Hotel Bromont

Si je pouvais mettre aucune étoile, je le ferais. Voici un aperçu de notre nuité:
- accueil froid et peu compréhensif
- odeur d’humidité et de cigarettes
- endroit sale, poussière partout, cernes et déchets à plusieurs endroits
- cuisinette avec ustensiles disparates et en plastique (vous êtes chanceux si vous avez un ensemble de coutellerie régulier) avec un seul verre de vin
- serviettes rudes comme du papiers sablés
- N’ALLER PAS DANS LE SPA: chlore excessivement élevé, s’en est presque dangereux. Mes cheveux étaient emmêlés et secs comme de la paille, mon maillot à décoloré et mes bagues en argent on ternis. La réponse de l’accueil? Si on ne met pas autant de chlore, des algues se forment… J’imagine qu’ils ne font pas tester leur eau et qu’ils mettent excessivement de chlore pour régler le problème.

Bref, je déconseille complètement. Même si le prix semble bon, je peux vous garantir que vous regretterez votre expérience.

Expérience de service horrible.
À la réception, comme dans la cuisine le matin.
Chambre son plus comme un vieux motel, qu’un hôtel.
Le matin au déjeuner, regarder pas le côté éco responsable. Ustensile en plastique seulement et tout jetable.

Séjour moyennement agréable

Premièrement, niveau insonorisation, c’est zéro point barre. Je suis malentendante et dans la journée, j’entendais des gens parler autour de ma chambre. J’ai un bébé et je crois fortement que les chambres voisines ont entendu les pleures de mon enfant. Je n’ai pas honte, mais c’est juste pour préciser à quel point qu’il n’a pas d’insonorité.

La chambre était belle, mais les décorations laissaient à désirer. J’ai inspecté le lit et tout était beau sauf a l’exception des taies oreillers qui était jaunisses. C’est désagréable de mettre sa face la dessus.

Au niveau des serviettes de douche, elles étaient toutes belles sauf une qui était jaune aussi.

Nous avions prit cette chambre parce que nous voulions un balcon. Très décevant, le balcon était relié a l’entré dont les clients passe par là. Nous n’avions pas d’intimité sur le balcon. En plus, les chaises étaient tachées de saleté et le balcon n’était pas nettoyer.

Nous avions demander à la réceptionniste de ne pas avoir de femme de ménage pendant le séjour que nous étions la. Une journée, nous sommes parties et quand le soir, on remarque quelqu’un est rentré dans la chambre parce que les serviettes de douche étaient propres et replacés et les poubelles étaient vides. Nous étions mécontentes.

T’es bonne hôtel. Personnel serviable.jacuzzi très très bien. Chambre très spacieuse et literie très bonne vue sur la montagne très reposent

Matelas et oreillers très confortable. Déjeuner continental un peu tôt, très correct. Belle vue sur talus gazonné, parc pour enfants et montagne. Papier de toilette doux mais super mince, eau de la piscine intérieure non chauffée. Chambre de deux lits caste et propre. Grand comptoir de salle-de-bain. Somme toute très bien sauf l’eau froide de la piscine.

Reading over other reviews I guess it depends on your expectations - if you care about your hotel when travelling, this place is not for you, it is basic and minimal with friendly and supportive staff.

Travelling with children we were expecting sufficient sleeping space and a clean room - everything else we considered extra and by that view they did good.

Some fact checks on the negatives:

- one of the reviews mentioned that the queen sized beds felt smaller - true.
- many of the reviews mentioned the 1 ply tp - also true. Somebody likely did the math and decided it was saving money although I cannot see how.
- there were "only" two pillows per bed (what do people actually do other than put them away with the pillow piles some hotels deliver?) and only flat sheets (but I have seen this in other hotels, too.)
- the walls are a bit thin and you can hear the people in the adhering room a bit.
- my oldest son happened to be in the room when the cleaning service came through and asked whether he should leave so they can clean the room, they indicated that they are only cleaning the bathroom (maybe/hopefully during people's stays)
- there is only one garbage can in the room and it's a tiny bathroom one
- the pool is indeed everything but heated (it was really cold)
- the hot tub was hot, the jets only worked 80% of the time during our stay
- the breakfast was very, very basic - one type of plain costco bagel, costco croissants, three types of costco muffins (chocolate, blueberry, chocolate chip), plain white and whole wheat toast, a bowl full of hardboiled eggs, butter and a small assortment of coverings (few jams, honey, cream cheese, analog cheese slices), three types of cereal (cornflakes, fruit loops and bran) and iogo 4-pack joghurts in a few different flavours, coffee and tea-bags, milk and juice boxes - that was it.
- styrofoam plates as the "primary offered plate solution" and plastic cutlery are a thing of the past and I hope they are not restocking them, there were ceramic plates available.

But to shift the view to the positives:

- we needed to check-in late due to our travel time / my work requirements and arrived even later than we had indicated at booking time, the reception was staffed and very helpful AFTER MIDNIGHT. We called ahead as we encountered traffic and were assured it was not problem (and they picked up the phone immediately)
- there was a pool; honestly - the pool area is a bit dated but nice, the pool is a decent size for a small hotel indoor pool, it did not feel dirty, some sitting options around the pool made for a nice enough atmosphere and coldplunges are all the rage at the moment
- the hottub was nice - it got crowdy fast due to its size but the jets were working 80% of the time, the water was hot and apart from a bit of spray-insulation (which was completely white and clean indicating nothing gross settled at the bottom of the hot tub) coming loose, it was nice and relaxing.
- the secure bike and ski storage area is an on-point touch for everyone visiting Bromont to throw themselves off the side of a mountain and we were even allowed to leave our bikes there past check-out on our departure day so we could go about the day a bit longer.
- we needed an extra bed for the double queen room and it was no problem coming with a minor surcharge.
- the view from the balcony was great and they had a cute groundhog family in the backyard that kept our kids better entertained than the TV.
- there are nice patio sitting options

I think with a few small efforts (getting rid of the 1 ply TP, adding a bigger garbage container and a microwave to the rooms (albeit, there is a community usable microwave available), and brushing over the breakfast buffet a little bit with things like adding the variety of costco bagels instead of just plain bagels, getting rid of juice boxes in favour of large orange juice and apple juice dispensers and never letting the styrofoam plates see the light of day again, this place would be even better.

I don't even know where to start.
We had booked this for a day just as a "treat ourselves" time out. Of course, as luck would have it, we had an emergency come up the day before our reservation. Explained that to the hotel and they still said we either had to follow through on our reservation or pay the full price. Absolutely no compassion whatsoever for people and difficult times. We couldn't afford to just cancel the reservation and have the money go down the drain, so we made arrangements around the situation to make it.
The only good thing about this hotel was the bathtub we got in our room. It's an amazing bathtub and it was definitely needed for a bit of relaxing.
The bed was hard as rock and left both of us stiff and aching. Not to mention the paper thin walls and people slamming doors ALL NIGHT. It's also worth noting that there was a janitor office or something right across our room where the person was speaking so loudly I felt like I was part of the conversation.
Honestly would not recommend, unless you're into sleeping (if you can even call it that) on a rock. It definitely isn't worth the price. Could get better for less.

At least the area is pretty.

Ne répond pas aux téléphone ou téléphone sonne occupé pendant des heures donc impossible de communiquer avec eux!

Ne dépensez pas un sous dans cet hôtel. Personnel peu courtois, murs en carton et des tournois de hockey toutes les fins de semaines. Des jeunes qui cours partout qui crient et des parents qui se soûlent toute la nuit dans les corridors. Personne à la réception la nuit. Nous avons fait un plainte et personne n’a daigné y répondre. Nous allons déposer une plainte à l’office du consommateur. Le pire hôtel que j’ai jamais visité. La propreté laisse à désirer. C’est une vraie farce.

Service client désastreux.
Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité des chambres.
Accueil ordinaire.
Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hôtel.

Nice hotel in a great location. The breakfast they offered had good variety and fresh food. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Pool and hot tub were both very clean and large enough to accommodate everyone.

Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the rooms are in need of some help. The toilet paper they have is way too thin, even public restrooms have better stuff. Only 2 pillows per bed, our sheets had some marker stains on them and one of the chairs in the room was falling apart. Also they advertise queen beds on their website but there is no way those beds are any bigger than a double.

I also don't love that we had to pay an extra 80$ per night for being 4 people in a double room with 2 "queen" beds. The charge comes up as 'extra occupancy' yet the room description clearly states up to 4 people.

Overall decent hotel for a decent price.

Service d'accueil médiocre, je ne recommande pas d'être la en famille (enfants) chambre très mal isolé et nous avons du changer de chambre du au supposé bruit de nos enfants la nuit supposément, met impossible que c'était nous puisqu'on sais coucher à 7h30 pm jusqu'à 5h30 am aucun remboursement même s'il nous ont relocaliser dans une chambre sans bain tourbillon et sans foyer comme nous avons payer! Nous ne retourner pas a cette endroit.

Personnel chaleureux et accueillant. Un déjeuner correct. Les chambres propres avec un plancher en bois. Les enfants se sont bien amusés dans le parc en arrière et dans la piscine et le spa. Emplacement très proche de la montagne de ski et aussi des pistes de randonnée. Un séjour pas mal agréable!

Nous avions une chambre avec vu de la montagne et notre chambre était au rez-de-chaussée face au parking… quand on a demandé de changer de chambre la réceptionniste a expliqué qu’il y avait techniquement des montagnes en vu l’autre bord. C’était vraiment pas un bon service. Les chambres était propre quand même mais pas super. Je ne recommande pas.

Médiocre hôtel. La chambre sent la moisissure, l air climatisé dans la chambre est trop bruyante, lumière défectueuse. Nous avons tué des fourmis toute la soirée. Les serviettes étaient petites et rudes. Ils disent: café gratuit, mais il n y a qu un petit sac sans lait et une mini cafetière cheap. Il était sensé avoir une cuisinette, mais sans aucun ustensiles. Et sans parler de la sonorisation absente, on entend tout de partout. Plus la vue sur l autoroute. Vraiment déçu, plus jamais

Ménage bien fait heureusement malgré les lieux âgés

Was heading to Granby zoo. Stayed here for the weekend with family and friends. Hotel was a little run down and I had an additional hidden fee for my two kids. This was a fee I wasn't expecting.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our children. Although it's location is convenient, the hotel needs better management and there are many health and safety issues. We've tried contacting them with our concerns and have not had a response from them.

- The children's play structure is not as advertised. The website shows a brand new built structure. The one on the property is old, dangerous and falling apart. There were pieces missing, and steps laying on the ground with nails in the wood.
- Our room was not very clean at all, as well as mold growing on the wall between the beds, on the floor and the bed skirt. This is absolutely a health and sanitation issue. The beds have not been cleaned under, and I know this because there was a child's tie under the one bed. We had only 2 girls with us, so the room was not fully cleaned prior to us arriving. There was also dirt and debris as well as something spilled under the bed. Again, see photos attached.
- The 'mountain view' that we thought we would have was of a garbage dumpster in the back, with skunks roaming the property. Not as advertised.

I found the hotel was not bad I only have one complaint so I have booked a 2-day stay at the hotel turns out I made I mistake on the date so I decided to call the hotel to say that I book the wrong day it was a mistake is there any way to retract the payment they say no they passed the cancellation -free and I had to book again I find that they could be more helpful people make mistakes they didn't even try to understand they just didn't help at all this is hard times for everyone I found compassion goes along way. The other problem was they didn't come and empty the garbage.

Odeur d'urine dans la chambre, kleenex sous le lit, couvre-lit sale, aucune installation pour le recyclage. Hotel très vétuste. Besoin de rénovation. Première et dernière fois.

Chambre / salle de bain vraiment sale. Douche avec moisissure, literie jaunie on dirait que quelqu'un a dormi dedans la veille. Serviette de bain avec odeur étrange.l'entretien laisse clairement à désirer.

Location was great, our room had ants, a few broken items, cleanlinessof room was questionable. Breakfast was ok, not a great set up, very crowded and hard to get your breakfast. Staff were very friendly.

La chambre sentait la moisissures le tapis était humide les serviette de mauvaise qualité et très petite il y a des perces oreilles sur la galeries et la galeries était défoncé. J'ai réservé pour 5 personnes donc j'ai payé des frais pour 5 et en arrivant la bas il n'y a que 2 lit donc on demande un lit pliant et on nous charge encore des frais de plus et quand je demande pourquoi j'ai déjà payer des frais de plus et on me répond que une personne de plus sa prend plus de chlore point positif le spa était agréablement très chaud

A la reservation ca dit avec balcon, et un sofalit, on est un couple puis 3 enfants, il ya juste un lit king avec des taches puis toilette salle puis un sofa qui souvre pas, quand jai parlé a la reception elle mavais dit je ne peux pas rien faire appar je te charge dautres lits pliable.horrible ca devrait meme pas exister ce genre de hotel/motel

Decent hotel if you aren’t someone with a disability or have trouble walking, as this hotel is not accessible by any stretch of the imagination. You need to walk up stairs to the second floor to get to the reception desk. Pool was ok, but not heated as advertised. Rooms are ok but dated, and it seems to attract party people as our Sunday night stay was interrupted by middle-of-the-night partying on the floor-level walkouts.

Réserver pour 4 personnes, obliger de dormir sur le divant et 1 lit de camp. Très décevant quand tu spécifies et payé pour 4 personnes

A éviter à tout prix. Lors de notre arrivée il avait changé nos chambres (nous avions demandé 3 fois des chambres collées avec nos amis). Ils nous ont littéralement dit qu’ils nous avaient fait une fleur en nous prenant dans leur ‘hôtel ’… après s’être engueulé pendant 1heure nous avons lâché prise puisque selon eux nous étions pas de vrais clients puisque nous restions seulement une nuit. Déjà là le service client est un gros 0. Notre chambre…. Sent la grosse humidité, il a y de la vieille bouffe par terre, des cheveux partout sur les murs, les draps, mon bac à glace était remplis de petites mouches mortes et j’en passe. Je ne comprend même pas comment ils peuvent avoir 3.5 étoiles honnêtement les photos sont tirés de la construction de l’immeuble parce que ça ressemble 0 à ça en vrai. Les patios qui communiquent avec des inconnus et les portes dans les chambres qui communiquent avec la chambre à côté est zéro insonorisé. Oh et si vous cherchez la tranquillité pendant votre sommeil oubliez ça l’air clim qui part au 20minutes fait plus de bruit qu’un moteur d’avion
Notre séjour a été de loin degeulasse.

Les employés sont soient bêtes et/ou on semble les déranger: endroit pas très propre. Trop cher pour l'expérience. Déçu

Bain tourbillon non fonctionnel téléphone de service non fonctionnel (on dit d utiliser mon cellulaire pour avoir le Room service.) aucun poste de télé satellite, vaisselle sale fourni en chambre, et tout ça dans une suite junior. Femme de chambre très bête et parle juste en anglais réceptionniste impolie. Très très très ridiculement ordinaire pour le prix

Endroit charmant, bonne accueil, propre et situé proche de restaurants, épiceries, etc. Super le spa et le foyer, j'ai adoré.

In entering our room we were content with the look and tidiness. Then we started walking around and noticed a few things. The room was not cleaned. The surface and handles of furniture had gunk on it. The steel door handle has soooo many finger prints on it. The shower had a soap that was left from the person before is. Shower floor had dirty dark spots. Not coming back here.

Staff was very nice.pool timing was shirt but Bec of covid.very polite staff.room was clean but oven was very small and not good for use.pots and pans.plates was in kitchen in room.just pits and pans was very old and used ones.overall good hotel to stay

The place was well-kept and clean, very welcoming, and a nice place for my three young kids to play outside. The pool was lovely. Can’t recommend it enough, we will be back.

J'ai eu une chambre rénovée qui était belle, mais pas très propre. Le sol avait clairement pas été lavé. J'ai trouvée plusieurs poils et cheveux dans la salle de bain et sur les tables. Des taches suspectes sur le couvre lit ainsi que sur une chaise.l'envie de dormir dans ce lit n'était clairement pas au rendez-vous. Par contre, la dame a l'accueille était très sympathique.

Me & my husband had a great time.the room was clean & quiet with a nice view of Ski Bromont, nice attentive staff. &
close to commercial and nature resort. I highly recommend this hotel.

Le Wi-Fi ne marche pas, le feu a gaz ne marche pas, les lumières flash, les chambre son minuscules, la tapisserie est décoller des mur et surtout le réception est très très médiocre. Bref cette endroit est a évité pour un séjour a l'hôtel en famille.

Le confort, commodités et petit déjeuné etait bien. Par contre, les draps sentaient mauvais et utilisé des ty-rap pour faire tenir les rideaux de douche est très ordinaire. Il avait plusieurs petits détails comme ca qui nous ont déplu.

If you're looking for clean, quiet and accomidating, look elsewhere! I booked 2 nights, followed all the rules, mask, sanitize and distance. First night was ok, into day 2, kids running down the halls, screaming and fighting. Walls are thin so was no getting away from it. Pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures and crowded with no regard to distancing and staff says nothing. No one wearing a mask except reception. We checked out early after i asked for another room and was told they were fully booked! With Covid, they booked up the place! Says it all right there. Would never return and would highly recommend you book elsewhere if you care about your health and sanity!

L’emplacement au bord du lac Brome est idéal avec un accès au lac pour la baignade via un des 2 quais. L’hôtel est très propre et bien entretenu. Les services offerts sont très élaborés: 2 spa (intérieur et extérieur) piscine, coin feu, kayak, canon, randonnée en bateau, restaurant sur place, etc. Chambre spacieuse, toute équipée et confortable. Rapport qualité prix excellent.

Clean super service. Breakfast simple but complete. I recommend asking for the top floor you can hear the people above you sometimes.

Les Chambres renovées sont tres belles confortables, elles sentent bon le neuf. Hôtel très propre, jolie piscine, bon petit dejeuner continental, bon service, nous reviendrons

Manque de poubelles dans la chambre, manque mouchoirs et indications pour code Wifi. Passer un beau séjour en famille, piscine, bouffe matin en abondance. Beaucoup restos proches (auto) GROS HIC FAMILLE NE RESPECTE PAS LE COUVRE-FEU.

Très dessus pour le prix Le bain fonctionnait même pas dans la chambre comme il faut il partait tout seul il arrêtait pas il on du enlève le breakeur dans la soirée Le lit avec des poils noirs d’un autre personne les tapis étaient prop prop très très déçu du prix

Asser ordinaire pas de porte de douche le rideau tien avec des tie wrap oubliger de changer de chambre vue que le lavabo coulais et surtout très eco 1e et dernière x pour nous

Très bon rapport qualité prix et le déjeuner continental est bien. Cependant, pas beaucoup d'espace pour travailler lorsqu'on a un ordinateur portable.

Great place to stay. Nice pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast with lots of choices. Only bathroom in pool area needs to be updated. Rooms were nice and they all have refrigerators and coffee makers. Very close to restaurants and shops.

Suis resté une nuit et j’ai profiter du spa et de la pacine qui sont bien entretenue.
C’était plutôt tranquille lors de mon passage. Lit trop mou pour moi mais je les aimes vraiment ferme.
Bien placé avec resto branché juste un peu plus bas sur la rue.
Déjeuner vraiment simple, faut pas être difficile, pain et pâtisserie avec céréales resume pas mal les choix.

Bien situé. Par ailleurs, je suis très déçu de mon séjour. Le balcon extérieur de notre chambre était pourri; mon pied à traversé le plancher lorsque je suis sortie. Franchement, peu sécuritaire pour un endroit familial! Le préposé de l'accueil n'était pas surpris, ni alerté!
De plus, de la moisissure tapissait le SPA et la piscine!

Rooms are clean except toilet has kept clogged, the Hotel has a very good continental buffet, for whole family, my kids were very happy.good location good parking lots. ONE MORE THING PLEASE, put more bilingual stuff, I do speak both Fr and Eng but they are not comfortable in English, in general am happy with may stay
