Holiday Inn Gatineau – Ottawa, an IHG Hotel

BEST Holiday Inn location I ever stayed! Just checked in my first night in Ottawa, could't be happier with this hotel! As soon as I walked in the room I knew I was gonna have good sleep tonight.

Room is spotless clean and spacious, and most importantly the bed is extremely clean! High quality and comfy pillow!

They have hard wood floor which is great feature! As I really do not like stepping on damp carpet and some carpets have moldy and musty smell.

Front desk is nice and helpful!

Clean rooms, nice welcome, but don't bother on having a breakfast there, the staff is really slow and you will waste your time, I spent 50 minutes after giving my order and still had no food. It ruined my overall experience.

The front desk made mistake in my billing. I have booked the hotel in advance at low price, but during the check out they altered the price and didnt agree to charge for the actual booking price, they said multiple cooked up reasons. As ihg member after raising a case its been corrected after 3 days. But they completely ruined my family trip happiness, which can't be bought back.

Je me suis fais voler des écouteurs Bluetooth JBL d'une valeur de 175$ qui étais branché dans ma chambre, surment par un des employés de ménage. Et aucun effort de la direction pour régler la situation. Je me suis simplement fait répondre: Aucun de mes employés n'es voleur on ne peut rien faire pour vous.

The "heated pool" was very cold. Most of the kids with us wouldn't even go in, let alone any adult. I told the reception which told me "they'd tell a manager" (basically blew me off). Nothing changed.

It also happened that during our stay, the kitchen was out of order, so no breakfast and no bar. All they had were fruits and granola bars in place of a breakfast.

Very recent refurbished. Amazing view from the top floors. Unfortunately no breakfast buffet do to renovations. The do have a small spread to compensate the lack of Breakfast with granola bars, yoghurt cups and fruit.

New hotel lots of amenities free breakfast and best thing free parking. Not sure why others charge for parking any ways.

The stay was ok but they overcharged 50 cad from me. Upon check in they said 199 plus tax and during check out they charged me 220 plus tax which was totally unprofessional. Also there was false Alaram in the middle of the stay. Brekfast was only just a Granola bar, some fruits and coffee. Worst stay experience.

I had item disappear from my hotel room after leaving room. First, turned the room upside down, search my handbags, luggage, etc.to make sure it really is missing
Told hotel management, they had search the storage. Found nothing. Supervisor didn't surprise when I asked, look like they have a lot of experience like this. Be calm. Yelling or screaming at the Front Desk Agent will not help you or your efforts. They helped me. How? Supervisor showed me where can I buy my missing items.

Un peu plus de la moitié de mon séjour est fait et je suis agréablement impressionnée par notre hôtel. C’est joli et vraiment très abordable pour sa qualité!

Le personnel est très amical et agréable à côtoyer. Service d’entretien aux chambres durant la semaine est impeccable, viennent changer les serviettes et refaire nos lits.

Enfin la chance d’avoir une douche qui ne te donne pas envie de la fuir après 2 minutes parce que son pommeau ne fonctionne que de moitié. Le jet est doux et assez fort (surpasse de loin des hôtels bien plus prestigieux auxquels je suis allée).

Gros plus aussi pour le frigidaire qui n’est pas minuscule, celui de la chambre est d’une grandeur moyenne et permet d’y mettre beaucoup de chose. Mention spéciale aussi sur le fait qu’il n’est pas pré-rempli de moitié par des items en vente par l’hôtel. Ceux-ci sont disponibles à la disposition de tout ceux qui le souhaitent à la réception!

Le lit est plus que confortable, les nuits sont agréables et mon lit personnel ne me manque pas même après 4 jours! L’air climatisé fait un peu de bruit, mais n’est pas du tout dérangeant ou désagréable et n’empêche donc pas de dormir.

Micro-onde et machine keurig disponible dans la chambre.
Bureau d’une très bonne grandeur qui permet de travailler confortablement au besoin.

Très grand stationnement qui ne manque jamais de place même lorsqu’on revient tard le soir. Proche d’Ottawa et de plusieurs autres endroits accessibles facilement en voiture ou en transport en commun. Une station d’autobus est disponible juste en bas de l’hôtel.

Agréable séjour jusqu’à maintenant. L’hôtel est déjà recommandé à ma famille et sur mes réseaux sociaux

Me and my wife come to Ottawa/Gatineau every 2-3 months to enjoy our favorite restaurant. We wanted to try out another Hotel which was Fairmont however, we decided to book this hotel again just because of the Manager Elias! Every time we come here we feel like home and he always makes sure that we're well taken care of! Thank you again Elias for everything

Nice and Clean, Good service and location, 10 minutes away from Ottawa Parliament Hill, closed to highway.

Breakfast was disappointing - they are renovating the breakfast area (which is not my fault or my problem). I only got a small yoghurt, apple and granola bar for breakfast. That was probably worth max 3-4CAD and it is not something you expect when you pay for breakfast in a hotel - I expected a normal breakfast: at least omlette or pancakes or something hot that counts as normal meal and is worth 10-20CAD in the breakfast restaurant. Instead of giving worthless breakfast during the renovation period, they should have written in big red letters that breakfast is not included because it is just not fair to count this as breakfast. I think it would be fair that they would return money for breakfast.

Bed was super comfortable (earned the starts).
Checkout time was 12pm but cleaning personnel attempted to clean the room 2 times starting from 9: 15am.

There is definitely something wrong with the Elevator system besides that everything is awesome!

This is a new hotel, which has already been stated in other reviews. I could tell it was new from immediately walking into the hotel (new smell). Check in was smooth as they already had our keys ready to our rooms. Upon walking into our room, we noticed the cleanliness and beautiful layout. The washroom was well lit, beds were big and pillows were comfortable. The rooms were well sound proof and we had no issues with noise from other guests. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return/ recommend this place to anyone who’s looking. P. S.we didn’t use any of the amenities so I can’t comment on them

Très bel hôtel! Les chambres exceptionnelles, spacieuses et très propres. Le gérant très courtois et poli. Toutefois, j’enlève une étoile car lorsque vous nous offrez
le déjeuner gratuit pour nos enfants, il fallait préciser que c’est à condition qu’un adulte mange pour 19$. La dame qui gère la cafétéria nous l’a indiqué d’une manière tellement brusque que cela a gâché notre matinée. Donc, erreur de la réceptionniste à corriger.

I booked a room for the May long weekend for a much needed time away with my husband. Unfortunately with the major storm that hit Ottawa on Saturday afternoon we couldn’t go because there was no power, cell service or gas. I called the hotel and spoke with the manager and he showed no kindness or compassion and said their cancellation policy for my room was 6PM on Saturday so they were charging me a no-show of over $200! Unbelievable and rude service. The manager said he couldn’t help and hung up on me.

Many restaurants on a short distance

Très moyen.
Le prix exorbitant n intègre pas le déjeuner qui finalement revient à 21$. Soit disant les enfants c est gratuit le déjeuner, une arnaque pour t attirer.
Ensuite on nous fait croire qu il y a du recyclage mais la dame de ménage nous a confirmé ne pas avoir de recyclage dans ses poubelles, elle n avait qu un seul sac. Un bel exemple de malhonnêteté et de manipulation!
