
Lots of parking but it filled up quick.
Location is 5min walk to the aquarium but at least triple for the way back because it's a huge hill. All the walks are about 20-25min to get anywhere. But there are a couple restaurants close by. Otherwise we Ubered to the hotel which was great.
Great central location! Would stay again

0 Étoiles Pour commencer le personnel sont vraiment inadéquat, manque de professionnalisme et arrogant. Il traite les clients comme des voleurs et leurs politique de faire payer tous d' avance et même te prendre un cash de 200 $ j' avais jamais vu ca. J`ai eu un problème avec ma carte de crédit et il mont dit de payer tous d' avance, je m' en va au guichet retirer l' argent, de retour, il me revire de bord pour une deuxième fois me disant que c' est par débit, c' est sur qu' a ce moment lâ, je regrettais déjà 'ma réservation, je n' aimait vraiment pas leur attitude. Je reviens pour la troisième fois et il ose me dire au nom de d' autre institution que je fais du grabuge et qu' il m' accepte pas dans leur hôtel, j'en revenais tout simplement pas. Premièrement, ce n'est pas vrai! Deuxièmement, c'est de la discrimination et de la diffamation. IL n' ont vraiment pas agis avec bonne foi pour me niaiser de meme!

Bel Hôtel tout en sortant du pont, à l'entrée de Québec. Les chambres sont grandes, propres et modernes. J ai été agréablement surprise de trouver les produits de toilette J R Watkins dans la douche, ceux qu on prend à la maison, de qualité et non testé sur les animaux. Les déjeuner sont délicieux et les dames qui s en occupent sont vraiment très gentilles. Mon mari qui est très sélectif/difficile pour le café a beaucoup aimé le leur, plusieurs choix offert. La piscine extérieur est chauffée et à remous. Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour, idéal pour 1 ou 2 nuits.

Staying at the Holiday Inn Sainte-Foy was a good experience. Our room was clean, the breakfast was great & the customer service representatives were always happy to help. During our stay, there were closures because of the festival so wait times for Ubers averaged around 10-15 minutes. Other than that, if you’re looking for something just outside of Quebec City, Holiday Inn is a great option!

A nice place to be as a temporary HOME away from home. Staff is efficient, polite and helpful.
The location is ideal, near to Number of local attractions. Gas pump is near by. Quebec aquarium is a short walk away.
The parking is abundant and easy.
The breakfast is a pleasure, aplenty and good to keep you happy & full for five hours!

Rooms are spacious, well kept and beds are comfy and one the best I have ever slept.

Gym is small but well equipped and pool is nice and cool (hot water).
Overall, I and if you stay here once, SURELY will come back.

Note for owner: Please add one more chair to room to make it twosome

I stay here couple of times a year for over 10 years, the quality and level of service is exceptionally well maintained! Super clean property, definitely recommended!

This is our 2nd time at this hotel and as always it exceeds to our expectation. We checked in super late around 3am.

Breakfast area was very clean and people in-charge was super nice specially a lady named Fe.

Belle accueil, chambre propre et confortable. L' Arrivée est a 15h, mais nous sommes arrivés a 13h30 et notre chambre était prête!

Vraiment belles chambres au goût du jour, bien équipée. Déjeuner inclus. Pet friendly. Nous avons aimé notre séjour avec un service impeccable. Le seul point peut-être c’est le frais de 30$ pour animaux (notre chien est super propre) et le prix en général qui est cher… on s’était pris 2 mois d’avance pour réserver afin de payer moins cher mais malgré tout on a décidé de passer une seule nuit au lieu de 2 nuits car on aurait payé + 350$…

The room is clean and spacious, looks newly renovated. The staff are nice and polite. The breakfast is delicious too. HOWEVER, it's probably the most noisy hotel room I've been to. My room is right next to the elevator and I can hear the elevator doors open and close every 10min. Also, my room is right beside the highway and it feels like I'm living next to a F1 racetrack even after 11pm. On top of that, I can hear the guy next door coughing his lungs out.
I was here for a work trip alone, so I do hear everything especially when I'm trying to work. I'm sure you won't hear that much noise if you came for vacation with your family or if you lived in a different room that's not facing the highway and 3 steps away from the elevator!
I ended up getting earplugs which solved the problem, but I wish I didn't have to. Overall a great hotel!

Very friendly staff! Location is close to the highway, our room unfortunately faced it directly, hence noisy it was during daytime. Night was okay though, and the room itself was spacious and clean. The breakfast was served by ordering, I guess to limit attendance due to Covid regulation, but it led to long waiting lines. The fitness room was too small.

I stayed here about a month ago. They had electrical outage and weird way of serving the breakfast (probably due to policy but think about it, if everyone sanitized their hand and went to pick up the things they wanted within 2 feets apart, with a tong while wearing masks, it should have worked) but the way they served it was literally one staff by the window which would create a line and people trying to list off the breakfast menu items very very slowly (mostly since there are many options) and I could tell they just did opening since there were so many dust collected within the room that was just sitting there for as long as they had their hotel closed during pandemic.now it should be better as I'm sure they would have hired more staff, but since they didn't even have that much staff on board (as when 1 star ratings are starting to show up, if you read below, yes the long lines were real), needless to say, it just looks clean, but not actually clean

I was impressed with the layout and cleanliness of my room. I had the executive suite. Close to down town and wherever you need to go in Quebec. Very friendly staff.

De retour d'un voyage dans les Maritimes ou ns avons séjourné dans 3 hôtels 3 (Moncton, Charlottetown et Halifax). Hier, fut à Quebec et j'avoue avoir été déçu par le service au brunch. Le service est trop lent, très mal organisé, manque d'efficacité et ne parlons pas des poubelles qui débordent dans le restaurant. Bref, Cynthia a beau être gentille et communicatrice, il y a clairement un souci d'organisation quand je compare aux autres hôtels. La propreté dans les chambres est impeccable. L'accueil à la réception est parfait. Les chambres très bien équipées.

Nice hotel for groups or travelling with family and kids.
Great location. Short drive to main tourist attractions, Citadel, Plains if Abraham, etc and plenty of food choices in the area.
Hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly, bilingual also.
Free bfast but there can a lineup due to Covid protocols, free parking.
Small gym and outdoor heated spa.
Will come back for sure and I recommend to try this location.

This is a very chic hotel. Recently renovated, has all new amenities. Due to Covid restrictions, breakfast is being served rather than self serve.

Clean new rooms. Great front counter staff. Well organized. Could use a better selection of food for breakfast. Just one protein and powdered eggs. They could do more.

Hôtel « pet friendly » pour ceux qui voyagent avec des animaux. Le personnel est très accueillant. Les lits sont très confortables. Petits bémols dans notre chambre puisque la douche semblait manquer de réparation. Sinon, le déjeuner offert au réveil est bien garni. Hôtel à découvrir à l’entrée/sortie des ponts à Québec.

Séjour effectué dans le cadre de ma quarantaine à l'arrivée au Québec.
Le séjour était en mars, et pourtant je garde un encore un très mauvais souvenir de mon passage dans cet hôtel.

La chambre était propre mais j'ai trouvé l'accueil déplorable. Je venais tout juste d'arriver au pays et face à la difficulté de joindre mon entreprise étant censé avoir réglé l'hôtel avant mon arrivée je me suis retrouvé avec une personne de l'accueil très antipathique et peu compréhensive.
Bien qu'ayant l'obligation gouvernementale de rester 3 jours sur place + un pré-paiement de ma part l'hôtel a exigé le règlement complet des 3 nuitées à + de 1100$, plutôt que d'accepter d'attendre quelques heures que je puisse joindre mon entreprise et m'éviter ainsi d'importants frais à avancer.

Pour couronner le tout, la nourriture fournie en quarantaine était un vrai scandale. Plats arrivés froids, quantité insuffisante pour le petit déjeuner, ou encore qualité médiocre quand les plats n'étaient pas une commande auprès d'un fast food extérieur à l'établissement.

Je regrette vraiment que mes premiers jours dans ce fabuleux pays aient été au Holiday Inn Express.

Ah et pour la petite histoire la fameuse facture justificative pour me faire rembourser par mon entreprise je l'ai reçu plus un mois après, sympa d'avoir en plus faciliter mes premières démarches ;-)

Soyez plus smarts que moi, évitez cet hôtel.

Woww! Très bon accueil et de très belles chambres, très propre et fonctionnel. Tout ça a un prix très abordable.et en plus du déjeuner inclus.

Le personnel est très courtois. La propreté est impeccable et les déjeuners inclut dans le prix de la chambre sont tres généreux.

Comfy bed, black out blinds, use bottle soaps that are not super scented, and are good for coloured hair.

-1 star due to leaky AC but was fixed during my stay.

We stayed there from Aug 23 to 25 2020. I travelled from Toronto and wanted to stay close to old Quebec City. The hotel was amazing, it was clean, new and very stylish. The breakfast was very good. It was a buffet style breakfast. The Montmorency Falls and Old Quebec Fort was about 15 min.drive.

I loved this hotel and will stay again.

Free breakfast, free parking, comfortable beds. Didn't realize at first that there was a free shuttle to Old Quebec twice in the morning and two coming back later. It seemed as if the whole hotel went. No complaints here.

Endroit rapide d'accès à la sortie du pont direction nord. Bretelle d'accès direct sur Henri IV. Etablissement moderne, propre, bien décoré. Beaucoup de stationnement. Déjeuner inclus classique avec une bonne variété. Parfait pour un voyage d'affaire.

A very serviceable room with desk chair and space in addition to a lounge chair to relax at the end of the day. Slept fine in the bed. Not too much noise heard from other rooms and corridors, although the airconditioner and fridge were terribly loud. Standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast offering. Useful shuttle bus service into the old city, given the hotel is a bit out of town; but it also only a short walk from a bus that goes to the airport.

There's a relaxing spa, just adjecent to the entrance too!
