Hôpital vétérinaire Anima-Plus Gatineau

Unfortunately, I had to put my two babies to sleep. They crossed the rainbow bridge, but the vet and techs were super comforting. They explained everything and gave me plenty of time to be with my babies. They never rushed anything. My heart was broken but they were supportive through the whole process. My babies are resting side by side now.

If only there were a rating lower than a 1. I had an appointment booked for two weeks for my dog who is having some allergic reaction and is miserable. Day before the appointment, they call me and say sorry your appointment tomorrow is cancelled, but you can rebook, two more weeks from now! Absolute garbage.

Prices have near doubled since the clinic has changed management and most medication they sell i can get online for near half the price. Which is funny since there's usually like 3-4 employees there working after 6 yet there isn't any vet or technicians.so its basically a glorified pet shop after 6 that somehow needs more then 1 employe to function.

The robotic message when you call is extremely long and after youve sat through all of it they usually dont answer or return calls in a resonable delay. So youre gona have to sit through it multiple times a day to eventually reach them, i can repeat most of it by heart at this point.

However, staff is friendly.

Mon chien Charlie qui craint les vétérinaires depuis ça dernière expérience a très apprécié sa première visite chez anima plus Maloney. Chaque personne rencontré était très gentilles et professionnels. Mon chien a quelques problèmes de santé et j'avais plusieurs questions. Toute mes questions ont été répondu avec patience et sans me sentir bousculé pour partir. Je suis partie avec une solution beaucoup moins coûteuse que précédemment. Mon Charlie est entre bonne main.

Caring, friendly staff, from reception, vet techs to Vets. Doing an excellent job, especially under demanding circumstances. Their dedication & hard work is much appreciated.

Worst of the worst, litterally no employee to answer you. Called multiple time to cancel my appoitment and still wants to charge me. Just a scam artist disguised as a veterinary.

Les employés sont vraiment tous courtois et très professionnels. J'ai toujours un service excellent! Mon chat a eu une chirurgie dernièrement et je suis encore plus impressionnée du service! Mon chat a arraché son drain et le vétérinaire a accepter de voir mon chat le jour même et ce même s'il n'avait pas de temps de disponible, il a donc vu mon chat durant son heure de lunch. Vraiment, je recommande cet endroit à 100%!

Ils m'ont aidé, beaucoup, avec la gastro que mon chien avait attrapé.
Maintenant tout va bien et adore sa nouvelle nourriture que le vétérinaire nous a suggéré, merci beaucoup

Ça se dit hôpital vétérinaire mais ça prend plus de patients à cause de cette supposé pandémie. (en fait tous les vétérinaires font la même chose). En attendant c'est Ottawa avec leurs urgences qui s'en mettent plein les poche en chargeant 3 fois le prix. Dans quel monde on vit! Les animaux peuvent tous crevés.

We have had a few instances before we decided to never go to this vet again because of the poor service and how we felt as if our fur children were not given the care they deserved and needed. They do not take emergencies. When our dog had IVDD they refused to take him in to look him over and sent us to emergency. They also with the same dog when we went to emergency because of his teeth, refused to see him and wouldn't take him in for two months when the emergency vet told us the surgery needed to be completed as soon as possible as the infection would cause death. I vowed to never take our animals there again.
However, our new vet is in Ottawa and during the beginning of the pandemic we had an emergency with our cat has he was coughing a lot and we weren't able to go to Ottawa, we needed to stay in Quebec, so we decided to give them a try. What a mistake.
In March of 2020, we called Anmiplus and they would not see our cat in person they would only do a phone call due to the pandemic, which we accepted to try and get our cat to feel better. They deemed it was just a stuck hairball and gave us laxatives and if it got worse to give them a call. In April, we called again, as his coughing got it worse. They gave us pills said here is a month supply if it does not work. Call us and we will take him in. They did not work, and he was still coughing and it appeared to be getting worse. We called 2 weeks after in June when he was off the pills. And get him in. The informed us the reno’s we were doing where the cause. If it gets worse in a month or two call again. Here are more pills. Take him in September again because it was worse, doctor confirms by listening to his lungs it was asthma. We could do X-rays and stuff but he 100% has asthma. So we are like okay and confident with what the doctor has said as they are the professionals. She changed his pills and said if it isn’t better by November we will look into an inhaler so November comes around a new doctor looks at him, confirms yes this is a bad case of asthma he needs an inhaler. We get the inhaler. They say it takes 2 weeks to get the puffer in for him but here is the chamber get him used to it. Well three weeks comes along no puffer we call them and they have no record of the puffer and they said they will call us back after they speak to the doctor. The doctor never submitted it. However, when it arrived they never called and never told us to come get it. We called to follow up because we wanted to start this as soon as possible because it was getting worse. They informed us “you were supposed to follow up with us so we will need to charge you an extra 30$ for holding it”. We were going to go get iy next day as it was already late to go pick it up. However, that night we had to go to emergency as our cat has a seizure at 1AM. The vet at the emergency confirmed to us it wasn’t asthma as we were told for months. Turns out he had chronic lung disease. Due to the seizure he was in an oxygen tank and when we took him out he could barely breath. The vet at the clinic told us, you cannot diagnose a an animal with asthma just by listening to their breathing, xrays need to be completed. We asked to see the xrays (not posting as it is very upsetting to see) due to this misdiagnose illness we lost our beloved cat when we were doing everything we could for treating asthma.

Absolutely recommend this place! The staff are very friendly, the place is very clean and the service is great. The Vets take the time to explain everything and are really great with the animals.

Incompétence totale, mon chien toujours pas guérri après plusieurs visites pour le même problème, ils ne pensent qu'a faire $ et non au bien être de ton animal. Ne recommenderai pas pour tout l'or du monde!

Poor customer service, rude staff, more expensive then average $$$$. With all the vets out there, do not waste your time here.

Toujours du bon service, ils sont toujours heureux de voir nos animaux, ils y portent une attention spéciale. Je recommande!

J’ai appelé pour prendre rendez-vous.j’ai Appelez pour dire que j’étais pour être quelques minutes en retard, je me suis fait dire, désolé monsieur, être en retard de 20 minutes cela ne sera pas possible de prendre vos animaux Parce que déplacer les horaires de 20 minutes cela ne sera pas possible? Je lui ai dit, merci énormément mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi vous me charger 200 $ pour 20 minutes, Elle m’a répondu, Je le sais monsieur c’est tellement incroyable lol

Finalement je lui ai raccroché la ligne au nez j’avais des chats qui arrêtait pas de brailler en arrière de la voiture parce que j’étais en chemin et très frustré

Manque de gestion à l’interne, pour la prochaine fois essayer de moins compressé vos horaires

Un personnel très courtois et attentionné.

Dr. Deak est un vétèrianiare qui prends son métier à coeur et on peut voir que le soin et le bien-être de l'animal est sa priorité avant tout.

J'ai eu a quelques reprises des évènements qui m'ont dérangé avec eux.

Mon chat était malade j' avais été à l' hôpital vétérinaire à Ottawa et il ne semblait pas bien allé environ deux mois plus tard.

Je les appelle pour leur demander si mon chat souffre étant donné que j' avais été avec mon chat environ 1 mois auparavant m'assure que la médication que l'hôpital m'avait donné pour mon chat.

On me répond je vérifie avec le vétérinaire et je vous rappelle. On me rappelle et il est 2: 30 et elle me dit vient à 3: 00 on va l' euthanasie. Ayoye je t'ai pas demandé ça je t'ai demandé s' il souffrait.

Deuxième fois, j' avais déjà réservé mes vacances et je voulais pas le laisser à la maison et quelqu'un soit obligé de lui donner ces médicaments donc je demande pour le faire garder à leur hôpital et ils me disent ok mais frais de 2$ par jour pour les médicaments. Ok pas de problème.

Deux jours avant de partir je les appelle pour confirmer et me disent peuvent pas le garder parce qu'il demandait trop de soin.

J'appelle pour les médicaments et c'est toujours compliqué. Il y a pas de vétérinaire. Une fois j' ai été obligé d' aller à Ottawa parce qu'il y avait pas de vétérinaire.

Je trouvs ça spécial parce que c'est un hôpital vétérinaire

La dernière fois que j'ai appelé ils me disent que je dois retourner faire voir mon chat pour avoir un renouvellement. Pourtant ça fait pas un an encore et mon chat est pris du coeur et à chaque fois que je le sors de la maison il fait pipi et caca dans la cage et il a peur.

Je leur avait demandé quelques choses pour le calmer et dise Monet pour l'hôpital de" Ottawa lui ena donné.

Vraiment très déçu.

They took in my sick cat in a matter of days. Performed emergency surgery, you don't get that elsewhere, i know, i've tried. They call to inquire on the follow up. Amazing place.

J'ai toujours eu du bon service, lorsque tu as un rendez-vous, tu te présente en arrivant et attend ton tour. L'atmosphère est relaxant. Mon vétérinaire préféré est Dr Istvan Deak. Vraiment professionnel et gentil, les animaux sont à l'aise avec lui. Mes chattes sont très gêné mais se sont acclimater très vite à lui. Il donne des bons conseils. C'est un peu cher mais depuis que Dr Rheault a pris sa retraite je continue d'aller là.
I have always had good service, when you have an appointment you go to one of the desks anf present yourself and wait your turn. The atmosphere is relaxing. It's a bit expensive but since Dr Rheault retired I continued going there. My favorite vet is Dr. Istvan Deak. Really professional and kind, the animals are comfortable with him. My two cats are very shy but acclimated very quickly to him. He gives good advice.

Très bien mais ça coûte quand même pas mal de sous, alors ne prenez pas un animal de compagnie si vous n'avez pas d'$ pour en prendre soins.

Nous sommes arrivé avec notre petit chien qui avait une patte de cassé.
Ils n'ont pas pris la peine de le regarder et lui donner un anti douleur et calment.
Ils nous ont donné l'adresse d'un Hôpital pour Animal D'Ottawa. En plus c'était l'heure du traffic de fin Après midi. Pourtant nous sommes des clients de longue Date. Au moins à l'hôpital animal d'Ottawa on a été bien reçu et ils ont bien pris soins de nôtre toutou.

Awesome knowledgeable vet with competitive pricing, extended hours, convient location and a little boutique attached. Honestly this vet feels warm, welcoming and accommodating to each individuals client and pet needs. It feels good to being treated like a valued customer instead of a number

Bonus: The Bilingual staff made it easy for me as an Anglophone to understand what services I was paying for and my options available.

This place is highly recommended for your furry family members.

J'étais en détresse avec ma petite cocotte, elle souffrais beaucoup. J'ai appelé 5 vétérinaire clinique avant et Anima plus mon accueillit, même déplacé un autre client rendez vous pour me passer.
La Veterinaire qui a vu mon chien était très professionnel et sont assistante drole et comprehensive! Il sache comment maintenir et calmé l'inquiétude que nous avons. Merci beaucoup, je compte bien y retourner pour mes futures services.

Très bel endroit. Nous sommes venus faire micropucer ma petite chienne vendredi pour le spécial avec les anges gardiens et le personnel s'en est très bien occupé, il était très chaleureux. Krystale n'a pas chialé du tout:)

Anima-plus s'identifie comme hôpital vétérinaire mais n'offre pas de service d'urgence durant les congés les résidents du grand Gatineau doivent se rendre en Ontario. Après avoir consulté le web pour trouver où dans l'Outaouais Quebecois je pourrais voir un vétérinaire c'est ce lieu qui était indiqué ouvert. Même leur ligne téléphonique ne mentionnait pas qu'ils étaient fermé. Nous nous sommes retrouvés 3 voitures avec des animaux ayant besoin de soins devant une porte fermé.

We called in for an emergency appointment and were scheduled 1 hour after our call. Our cat was not doing so well but everyone at the clinic was very nice to us and very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable as well as the owners. The team was professional and knowledgeable. Thank you to the team for ensure the well being of our cat. A+ service

The staff are very friendly and compassionate at times like these. This is a picture of Kurumi in the exam room. Could be her last as tomorrow is the Lukimia test. Regretably she is only about a year old. Trying to do all we can for her at home now.
